Murli
7Ōm śhānti .
8Om shanti.
8Rūhānī bachchō̃ prati rūhānī bāp samjhā rahē haĩ .
9The spiritual Father explains to you spiritual children.
9Pahlē-pahlē tō bachchō̃ kō samjhātē haĩ ki apnē kō ātmā niśhchay karō .
10First of all, He tells you children to consider yourselves to be souls.
10Pahlē ātmā hai , pīchhē śharīr hai .
11First is the soul and then the body.
11Jahā̃-tahā̃ pradarśhanī athavā museum mē̃ , class mē̃ pahlē-pahlē yah sāvadhānī dēnī hai ki apnē kō ātmā samajh bāp kō yād karō .
12Everywhere, at the exhibitions and museums and in class, you first have to caution everyone: Consider yourself to be a soul and remember the Father.
12Bachchē jab baiṭhtē haĩ , sab dēhī-abhimānī hōkar nahī̃ baiṭhtē haĩ .
13When you children sit here, not all of you sit in soul consciousness.
13Yahā̃ baiṭhtē bhī kahā̃-kahā̃ khyālāt jātē haĩ .
14Even while sitting here, your thoughts wander in all directions.
14Satsaṅg mē̃ jab tak kōī sādhū ādi āyē tab tak kyā baiṭh kartē haĩ .
15What do they do in satsangs until the sadhu comes? 16They definitely have some thoughts.
15Kōī na kōī khyālāt mē̃ baiṭhē rahtē haĩ .
17Then, when the sadhu comes, they begin to listen to the story he relates.
16Phir sādhū āyā tō kathā ādi sunnē lagtē haĩ . 17Bāp nē samjhāyā hai - yah sab bhakti mārg mē̃ sunnā-sunānā hai .
18The Father has explained: It is on the path of devotion that something is related and people listen to it.
18Bāp samjhātē haĩ yah sab hai - artificial . 19Inmē̃ hai kuchh bhī nahī̃ .
19The Father explains that all of that is artificial; there is nothing in that.
20Dīpmālā bhī artificial manātē haĩ .
20The Deepmala that they celebrate is also artificial.
21Bāp nē samjhāyā hai - gyān kā tīsrā nētra khulnā chāhiē tō ghar-ghar mē̃ sōjharā hō .
21The Father has told you that the third eye of knowledge has to be opened, so that there can be light in every home.
22Abhī tō ghar-ghar mē̃ andhiyārā hī hai .
22Now, there is darkness in every home.
23Yah sab bāhar kā prakāśh hai .
23All of that light is external.
24Tum apnī jyōti jagānē bilkul śhānt mē̃ baiṭhtē hō .
24You sit in total silence to ignite your light.
25Bachchē jāntē haĩ svadharm mē̃ rahnē sē pāp kaṭ jātē haĩ .
25You children know that your sins are cut away by stabilising in your original religion.
26Janma-janmāntar K|kē pāp is yād kī yātrā sē hī kaṭtē haĩ .
26It is only on this pilgrimage of remembrance that your sins of many births are cut away.
27Ātmā key|kī jyōt bujh gaī hai nā . 28Śhakti kā petrol sārā khatm hō gayā hai .
27The lights of souls have gone out; all the petrol of power has been used up.
29Vah phir bhar jāyēgā kyōṅki ātmā pavitra ban jātī hai .
28You souls will now be filled again as you become pure.
30Kitnā rāt-din kā fark hai .
29There is the difference of day and night.
31Ab lakṣhmī key|kī kitnī pūjā hōtī hai .
30People now worship Lakshmi so much.
32Kaī bachchē likhtē haĩ lakṣhmī baṛī yā sarasvatī mā̃ baṛī .
31Some children write asking whether Lakshmi or Mother Saraswati (Maa) is greater.
33Lakṣhmī tō ēk hōtī hai - śhrī nārāyaṇ key|kī .
32Lakshmi just belongs to the one Shri Narayan.
34Agar mahālakṣhmī kō pūjtē haĩ tō unkō 4 bhujā dikhātē haĩ .
33When they worship Maha-Lakshmi, they show her with four arms.
35Usmē̃ dōnō̃ ā jātē haĩ .
34That image represents the two of them.
36Vāstav mē̃ uskō lakṣhmī-nārāyaṇ key|kī pūjā kahā jāē . 37Chaturbhuj hai nā - dōnō̃ ikaṭṭhē . 38Parantu manuṣhyō̃ kō kuchh bhī samajh nahī̃ hai .
35That should actually be called the worship of Lakshmi and Narayan; they show a four-armed image because the two of them are together, but human beings don't understand anything.
39Bēhad kā bāp kahtē haĩ ki sabhī bēsamajh ban paṛē haĩ .
36The unlimited Father says: Everyone has become senseless.
40Laukik bāp kabhī sārī duniyā K|kē bachchō̃ kō kahē̃gē kyā ki bēsamajh haĩ .
37Would a physical father say to the children of the whole world that they are senseless?
41Abhī tum bachchē jāntē hō - viśhva kā bāp kaun hai ?
38You children now know who the Father of the world is.
42Khud kahtē haĩ maĩ sabhī ātmāō̃ kā bāp hū̃ .
39He Himself says: I am the Father of all souls.
43Tum sab mērē bachchē hō .
40All of you are My children.
44Vō sādhū lōg tō kah dēgē sab bhagvān hī bhagvān haĩ .
41Those sadhus say that all are God.
45Tum jāntē hō bēhad kā bāp bēhad kā gyān samjhā rahē haĩ ham ātmāō̃ kō .
42You understand that the unlimited Father is explaining unlimited knowledge to you souls.
46Manuṣhyō̃ kō tō dēh-abhimān rahtā hai - maĩ phalānā hū̃ … .
43Human beings have become body conscious. 44They say: I am so-and-so.
47Śharīr par jō nām paṛā hai , us par chaltē āyē haĩ . 48Ab śhivbābā tō hai nirākār , supreme soul .
45They continue to interact with each other on the basis of the names of their bodies.
49Us ātmā par nām hai śhiv .
46Shiv Baba is incorporeal, the Supreme Soul.
50Ātmā par nām ēk hī śhivbābā kā hai .
47The name of that soul is Shiva.
51Bas vah hai param ātmā , paramātmā , unkā nām hai śhiv .
48It is only Shiv Baba whose name is given to the soul.
52Bākī jō bhī ātmāyē̃ ḍhēr key|kī ḍhēr haĩ un sabkē śharīrō̃ K|kē nām paṛē huē haĩ .
49He is the Supreme Soul, God, and His name is Shiva. 50All other souls have names given to their bodies.
53Śhivbābā yahā̃ rahtā nahī̃ hai , vah tō paramdhām sē ātē haĩ .
51Shiv Baba doesn't reside here; He comes from the supreme abode.
54Śhiv avataraṇ bhī hai .
52There is the incarnation of Shiva.
55Abhī bāp nē tumkō samjhāyā hai - sabhī ātmāyē̃ yahā̃ ātī haĩ part bajānē .
53The Father has now explained to you that all souls come here to play their parts.
56Bāp kā bhī part hai .
54The Father too has a part.
57Bāp tō bahut baṛā kām yahā̃ kartē haĩ .
55The Father carries out a very great task here.
58Avatār māntē haĩ tō unkī tō holiday aur stamp ādi hōnī chāhiē .
56Since they believe in His incarnation, they ought to celebrate His holiday and also have a stampof Him.
59Sab dēśhō̃ mē̃ holy ḍē|day hōnī chāhiē kyōṅki bāp tō sabkā sadgati dātā hai nā .
57There should be a holiday for this in all countries because the Father is the Bestower of Salvation for all.
60Unkā janm din aur chalē jānē kā din , date ādi kā bhī patā nahī̃ paṛ saktā kyōṅki yah tō nyārā hai nā isliē sirph śhivrātri kah dētē haĩ .
58No one can know His birthday or the day of His departure, because He is unique. 59This is why they simply speak of Shiv Ratri.
61Yah bhī tum bachchē jāntē hō - ādhākalp hai bēhad kā din , ādhākalp hai bēhad key|kī rāt .
60You children know that, for half the cycle, it is the unlimited day and for the other half cycle, the unlimited night.
62Rāt pūrī hōkar phir din hōtā hai .
61When the night comes to an end, there is the day.
63Uskē bīch mē̃ bāp ātē haĩ .
62The Father comes in between the two.
64Yah tō accurate time hai .
63This is the accurate time.
65Manuṣhya janamtē haĩ tō municipality mē̃ note kartē haĩ nā , phir 6 din kē bād uskā nām rakhtē haĩ , uskō kahtē haĩ - nāmakaraṇ .
64When a baby is born, it is noted in the register of the municipality. 65Then, after six days, a name is given to the child. 66That is called the naming ceremony.
66Kōī chhaṭhī kahtē . 67Bhāṣhāyē̃ tō bahut haĩ nā .
67Some call it "chatthi" (the sixth day ceremony).
68Lakṣhmī key|kī pūjā kartē haĩ - ātiśhbājī jalātē haĩ .
68There are so many languages. 69When they worship Lakshmi, they have fireworks, etc.
69Tum pūchh saktē hō jō lakṣhmī kā tyōhār āp manātē hō , yah kab takht par baiṭhī ?
70You can ask them: You are celebrating the festival of Lakshmi, but when did she sit on the throne?
70Takht par baiṭhnē kā hī coronation manātē haĩ , unkā janm nahī̃ manātē .
71They celebrate the coronation day of when she was seated on the throne; they don't celebrate her birthday.
71Lakṣhmī kā chitra thālī mē̃ rakh unsē dhan māṅgtē haĩ .
72They place a picture of Lakshmi on a tray and ask her for wealth.
72Bas aur kuchh nahī̃ .
73They don't ask her for anything else.
73Mandir mē̃ jākar bhal kuchh māṅgē̃gē , parantu dīpmālā K|kē din tō unsē sirph paisā māṅgē̃gē . 74Paisā dētī thōṛēhī hai .
74In the temples, they ask for anything, but on the day of Deepmala, they only ask for wealth. 75However, she doesn't give wealth, but that is their faith!
75Yah jaisī-jaisī bhāvnā hai . . agar kōī sachchī bhāvnā sē pūjā kartē tō alpkāl kē liē dhan mil saktā hai .
76When someone worships with real faith, it's possible that he or she receives wealth for a short time.
76Yah hai hī alpkāl kā sukh .
77That is temporary happiness.
77Kahā̃ tō sthāī sukh bhī hōgā nā .
78There has to be permanent happiness somewhere!
78Svarg kā tō unhō̃ kō patā hī nahī̃ hai .
79They don't know about heaven at all.
79Yahā̃ svarg key|kī bhēṇṭ mē̃ kōī khaṛā hō nahī̃ saktā . 80Tum jāntē hō ādhākalp hai gyān , ādhākalp hai bhakti .
80Nothing can be compared to heaven. 81You know that for half the cycle there is knowledge and for half the cycle there is devotion.
81Phir hōtā hai vairāgya .
82Then, there is disinterest.
82Samjhāyā jātā hai - yah purānī chhī-chhī duniyā hai isliē phir naī duniyā jarūr chāhiē .
83It has been explained to you that this world is old and dirty and that a new world is therefore definitely needed.
83Naī duniyā baikuṇṭh kō kahtē haĩ , uskō heaven , paradise kahā jātā hai .
84Vaikunth (Paradise) is called the new world; it is also called heaven, Paradise.
84Is drama mē̃ pārṭdhārī bhī avināśhī haĩ .
85The actors in this drama are imperishable.
85Tum bachchō̃ kō mālūm paṛā hai ki ham ātmā part kaisē bajātī haĩ .
86You children have now come to know how you souls play your parts.
86Bābā nē samjhāyā hai - kiskō bhī pradarśhanī ādi dikhānā hai tō pahlē-pahlē yah aim object samjhānī hai . 87Second mē̃ jīvanmukti kaisē miltī hai-janm-maraṇ mē̃ tō jarūr ānā hī hai .
87Baba has told you: Whenever you explain to people at an exhibition, first of all, show them this, your aim and objective, and explain how you can receive liberation-in-life in a second.
88Tum sīṛhī par bahut achchhī rīti samjhā saktē hō .
88Everyone definitely has to enter the cycle of birth and death.
89Rāvaṇrājya mē̃ hī bhakti śhurū hōtī hai .
89You can explain very well using the picture of the ladder.
90Satyug mē̃ bhakti kā nām-niśhān nahī̃ hōtā .
90Devotion begins in the kingdom of Ravan.
91Gyān aur bhakti dōnō̃ alag-alag haĩ nā .
91There is no name or trace of devotion in the golden age.
92Abhī tumkō is purānī duniyā sē vairāgya hai .
92Knowledge and devotion are separate.
93Tum jāntē hō yah purānī duniyā ab khatm hōnī hai .
93You now have disinterest in this old world.
94Bāp sadaiv bachchō̃ K|kē sukhdāī hī hōtē haĩ .
94You know that this old world is now to end.
95Bachchō̃ kē liē hī bāp kitnā māthā mārtē haĩ .
95A father always gives happiness to his children.
96Bachchē kē liē hī gurūō̃ kē pās jātē haĩ , sādhuō̃ kē pās jātē haĩ - kaisē bhī karkē bachchā hō kyōṅki samajhtē haĩ bachchā hōgā tō unkō milkiyat dēkar jāyēṅgē .
96A father beats his head so much for his children. 97He goes to gurus and sages in order to have a son, because he believes that, if he has a son, he can leave all his property to him.
97Bachchā hō tō unkō ham vāris banāyē̃ .
98“If I have a son, I can make him my heir.”
98Tō bāp kabhī bachchō̃ kō duḥkh thōṛēhī dēgē .
99A father never causes sorrow for his children.
99Impossible hai .
100It is impossible!
100Tum māt-pitā kahkar kitnī raṛiyā̃ mārtē rahtē haĩ .
101You cried out so much, calling out to the Mother and Father.
101Tō bachchō̃ kā rūhānī bāp sabkō sukh kā hī rāstā batātē haĩ .
102Therefore, the spiritual Father shows you children the path to happiness.
102Sukh dēnē vālā ēk hī bāp hai .
103Only the one Father gives happiness.
103Duḥkh hartā sukh kartā ēk rūhānī bāp hai .
104Only the spiritual Father is the Remover of Sorrow and the Bestower of Happiness.
104Yah vināśh bhī sukh kē liē hī hai .
105This destruction too is to bring about happiness.
105Nahī̃ tō mukti-jīvanmukti kaisē pāyēṅgē ?
106How else would you attain liberation and liberation-in-life?
106Parantu yah bhī kōī samajhē̃gē thōṛēhī .
107However, no one understands this.
107Yahā̃ tō yah haĩ garīb , ablāyē̃ , jō apnē kō ātmā niśhchay kar saktī .
108Only those who are poor and weak come here because only they can have the faith that they are souls.
108Bākī baṛē lōgō̃ kō dēh kā abhimān itnā kaṛā pakkā hō gayā hai jō bāt mat pūchhō .
109However, the body consciousness of all the rich, important people has become so strong, don't even ask!
109Bābā bār-bār samjhātē haĩ - tum rājr̥iṣhi hō .
110Baba repeatedly tells you: You are Raj Rishis.
110R̥iṣhi hamēśhā tapasyā kartē haĩ .
111Rishis always do tapasya.
111Vah tō brahm kō , tatva kō yād kartē haĩ yā kōī kālī ādi kō bhī yād kartē hōṅgē .
112They remember brahm; they remember the element of light. 113Some even remember Kali etc.
112Bahut sannyāsī bhī haĩ jō kālī key|kī pūjā kartē haĩ .
114Many sannyasis worship Kali. 115They call out to Mother Kali.
113Mā̃ kālī kah pukārtē haĩ .
116The Father says: At this time, all are vicious.
114Bāp kahtē haĩ - is samay sab vikārī haĩ .
117By sitting on the pyre of lust, they have become ugly.
115Kām chitā par baiṭh sab kālē huē haĩ . 116Mā̃ , bāp , bachchē sab kālē haĩ .
118The mother, the father and the children are all ugly.
117Yah bēhad key|kī bāt hai .
119This is an unlimited matter.
118Satyug mē̃ kālē hōtē nahī̃ , sab haĩ gōrē .
120No one is ugly in the golden age; everyone is beautiful.
119Phir kabhī sānvarē bantē haĩ . 120Yah tum bachchō̃ kō bāp nē samjhāyā hai .
121The Father explains to you children when you became ugly again.
121Thōṛā-thōṛā patit hōtē-hōtē ant mē̃ bilkul hī kālē hō jātē haĩ .
122You gradually became more and more impure until you became completely ugly.
122Bāp kahtē haĩ rāvaṇ nē kām chitā par chaṛhāē bilkul kālā banā diyā hai .
123The Father says: Ravan made you sit on the pyre of lust and has made you completely ugly.
123Ab phir tumkō gyān chitā par chaṛhātā hū̃ .
124I now once again make you sit on the pyre of knowledge.
124Ātmā kō hī pavitra banānā hōtā hai .
125It is souls that have to be made pure.
125Ab patit-pāvan bāp ākar pāvan bannē key|kī yukti batātē haĩ .
126The Purifier Father now comes and shows you how to become pure.
126Pānī kyā yukti batāyēṅgē .
127How could water show you how to become pure?
127Parantu tum kiskō samjhāō tō kōṭō mē̃ kōī hī samajhkar ūñch pad pātē haĩ .
128However, if you were to explain this to millions, only a handful out of those millions would understand this and claim a high status.
128Abhī tum bāp sē apnā varsā lēnē āyē hō - 21 janmō̃ kē liē .
129You have now come to the Father to claim your inheritance for 21 births.
129Tum āgē chalkar bahut sākṣhātkār karē̃gē .
130As you make further progress, you will have many visions.
130Tumkō apnī paṛhāī kā sab patā paṛēgā .
131You will know everything about your study.
131Jō abhī ġaphlat kartē haĩ phir bahut rōyēṅgē .
132Those who are careless at this time will later cry a great deal.
132Sazāyē̃ bhī tō bahut hōtī haĩ nā .
133Punishment will be experienced and your status will also be destroyed.
133Phir pad bhī bhraṣhṭa hō jātā hai .
134You will not be able to raise your eyes.
134Mũh ūñchā kar nahī̃ sakē̃gē isliē bāp kahtē haĩ-mīṭhē-mīṭhē bachchō̃ , purūṣhārth kar pās|pass hō jāō , jō kuchh bhī sazā nahī̃ khānī paṛē tab pūjan lāyak bhī banē̃gē .
135This is why the Father says: Sweetest children, make effort and pass so that you don't have to experience punishment. 136Only then will you become worthy of worship.
135Sazā khāī tō phir thōṛēhī pūjē jāyēṅgē .
137If you have to experience punishment, you cannot be worshipped.
136Tum bachchō̃ kō puruṣhārth bahut karnā chāhiē .
138You children have to make a great deal of effort.
137Apnī ātmā key|kī jyōti jagānī hai .
139You have to ignite the lights of souls.
138Abhī ātmā tamōpradhān banī hai , unkō hī satōpradhān banānā hai .
140At present, souls have become tamopradhan; therefore they have to be made satopradhan.
139Ātmā hai hī bindī . 140Ēk sitārā hai .
141A soul is just a point; it is a star.
141Unkā aur kōī nām rakh nahī̃ saktē .
142You cannot give it any other name.
142Bachchō̃ kō samjhāyā hai unkā sākṣhātkār huā hai .
143Baba has explained to you children that some have had visions of this.
143Svāmī vivēkānand aur rāmakr̥iṣhṇa paramhans kā batlātē haĩ .
144There is the example of Swami Vivekananda and Ramakrishna Paramhans.
144Usnē dēkhā unsē kuchh light nikalī sō tō ātmā hī nikaltī hai .
145That one saw a light coming out of the other one, and so that could only have been a soul.
145Usnē samjhā vah mērē mē̃ samā gaī .
146He thought that it merged into him.
146Ab ātmā kōī ākar samā thōṛēhī saktī hai .
147A soul cannot come and merge into anyone.
147Vah tō jākar dūsrā śharīr lētī hai .
148A soul goes and takes another body.
148Pichhāṛī mē̃ tum bahut dēkhē̃gē .
149At the end, you will see much of this.
149Nām aur rūp sē nyārī kōī chīz hōtī nahī̃ .
150There is nothing that is beyond name or form.
150Ākāśh polar hai , unkā bhī nām hai .
151The sky is said to be empty space, but it still has a name.
151Ab yah tō bachchē samajhtē haĩ , kalp-kalp sthāpanā jō hōtī āī hai vah hōnī hī hai .
152You children understand that establishment takes place every cycle and that it will definitely take place now.
152Ham brāhmaṇ number-vār purūṣhārth kartē rahtē haĩ .
153We Brahmins continue to make effort, numberwise.
153Jō-jō second gujartā hai uskō drama hī kahā jātā hai .
