Essence

1 «  mīṭhē bachchē - apnē characters sudhārnē kē liē yād kī yātrā mē̃ rahnā hai , bāp kī yād hī tumhē̃ sadā saubhāgyaśhālī banāyēgī ' '

1Essence: Sweet children, in order to reform your character, stay on the pilgrimage of remembrance. 2It is having remembrance of the Father that will make you one hundred times constantly fortunate.

Question

2Praśhna  : avasthā key|kī parakh kis samay hōtī hai  ? 3Achchhī avasthā kiskī kahē̃gē  ?

3Question: At what time can you truly recognise your stage? 4What would you call a good stage?

Answer

4Uttar  : avasthā key|kī parakh bīmārī K|kē samay hōtī hai . 5Bīmārī mē̃ bhī khuśhī banī rahē aur khuśhmizāz chēhrē sē sabkō bāp kī yād dilātē rahō , yahī hai achchhī avasthā .

5Answer: You are able to recognise your stage at a time of illness. 6Even when you are ill, if you remain happy and your cheerful face continues to remind everyone of the Father, that is a good stage.

6Agar khud rōyēṅgē , udās hōṅgē tō dūsrō̃ kō khuśhmizāz kaisē banāyēṅgē  ?

7If you cry and remain unhappy, how could you make others cheerful?

7Kuchh bhī hō jāē - rōnā nahī̃ hai .

8No matter what happens, you mustn't cry.

Murli

8Ōm śhānti .

9Om shanti.

9Dō akṣhar gāyē jātē haĩ - durbhāgyaśhālī aur saubhāgyaśhālī .

10Two expressions are remembered: Unfortunate and one hundred times fortunate.

10Saubhāgya chalā jātā hai tō durbhāgya kahā jātā hai .

11When someone's fortune is lost, he is said to be unfortunate.

11Strī kā pati mar jātā hai tō vah bhī durbhāgya kahā jātā hai .

12When a woman's husband dies, she too is called unfortunate; she is left alone.

12Akēlī hō jātī hai . 13Abhī tum jāntē hō ham sadā kē liē saubhāgyaśhālī bantē haĩ .

13You now understand that you are becoming one hundred times fortunate for all time.

14Vahā̃ duḥkh key|kī bāt nahī̃ . 15Mr̥ityu kā nām nahī̃ hōtā hai .

14There is no question of sorrow there; there is no mention of death there.

16Vidhvā nām hī nahī̃ hōtā .

15The name "widow" doesn't exist there.

17Vidhvā kō duḥkh hōtā hai , rōtī rahtī hai .

16A widow experiences sorrow and continues to cry.

18Bhal sādhū-santa haĩ , aisā nahī̃ ki unhē̃ kōī duḥkh nahī̃ hōtā hai .

17Although someone may be a sage or a holy man, it doesn't mean that he doesn't experience sorrow.

19Kōī pāgal ban paṛtē haĩ , bīmār rōgī bhī hōtē haĩ .

18Some go crazy; some become ill or diseased. 19This is the world of disease.

20Yah hai hī rōgī duniyā . 21Satyug hai nirōgī duniyā .

20The golden age is a world that is free from disease.

22Tum bachchē samajhtē hō ham bhārat kō phir sē śhrīmat par nirōgī banātē haĩ .

21You children understand that you are once again making Bharat free from disease by following shrimat.

23Is samay manuṣhyō̃ K|kē characters bahut kharāb haĩ .

22At present, people’s characters are very bad.

24Ab characters sudhārnē key|kī bhī jarūr department hōgī .

23There must definitely be a department to reform their characters.

25Skūlō̃ mē̃ bhī students kā register rakhā jātā hai .

24A register of students is kept at school.

26Unkē characters kā patā chaltā hai isliē bābā nē bhī register rakhvāyā thā .

25Their characters can be seen from that. 26This is why Baba also had a register kept.

27Har ēk apnā register rakhō .

27Each one of you should keep your own register.

28Character dēkhnā hai ki ham kōī bhūl tō nahī̃ kartē haĩ .

28Check your character to see that you are not making any mistakes.

29Pahlī bāt tō bāp kō yād karnā hai .

29The first thing is to remember the Father.

30Unsē hī tumhārā characters sudhartā hai .

30It is through this that your character will be reformed.

31Āyu bhī baṛī hōtī hai ēk key|kī yād sē .

31It is by having remembrance of the One that your lifespan becomes long.

32Yah tō haĩ gyān ratna .

32These are jewels of knowledge.

33Yād kō ratna nahī̃ kahā jātā .

33Remembrance is not said to be a jewel.

34Yād sē hī tumhārē character sudhartē haĩ .

34It is by having remembrance that your character is reformed.

35Yah 84 janmō̃ kā chakra tumhārē sivāē aur kōī samjhā na sakē .

35No one, apart from you, can explain the cycle of 84 births.

36Is par hī samjhānā hai - viṣhṇu aur brahmā . 37Śhaṅkar K|kē tō character nahī̃ kahē̃gē .

36It is with this cycle that you have to explain about Brahma and Vishnu; you cannot speak of the character of Shankar.

38Tum bachchē jāntē hō brahmā aur viṣhṇu kā āpas mē̃ kyā connection hai .

37You children know what the connection between Brahma and Vishnu is.

39Viṣhṇu K|kē dō rūp haĩ yah lakṣhmī-nārāyaṇ .

38The dual-form of Vishnu is Lakshmi and Narayan.

40Vahī phir 84 janma lētē haĩ .

39They then take 84 births.

4184 janmō̃ mē̃ āpēhī pūjya aur āpēhī pujārī bantē haĩ .

40It is in their 84 births that they become worthy of worship and worshippers.

42Prajāpitā brahmā tō jarūr yahā̃ hī chāhiē nā .

41Prajapita Brahma definitely has to exist here.

43Sādhāraṇ tan chāhiē .

42An ordinary body is needed.

44Bahut karkē ismē̃ hī mūnjhtē haĩ .

43Generally, it is this that confuses people.

45Brahmā tō hai hī patit-pāvan bāp kā rath .

44Brahma is the chariot of the Purifier Father.

46Kahtē bhī haĩ - dūrdēśh kā rahnē vālā āyā dēśh parāyē … pāvan duniyā banānē vālā patit-pāvan bāp patit duniyā mē̃ āyā .

45It is said: The Resident of the faraway land has come to the foreign land. 46The Purifier Father who creates the pure world has come into the impure world.

47Patit duniyā mē̃ ēk bhī pāvan nahī̃ hō saktā .

47There cannot be a single pure human being in the impure world.

48Abhī tum bachchō̃ nē samjhā hai ki 84 janm ham kaisē lētē haĩ .

48You children now understand how you take 84 births.

49Kōī tō lētē hōṅgē nā .

49Someone must definitely take that.

50Jō pahlē-pahlē ātē hōṅgē unkē hī 84 janm hōṅgē .

50Only those who come at the beginning take 84 births.

51Satyug mē̃ dēvī-dēvtā hī ātē haĩ .

51In the golden age there are only deities.

52Manuṣhyō̃ kā zarā bhī khyāl nahī̃ chaltā , 84 janm kaun lē̃gē . 53Samajh key|kī bāt hai .

52Human beings don't think at all about who takes 84 births. 53This is something that has to be understood.

54Punarjanma tō sab māntē haĩ .

54Everyone believes in rebirth.

5584 punarjanma huē yah baṛī yukti sē samjhānā hai .

55It has to be explained with great tact that there are 84 rebirths.

5684 janm tō sabhī nahī̃ lē̃gē nā .

56Not everyone will take 84 births.

57Ēk sāth sab thōṛēhī āyēṅgē aur śharīr chhōṛē̃gē .

57It isn't that everyone will come together and shed their bodies together.

58Bhagvānuvāch bhī hai ki tum apnē janmō̃ kō nahī̃ jāntē hō , bhagvān hī baiṭh samjhātē haĩ .

58(In the Gita) It says: God speaks: You don't know your own births; only God sits and explains this.

59Tum ātmāyē̃ 84 janma lētī hō .

59You souls take 84 births.

60Yah 84 key|kī kahānī bāp tum bachchō̃ kō baiṭh sunātē haĩ .

60The Father sits here and tells you children the story of 84 births.

61Yah bhī ēk paṛhāī hai .

61This is like a study.

6284 kā chakra tō jānnā bahut sahaj hai .

62It is very easy to know the cycle of 84 births.

63Dūsrē dharm vālē in bātō̃ kō samajhē̃gē nahī̃ .

63Those of other religions won't understand these things.

64Tumhārē mē̃ bhī kōī sabhī 84 janm nahī̃ lētē haĩ .

64Among you too, not everyone will take 84 births.

65Sabhī K|kē 84 janm hō̃ tō sab ikaṭṭhē ā jāē̃ . 66Yah bhī nahī̃ hōtā hai .

65If everyone were to take 84 births, all of you would come down together; that is not possible.

67Sārā madār paṛhāī aur yād par hai .

66Everything depends on how you study and have remembrance.

68Usmē̃ bhī number one hai yād .

67Within that, remembrance isnumber one.

69Difficult subject par marks jāstī miltī haĩ .

68You receive more marks in a difficult subject.

70Unkā prabhāv bhī hōtā hai .

69It creates an impact.

71Uttam , madhyam , kaniṣhṭ subject hōtī haĩ nā .

70There are the highest, the middle and the lowest subjects.

72Inmē̃ haĩ dō mukhya .

71Here, there are two main subjects.

73Bāp kahtē haĩ mujhē yād karō tō sampūrṇ nirvikārī ban jāyēṅgē aur phir vijay mālā mē̃ pirō jāyēṅgē .

72The Father says: Remember Me and you will become completely viceless and will then be threaded in the rosary of victory.

74Yah hai race .

73This is a race.

75Pahlē tō khud kō dēkhnā hai ki maĩ kahā̃ tak dhārṇā kartā hū̃  ?

74First of all, look at yourself to see to what extent you are imbibing this.

76Kitnā yād kartā hū̃  ?

75How much do I stay in remembrance?

77Mērē characters kaisē haĩ  ?

76What is my character like?

78Agar mērē mē̃ hī rōnē key|kī ādat hai tō dūsrē kō khuśhmizāz kaisē banā saktā hū̃  ?

77If I have the habit of crying, how would I be able to make others cheerful? 78Baba says: Those who cry lose out.

79Bābā kahtē haĩ jō rōtē haĩ sō khōtē haĩ .

79No matter what happens, there is no need to cry.

80Kuchh bhī hō jāē lēkin rōnē key|kī darkār nahī̃ hai . 81Bīmārī mē̃ bhī khuśhī sē itnā tō kah saktē hō apnē kō ātmā samajh bāp kō yād karō . 82Bīmārī mē̃ hī avasthā key|kī parakh hōtī hai .

80Even in illness, you can at least say this much in happiness: Consider yourself to be a soul and remember the Father. 81Only at a time of illness does it become evident what stage you have reached.

83Taklīph mē̃ thōṛā kuṛaknē key|kī āvāz bhal nikaltī hai parantu apnē kō ātmā samajh bāp kō yād karnā hai .

82In times of difficulty, you may groan a little but you still have to consider yourself to be a soul and remember the Father.

84Bāp nē paigām diyā hai .

83The Father has given the message.

85Paigambar-maisēnjar ēk śhivbābā hai , dūsrā kōī hai nahī̃ .

84Shiv Baba alone is the Messenger; no one else can be this.

86Bākī jō bhī sunātē haĩ , sārī bhakti mārg key|kī bātē̃ .

85Everything else that others relate are all stories of the path of devotion.

87Is duniyā key|kī jō bhī chīzē̃ haĩ sab vināśhī haĩ , abhī tumkō vahā̃ lē jātē haĩ jahā̃ ṭūṭ-phūṭ nahī̃ .

86All the things of this world are perishable. 87I am now taking you to a place where nothing breaks.

88Vahā̃ tō chīzē̃ hī aisī achchhī banē̃gī jō ṭūṭnē kā nām hī nahī̃ hōgā .

88There, everything is so well made that there is no mention of anything breaking.

89Yahā̃ science sē kitnī chīzē̃ bantī haĩ , vahā̃ bhī tō science jarūr hōgī kyōṅki tumhārē liē bahut sukh chāhiē .

89Here, so many things are invented through science. 90Science will definitely exist there too because you need to have a lot of comfort.

90Bāp kahtē haĩ tum bachchō̃ kō kuchh bhī patā nahī̃ thā . 91Bhakti mārg kab śhurū huā , kitnā tumnē duḥkh dēkhā - yah sab bātē̃ abhī tumhārī buddhi mē̃ haĩ .

91The Father says: You children did not know anything: how much sorrow you experienced when the path of devotion began - all of these things are now in your intellects.

92Dēvtāō̃ kō kahā hī jātā hai - sarvguṇ sampann . . . . . . . phir vah kalāyē̃ kaisē kam huī  ?

92Deities are said to be full of all virtues. 93Now, no degrees remain.

93Abhī tō kōī kalā nahī̃ rahī hai .

94How did their degrees decrease?

94Chandramā key|kī bhī dhīrē-dhīrē kalā kam hōtī hai nā .

95The degrees of the moon also gradually decrease.

95Tum jāntē hō ki yah duniyā bhī pahlē naī hai tō vahā̃ her|har chīz satōpradhān first class hōtī hai .

96You know that when this world is first new, everything is satopradhan and first-class.

96Phir purānī hōtē kalāyē̃ kam hōtī jātī haĩ .

97Then, as it becomes old, its degrees decrease.

97Sarvguṇ sampann yah lakṣhmī-nārāyaṇ haĩ nā .

98Lakshmi and Narayan are full of all virtues.

98Abhī bāp tumkō sachchī-sachchī satya nārāyaṇ kī kathā sunā rahē haĩ .

99The Father is now telling you the true story of the true Narayan.

99Abhī hai rāt phir din hōtā hai .

100It is now the night and it will then be the day.

100Tum sampūrṇ bantē hō tō tumhārē liē phir sr̥iṣhṭi bhī aisī hī chāhiē .

101You are becoming perfect and such a world is required for you.

1015 tatva bhī satōpradhān ( 16 kalā sampūrṇ ) ban jātē haĩ isliē śharīr bhī tumhārē natural beautiful hōtē haĩ . 102Satōpradhān hōtē haĩ .

102Even the five elements become satopradhan (16 celestial degrees full). 103This is why your bodies there are naturally beautiful; they are satopradhan.

103Yah sārī duniyā 16 kalā sampūrṇ ban jātī hai .

104The whole world becomes 16 celestial degrees full.

104Abhī tō kōī kalā nahī̃ hai , jō bhī baṛē sē baṛē lōg haĩ athavā mahātmā ādi haĩ , yah bāp key|kī knowledge unkī takdīr mē̃ hī nahī̃ hai .

105Now there are no degrees. 106It is not in the fortune of all the eminent people or the great souls etc. to have knowledge of the Father; they have their own pride.

105Unhō̃ kō apnā hī ghamaṇḍ hai . 106Bahut karkē hai hī garībō̃ key|kī takdīr mē̃ .

107Generally, this is said to be in the fortune of the poor.

107Kōī kahtē haĩ itnā ūñch bāp hai , unkō tō kōī baṛē rājā athavā pavitra r̥iṣhi ādi K|kē tan mē̃ ānā chāhiē .

108Some say: The Father is so high that He should enter the body of a great king or a pure rishi.

108Pavitra hōtē hī haĩ sannyāsī .

109Only the sannyasis are pure.

109Pavitra kanyā K|kē tan mē̃ āyē .

110He could also enter the body of a pure kumari.

110Bāp baiṭh samjhātē haĩ maĩ kismē̃ ātā hū̃ .

111The Father sits here and explains whom He enters.

111Maĩ ātā hī usmē̃ hū̃ jō pūrē 84 janma lētē haĩ .

112I enter the one who takes the full 84 births.

112Ēk din bhī cum|kam nahī̃ .

113There cannot be even one day less.

113Kr̥iṣhṇa paidā huā us samay sē 16 kalā sampūrṇ ṭhaharā|ṭhahrā .

114On the day Krishna is born, he is 16 celestial degrees full.

114Phir satō , rajō , tamō mē̃ ātē haĩ .

115Then he goes through the stages of sato, rajo and tamo.

115Her|har chīz pahlē satōpradhān phir satō , rajō , tamō mē̃ ātī hai .

116Everything is at first satopradhan and it then becomes sato, rajo and tamo.

116Satyug mē̃ bhī aisā hōtā hai .

117It is the same in the golden age.

117Bachchā satōpradhān hai phir baṛā hōgā tō kahēgā ab ham yah śharīr chhōṛ satōpradhān bachchā bantā hū̃ .

118A child is satopradhan at first and then, when he grows old, he says that he is now going to leave that body and become a satopradhan child.

118Tum bachchō̃ kō itnā naśhā nahī̃ hai . 119Khuśhī kā pārā nahī̃ chaṛhtā hai .

119You children don't have that much intoxication; the mercury of happiness just doesn't rise.

120Jō achchhī mēhnat kartē haĩ , khuśhī kā pārā chaṛhtā rahtā hai .

120The mercury of happiness of those who make good efforts continues to rise.

121Śhakla bhī khuśhnumaḥ rahtī hai .

121Their faces remain very happy and cheerful.

122Āgē chal tumkō sākṣhātkār hōtē rahē̃gē .

122As you progress further, you will continue to have visions.

123Jaisē ghar K|kē nazdīk ākar pahũchtē haĩ tō phir vah gharbār makān ādi yād ātā hai nā .

123As you come closer to your home, you remember your home, family and buildings etc.

124Yah bhī aisē hai .

124It is the same here.

125Purūṣhārth kartē-kartē tumhārī prālabdh jab nazdīk hōgī tō phir bahut sākṣhātkār hōtē rahē̃gē . 126Khuśhī mē̃ rahē̃gē .

125While making effort, as your reward comes closer, you will continue to have many visions; you will remain happy.

127Jō nā-pass hōtē haĩ tō śharm K|kē mārē ḍūb martē haĩ .

126Those who fail drown themselves because of being ashamed.

128Tumkō bhī bābā batā dētē haĩ phir bahut pachhtānā paṛēgā .

127Baba will also tell you everything and you will then have to repent a great deal.

129Apnē bhaviṣhya kā sākṣhātkār karē̃gē , ham kyā banē̃gē  ?

128You will have visions of your future and what you are to become.

130Bābā dikhlāyēṅgē yah-yah vikarma ādi kiyē haĩ . 131Pūrā paṛhē nahī̃ , traitor banē̃ , isliē yah sazā miltī hai .

129Baba will show you the bad actions you performed: You didn't study fully and became a traitor and, therefore, this is your punishment.

132Sab sākṣhātkār hōgā .

130You will have visions of everything.

133Bigar sākṣhātkār sazā kaisē dēgē  ?

131How could He give punishment without giving visions?

134Court mē̃ bhī batātē haĩ - tumnē yah-yah kiyā hai , uskī sazā hai .

132In a court too, they tell you what you did and what your punishment is going to be for that.

135Jab tak karmātīt avasthā hō jāē tab tak kuchh na kuchh niśhānī rahēgī .

133Until you reach the karmateet stage, one sign or another will remain.

136Ātmā pavitra hō jātī hai phir tō śharīr chhōṛnā paṛē . 137Yahā̃ rah na sakē̃ .

134When you souls become pure, you will have to shed your bodies; you can no longer stay here.

138Vah avasthā tumkō dhāraṇ karnī hai .

135You have to reach that stage.

139Abhī tum vāpis jāē phir naī duniyā mē̃ ānē kē liē taiyārī kartē hō .

136You are now making preparations to return home and then come into the new world.

140Tumhārā purūṣhārth hī yah hai ki ham jaldī-jaldī jāyē̃ , phir jaldī-jaldī āyē̃ .

137Your efforts are to go home quickly and then come down here quickly.

141Jaisē bachchō̃ kō khēl mē̃ dauṛātē haĩ nā .

138Children are made to race.

142Niśhān tak jākar phir lauṭ ānā hai .

139They are told to touch their goal and come back.

143Tumkō bhī jaldī-jaldī jānā hai , phir pahlē number mē̃ naī duniyā mē̃ ānā hai .

140You too have to go there quickly and then go into the new world in the first number.

144Tō tumhārī race hai yah .

141So, this is your race.

145School mē̃ bhī race karātē haĩ nā .

142They have races at schools.

146Tumhārā hai yah pravr̥itti mārg .

143This is your family path.

147Tumhārā pahlē-pahlē pavitra gr̥ihastha dharm thā .

144At first you had a pure household religion.

148Abhī hai vicious phir viceless world banēgā .

145Now, the world is vicious and it will then become viceless.

149In bātō̃ kō tum simraṇ kartē rahō tō bhī bahut khuśhī rahēgī .

146If you continue to churn these things you will remain very happy.

150Ham hī rājya lētē haĩ phir ganvātē haĩ .

147We claim the kingdom and then we lose it.

151Hero-heroine kahtē haĩ nā .

148People speak of the hero and heroine.

152Hīrē jaisā janm lēkar phir kauṛī jaisē janm mē̃ ātē haĩ .

149You take a birth as valuable as a diamond and then you go into a birth that is like a shell.

153Abhī bāp kahtē haĩ - tum kauṛiyō̃ pichhāṛī time west|waste mat karō .

150Now the Father says: Don't waste your time chasing after shells.

154Yah kahtē haĩ ham bhī time west|waste kartē thē .

151This one says: I too used to waste my time.

155Tō hamkō bhī kahā ab tō tum mērā bankar yah rūhānī dhandhā karō .

152He also told me: Now belong to Me and do this spiritual business.

156Tō jhaṭ sab kuchh chhōṛ diyā .

153So, I instantly left everything.

157Paisē kōī phēṅk tō nahī̃ dēgē .

154No one would throw money away. 155Money is useful.

158Paisē tō kām mē̃ ātē haĩ .

156You can't get buildings etc. without money.

188Are you remembering the Father?

194Tō khud kā bhī attention rahēgā .

205Only when you stay in remembrance yourself can you inspire others to sit in remembrance. 206I am a soul and I am going home.

212Phir ākar rājya karē̃gē .

207Then I will come and rule here.

213Apnē kō śharīr samajhanā-yah bhī ēk kaṛī bīmārī hai isliē hī sab rasātal mē̃ chalē gayē haĩ .

208To consider yourself to be a body is a severe disease. 209This is why everyone is now in the depths of hell.
