Essence

1 «  mīṭhē bachchē - is purānī duniyā mē̃ aur kōī bhī āśh na rakh bhaviṣhya ūñch pad pānē kē liē sirph naṣhṭōmōhā banō , bāp kō yād karō aur pavitra rahō ' '

1Essence: Sweet children, in order to claim a high status in the future, have no desires in this old world but simply become a conqueror of attachment. 2Remember the Father and remain pure.

Question

2Praśhna  : bāp kaun sā sīdhā saral rāstā batātē haĩ , kis bāt sē bāp kā tailuk nahī̃  ?

3Question: What direct and easy path does the Father show you? 4What does the Father have nothing to do with?

Answer

3Uttar  : bāp bachchō̃ kō śhāntidhām , sukhdhām chalnē kā sīdhā-sādā rāstā batātē - bachchē sirph bāp kō yād karō aur pavitra rahō . 4Bākī tumhārē sāmnē kōī vipadā ātī , duḥkh vā bīmārī ātī , dēvālā mārtē … yah sab tumhārē apnē hī karmō kā hisāb hai , insē bāp kā kōī tailuk nahī̃ .

5Answer: The Father shows you children an easy and direct path to the land of peace and the land of happiness: Children, simply remember the Father and remain pure. 6However, if you have to face obstacles, if sorrow or illness comes to you, if you become bankrupt, all of those are your own karmic accounts and the Father has nothing do to with them.

5Bāp yuktiyā̃ batātē haĩ , karmbandhan sē chhūṭnā harēk bachchē kā kām hai .

7The Father shows you methods to use, but it is the duty of each child to become free from his karmic bondages.

Question

6Praśhna  : kōī-kōī bachchē kis ēk kāraṇ sē service lāyak nahī̃ bantē  ?

8Question: Due to what reason do some children not become worthy of serving?

7Uttar  : familiarity kā halkā naśhā hai , māyā kā andar kīṛā lagā hai - is kāraṇ service lāyak nahī̃ ban saktē . 8Gīt  : lauṭ gayā gam kā jamānā . . .

9Answer: When there is a slight intoxication of familiarity between children or when there are insects of Maya inside them, they don't become worthy of serving. 10Song: The world of sorrow has gone away.

9Ōm śhānti .

11Om shanti.

10Khuśhī aur gam . 11Abhī tō hai rāvaṇrājya .

12Happiness and sorrow; it is now the kingdom of Ravan.

12Manuṣhya tō jāntē nahī̃ ki rāvaṇ rājya kiskō kahā jātā hai .

13People don't know what the kingdom of Ravan is.

13Bāp ākar bachchō̃ kō samjhātē haĩ ki gam kab hōtā hai aur khuśhī kab hōtī hai .

14The Father comes and explains to you children about when there is sorrow and when there is happiness.

14Is rāvaṇ rājya mē̃ gam bhī hai tō khuśhī bhī hai .

15In this kingdom of Ravan, there is happiness as well as sorrow.

15Abhī-abhī khuśhī , abhī-abhī gam . 16Bachchā janamā tō khuśhī , mar gayā tō gam .

16One moment, there is happiness and the next moment, there is sorrow.

17Sannyāsī bhī kahtē haĩ - yahā̃ kā sukh kāg viṣhṭā K|kē samān hai .

17When a child is born, there is happiness but if he dies, there is sorrow.

18Tō jarūr kahē̃gē yah gam key|kī duniyā hai .

18Sannyasis say that happiness here is like the droppings of a crow.

19Parantu unhō̃ kō yah patā hī nahī̃ ki sadā sukh , jahā̃ gam kā nām niśhān bhī na hō , vah hōtā hī hai satyug mē̃ . 20Yah tum bachchē abhī jāntē hō ki barōbar abhī rāt hai .

19Therefore, it would surely be said that this is a world of sorrow. 20However, people don't know that it is only in the golden age that there is constant happiness and no trace of sorrow.

21Rāt duḥkh key|kī hōtī hai , iskō rāvaṇ key|kī rāt kahā jātā hai .

21You children understand at this time that it truly is night time now.

22Rāvaṇ K|kē ānē sē bhakti ārambh hōtī hai .

22The night is one of sorrow: it is called the night of Ravan.

23Vikār ārambh hō jātē haĩ .

23When Ravan comes, devotion begins and vices also begin.

24Abhī tum bachchē samajhtē hō ki ham sadā khuśhī mē̃ rahnē kā abhī puruṣhārth kar rahē haĩ .

24You children understand that you are now making effort to remain in constant happiness.

25Bāp samjhā rahē haĩ ki bachchē bhaviṣhya ūñch pad pānē kā puruṣhārth karō aur kōī bhī āśh nahī̃ rakhnī hai .

25The Father explains to you: Children, make effort to claim a high status in the future. 26Don't have any other desires.

26Bachchō̃ kō tō yah patā hī nahī̃ hai ki bēhad K|kē bāp sē kyā miltā hai .

27You children don’t know what you receive from the unlimited Father.

27Bāp hī ākar batātē haĩ .

28The Father Himself comes and tells you.

28Duniyā yah nahī̃ jāntī ki paramātmā sē kyā miltā hai .

29The world doesn't know what they receive from God.

29Samajhtē haĩ duḥkh-sukh vahī dētā hai .

30They believe that He gives happiness and sorrow.

30Bāp kahtē haĩ maĩ tō sadā sukh dēnē ātā hū̃ .

31The Father says: I come to give you constant happiness.

31Tum sirph śhrīmat par chalō .

32Simply follow shrimat!

32Maĩ tō tumkō śhāntidhām aur sukhdhām kā rāstā batānē āyā hū̃ .

33I have come to show you the path to the land of peace and the land of happiness.

33Us rāstē par chalnā tō tumhārā kām hai aur kyā jhañjhaṭ sāmnē ātā hai  ?

34It is your duty to follow that path. 35What other difficulties come in front of you?

34Jhañjhaṭō̃ mē̃ tō sārī duniyā hai .

36The whole world is in difficulty.

35Bāp kahtē haĩ maĩ tō sīdhā-sādā rāstā batātā hū̃ .

37The Father says: I show you a direct and straightforward path.

36Vah tō bahut sahaj hai .

38It is very easy.

37Bākī jō vipadāyē̃ jhañjhaṭ ātē haĩ , duḥkh ātā hai , bīmārī ādi hōtī hai , dēvālā mārtē haĩ . . yah sab hai tumhārē karmō kā hisāb .

39However, when all the obstacles come, when there is sorrow, when someone falls ill or someone becomes bankrupt, all of those are their own karmic accounts.

38Sō har ēk kō bhōgnā hī hai , insē hamārā kōī tailuk nahī̃ hai .

40Each one has to suffer for those. 41I have nothing to do with those.

39Is samay bhī kōī aisā pāp kartē haĩ tō duḥkh bhōgnā paṛtā hai .

42If someone commits a sin at this time, he still has to suffer the consequences of that.

40Maĩ tō tumkō rāstā batānē āyā hū̃ .

43I have come to show you the path.

41Mērā pharmān hai mujh bāp kō yād karō kyōṅki vāpas jānā hai .

44My order is: Remember Me, your Father, because you have to return home.

42Bākī laṛāī-jhagṛē mē̃ tō sārī āyu ganvāī .

45You have wasted your whole life battling and quarrelling.

43Maĩ tō sīdhā rāstā batātā hū̃ ki mujhē yād karō aur pavitra rahō .

46I show you a straightforward path: Remember Me and remain pure.

44Kaisē rahō , yah bhī yuktiyā̃ batātē haĩ .

47I also tell you how to remain like that.

45Bākī māthā mārnā puruṣhārth karnā tō tumhārā kām hai .

48It is your duty to beat your head and make effort.

46Yah sab karmbandhan tum bachchō̃ kā hai .

49All of those are the karmic bondages of you children.

47Bāp kahtē haĩ gr̥ihastha vyavahār mē̃ rah pavitra rahnā hai .

50The Father says: While living at home with your family, remain pure.

48Bāp jāntē haĩ strī kā pati mē̃ , bachchō̃ mē̃ mōh bahut rahtā hai , unsē chhuṭkārā pānā , naṣhṭōmōhā bannā . . . yah tō bachchō̃ kā kām hai .

51The Father knows that a wife has a lot of attachment to her husband and children. 52It is the duty of you children to become free from that and become conquerors of attachment.

49Bāp tō sirph dō bātē̃ kahtē haĩ - agar pūrā varsā lēnā hai tō ēk pavitra jarūr bannā hai aur dūsrā yōg mē̃ rahnā hai .

53The Father simply tells you two things: If you want to claim your full inheritance, definitely become pure and, secondly, you have to stay in yoga.

50Kōī bāt mē̃ tumsē agar kōī laṛtē haĩ tō yah huā tumhārā karmō kā hisāb-kitāb .

54If someone quarrels with you about anything, that is your karmic account.

51Bākī tum pavitra rahō uskē liē government bhī rōk nahī̃ saktī .

55However, when you remain pure, even the Government cannot stop you from doing this.

52Bāp tō rāstā batātē haĩ ki tumkō gharbār nahī̃ chhōṛnā hai .

56The Father shows you the path where you don't have to leave your home.

53Gr̥ihastha vyavahār mē̃ rahtē pavitra rahnā hai aur yōg mē̃ rahnā hai .

57You have to remain pure while living at home with your families and also stay in yoga.

54Manuṣhya samajhtē haĩ pavitra rahnā baṛā muśhkil hai kyōṅki aisī śhikṣhā kisī nē kabhī nahī̃ dī hai .

58Because no one else has given such teachings, people think that it is very difficult to remain pure.

55Bhal kitnē bhī brahmchārī rahtē haĩ parantu yahā̃ tō kāydā hai gr̥ihastha vyavahār mē̃ rahkar pavitra rahnā hai .

59No matter how many people remain celibate, the law here is to remain pure while living at home with your families.

56Kumārī tō pavitra hī hai , uskē liē tō bahut sahaj hai , pavitra hī rahō .

60Kumaris are pure anyway. 61It is very easy for them.

57Gr̥ihastha mē̃ na jāō .

62Simply remain pure.

58Ismē̃ sirph himmat chāhiē .

63Don't get involved in a household.

59Tum kah saktī hō ki ham bhārat kō svarg banānē kē liē pavitra rahnā chāhtē haĩ , ismē̃ bhārat kā hī kalyāṇ hai .

64You simply need courage for this. 65You can say that you want to remain pure in order to make Bharat into heaven and that Bharat will benefit through this.

60Pavitratā kā varsā hamkō mil jāyēgā .

66“I will receive an inheritance of purity.”

61Yah hai varsā lēnē key|kī bāt .

67This is a matter of claiming an inheritance.

62Satyug mē̃ thī hī pavitra duniyā .

68In the golden age, there was the pure world.

63Saṅgam par jō pavitra bantē haĩ vahī pavitra duniyā K|kē mālik banē̃gē .

69Those who become pure at the confluence age become the masters of the pure world.

64Ismē̃ sārī duniyā kā tō praśhna nahī̃ hai ki sab kaisē pavitra banē̃gē .

70It is not a question of how everyone in the whole world can remain pure.

65Abhī sabkī kayāmat kā samay hai .

71It is now the time of settlement for everyone.

66Ab sabhī kō hisāb-kitāb chuktū kar vāpis jānā hai .

72Everyone now has to settle their karmic accounts and return home.

67Sab tō ākar gyān lē̃gē nahī̃ .

73Not everyone will come and take knowledge.

68Jō sahaj rājyōg sīkhē̃gē vah varsā pāyēṅgē .

74Those who study easy Raja Yoga will claim their inheritance.

69Sārī duniyā tō kyā sārā bhārat bhī yah gyān sun dhāraṇ nahī̃ kar saktā hai .

75Let alone the whole world, not even the whole of Bharat is able to listen to this knowledge and imbibe it.

70Bākī kōī jhagaṛā hai vah tō tum bachchō̃ kō miṭānā hai yōgbal sē .

76If there are quarrels, you children have to end them with the power of yoga.

71Mār unhē̃ khānī paṛtī hai jinhō̃ kā kuchh mamatva hai , naṣhṭōmōhā nahī̃ banē haĩ , vah tākat nahī̃ hai .

77Those who have some attachment, who haven't become conquerors of attachment and don't have that strength, have to suffer being beaten.

72Bābā kē pās samāchār āyā ki ēk gōpikā nē bahut āṅsū bahāyē .

78Baba received news that a gopika shed a lot of tears.

73Parantu rōnē sē kyā hōgā  ?

79However, what can be achieved by crying?

74Bāp nē yuktiyā̃ tō bahut batāī hai .

80The Father has shown you many methods.

75Pati kō bōlō ham pavitra rahnē chāhtī haĩ aur bākī sab service karnē kē liē taiyār haĩ .

81Tell your husband that you want to remain pure and that you are willing to do any other type of work.

76Yukti sē apnē kō chhuṛā saktī haĩ .

82You can free yourself tactfully.

77Parantu pahlē apnī dil kā mamatva ṭūṭnā chāhiē .

83However, first, the attachment in your heart has to be broken.

78Mātāō̃ kā pati aur bachchō̃ mē̃ bahut mōh hōtā hai .

84Women have a lot of attachment to their husbands and children.

79Phir kahtī hai kōī chhuṛāvē .

85Then, they say that someone should liberate them!

80Parantu ismē̃ chillānē vā rōnē key|kī kōī darkār nahī̃ .

86However, there is no question of shouting or crying out loud.

81Yah samajh key|kī bāt hai .

87This is a matter of understanding.

82Samjhō kōī achchhē ādmī key|kī strī hai , bachchē bhī first class haĩ , bābā tō kahē̃gē gr̥ihastha vyavahār mē̃ rahkar pavitra rahkar dikhāō , is antim janm kē liē .

88For instance, there may be the wife of a good person who also has first-class children. 89Baba would tell her to live at home with her family and show that it is possible to remain pure, just for this final birth.

83Tō pati kō samjhākar vaśh karnā paṛē .

90Therefore, she has to explain to her husband and be able to handle him.

84Nahī̃ tō javāb dēnā paṛē . 85Parantu jab naṣhṭōmōhā ban sakē tab .

91She has to give him a response, but she first has to be able to become a conqueror of attachment.

86Kōī chāhē tō ēk second mē̃ naṣhṭōmōhā hō jāē , nahī̃ tō jīvan bhar bhī na hō sakē .

92If someone wants to, she can become a conqueror of attachment in a second. 93Otherwise, it won't be possible throughout her whole life.

87Bahutō̃ kō chhōṛnē bād bhī mamatva nahī̃ miṭtā phir rag jātī rahtī hai , tō vah avasthā nahī̃ rahtī , isliē bāp kahtē haĩ pahlē naṣhṭōmōhā hō jāō .

94Many people are unable to let go of their attachment even after they have left them, and so those strings are pulled and they are unable to maintain that stage. 95This is why the Father says: First of all, become a conqueror of attachment.

88Bākī sirph karm kūṭtē rahē̃gē tō bāp kyā karē̃gē  ?

96If you simply continue to repent for your actions, what would the Father do?

89Sabkē liē rāstā ēk hī hai pavitra jarūr bannā hai .

97There is just the one path for everyone: Definitely become pure!

90Agar pavitra nahī̃ rahnē dētē tō apnē pāṅw par khaṛī hō kōī na kōī service mē̃ lag jāō .

98If they don’t allow you to remain pure, then become independent and occupy yourself in one type of work or another.

91Yahā̃ tō sāph dil chāhiē .

99A clean heart is needed here.

92Aisē nahī̃ , ghar chhōṛkar āyē phir brāhmaṇ kul mē̃ rah kōī na kōī sē familiarity mē̃ phansī rahē .

100Let it not be that you leave your home and come here and then stay trapped in familiarity with someone in the Brahmin clan.

93Aisē bhī bahut haĩ jinkō familiarity kā halkā naśhā rahtā hai .

101There are many who have a slight influence of familiarity.

94Unhō̃ key|kī avasthā nahī̃ chaṛhtī .

102They are not able to raise their stage.

95Service lāyak nahī̃ bantē kyōṅki andar kīṛā lagā huā hai .

103They are unable to become worthy of doing service because there are insects inside them.

96Māyā chhōṛtī nahī̃ hai .

104Maya doesn’t leave them alone.

97Likhtē haĩ bābā bahut māyā K|kē tūphān lagtē haĩ .

105Some write: Baba, many storms of Maya come.

98Tō jarūr halkā naśhā ātā hōgā .

106Therefore, there must definitely be some slight influence.

99Yahā̃ kamal fool|phūl samān rahnā hai .

107Here, you have to remain like a lotus.

100Murjhānē key|kī bāt nahī̃ .

108There is no question of wilting.

101Sabkō apnā-apnā karmbandhan hai , tō davāī bhī apnī-apnī hai .

109Everyone has his or her karmic bondages and own cure.

102Kōī kamāī liē pūchhtē haĩ tō bābā unkā pōtāmēl dēkh rāy dētē haĩ .

110When someone asks about his earnings, Baba looks at his accounts and gives him advice.

103Kaī haĩ jinkā dhandhā aisā hai ki pāp karnē bigar śharīr nirvāh chal nahī̃ saktā .

111Some have such a business that they’re unable to earn their livelihood without committing sin.

104Ājkal samay hī aisā hō gayā hai .

112Such are the times nowadays!

105Kōī pās|pass bahut paisē haĩ tō pāp karnē key|kī darkār nahī̃ hai .

113Some have a lot of money and so there is no need for them to commit sin.

106Bābā kahtē haĩ śhānt mē̃ baiṭh yōg key|kī kamāī karō parantu kām karnē sē pahlē rāy lēnī hōtī hai .

114Baba says: Sit peacefully and earn the income through yoga. 115However, before you do anything, you must take advice.

107Aisē nahī̃ kām karnē kē bād bōlē is bāt mē̃ phans gayā hū̃ - kyā karũ  ?

116Let it not be that after you have done something you then say: I have become trapped in this, so what should I do now?

108Bābā samjhātē rahtē haĩ , agar dhan bahut hai tō śhānt mē̃ baiṭh bābā sē varsā lō|low , dhandhēdhōrī kā jhañjhaṭ chhōṛō .

117Baba continues to explain to you: If you have plenty of money, then sit down peacefully and claim your inheritance from Baba. 118Put aside the complications of business.

109Kadam-kadam par śhrīmat par chalnā jarūrī hai .

119It is essential to follow shrimat at every step.

110Āpas mē̃ bahut mīṭhā rahnā hai .

120Remain very sweet with one another.

111Nahī̃ tō bāpdādā kā nām badnām karē̃gē .

121Otherwise, you will defame BapDada's name.

112Bāpdādā vā satgurū key|kī nindā karānē vālā ūñch ṭhaur nahī̃ pāyēgā .

122Those who defame BapDada's name or the name of the Satguru cannot claim a high status.

113Apnē hāth mē̃ law nahī̃ uṭhānā chāhiē .

123Don't take the law into your own hands.

114Nahī̃ tō sab kahē̃gē īśhvarīy kul K|kē bhī aisē bachchē hōtē haĩ kyā  ?

124Otherwise, everyone would say: Are the children of God’s clan also like this?

115Bāp kahtē haĩ kiskō duḥkh mat dō .

125The Father says: Don't cause anyone sorrow.

116Savērē uṭh bābā kō yād karō . 117Bābā āp kitnē mīṭhē hō , āp hamkō rājāō̃ kā rājā svarg kā mālik banātē hō .

126Wake up early in the morning and remember Baba: Baba, You are so sweet! 127You are making us into the kings of kings, the masters of heaven.

118Ham āpkī śhrīmat par jarūr chalē̃gē .

128We will definitely follow your shrimat.

119Ham āsurī mat par nahī̃ chalē̃gē .

129We will not follow devilish directions.

120Bāp kō yād nahī̃ kartē haĩ tō bāp samajh jātē haĩ inkē ajun purānē āsurī saṅskār haĩ . 121Yah kyā svarg kā rājya bhāgya lē̃gē .

130If you don't remember the Father, He would understand that you still have your old devilish sanskars, and so how could you claim your fortune of the kingdom?

122Apnī chalan tō dēkhō .

131Look at your behaviour!

123Nahī̃ tō tum bachchō̃ jaisā takdīrvān duniyā bhar mē̃ kōī nahī̃ .

132Otherwise, there is no one in the whole world as fortunate as you.

124Bāp tō kahē̃gē - sagē bachchē banō .

133The Father says: Become real children.

125Aisī chalan dikhāō jō bāp bhī khuśh hō .

134Let your behaviour be such that even the Father is pleased with you.

126Bāp kō bachchō̃ kā bahut khyāl rahtā hai ki kaisē bachchō̃ kō duḥkh sē chhuṛāē ūñch pad prāpt karāyē̃ .

135The Father is very concerned about how to liberate children from sorrow and enable them to claim a high status.

127Bābā samjhātē haĩ din mē̃ bhal gōrakhdhandhā karō parantu brahm-mahūrt mē̃ uṭh bābā sē mīṭhī-mīṭhī bātē̃ karnī chāhiē . 128Bābā āpnē tō kamāl kiyā hai  !

136Baba explains that you may do your mundane business throughout the day, but wake up at the time of brahm muhurat (amrit vela) and have a sweet conversation with Baba: Baba, You have worked wonders!

12921 janmō̃ kē liē svarg kī bādśhāhī tō āp dētē hō  !

137You are giving me the sovereignty of heaven for 21 births.

130Ham tō āp par balihār jāū̃ .

138I will surrender myself to You.

131Tō balihār jānā hai , sirph kahnā nahī̃ hai .

139Then surrender yourself! 140Don't just say it!

132Jitnā samay yād mē̃ rahē̃gē uskā asar sārā din chalēgā .

141For however long you stay in remembrance, the effect of that will last throughout the day.

133Bahut be|B . K|kē . haĩ jō subah kō uṭhtē nahī̃ haĩ , tō dhārṇā bhī nahī̃ hōtī hai .

142There are many BKs who don't wake up in the morning, and so they are unable to imbibe.

134Savērē jāgnē key|kī ādat paṛ jāē phir dēkhō kaisē serviceable ban jātē haĩ .

143If you instil the habit of waking up early in the morning you would see how serviceable you can become.

135Jiskō service kā śhauk hai vah kahā̃ bhī service karēgā .

144Those who are interested in serving will do service anywhere.

136Gālī tō milēgī .

145Of course, you may be insulted.

137Sau mē̃ sē ēk nikalēgā .

146One out of a hundred will emerge.

138Ismē̃ lajjā nahī̃ hōnī chāhiē .

147You mustn't feel embarrassed about this.

139Service tō jahā̃ tahā̃ hai , sirph karnē vālā hō .

148There is service to be done everywhere, but there simply has to be someone who does it.
