Essence
1 « mīṭhē bachchē - apnī sthiti sākṣhī tathā harṣhit rakhnē kē liē smr̥iti mē̃ rahē ki her|har ātmā kā apnā-apnā part hai , banī banāī ban rahī ' '
1Essence: Sweet children, in order to make your stage that of a cheerful and detached observer remain aware that each soul has his own part to play and that that which is predestined is taking place.
Question
2Praśhna : tum bachchē kis ēk puruṣhārth dvārā apnī avasthā jamā saktē hō ?
2Question: By making which one effort can you children create your stage?
Answer
3Uttar : māyā K|kē tūphānō̃ kō don't care karō aur bāp jō śhrīmat dētē haĩ usē kabhī bhī don't care na karō , issē tumhārī avasthā achal-aḍōl hō jāyēgī , sthiti sadā sākṣhī aur harṣhit rahēgī .
3Answer: Don't care about your storms of Maya but never have a “don't care” attitude about the shrimat that the Father gives you. 4By not doing that, your stage will become unshakeable and immovable and it will also be that of a cheerful and detached observer.
4Tumhārī avasthā aisī hōnī chāhiē jō kabhī bhī rōnā na āyē .
5Your stage should be such that you never have to cry.
5Ammā marē tō bhī haluā khānā . . . . . .
6Even if your mother dies, eat halva!
Song
6Gīt : tumhī̃ hō mātā , pitā tumhī̃ hō …
7Song: You are the Mother and the Father.
Murli
7Ōm śhānti .
8Om shanti.
8Bachchō̃ nē gīt sunā .
9You children heard the song.
9Aksar karkē bhakti mārg vālē mandirō̃ mē̃ jātē haĩ , chāhē śhiv K|kē , chāhē lakṣhmī-nārāyaṇ K|kē , chāhē rādhē-kr̥iṣhṇa K|kē yā anya dēvī-dēvatāō̃ K|kē mandirō̃ mē̃ jāyēṅgē .
10Generally, people on the path of devotion go to the temples of Shiva, Lakshmi and Narayan, Radhe and Krishna or any of the other gods and goddesses. 11They sing the same praise in front of all of them: You are the Mother and the Father.
10Sabkē āgē yahī mahimā karē̃gē - tvamēv mātā-cha-pitā … phir kahtē haĩ - tvamēv vidyā draviṇam . . . . . . mānā tum māt-pitā bhī hō , paṛhānē vālē bhī hō .
12Then they say: You are the One who gives knowledge, which means: You are the Mother and the Father and You are also the One who teaches us.
11Vāstav mē̃ lakṣhmī-nārāyaṇ vā rām-sītā kō tvamēv mātā-cha-pitā nahī̃ kahē̃gē kyōṅki unhō̃ kō tō apnē hī bachchē hōṅgē . 12Vah aisī mahimā nahī̃ gāyēṅgē .
13In fact, you cannot say, "You are the Mother and the Father" to Lakshmi and Narayan or to Rama and Sita because they would have their own children who would not sing such praise.
13Vāstav mē̃ mahimā ēk śhiv kī hai .
14In fact, praise is of the one Shiva.
14Vah mahimā gātē haĩ dēv-dēv mahādēv . 15Mānā tum brahmā , viṣhṇu , śhaṅkar sē bhī ūñch hō .
15Those people sing the praise, “Dev, Dev, Mahadev”, which means “You are greater than Brahma, Vishnu and Shankar.”
16Bhakti mārg mē̃ tō kōī arth|earth samajh na sakē .
16They are unable to understand the meaning of anything on the path of devotion.
17Ab bāp kahtē haĩ tumnē bhakti bahut kī hai , ab tum mērē sē samjhō aur is par gaur karō ki sach kyā hai , jhūṭh kyā hai ?
17The Father now says: You have performed a lot of devotion. 18Now understand what I say and think about what is true and what is false.
18Tum bachchē ab samajhtē hō - bāp kē bārē mē̃ aur dēvtāō̃ kē bārē mē̃ jō bhī mahimā kartē haĩ vah sārī wrong hai .
19You children now understand that the praise that is sung of the Father and the deities is all wrong.
19Abhī jō tumkō maĩ samjhātā hū̃ vahī right hai .
20Only that which I explain to you now is right.
20Bachchō̃ kō samjhātē haĩ yah ulṭā vr̥ikṣha hai , iskā bīj hai parampitā paramātmā .
21He explains to you children: This is an inverted tree and its Seed is the Supreme Father, the Supreme Soul.
21Vah ūpar mē̃ rahtē haĩ .
22He lives up above.
22Vah tō chaitanya bīj hai nā . 23Tum ṭhaharē bachchē .
23He is the Living Seed, whereas you are the children.
24Kaī kahtē haĩ ki sab bīj ādi mē̃ bhī ātmā hai .
24Some people say that there is a soul in all seeds.
25Lēkin vah tō jaṛ hai nā .
25However, those are non-living.
26Bāp kō kahā hī jātā hai manuṣhya sr̥iṣhṭi kā chaitanya bījrūp .
26The Father is called the Living Seed of the human world tree.
27Ab manuṣhya gātē haĩ - ō god father .
27People sing: O God, the Father!
28Achchhā , jhāṛ kō tum chaitanya gyān sāgar nahī̃ kahē̃gē .
28Achcha, you would not call a tree, a Living Ocean of Knowledge.
29Manuṣhya mē̃ yah gyān hai ki yah bīj hai .
29People understand that that is a seed.
30Bīj mē̃ jarūr jhāṛ kā gyān hōnā chāhiē .
30A seed should definitely have knowledge of the tree.
31Parantu jaṛ hōnē K|kē kāraṇ batā nahī̃ saktē .
31However, because it is non-living, it cannot say anything.
32Manuṣhya tō samajh jātē haĩ ki bīj nīchē hai , unsē jhāṛ nikalā huā hai .
32Human beings understand that the seed is down below and that the tree emerges from it.
33Kalpa vr̥ikṣha aur banyan tree key|kī bhēṇṭ kartē haĩ .
33The kalpa tree is compared to the banyan tree.
34Vah jaṛ hai , yah chaitanya hai .
34That (kalpa tree) is living and this is non-living.
35Kalkattē mē̃ baṛ kā bahut baṛā jhāṛ hai .
35There is a very big banyan tree in Calcutta.
36Unkā thur sārā nikal gayā hai , sirph jhāṛ khaṛā hai .
36Its foundation has decayed but the tree is still standing.
37Foundation hai nahī̃ , wonder hai nā .
37The wonder is that it doesn't have a foundation.
38Bāp samjhātē haĩ is jhāṛ kā bhī foundation hai nahī̃ .
38The Father explains: This tree doesn't have a foundation either.
39Dēvī-dēvtā dharm prāyaḥlōp hō gayā hai , bākī sārā jhāṛ khaṛā hai .
39The deity religion has disappeared but the rest of the tree exists.
40Kitnē maṭh-panth haĩ !
40There are so many sects and cults.
41Yah hai bēhad kā jhāṛ .
41This is an unlimited tree.
42Bēhad kā bāp baiṭh samjhātē haĩ .
42The unlimited Father sits here and explains.
43Bābā likhtē bhī haĩ śhivbābā kā birth day hīrē jaisā hai kyōṅki śhivbābā hī kauṛī sē hīrē jaisā banātē haĩ , svarg banātē haĩ .
43Baba writes that the birthday of Shiv Baba is like a diamond because Shiv Baba is the only One who changes us from shells into diamonds and creates heaven.
44Abhī tō bhārat kitnā kaṅgāl ban gayā hai .
44Bharat has now become so poverty-stricken.
45Manuṣhya ham sō , sō ham kahtē haĩ parantu samajhtē tō kuchh nahī̃ .
45People say, "Hum so, so hum", but they don't understand anything.
46Ham ātmā sō paramātmā , paramātmā sō ātmā - yah ḍhiṇḍhōrā sannyāsiyō̃ nē piṭvāyā hai .
46Sannyasis have been beating drums, saying "I, the soul, am the Supreme Soul and the Supreme Soul is the soul."
47Tum arth|earth sahit jāntē hō .
47You now know the meaning of everything.
48Ham sō brāhmaṇ banē haĩ phir ham sō dēvtā banē̃gē phir ham sō kṣhatriya . . . . . varṇa mē̃ āyēṅgē .
48We have become Brahmins, we will then become deities and then go through the castes of warriors, merchants etc.
49Ātmā kahtī hai ham in varṇō̃ mē̃ jāyēṅgē .
49The soul says: I will go through these castes.
50Ham śhūdra thē , abhī ham brāhmaṇ kul mē̃ āyē haĩ .
50I was a shudra and have now come into the Brahmin caste.
51Parampitā paramātmā hī sabkō rachnē vālā hai .
51The Supreme Father, the Supreme Soul, is the One who created everyone.
52Brahmā , viṣhṇu , śhaṅkar dēvtāō̃ kō bhī rachnē vālā vah hai .
52He is also the One who created the deities Brahma, Vishnu and Shankar.
53Abhī bāp baiṭh bachchō̃ kō samjhātē haĩ .
53The Father now sits here and explains to you children.
54Tum kahtē hō tvamēv mātā-cha-pitā . . . . tō mātā bhī yah barōbar hai .
54You say: You are the Mother and the Father. 55Therefore, this one is truly the mother.
55Bāp baiṭh bachchō̃ kō bahlātē haĩ .
56The Father sits here and entertains you children.
56Bhakti mārg mē̃ mīrā bhaktin thī .
57Meera was a devotee on the path of devotion.
57Vah hai bhakta mālā .
58That is the rosary of devotees.
58Gyān mālā bhī hai .
59There is also the rosary of knowledge.
59Gyān mālā kā nām hai rudra mālā .
60The name of the rosary of knowledge is the rosary of Rudra.
60Rāvaṇ mālā nahī̃ kahē̃gē .
61"The rosary of Ravan" wouldn’t be said.
61Rāvaṇ key|kī bhakti tō nahī̃ kartē .
62People don't perform devotion of Ravan.
62Rām mālā hai .
63There is the rosary of Rama.
63Bhal abhī rāvaṇ rājya hai parantu rāvaṇ key|kī mālā nahī̃ hōtī .
64Although it is now the kingdom of Ravan, there is no rosary of Ravan.
64Bhakta mālā hōtī hai , asurō̃ key|kī mālā tō nahī̃ hōtī .
65There is the rosary of devotees, but there cannot be a rosary of devils.
65Bhakta śhirōmaṇī mē̃ ēk tō mīrā hai unkō śhrīkr̥iṣhṇa kā sākṣhātkār hōtā thā .
66One of the highest devotees was Meera who had visions of Shri Krishna.
66Lōk lāj sārī khōī thī . 67Second number mē̃ śhirōmaṇī bhakta kaun hai ?
67She completely let go of the opinions of society. 68Who was the second highest devotee?
68Nārad .
69Narad.
69Hā̃ , unkā gāyan hai , dr̥iṣhṭānt diyā jātā hai .
70He is praised and his example is given.
70Yah tō sab bātē̃ baiṭh banāī haĩ . 71Real nahī̃ hai .
71People have sat and made up those stories, because they are not real.
72Bāp kahtē haĩ ki male-female sab sītāyē̃ haĩ .
72The Father says: All males and females are Sita.
73Sab rāvaṇ key|kī śhōkvāṭikā mē̃ hai .
73All of them are in Ravan’s cottage of sorrow.
74Laṅkā key|kī bāt nahī̃ , bhārat key|kī hī bāt hai .
74It is not a question of Lanka, but of Bharat.
75Ēk hī bāp sarv kā sadgati dātā hai .
75Only the one Father is the Bestower of Salvation for All.
76Vah ēk na hō tō bhārat kuchh kām kā nahī̃ hai .
76If that One didn't exist, Bharat would be of no use.
77Sabsē jāstī patit aur sabsē jāstī pāvan bhārat hī bantā hai .
77It is Bharat that becomes the most impure and the most pure.
78Bhārat hī sabsē baṛā tīrtha sthān hai .
78Bharat is the greatest pilgrimage place of all.
79Bhal apnē-apnē paigambarō̃ K|kē tīrthō̃ par jātē haĩ parantu sabkā sadgati dātā ēk bāp hai .
79Although people go to the pilgrimages places of their own prophets, the Bestower of Salvation for All is the one Father.
80Bhārat hī avināśhī khaṇḍ hai .
80Bharat alone is an imperishable land.
81Bāp kahtē haĩ maĩ yahā̃ ākar bhārat kō jīvanmukti dētā hū̃ , bākī sabkō mukti dētā hū̃ , sabkā sadgati dātā maĩ hū̃ .
81The Father says: I come here and give liberation-in-life to Bharat and liberation to all the rest. 82I am the Bestower of Salvation for All.
82Sachkhaṇḍ sthāpan karnē vālā bāp ēk hī hai .
83There is only the one Father who establishes the land of truth.
83Sachkhaṇḍ mē̃ rājya karnē kē liē bachchō̃ kō lāyak banātē haĩ , khud rājya nahī̃ kartē .
84He makes you children worthy of ruling in the land of truth, but He Himself doesn't rule.
84Bāp baiṭh samjhātē haĩ maĩ kalp-kalp ātā hū̃ bhārat kō sadgati dēnē .
85The Father sits here and explains: I come here every cycle to give Bharat salvation.
85Bākī sabkō gati mē̃ vāpas lē jātā hū̃ .
86I take all the rest back with Me to liberation.
86Har ēk manuṣhya mātra key|kī jō ātmā hai , har ēk mē̃ avināśhī part bharā huā hai .
87The soul of every human being has an imperishable part recorded in him.
87Iskō kahā jātā hai banī banāī ban rahī . . . . . samjhō , kiskā bāp mar gayā , usnē jākar dūsrā janma liyā , ab rōnē sē kyā hōgā ?
88This means that that which is predestined is taking place. 89For instance, when a person’s father has died and taken another birth, what would be achieved by that person crying?
88Sākṣhī hōkar dēkhnā hai . 89Yah drama hai , ismē̃ rōnē key|kī darkār nahī̃ hai .
90You just have to observe everything as a detached observer. 91It is in the drama, there is no need to cry.
90Gr̥ihastha vyavahār mē̃ tō rahnā hai .
92You have to live at home with your families.
91Ammā marē tō bhī haluā khāō , bībī marē tō bhī haluā khāō .
93If your mother dies, eat halva, or if your wife dies, eat halva.
92Yah unhō̃ kē liē hai jō gr̥ihastha vyavahār mē̃ rahtē haĩ .
94This is said for those who live at home with their families.
93Tumhārī avasthā aisī hōnī chāhiē jō kuchh bhī duḥkh na hō .
95Your stage should be such that you don't experience any sorrow.
94Bēhad K|kē bāp kō yād kartē rahnā hai .
96You have to continue to remember your unlimited Father.
95Itnī aḍōl avasthā hōnī chāhiē jaisē aṅgad kō rāvaṇ hilā nahī̃ sakā .
97Your stage should be as unshakeable as Angad’s when Ravan was unable to shake him. 98Maya is very powerful.
96Māyā hai baṛī jabardast .
99You have to remain stable.
97Tum sthēriyam rahtē hō . 98Māyā K|kē kitnē bhī tūphān lagē , don't care , ghabrānā nahī̃ hai , funk nahī̃ hōnā hai .
100No matter how many storms of Maya come, don't care about them. 101You mustn't be afraid or confused by them. 102Make effort and make your stage strong.
99Puruṣhārth karkē avasthā kō jamānā hai .
103Very good things are explained. 104You understand that you are Parvatis.
100Bātē̃ tō bahut achchhī samjhātē haĩ .
105Shiv Baba is telling you the story of immortality.
101Tum samajhtē hō ham pārvatiyā̃ haĩ , śhivbābā amarkathā sunātē haĩ .
106In the land of immortality, there is happiness from its beginning through the middle to its end.
102Amarlōk mē̃ hai ādi-madhy-ant sukh . 103Is mr̥ityulōk mē̃ tō ādi-madhy-ant duḥkh hī duḥkh hai .
107In this land of death, there is nothing but sorrow from its beginning through the middle to the end.
104Tyōhār ādi sab is samay K|kē haĩ .
108All of the festivals etc. refer to this time.
105Lakṣhmī-nārāyaṇ ādi kā kōī tyōhār nahī̃ .
109There are no festivals of Lakshmi and Narayan etc.
106Vah kyā service kartē haĩ .
110What service do they do?
107Tum brāhmaṇ bahut service kartē hō .
111You Brahmins do a lot of service.
108Dēvtāō̃ key|kī ātmā kō social worker nahī̃ kahē̃gē - na jismānī , na rūhānī .
112The souls of deities are not called social workers: they are neither physical nor spiritual social workers.
109Tum hō rūhānī-jismānī double social worker .
113You are double social workers: physical and spiritual.
110Achchhā , manuṣhyō̃ kō naṣhṭōmōhā bannē mē̃ mēhnat lagtī hai kyōṅki unkē pās|pass kōī aim object nahī̃ hai .
114OK, people find it difficult to become conquerors of attachment because they don't have any aim or objective.
111Yahā̃ tō tumkō prāpti bahut hai tō bahut naṣhṭōmōhā hōnā chāhiē nā .
115Here, you have a lot of attainment and so you should have totally destroyed your attachment. 116Have yoga with the one Baba.
112Ēk bābā kē sāth yōg lagānā hai - bābā , ō mīṭhē-mīṭhē bābā , āpkō hamnē pūrā jān liyā hai , āgē tō sirph kahnē mātra god father kahtē thē , abhī tō āp āyē hō phir sē svarg kī rājāī dēnē , yah kaliyug tō kabristān hōnē vālā hai isliē ham iskō kyō̃ yād karē̃ .
117Baba, o sweet Baba, we now know You fully! 118Previously, we used to say "God, the Father" just for the sake of saying it. 119You have now come here to give us the sovereignty of heaven once again. 120This iron age is going to become a graveyard, so why should we remember it?
113Bāp kahtē haĩ is kabristān mē̃ , gr̥ihastha vyavahār mē̃ rahtē mujhē yād karō .
121The Father says: While living at home with your families, in this graveyard, remember Me.
114Yah tō bahut sahaj hai .
122This is very easy.
115Jaisē bhakti mārg mē̃ manuṣhya śhrīkr̥iṣhṇa key|kī pūjā kartē rahtē haĩ , buddhi dhandhē dhōrī mē̃ bhāgtī rahtī hai .
123People on the path of devotion continue to worship Shri Krishna and their intellects continue to wander to their businesses etc.
116Man kā ghōṛā kahā̃ na kahā̃ bhāgtā rahēgā , tavāī K|kē muāphik .
124The horse of the mind constantly runs somewhere or other like a madman.
117Bāp kahtē haĩ ki śharīr nirvāh kartē buddhi kā yōg mērē sāth lagāō .
125The Father says: While earning your physical livelihoods, connect your intellects in yoga to Me.
118Mērī yād sē tumhē̃ bahut prāpti hōgī .
126You will receive a lot of attainment by remembering Me.
119Aur sabsē tō alpkāl key|kī prāpti hōtī hai .
127You receive temporary attainment from everyone else.
120Kitnī naudhā bhakti key|kī , achchhā , phir kyā huā ?
128OK, you performed so much intense devotion, but what happened then?
121Sākṣhātkār kiyā , bas nā .
129You had visions and that was all!
122Mukti-jīvanmukti tō nahī̃ milī .
130You didn't receive liberation or liberation-in-life.
123Ab bāp kahtē haĩ ki tum 21 janmō̃ kē liē viśhva K|kē mālik bantē hō .
131The Father now says: You are to become the masters of the world for 21 births.
124Svarg mē̃ garbh bhī mahal hōtā hai , yahā̃ tō garbh jēl hai .
132In heaven, each womb is like a palace. 133Here, each womb is a jail.
125Lōg śhrīkr̥iṣhṇa janmāṣhṭamī ādi kitnā dhūmdhām sē manātē haĩ , tumhē̃ sirph manānā nahī̃ hai lēkin sabkō samjhānā hai ki śhrīkr̥iṣhṇa kā janm kab huā ?
134People celebrate Shri Krishna Janmashtami with so much splendour, you don’t just celebrate, you have to explain about when it was the birth of Shri Krishna.
126Śhrīkr̥iṣhṇa abhī kahā̃ hai ?
135Where is Shri Krishna now?
127Tum jāntē hō abhī ham kr̥iṣhṇapurī kā mālik bannē kē liē paṛh rahē haĩ .
136You know that you are now studying to become the masters of the land of Krishna. 137You are sitting with the Father.
128Bāp kē pās baiṭhē haĩ . 129Bāp kō hāth jōṛē jātē haĩ kyā ?
138Would you salute your father by putting your palms together in front of Him?
130Teacher paṛhātē haĩ tō kyā unkō hāth jōṛnā hōtā hai , mahimā karnī hōtī hai ?
139When a teacher is teaching you, do you put your palms together in front of him? 140Do you have to praise him?
131Teacher sē tō paṛhnā hai .
141You have to study with a teacher.
132Bachchē bāp kō ghaṛī-ghaṛī hāth jōṛtē haĩ kyā ?
142Do children repeatedly put their palms together in front of their father?
133Is samay tō tum ghar mē̃ hō .
143At this time, you are at home.
134Tumkō bhāsnā ātī hai yah bāp bhī hai , patit-pāvan bhī hai .
144You have the feeling that that One is the Father and also the Purifier.
135Is samay 5 vikārō̃ kā grahaṇ lagnē K|kē kāraṇ tum bilkul hī kālē ban gayē hō .
145At this time, because there is an eclipse of the five vices over you, you have become completely ugly.
1365 vikārō̃ nē kālā kar diyā hai .
146The five vices have made you ugly.
137Satyug mē̃ tum gōrē sundar thē , abhī śhyām hō .
147In the golden age, you were beautiful and you are now ugly.
138Śhrīkr̥iṣhṇa sundar thā , abhī śhyām hai .
148Shri Krishna was beautiful and is now ugly.
139Kitnē bārī śhyām aur sundar banā hōgā !
149How many times would he have become ugly and beautiful?
140Kanspurī hī kr̥iṣhṇapurī ban jātī hai . 141Kr̥iṣhṇapurī phir kanspurī ban jātī hai .
150The land of Kans, the devil, becomes the land of Krishna, and the land of Krishna then becomes the land of Kans.
142Tum ātmāyē̃ hī tō brahmāṇḍ key|kī rahnē vālī hō .
151You souls are residents of Brahmand. 152It is called the brahm element.
143Brahm tatva kahā jātā hai .
153To say "I am brahm" is also an illusion.
144Aham brahm kahnā bhī bhram hai .
154You are the masters of Brahmand.
145Tum brahmāṇḍ K|kē mālik hō .
155Your throne is the brahm element.
