Murli

9Ōm śhānti .

11Om shanti.

10Śhiv bhagvānuvāch .

12God Shiva speaks.

11Ab śhiv bhagvān nirākār kō tō sabhī māntē haĩ .

13Everyone believes in incorporeal God Shiva.

12Ēk hī nirākār śhiv hai , jiskī sab pūjā kartē haĩ .

14It is only the one incorporeal Shiva whom everyone worships.

13Bākī jō bhī dēhdhārī haĩ unkā sākār rūp hai .

15All bodily beings have corporeal forms.

14Pahlē-pahlē nirākār ātmā thī phir sākār banī hai .

16Souls are first incorporeal and then they become corporeal.

15Sākār bantī hai , śharīr mē̃ pravēśh kartī hai tab unkā part chaltā hai .

17It is when they become corporeal by entering bodies that their parts are enacted.

16Mūlvatan mē̃ tō kōī part hai nahī̃ . 17Jaisē actors ghar mē̃ haĩ tō nāṭak kā part nahī̃ . 18Stage par ānē sē part bajātē haĩ .

18There are no parts in the incorporeal world, just as actors don't have to play a part when they are at home; they play their parts when they are on a stage.

19Ātmāyē̃ bhī yahā̃ ākar śharīr dvārā part bajātī haĩ .

19Similarly, souls too come here and play their parts through their bodies.

20Part par hī sārā madār hai .

20It all depends on each one’s part.

21Ātmā mē̃ tō kōī phark nahī̃ hai .

21There is no difference in souls.

22Jaisē tum bachchō̃ key|kī ātmā hai , vaisē inkī ātmā hai .

22Just as there are the souls of you children, so there is the soul of that One.

23Bāp param ātmā kyā kartē haĩ  ?

23What does the Father, the Supreme Soul, do?

24Unkā occupation kyā hai , vō jānnā hai .

24You have to know what His occupation is.

25Kōī president hai , rājā hai , yah ātmā kā occupation hai nā .

25If someone is a president or a king, that is the occupation of the soul.

26Yah pavitra dēvtāyē̃ haĩ , isliē inkō pūjā jātā hai .

26Deities are worshipped because they are pure.

27Abhī tum samajhtē hō yah paṛhāī paṛhkar lakṣhmī-nārāyaṇ viśhva K|kē mālik banē haĩ .

27You now understand that Lakshmi and Narayan became the masters of the world by studying this study.

28Kisnē banāyā  ?

28Who made them like that?

29Param ātmā nē .

29The Supreme Soul.

30Tum ātmāyē̃ bhī paṛhātī hō .

30You souls also teach.

31Baṛāī yah hai jō bāp ākar tum bachchō̃ kō paṛhātē haĩ aur rājyōg bhī sikhlātē haĩ .

31The greatness is that the Father comes and educates you children and also teaches you Raja Yoga.

32Kitnā sahaj hai .

32It is so easy.

33Iskō kahā jātā hai rājyōg .

33This is called Raja Yoga.

34Bāp kō yād karnē sē ham satōpradhān ban jātē haĩ .

34By remembering the Father, we become satopradhan.

35Bāp tō hai hī satōpradhān .

35The Father is satopradhan.

36Unkī kitnī mahimā gātē haĩ .

36People sing His praise so much.

37Bhakti mārg mē̃ kitnā phal , dūdh ādi chaṛhātē haĩ . 38Samajh kuchh nahī̃ .

37On the path of devotion, people offer Him so much fruit and milk etc., but they do not understand anything.

39Dēvtāō̃ kō pūjtē haĩ , śhiv par dūdh , fool|phūl ādi chaṛhātē haĩ , kuchh patā nahī̃ .

38They worship the deities and offer fruit and milk etc. to Shiva, but they don't know anything.

40Dēvtāō̃ nē rājya kiyā . 41Achchhā , śhiv par kyō̃ chaṛhātē  ?

39The deities ruled the kingdom, so why do people offer these things to Shiva?

42Usnē kyā karttavya kiyā hai jō itnā pūjtē hō  ?

40What acts did He carry out that people worship Him so much?

43Dēvtāō̃ kā tō phir bhī mālūm hai , vah haĩ svarg K|kē mālik .

41You know about the deities, that they were the masters of the heaven.

44Unhō̃ kō kisnē banāyā , yah bhī patā nahī̃ .

42They don't even know who made them like that.

45Pūjā bhī kartē haĩ śhiv key|kī parantu khyāl mē̃ nahī̃ ki yah bhagvān hai .

43People worship Shiva, but they don't know that He is God.

46Bhagvān nē inhō̃ kō aisā banāyā hai .

44God made them (the deities) like that.

47Kitnī bhakti kartē haĩ . 48Haĩ sab anjān .

45They perform so much devotion, but all of them are ignorant of this.

49Tumnē bhī śhiv key|kī pūjā kī hōgī , abhī tum samajhtē hō , āgē kuchh bhī nahī̃ jāntē thē .

46You must have performed worship of Shiva and you now understand all of that, but, you too didn't know anything previously.

50Unkā occupation kyā hai , kyā sukh dētē haĩ , kuchh bhī patā nahī̃ thā .

47You didn't know what His occupation is or what happiness He gives you.

51Kyā yah dēvtāyē̃ sukh dētē haĩ  ?

48Do those deities give you happiness?

52Bhal rājā-rānī , prajā kō sukh dētē haĩ parantu unhō̃ kō tō śhivbābā nē aisā banāyā nā .

49Although the king and queen give happiness to their subjects, it was Shiv Baba who made them as they are.

53Balihārī unkī hai .

50The greatness is of that One.

54Yah tō sirph rājāī kartē haĩ , prajā bhī ban jātī hai . 55Bākī yah kōī kā kalyāṇ nahī̃ kartē haĩ .

51Those people simply rule a kingdom and the subjects are also created, but they don't benefit anyone.

56Agar kartē bhī haĩ tō alpkāl kē liē .

52If they do benefit anyone, it is only for a temporary period.

57Abhī tum bachchō̃ kō bāp baiṭh paṛhātē haĩ .

53The Father sits here and teaches you children.

58Unkō kahā jātā hai kalyāṇkārī .

54He is called the Benefactor.

59Bāp apnā parichay dētē haĩ , mērē liṅg key|kī tum pūjā kartē thē , unkō param ātmā kahtē thē . 60Param ātmā sē paramātmā hō jātā .

55The Father gives His own introduction: You used to worship Me as a lingam. 56You used to call Him the Supreme Soul, and that then became Paramatma (God).

61Parantu yah nahī̃ jāntē ki yah kyā kartē haĩ .

57However, people don't know what He does.

62Bas , sirph kah dēgē ki vah sarvavyāpī hai . 63Nām-rūp sē nyārā hai .

58They simply say that He is omnipresent or that He is beyond name and form.

64Phir us par dūdh ādi chaṛhānā , śhōbhtā nahī̃ hai .

59In that case, it doesn't seem right to offer Him milk etc.

65Ākār hai tab tō us par chaṛhātē haĩ nā .

60It is because He has a form that people offer those things to Him.

66Unkō nirākār tō kah nahī̃ saktē .

61He cannot be called the One without a form.

67Tumsē manuṣhya argue bahut kartē haĩ , bābā kē āgē bhī ākar argue hī karē̃gē .

62People argue with you a lot. 63They even used to come to Baba and argue with him.

68Phāltū māthā khapāyēṅgē . 69Phāydā kuchh bhī nahī̃ .

64They would eat up your heads (trouble you) unnecessarily, but there was no benefit in that.

70Yah samjhānā tō tum bachchō̃ kā kām hai .

65It is the duty of you children to explain this.

71Tum bachchē jāntē hō bābā nē hamkō kitnā ūñch banāyā hai .

66You children know how elevated Baba made you.

72Yah paṛhāī hai . 73Bāp teacher ban paṛhātē haĩ .

67This is a study and the Father becomes your Teacher and teaches you.

74Tum manuṣhya sē dēvtā bannē kē liē paṛh rahē hō .

68You are studying to change from human beings into deities.

75Dēvī-dēvtā haĩ satyug mē̃ . 76Kaliyug mē̃ hōtē nahī̃ .

69Deities exist in the golden age; they don't exist in the iron age.

77Rām rājya hī nahī̃ jō pavitra rah sakē̃ .

70There is no kingdom of Rama here that they could remain pure.

78Dēvī-dēvtā thē phir vām mārg mē̃ chalē jātē haĩ .

71Deities used to exist and then they went on to the path of sin.

79Bākī jaisē chitra dikhāyē haĩ , aisē nahī̃ .

72However, they aren't like they have been portrayed in those images.

80Jagannāth K|kē mandir mē̃ tum dēkhē̃gē kālē chitra haĩ .

73If you saw the images at the Jagannath Temple, you would see that they are such dirty images.

81Bāp kahtē haĩ māyā jītē jagatjīt banō .

74The Father says: Conquer Maya and become conquerors of the world.

82Tō unhōnnē phir jagat-nāth nām rakh diyā hai .

75So, those people then gave the temple the name Jagannath (Lord of the World).

83Ūpar mē̃ sab gandē chitra dikhāyē haĩ , dēvtāyē̃ vām mārg mē̃ gayē tō kālē ban paṛē .

76Around the top, they have shown dirty images. 77When the deities went on to the path of sin, they became ugly.

84Unkī bhī pūjā kartē rahtē haĩ .

78People continue to worship them too.

85Manuṣhyō̃ kō tō kuchh patā nahī̃ - kab ham pūjya thē  ?

79People don't know anything about when they were worthy of worship.

8684 janmō̃ kā hisāb kiskī bhī buddhi mē̃ nahī̃ hai .

80The account of 84 births doesn't enter anyone's intellect.

87Pahlē pūjya satōpradhān phir 84 janm lētē-lētē tamōpradhān pujārī ban paṛtē haĩ .

81First of all, you were worthy of worship and satopradhan and then, while taking 84 births, you became tamopradhan and worshippers.

88Raghunāth mandir mē̃ kālā chitra dikhātē haĩ , arth|earth tō unkā kuchh bhī samajhtē nahī̃ .

82They show images made of black stone at the Raghunath Temple, too, but they don't understand the meaning of that either.

89Abhī tum bachchō̃ kō bāp baiṭh samjhātē haĩ .

83The Father now sits here and explains to you children.

90Gyān chitā par baiṭh gōrē bantē hō , kām chitā par baiṭh kālē ban paṛtē hō .

84You become beautiful by sitting on the pyre of knowledge and you become ugly by sitting on the pyre of lust.

91Dēvtāyē̃ vām mārg mē̃ jākar vikārī ban paṛē phir unkā nām dēvtā tō rakh nahī̃ saktē .

85Deities went on to the path of sin and became vicious and so they could no longer be called deities.

92Vām mārg mē̃ jānē sē kālē ban paṛē hō , yah niśhānī dikhāī hai .

86By going on to the path of sin, the deities have become ugly; they have been portrayed as such.

93Tum jāntē hō ki śhivbābā tō kālā bantā hī nahī̃ .

87You know that Shiv Baba never becomes ugly.

94Vah tō hīrā hai , jō tumkō bhī hīrē jaisā banātē haĩ .

88He is the Diamond who also makes you become like diamonds.

95Vah tō kabhī kālā bantē nahī̃ , unkō phir kālā kyō̃ banā diyā hai  !

89He never becomes ugly. 90So, why have they shown Him to be ugly?

96Kōī kālā hōgā , usnē baiṭh kālā banāyā hōgā .

91It would have been someone who was ugly who made an ugly image of Him.

97Śhivbābā kahtē haĩ hamnē kyā dōṣh kiyā jō mujhē kālā banā diyā hai .

92Shiv Baba says: What crime did I commit that you have shown Me as ugly?

98Maĩ tō ātā hī hū̃ sabkō gōrā banānē , maĩ tō sadaiv gōrā hū̃ .

93I come to make everyone beautiful. 94I am constantly beautiful.

99Manuṣhyō̃ key|kī aisī buddhi ban paṛī hai jō kuchh bhī samajhtē nahī̃ .

95The intellects of human beings have become such that they don't understand anything.

100Śhivbābā tō hai hī sabkō hīrā banānē vālā .

96Shiv Baba is the One who makes everyone into diamonds.

101Maĩ tō ever gōrā musāphir hū̃ .

97I am the ever beautiful Traveller.

102Mainnē kyā kiyā jō mujhē kālā banāyā hai .

98What did I do that you have shown Me as ugly?

103Ab tumkō bhī gōrā bannā hai ūñch pad pānē liē .

99You too now have to become beautiful in order to claim a high status.

104Ūñch pad kaisē pānā hai  ?

100How will you claim a high status?

105Vah tō bāp nē samjhāyā hai follow father .

101The Father has explained: Do that by following the father.

106Jaisē isnē ( bābā nē ) sab-kuchh bāp K|kē havālē kar diyā .

102This one (Brahma Baba) gave everything to the Father.

107Father kō dēkhō kaisē sab kuchh dē diyā . 108Bhal sādhāraṇ thē , na bahut garīb , na bahut sāhūkār thē .

103Look how the father gave everything away, even though he was ordinary: neither very wealthy nor very poor.

109Bābā abhī bhī kahtē haĩ tumhārā khān pān bīch kā sādhāraṇ hōnā chāhiē . 110Na bahut ūñch , na bahut cum|kam .

104Even now, Baba says: Your food and drink should be of an ordinary level; it should neither be too rich nor too plain.

111Bāp hī sab śhikṣhā dētē haĩ .

105The Father gives you all of these teachings.

112Yah bhī dēkhnē mē̃ tō sādhāraṇ hī ātē haĩ .

106This one is also ordinary to look at.

113Tumkō kahtē hai kahā̃ hai bhagvān , dikhāō .

107People say to you: Where is God? 108Show Him to me.

114Arē , ātmā bindī hai , unkō dēkhē̃gē kyā  !

109A soul is just a point; how can you see it?

115Yah tō jāntē hō ātmā kā sākṣhātkār in āṅkhō̃ sē hōtā nahī̃ .

110You know that you cannot have a vision of a soul with those eyes.

116Tum kahtē hō bhagvān paṛhātē haĩ tō jarūr kōī śharīrdhārī hōgā .

111You say that God is teaching you and so there must surely be a bodily being too.

117Nirākār kaisē paṛhāyēṅgē .

112How could the incorporeal One teach you?

118Manuṣhyō̃ kō tō kuchh bhī patā nahī̃ hai .

113People don't know anything at all.

119Jaisē tum ātmā hō , śharīr dvārā part bajātē hō . 120Ātmā hī part bajātī hai . 121Ātmā hī bōltī hai , śharīr dvārā .

114Just as you are souls and you play your parts through your bodies, so that Soul too speaks through a body.

122Tō ātmā vāch . 123Parantu ātmā vāch śhōbhtā nahī̃ .

115So, there are the versions spoken by that Soul, but it doesn't seem right to say, "Versions of the Soul".

124Ātmā tō vānaprasth , vāṇī sē parē hai , vāch tō śharīr sē hī karēgī .

116The Soul is in the stage of retirement, beyond sound, and he would only speak through a body.

125Vāṇī sē parē sirph ātmā hī rah jātī hai .

117It is only souls that resides beyond sound.

126Vāṇī mē̃ ānā hai tō śharīr jarūr chāhiē .

118If you want to come into sound, you definitely need a body.

127Bāp bhī gyān kā sāgar hai tō jarūr kiskē śharīr kā ādhār lēgā nā .

119The Father is also the Ocean of Knowledge and so He would definitely take the support of someone's body.

128Uskō rath kahā jātā hai .

120This one is called the chariot.

129Nahī̃ tō vah sunāyē kaisē  ?

121How else would He speak to you?

130Bāp patit sē pāvan bannē liē śhikṣhā dētē haĩ .

122The Father is giving you teachings to make you pure from impure.

131Prērṇā key|kī bāt nahī̃ .

123There is no question of inspiration.

132Yah tō gyān key|kī bāt hai .

124These are matters of knowledge.

133Vah āyē kaisē  ?

125How can He come?

134Kiskē śharīr mē̃ āyē  ?

126Whose body would He enter?

135Āyēgā tō jarūr manuṣhya mē̃ hī .

127He would surely enter the body of a human being.

136Kis manuṣhya mē̃ āyē  ?

128Which human being’s body would He enter?

137Kōī kō patā nahī̃ hai , sivāē tumhārē .

129No one, except you, knows this.

138Rachayitā khud hī baiṭh apnā parichay dētē haĩ . 139Maĩ kaisē aur kis rath mē̃ ātā hū̃ .

130The Creator Himself sits here and gives you His introduction: how I come and which chariot I enter.

140Bachchē tō jāntē haĩ ki bāp kā rath kaun-sā hai .

131You children know which chariot is the Father's.

141Bahut manuṣhya mūñjhē huē haĩ .

132People are very confused.

142Kis-kis kā rath banā dētē haĩ .

133They show His chariot to be so many things.

143Jānvar ādi mē̃ tō ā na sakē̃ .

134He cannot enter an animal etc.

144Bāp kahtē haĩ maĩ kis manuṣhya mē̃ āū̃ . 145Yah tō samajh nahī̃ saktē .

135People cannot understand which human being I have to enter.

146Ānā bhī bhārat mē̃ hī hōtā hai .

136I have to come in Bharat.

147Bhāratvāsiyō̃ mē̃ bhī kiskē tan mē̃ āū̃ , kyā president vā sādhū mahātmā K|kē rath mē̃ āyēgā  ?

137Which resident of Bharat’s body would I enter? 138Would He enter the chariot of the President, a sage or a great soul?

148Aisē bhī nahī̃ hai ki pavitra rath mē̃ ānā hai . 149Yah tō hai hī rāvaṇ rājya .

139It isn't that He would enter a pure chariot: this is the kingdom of Ravan.

150Gāyan bhī hai dūr dēśh kā rahnē vālā .

140“The Resident of the faraway land” has been remembered.

151Yah bhī bachchō̃ kō patā hai ki bhārat avināśhī khaṇḍ hai . 152Uskā kabhī vināśh nahī̃ hōtā .

141You children also know that Bharat is an imperishable land which is never destroyed.

153Avināśhī bāp avināśhī bhārat khaṇḍ mē̃ hī ātē haĩ .

142The eternal Father only comes in the imperishable land of Bharat.

154Kis tan mē̃ ātē haĩ , vah khud hī batātē haĩ .

143He Himself tells you which body He enters.

155Aur tō kōī jān na sakē .

144No one else can know this.

156Tum jāntē hō kōī sādhū mahātmā mē̃ bhī ā na sakē . 157Vah haĩ haṭhyōgī , nivr̥itti mārg vālē .

145You know that He cannot enter the body of a sage or great soul; they are hatha yogis who belong to the path of isolation.

158Bākī rahē bhāratvāsī bhakta .

146There then remain the devotees who are residents of Bharat.

159Ab bhaktō̃ mē̃ bhī kis bhakta mē̃ āyē  ?

147Of the devotees too, which devotee's body would He enter?

160Bhakta purānā chāhiē , jisnē bahut bhakti kī hō .

148It has to be an old devotee who has performed a lot of devotion.

161Bhakti kā phal bhagvān kō dēnē ānā paṛtā hai .

149God has to come to give the fruit of devotion.

162Bhārat mē̃ bhakta tō ḍhēr haĩ .

150There are so many devotees in Bharat.

163Kahē̃gē yah baṛā bhakta hai , ismē̃ ānā chāhiē .

151They would say: This one is a great devotee and God should enter him.

164Aisē tō bahut bhakta ban paṛtē haĩ .

152There are many who become devotees like this.

165Kal bhī kōī kō vairāgya āyē , bhakta ban jāyē .

153If someone were to have disinterest tomorrow, he would become a devotee.

166Vah tō is janm kā bhakta hō gayā nā .

154However, that would only make him a devotee for this one birth.

167Usmē̃ āyēṅgē nahī̃ .

155God would not enter that one.

168Maĩ usmē̃ ātā hū̃ , jisnē pahlē-pahlē bhakti śhurū key|kī .

156I enter the one who began devotion first.

169Dvāpar sē lēkar bhakti śhurū huī hai .

157Devotion began in the copper age.

170Yah hisāb-kitāb kōī samajh na sakē̃ .

158No one can understand this account.

171Kitnī gupta bātē̃ haĩ .

159These are such incognito matters.

172Maĩ ātā hū̃ usmē̃ jō pahlē-pahlē bhakti śhurū kartē haĩ .

160I enter the one who begins devotion first.

173Number one jō pūjya thā vahī phir number one pujārī bhī banēgā .
