Essence

1Mīṭhē bachchē - «  māyājīt bannē kē liē ġaphlat karnā chhōṛō , duḥkh dēnā aur duḥkh lēnā - yah bahut baṛī ġaphlat hai , jō tum bachchō̃ kō nahī̃ karnī chāhiē ' '

1Essence: Sweet children, in order to become conquerors of Maya, stop being careless. 2To cause or take sorrow is a very big mistake that you children should not make.

Question

2Praśhna  : bāp key|kī ham sab bachchō̃ kē prati kaun-sī ēk āśh hai  ?

3Question: What one desire does the Father have for you children?

Answer

3Uttar  : bāp key|kī āśh hai ki mērē sabhī bachchē mērē samān ever pure ban jāyē̃ .

4Answer: The Father's desire is that all His children become ever pure like Himself.

4Bāp ever gōrā hai , vah āyā hai bachchō̃ kō kālē sē gōrā banānē .

5The Father is ever beautiful and He has come to make you children beautiful from ugly.

5Māyā kālā banātī , bāp gōrā banātē haĩ .

6Maya makes you ugly and the Father makes you beautiful.

6Lakṣhmī-nārāyaṇ gōrē haĩ , tab kālē patit manuṣhya jākar unkī mahimā gātē haĩ , apnē kō nīch samajhtē haĩ .

7Lakshmi and Narayan were beautiful and this is why ugly, impure human beings go in front of them (their idols) and sing their praise. 8They consider themselves to be degraded.

7Bāp key|kī śhrīmat ab miltī hai - mīṭhē bachchē , ab gōrā satōpradhān bannē kā purūṣhārth karō .

9You now receive the Father's shrimat: Sweet children, now make effort to become beautiful and satopradhan.

Murli

8Ōm śhānti .

10Om shanti.

9Bāp kyā kar rahē haĩ aur bachchē kyā kar rahē haĩ  ?

11What is the Father doing and what are you children doing?

10Bāp bhī jāntē haĩ aur bachchē bhī jāntē haĩ ki hamārī ātmā jō tamōpradhān ban gaī hai , unkō satōpradhān banānā hai . 11Jiskō golden aged kahā jātā hai .

12The Father knows and you children know that you souls have become tamopradhan and that you now have to be made satopradhan, which is called golden aged.

12Bāp ātmāō̃ kō dēkhtē haĩ .

13The Father sees you souls.

13Ātmā kō hī khyāl hōtā hai , hamārī ātmā kālī ban gaī hai .

14It is the soul that has the thought: I, this soul, have become ugly.

14Ātmā K|kē kāraṇ phir śharīr bhī kālā ban gayā hai .

15Because of souls being ugly, their bodies too have become ugly.

15Lakṣhmī-nārāyaṇ K|kē mandir mē̃ jātē haĩ , āgē tō jarā bhī gyān nahī̃ thā .

16You people go to the Lakshmi and Narayan Temple but you previously didn't have any knowledge at all.

16Dēkhtē thē yah tō sarvguṇ sampann haĩ , gōrē haĩ , ham tō kālē bhūt haĩ . 17Parantu gyān nahī̃ thā .

17You would see that they (the idols of Lakshmi and Narayan) are full of all virtues and beautiful and that you yourselves are ugly, evil spirits, but you didn't have any of this knowledge.

18Abhī tō lakṣhmī-nārāyaṇ K|kē mandir mē̃ jāyēṅgē tō samajhē̃gē ham tō pahlē aisē sarvguṇ sampann thē , abhī kālē patit ban gayē haĩ .

18Now, when you go to the Lakshmi and Narayan Temple, you understand that you were full of all virtues and that you have now become ugly and impure.

19Unkē āgē kahtē haĩ ham kālē vicious pāpī haĩ .

19You used to sing in front of them: “We are ugly, vicious sinners.”

20Śhādī kartē haĩ tō pahlē lakṣhmī-nārāyaṇ K|kē mandir mē̃ lē jātē haĩ .

20After a couple are married, they are taken to the Lakshmi and Narayan Temple.

21Dōnō̃ hī pahlē nirvikārī haĩ phir vikārī bantē haĩ .

21Both are at first viceless and then they become vicious.

22Tō nirvikārī dēvtāō̃ kē āgē jākar apnē kō vikārī patit kahtē haĩ .

22People go in front of the viceless deity idols and call themselves vicious and impure.

23Śhādī K|kē pahlē aisē nahī̃ kahē̃gē .

23They would not say this before they married.

24Vikār mē̃ jānē sē hī phir mandir mē̃ jākar unkī mahimā kartē haĩ .

24It is only after people indulge in vice that they go to a temple and sing praise of the deities.

25Ājkal tō lakṣhmī-nārāyaṇ K|kē mandir mē̃ , śhiv K|kē mandir mē̃ śhādiyā̃ hōtī haĩ .

25Nowadays, people even have marriage ceremonies in the temples to Shiva and Lakshmi and Narayan.

26Patit bannē kē liē kaṅgan bāndhtē haĩ .

26They tie a bracelet in order to become impure.

27Abhī tum gōrā bannē kē liē kaṅgan bāndhtē hō isliē gōrā banānē vālē śhivbābā kō yād kartē hō .

27You are now tying a bracelet in order to become beautiful. 28This is why you remember Shiv Baba who makes you beautiful.

28Jāntē hō is rath K|kē bhrakuṭī kē bīch śhivbābā hai , vah ever-pure hai .

29You know that Shiv Baba is sitting in the centre of the forehead of this chariot.

29Unkī yahī āśh rahtī hai ki bachchē bhī pure gōrā ban jāyē̃ .

30He is ever pure. 31His one desire is that you children also become pure and beautiful.

30Māmēkam yād kar pure hō jāyē̃ .

32Constantly remember Me alone and become pure.

31Ātmā kō yād karnā hai bāp kō .

33Souls have to remember the Father.

32Bāp bhī bachchō̃ kō dēkh-dēkh harṣhit hōtē haĩ .

34The Father is pleased to see the children.

33Tum bachchē bhī bāp kō dēkh-dēkh samajhtē hō pavitra ban jāyē̃ . 34Tō phir ham aisē lakṣhmī-nārāyaṇ banē̃gē .

35You children understand that you will become pure by looking at the Father and that you will then become like Lakshmi and Narayan.

35Yah aim object bachchō̃ kō bahut khabardārī sē yād rakhnī hai .

36You children have to remember this aim and objective with a lot of caution.

36Aisē nahī̃ , bas bābā kē pās āyē haĩ . 37Phir vahā̃ jānē sē apnē hī dhandhē ādi mē̃ pūrē hō jāō isliē yahā̃ sammukh bāp baiṭh bachchō̃ kō samjhātē haĩ .

37Do not think that you have come to Baba and that, when you go back, you can then just become engrossed in your own business. 38Therefore, the Father personally sits here in front of you children and explains to you.

38Bhrakuṭī kē bīch ātmā rahtī hai .

39Each soul resides in the centre of a forehead.

39Akāl ātmā kā yah takht hai , jō ātmā hamārē bachchē haĩ , vah is takht par baiṭhē haĩ .

40This is the throne of the immortal soul. 41Souls, who are My children, are sitting in their foreheads.

40Khud ātmā tamōpradhān hai tō takht bhī tamōpradhān hai .

42Souls themselves are tamopradhan and so their thrones are also tamopradhan.

41Yah achchhī rīti samajhnē key|kī bātē̃ haĩ .

43These matters have to be understood very well.

42Aisā lakṣhmī-nārāyaṇ bannā kōī māsī kā ghar nahī̃ hai .

44To become like Lakshmi and Narayan is not like going to your aunty's home.

43Abhī tum samajhtē hō ham in jaisā ban rahē haĩ .

45You now understand that you are becoming like them.

44Ātmā pavitra bankar hī jāyēgī . 45Phir dēvī-dēvtā kahalāyēṅgē .

46After becoming pure, you souls will go back and you will then be called deities.

46Ham aisē svarg K|kē mālik bantē haĩ . 47Parantu māyā aisī hai jō bhulā dētī hai .

47We are becoming the masters of such a heaven, but Maya is such that she makes you forget.

48Kaī yahā̃ sē sunkar bāhar jātē haĩ phir bhūl jātē haĩ isliē bābā achchhī rīti pakkā karātē haĩ - apnē kō dēkhnā hai , jitnā in dēvtāō̃ mē̃ guṇ haĩ vah hamnē dhāraṇ kiyē haĩ , śhrīmat par chalkar  ?

48Some listen to this knowledge here, but when they go outside they forget it. 49This is why Baba has you make it very firm. 50Each of you has to examine yourself: Have I imbibed the virtues that these deities have by following shrimat?

49Chitra bhī sāmnē haĩ .

51The picture is in front of you.

50Tum jāntē hō hamkō yah bannā hai .

52You know that you have to become like them.

51Bāp hī banāyēṅgē .

53Only the Father would make you become like them.

52Dūsrā kōī manuṣhya sē dēvtā banā na sakē .

54No one else can change you from human beings into deities.

53Ēk bāp hī banānē vālā hai .

55Only the one Father makes you become like them.

54Gāyan bhī hai manuṣhya sē dēvtā … .

56It is sung: It didn't take God long to change human beings into deities.

55Tumhārē mē̃ bhī number-vār jāntē haĩ .

57You too know this, numberwise.

56Yah bātē̃ bhakta lōg nahī̃ jāntē .

58Devotees do not know these things.

57Jab tak bhagvān key|kī śhrīmat na lēvē̃ , kuchh bhī samajh na sakē̃ .

59They cannot understand anything until they receive God's shrimat.

58Tum bachchē ab śhrīmat lē rahē hō .

60You children are now receiving shrimat.

59Yah achchhī rīti buddhi mē̃ rakhō ki ham śhivbābā key|kī mat par bābā kō yād kartē-kartē yah ban rahē haĩ .

61Keep this in your intellects very well: We are becoming this by remembering Baba according to His shrimat.

60Yād sē hī pāp bhasma hōṅgē , aur kōī upāya nahī̃ .

62Only by having remembrance will your sins be burnt away; there is no other way.

61Lakṣhmī-nārāyaṇ tō gōrē haĩ nā . 62Mandirō̃ mē̃ phir sānvarē banā rakhē haĩ .

63Lakshmi and Narayan were beautiful, but they have been shown in the temples as ugly.

63Raghunāth mandir mē̃ rām kō kālā banāyā hai - kyō̃  ?

64In the Radhunath Temple, they have shown Rama to be ugly. 65Why?

64Kiskō patā nahī̃ .

66No one knows.

65Bāt kitnī chhōṭī hai .

67This is such a small matter.

66Bābā samjhātē haĩ śhurū mē̃ yah thē satōpradhān ḵẖūbṣhūrat .

68The Father explains: In the beginning, they were satopradhan and beautiful.

67Prajā bhī satōpradhān ban jātī hai parantu sazāyē̃ khākar bantī hai .

69Even the subjects were satopradhan, but they became that after experiencing punishment.

68Jitnī jāstī sazā , utnā pad bhī kam hō jātā hai .

70The more the punishment, the lower the status.

69Mēhnat nahī̃ kartē tō pāp kaṭtē nahī̃ . 70Pad kam hō jātā hai .

71If you don’t make effort, your sins are not cut away and your status is reduced.

71Bāp tō clear kar samjhātē haĩ .

72The Father explains everything to you very clearly.

72Tum yahā̃ baiṭhē hō gōrā bannē kē liē .

73You are sitting here in order to become beautiful.

73Parantu māyā baṛī duśhman hai , jisnē kālā banāyā hai .

74However, Maya is the great enemy who has made you ugly.

74Dēkhtē haĩ ab gōrā banānē vālā āyā hai tō māyā sāmnā kartī hai .

75She sees that the Father who makes you beautiful has come and so she causes opposition.

75Bāp kahtē haĩ yah tō drama anusār unkō ādhākalp kā part bajānā hai .

76The Father says: According to the drama, she has to play her part for half of each cycle.

76Māyā ghaṛī-ghaṛī mukh mōṛ aur taraph lē jātī hai .

77Maya repeatedly makes you turn your face away and takes you in another direction.

77Likhtē haĩ bābā hamkō māyā bahut taṅg kartī hai .

78Some write: “Baba, Maya causes me a lot of trouble.”

78Bābā kahtē yahī yuddha hai .

79Baba says: This is a battle.

79Tum gōrē sē kālē phir kālē sē gōrē bantē hō , yah khēl hai .

80You become ugly from beautiful and beautiful from ugly: this is a play.

80Samjhātē bhī unkō haĩ jisnē pūrē 84 janma liyē haĩ .

81He explains to those who have taken the full 84 births.

81Unkē pāṅw bhārat mē̃ hī ātē haĩ .

82They only set foot in Bharat.

82Aisē bhī nahī̃ , bhārat mē̃ sab 84 janm lēnē vālē haĩ .

83It isn't that everyone in Bharat takes 84 births.

83Abhī tum bachchō̃ kā yah time most valuable hai .

84The present time of you children is most valuable.

84Purūṣhārth karnā chāhiē pūrā , hamkō aisā bannā hai .

85You have to make full effort to become like them.

85Jarūr bāp nē kahā hai sirph mujhē yād karō aur daivīguṇ bhī dhāraṇ karnē haĩ .

86The Father has definitely said: Simply remember Me alone and also imbibe divine virtues.

86Kiskō bhī duḥkh nahī̃ dēnā hai .

87Don't cause anyone sorrow.

87Bāp kahtē haĩ - bachchō̃ , ab aisī ġaphlat mat karō .

88The Father says: Children, don’t become careless.

88Buddhiyōg ēk bāp sē lagāō .

89Let your intellects be connected in yoga to the one Father.

89Tumnē pratigyā kī thī ham āp par vārī jāyēṅgē .

90You have promised: I will surrender myself to You.

90Janma-janmāntar pratigyā kartē āyē hō - bābā , āp āyēṅgē tō ham āpkī mat par hī chalē̃gē , pāvan ban dēvtā ban jāyēṅgē .

91You have been promising this for birth after birth: Baba, when You come, we will only follow Your directions, we will become pure and then become deities.

91Agar yugal tumhārā sāth nahī̃ dētā tō tum apnā purūṣhārth karō .

92If your spouse doesn't co-operate with you, you can make your own effort.

92Yugal sāthī nahī̃ bantē tō jōṛī nahī̃ banēgī .

93If your spouse doesn't come with you, you won't be a couple there.

93Jisnē jitnā yād kiyā hōgā , daivīguṇ dhāraṇ kiyā hōgā , unkī hī jōṛī banēgī .

94However much remembrance they have had and however many divine virtues they have imbibed, couples will accordingly be formed.

94Jaisē dēkhō brahmā-sarasvatī nē achchhā purūṣhārth kiyā hai tō jōṛī bantī haĩ .

95For instance, Brahma and Saraswati have made very good efforts and so they become a couple.

95Yah bahut achchhī service kartē haĩ , yād mē̃ rahtē haĩ , yah bhī guṇ hai nā .

96They do very good service and stay in remembrance. 97That too is a virtue.

96Gōpō̃ mē̃ bhī achchhē-achchhē bahut bachchē haĩ .

98Amongst the gopes (brothers) too, there are many very good children.

97Kōī khud bhī samajhtē haĩ , māyā key|kī kaśhiśh hōtī hai .

99Some children understand for themselves that they are attracted by Maya.

98Yah jañjīr ṭūṭtī nahī̃ hai . 99Ghaṛī-ghaṛī nām-rūp mē̃ phansā dētī hai .

100Those chains do not break; they repeatedly trap you in name and form.

100Bāp kahtē haĩ nām-rūp mē̃ nahī̃ phansō .

101The Father says: Do not become trapped in someone’s name or form.

101Mērē mē̃ phansō nā .

102Become trapped in Me.

102Jaisē tum nirākār hō , maĩ bhī nirākār hū̃ .

103Just as you are incorporeal, so I too am incorporeal.

103Tumkō āp samān banātā hū̃ .

104I make you the same as I am.

104Teacher āp samān banāyēṅgē nā .

105A teacher would make you the same as himself.

105Surgeon , surgeon banāyēṅgē .

106A surgeon would make you into a surgeon.

106Yah tō bēhad kā bāp hai , unkā nām bālā hai .

107That One is the unlimited Father and His name is glorified.

107Bulātē bhī haĩ - hē patit-pāvan āō .

108People call out: O Purifier, come!

108Ātmā bulātī hai , śharīr dvārā - bābā ākar hamkō pāvan banāō .

109Souls call out through their bodies: Baba, come and make us pure!

109Tum jāntē hō hamē̃ pāvan kaisē banā rahē haĩ .

110You know how He is purifying you.

110Jaisē hīrē hōtē haĩ , unmē̃ bhī kōī kālē dāġī hōtē haĩ .

111Some diamonds, too, have flaws in them.

111Abhī ātmā mē̃ alloy paṛā hai .

112Alloy is now mixed in souls.

112Uskō nikāl phir sachchā sōnā bantē haĩ .

113That is being removed and souls are being made into real gold.

113Ātmā kō bahut pure bannā hai .

114You souls have to become very pure.

114Tumhārī aim object clear hai .

115Your aim and objective is clear.

115Aur satsaṅgō̃ mē̃ aisē kabhī nahī̃ kahē̃gē .

116This would never be said in any other spiritual gathering.

116Bāp samjhātē haĩ , tumhārā uddēśhya hai yah bannē kā .

117The Father explains: Your aim is to become this.

117Yah bhī jāntē hō drama anusār ham ādhākalp rāvaṇ K|kē saṅg mē̃ vikārī banē haĩ .

118You also know that, according to the drama, you have been vicious for half a cycle in the company of Ravan.

118Ab yah bannā hai .

119You now have to become this.

119Tumhārē pās|pass badge bhī hai .

120Each of you also has a badge.

120Is par samjhānā bahut sahaj hai . 121Yah hai trimūrti .

121It is very easy to explain using that badge: This is the Trimurti.

122Brahmā dvārā sthāpanā parantu brahmā tō kartē nahī̃ haĩ .

122Establishment takes place through Brahma, but Brahma doesn't do that.

123Vah tō patit sē pāvan bantē haĩ .

123He is becoming pure from impure.

124Manuṣhyō̃ kō yah patā nahī̃ hai ki yah patit hī phir pāvan bantē haĩ .

124People don't know that this impure one then becomes pure.

125Ab tum bachchē samajhtē hō mañjil paṛhāī kī ūñchī hai .

125You children now understand that the destination of your study is high.

126Bāp ātē haĩ paṛhānē kē liē .

126The Father comes to teach you.

127Gyān hai hī bābā mē̃ , vah kōī sē paṛhā huā nahī̃ hai .

127Baba has this knowledge, but He didn't studied it with anyone.

128Drama K|kē plan anusār unmē̃ gyān hai .

128According to the drama plan, He has this knowledge.

129Aisē nahī̃ kahē̃gē ki inmē̃ gyān kahā̃ sē āyā  ?

129You cannot ask: Where did that One receive this knowledge from?

130Nahī̃ , vah hai hī knowledgeful .

130No; He is knowledge-full.

131Vahī tumhē̃ patit sē pāvan banātē haĩ .

131He alone makes you pure from impure.

132Manuṣhya tō pāvan bannē kē liē gaṅgā ādi mē̃ snān kartē hī rahtē haĩ .

132People go to bathe in the Ganges in order to become pure from impure.

133Samudra mē̃ bhī snān kartē haĩ .

133They also bathe in the ocean.

134Phir pūjā bhī kartē haĩ , sāgar dēvtā samajhtē haĩ .

134Then, they also perform worship and consider the ocean to be a deity.

135Vāstav mē̃ nadiyā̃ jō bahtī haĩ vah tō haĩ hī . 136Kabhī vināśh kō nahī̃ pātī .

135In fact, rivers flow all the time; they are never destroyed.

137Bākī pahlē yah order mē̃ rahtī thī . 138Bāṛh ādi kā nām nahī̃ thā .

136However, previously they used to be under control; there was no mention of floods, etc.

139Kabhī manuṣhya ḍūbtē nahī̃ thē .

137People never drowned in them.

140Vahā̃ tō manuṣhya hī thōṛē hōtē thē , phir vr̥iddhi kō pātē rahtē haĩ .

138There, there are few human beings, and then the number of them continues to grow.

141Kaliyug ant tak kitnē manuṣhya hō jātē haĩ .

139There are so many human beings by the end of the iron age.

142Vahā̃ tō āyu bhī bahut baṛī rahtī hai .

140There, people's lifespans are very long.

143Kitnē cum|kam manuṣhya hōṅgē .

141There will be very few human beings.

144Phir 2500 varṣh mē̃ kitnī vr̥iddhi hō jātī hai . 145Jhāṛ kā kitnā vistār hō jātā hai .

142Then, in 2500 years, there is so much expansion; the tree grows so much.

146Pahlē-pahlē bhārat mē̃ sirph hamārā hī rājya thā .

143First of all, there was just our kingdom in Bharat.

147Tum aisē kahē̃gē . 148Tumhārē mē̃ bhī kōī haĩ jinkō yād rahtā hai ham apnā rājya sthāpan kar rahē haĩ .

144You would say that some of you, too, remember that you are establishing your own kingdom.

149Ham rūhānī warriors yōgbal vālē haĩ .

145We are spiritual warriors who have the power of yoga.

150Yah bhī bhūl jātē haĩ .

146They even forget this.

151Ham māyā sē laṛāī karnē vālē haĩ .

147We are those who battle with Maya.

152Ab yah rājdhānī sthāpan hō rahī hai .

148This kingdom is now being established.

153Jitnā bāp kō yād karē̃gē utnā vijayī banē̃gē .

149The more you remember the Father, the more victorious you will become.

154Aim object hai hī aisā bannē kē liē .

150Your aim and objective is to become like them.

155In dvārā bābā hamkō yah dēvtā banātē haĩ .

151Baba is making you into deities through this one.

156Tō phir kyā karnā chāhiē  ?

152So, what should you do?

157Bāp kō yād karnā chāhiē .

153You should remember the Father.

158Yah tō huā dalāl .

154This one is the agent in between.

159Gāyan bhī hai jab satguru milā dalāl K|kē rūp mē̃ .

155It is remembered that when you found the Satguru, it was in the form of an agent.

160Bābā yah śharīr lētē haĩ tō yah bīch mē̃ dalāl huā nā .

156When Baba takes this body, this one is the agent in between.

161Phir tumhārā yōg lagvātē haĩ śhivbābā sē , bākī sagāī ādi nām mat lō|low .

160He says: Children, remember Me, your Father.

164Tum tō aisē nahī̃ kahē̃gē - mujh bāp kō yād karō .

161You would not say: “Remember Me, your Father.”

165Tum bāp kā gyān sunāyēṅgē - bābā aisē kahtē haĩ .

162You would relate the Father's knowledge: “This is what Baba says.”

166Yah bhī bāp achchhī rīti samjhātē haĩ .

163The Father also explains this to you very clearly.

167Āgē chal bahutō̃ kō sākṣhātkār hōṅgē phir dil andar khātā rahēgā .

164As you progress further, many of you will have visions and your consciences will continue to bite you.

178Vināśh dēkhnā kōī māsī kā ghar nahī̃ hai , bāt mat pūchhō .

174To witness destruction is not like going to your aunty's home, don't even ask!

184Dō kō alag karnē sē laṛtē rahtē haĩ . 185Tō unhō̃ kā bārūd biktā rahēgā . 186Kamāī huī nā .

189Usmē̃ na manuṣhyō̃ key|kī , na hathiyārō̃ key|kī darkār hai .

183There, there is no need for human beings or weapons.

190Tō bāp samjhātē haĩ - bachchē , sthāpanā tō jarūr hōnī hai .

184The Father explains: Children, establishment will definitely take place.

191Jitnā jō purūṣhārth karē̃gē utnā ūñch pad pāyēṅgē .

185The more efforts you make, the higher the status you will claim.

192Samjhātē tō bahut haĩ , bhagvān kahtā hai yah kām kaṭārī na chalāō .

186A lot is explained to you. 187God says: Children, do not use that sword of lust.

193Kām kō jītnē sē jagatjīt bannā hai .

188By conquering lust, you become conquerors of the world.

194Ākhrīn mē̃ kōī kō tīr lagēgā jarūr .

189Eventually, the arrow will definitely strike someone.

195Achchhā  !

190Achcha.

196Mīṭhē-mīṭhē sikīladhē bachchō̃ prati māt-pitā bāpdādā kā yād-pyār aur good morning .

191To the sweetest, beloved, long-lost and now-found children, love, remembrance and good morning from the Mother, the Father, BapDada.

197Rūhānī bāp kī rūhānī bachchō̃ kō namastē .
