Essence

1 «  mīṭhē bachchē - vināśhī śharīrō̃ sē pyār na karkē avināśhī bāp sē pyār karō tō rōnē sē chhūṭ jāyēṅgē ' '

1Essence: Sweet children, do not have love for perishable bodies, but have love for the imperishable Father and you will become liberated from crying.

Question

2Praśhna  : unrighteous pyār kyā hai aur uskā pariṇām kyā hōtā hai  ?

2Question: What is unrighteous love and what are its consequences?

Answer

3Uttar  : vināśhī śharīrō̃ mē̃ mōh rakhnā unrighteous pyār hai .

3Answer: To have attachment to perishable bodies is to have unrighteous love.

4Jō vināśhī chīzō̃ mē̃ mōh rakhtē haĩ , vah rōtē haĩ .

4Those who have attachment to perishable things cry.

5Dēh-abhimān K|kē kāraṇ rōnā ātā hai .

5There is crying because of body consciousness.

6Satyug mē̃ sab ātma-abhimānī haĩ , isliē rōnē key|kī bāt hī nahī̃ rahtī .

6In the golden age, all are soul conscious and there is therefore no question of crying.

7Jō rōtē haĩ vah khōtē haĩ .

7Those who cry end up losing everything.

8Avināśhī bāp key|kī avināśhī bachchō̃ kō ab śhikṣhā miltī hai , dēhī-abhimānī banō tō rōnē sē chhūṭ jāyēṅgē .

8The imperishable children of the imperishable Father now receive those teachings: Become soul conscious and you will be liberated from crying.

Murli

9Ōm śhānti .

9Om shanti.

10Yah tō bachchē hī jāntē haĩ ki ātmā avināśhī hai aur bāp bhī avināśhī hai , tō pyār kiskō karnā chāhiē  ?

10Only you children know that souls are imperishable and that the Father is also imperishable. 11So, whom should you love?

11Avināśhī ātmā kō .

12Imperishable souls.

12Avināśhī kō hī pyār karnā hai , vināśhī śharīr kō thōṛēhī pyār karnā chāhiē .

13It is only imperishable ones that should be loved. 14One should not love perishable bodies.

13Sārī duniyā vināśhī hai , har ēk chīz vināśhī hai , yah śharīr vināśhī hai , ātmā avināśhī hai .

15The whole world is perishable. 16Everything is perishable. 17This body is also perishable, whereas the soul is imperishable.

14Ātmā kā pyār avināśhī hōtā hai . 15Ātmā kabhī martī nahī̃ , uskō kahā jātā hai righteous .

18Love for a soul is imperishable; a soul never dies. 19This is said to be righteous.

16Bāp kahtē haĩ tum unrighteous ban gayē hō .

20The Father says: You have become unrighteous.

17Vāstav mē̃ avināśhī kā avināśhī kē sāth pyār hōnā chāhiē .

21In fact, imperishable ones should have love for the imperishable One.

18Tumhārā pyār vināśhī śharīr kē sāth hō gayā hai isliē rōnā paṛtā hai . 19Avināśhī kē sāth pyār nahī̃ .

22You have love for perishable bodies and this is why you end up crying; you don't have love for imperishable souls.

20Vināśhī kē sāth pyār hōnē sē rōnā paṛtā hai .

23Because of having love for the perishable, you have to cry.

21Abhī tum apnē kō avināśhī ātmā samajhtē hō tō rōnē key|kī bāt nahī̃ kyōṅki ātma-abhimānī haĩ .

24You now consider yourselves to be imperishable souls, and so there is no question of crying, because you are soul conscious.

22Tō bāp ab tum bachchō̃ kō ātma-abhimānī banātē haĩ .

25So, the Father is now making you children soul conscious.

23Dēh-abhimānī hōnē sē rōnā hōtā hai . 24Vināśhī śharīr pichhāṛī rōtē haĩ .

26By being body conscious, you end up crying; you cry over perishable bodies.

25Samajhtē bhī haĩ ātmā martī nahī̃ hai .

27You understand that souls never die.

26Bāp kahtē haĩ apnē kō ātmā samjhō .

28The Father says: Consider yourselves to be souls.

27Tum avināśhī bāp K|kē bachchē avināśhī ātmā hō , tumkō rōnē key|kī darkār nahī̃ .

29So, you are imperishable souls, imperishable children of the imperishable Father. 30You don't need to cry.

28Ātmā ēk śharīr chhōṛ jāē dūsrā part bajātī hai .

31A soul sheds a body and goes and plays another part.

29Yē tō khēl hai .

32This is a play.

30Tum śharīr mē̃ mamatva kyō̃ rakhtē hō .

33Why do you have attachment to a body?

31Dēh sahit dēh K|kē sab sambandhō̃ sē buddhiyōg tōṛō . 32Apnē kō avināśhī ātmā samjhō .

34Break your intellect's yoga away from your body and all its relationships and consider yourself to be an imperishable soul.

33Ātmā kabhī martī nahī̃ .

35Souls never die.

34Gāyan bhī hai jō rōyā sō khōyā .

36It is also remembered: Those who cry lose out.

35Ātma-abhimānī bannē sē hī lāyak ban jāyēṅgē .

37By becoming soul conscious, you will become worthy.

36Tō bāp ākar dēh-abhimānī sē ātma-abhimānī banātē haĩ .

38So, the Father comes and makes you soul conscious from body conscious.

37Kahtē haĩ tum kaisē bhūlē huē hō .

39He says: How is it that you have forgotten everything?

38Janma-janmāntar tumkō rōnā paṛā hai .

40You have had to cry for birth after birth.

39Ab phir sē tumkō ātma-abhimānī bannē key|kī śhikṣhā miltī hai .

41You are now being given teachings to become soul conscious once again.

40Phir tum kabhī rōyēṅgē hī nahī̃ .

42Then, you will never cry.

41Yah hai rōnē vālī duniyā , vah hai hãsnē key|kī duniyā .

43This is a world of tears, whereas that is a world of laughter.

42Yah duḥkh key|kī duniyā , vah sukh key|kī duniyā .

44This is a world of sorrow, whereas that is a world of happiness.

43Bāp bahut achchhī rīti sē śhikṣhā dētē haĩ .

45The Father gives you teachings in a very nice way.

44Avināśhī bāp key|kī avināśhī bachchō̃ kō śhikṣhā miltī hai .

46The imperishable children of the imperishable Father are receiving teachings.

45Vah dēh-abhimānī haĩ tō dēh kō hī dēkh śhikṣhā dētē haĩ .

47Those people are body conscious and they give teachings while only looking at bodies.

46Tō dēh key|kī yād ānē sē rōtē haĩ .

48People cry when they remember a body.

47Dēkhtē bhī haĩ śharīr khatm hō gayā phir unkō yād karnē sē kyā phāydā .

49They even see that that body has been destroyed, and so what would be the benefit of remembering it?

48Miṭṭī kō yād kiyā jātā hai kyā  ?

50Would you remember ashes?

49Avināśhī chīz nē jākar dūsrā śharīr liyā .

51The imperishable thing (soul) went and took another body.

50Yah tō bachchē jāntē haĩ - jō achchhā karma kartā hai , unkō phir śharīr bhī achchhā miltā hai .

52You children know that those who perform good actions also receive good bodies.

51Kōī kō kharāb rōgī śharīr miltā hai , vah bhī karmō̃ anusār hai .

53Some receive badly diseased bodies. 54That too is according to their karma.

52Aisā nahī̃ ki achchhā karma kiyā hai tō ūpar chalē jāyēṅgē .

55It isn't that if they have performed good actions, they go up above; no.

53Nahī̃ , ūpar tō kōī jā nahī̃ saktē .

56No one can go up above.

54Achchhē karma kiyē haĩ tō achchhā kahalāyēṅgē . 55Janm achchhā milēgā phir bhī nīchē tō utarnā hī hai .

57Those who have performed good actions would be called good and they would receive a good birth, but they still have to come down.

56Tum jāntē hō ki ham chaṛhtē kaisē haĩ .

58You know how we ascend.

57Bhal achchhē karmō̃ sē kōī mahātmā banēgā phir bhī kalā tō cum|kam hōtī hī jāyēgī .

59Although someone might become a mahatma (great soul) by performing good actions, his degrees would still continue to decrease.

58Bāp kahtē haĩ phir bhī īśhvar kō yād kar achchhā karma kartē haĩ tō unkō alpkāl kṣhaṇ bhaṅgur sukh dētā hū̃ .

60The Father says: Even so, they remember God and perform good actions, and so I give them temporary happiness.

59Phir bhī sīṛhī nīchē tō utarnā hī hai .

61Nevertheless, they still have to come down the ladder.

60Nām karkē achchhā hō . 61Yahā̃ tō manuṣhya achchhē-burē karmō̃ kō bhī nahī̃ jāntē haĩ .

62Perhaps they have a good name, but people here can't even distinguish between good and bad actions.

62Riddhi-siddhi vālō̃ kō kitnā mān dētē haĩ .

63Those who have occult powers are given so much regard.

63Unhō̃ K|kē pichhāṛī manuṣhya jaisē hairān hōtē haĩ .

64People go crazy chasing after them.

64Hai tō sārā agyān .

65All of that is ignorance.

65Samjhō kōī indirect dān-puṇya kartē haĩ , dharmaśhālā , hospital banātē haĩ . 66Tō dūsrē janm mē̃ uskā ēvazā jarūr miltā hai .

66For instance, someone makes donations and performs charity indirectly or builds a dharamshala or a hospital, so he would surely receive the return of that in his next birth.

67Bāp kō yād kartē haĩ , bhal gāliyā̃ bhī dētē haĩ tō bhī mukh sē bhagvān kā nām kahtē haĩ .

67They also remember the Father and, even though they insult others, they still take the name of God.

68Bākī anjān hōnē kāraṇ jāntē kuchh nahī̃ .

68However, because of being ignorant, they don't know anything.

69Bhagvān kō yād kar rūdra pūjā kartē haĩ , rūdra kō bhagvān samajhtē haĩ .

69They remember God and worship Rudra. 70They consider Rudra to be God.

70Rūdra yagya rachtē haĩ .

71They create a sacrificial fire to Rudra.

71Śhiv vā rūdra key|kī pūjā kartē haĩ .

72They worship Shiva or Rudra.

72Bāp kahtē haĩ mērī pūjā kartē haĩ parantu bēsamajhī sē kyā-kyā banātē haĩ , kyā-kyā kartē haĩ .

73The Father says: They worship Me, but look at what they create and what they all do out of senselessness!

73Jitnē manuṣhya utnē unhō̃ K|kē gurū haĩ .

74There are as many gurus for human beings as there are human beings.

74Jhāṛ mē̃ nayē-nayē pattē , ṭāl-ṭāliyā̃ ādi nikaltē haĩ tō vah kitnā śhōbhtē haĩ .

75When new leaves and branches emerge on a tree, they look so beautiful.

75Satōguṇī hōnē K|kē kāraṇ unkī mahimā hōtī hai .

76Because of being satoguni, they are praised.

76Bāp kahtē haĩ ki yah duniyā hai hī vināśhī chīzō̃ kō pyār karnē vālī .

77The Father says: This is a world of those who have love for perishable things.

77Kōī-kōī kā bahut pyār hōtā hai tō mōh mē̃ jaisē pāgal ban jātē haĩ .

78Some have so much love that it is as though they go crazy out of attachment.

78Baṛē-baṛē sēṭh lōg mōhavaśh pāgal hō jātē haĩ .

79Even important businessmen go crazy out of attachment.

79Mātāō̃ kō gyān na hōnē kāraṇ vināśhī śharīr pichhāṛī vidhvā ban kitnā rōtī , yād kartī rahtī haĩ .

80Because women don't have this knowledge, when they become widows, they cry so much in remembrance of those perishable bodies.

80Abhī tum apnē kō ātmā samajh , dūsrē kō bhī ātmā dēkhtē hō tō zarā bhī duḥkh nahī̃ hōtā .

81You now consider yourselves to be souls and you look at others as souls, and so there isn't the slightest sorrow.

81Paṛhāī kō source of income kahā jātā hai .

82A study is said to be a source of income.

82Paṛhāī mē̃ aim object bhī hōtī hai .

83There is also an aim and objective in studying.

83Parantu vah hai ēk janm kē liē .

84However, that is for one birth.

84Government sē pagār miltā hai .

85They receive a salary from the Government.

85Paṛhkar dhandhādhōrī kartē haĩ , tab paisē ādi miltē haĩ .

86They study and then do business. 87Only then do they receive money.

86Yahā̃ tō phir bāt hī naī hai .

88Here, this is something new.

87Tum avināśhī gyān ratnō̃ sē jhōlī kaisē bhartē hō .

89How do you fill your aprons with the imperishable jewels of this knowledge?

88Ātmā samajhtī hai ki bābā hamkō avināśhī gyān khajānā dētē haĩ .

90The soul understands that Baba is giving us the imperishable treasure of this knowledge.

89Bhagvān paṛhātē haĩ tō jarūr bhagvān bhagvatī hī banāyēṅgē .

91God is teaching you, and so He would surely make you into gods and goddesses.

90Parantu vāstav mē̃ in lakṣhmī-nārāyaṇ kō bhagvān-bhagvatī samajhnā wrong hai .

92However, it is in fact wrong to consider Lakshmi and Narayan to be a god and goddess.

91Abhī tum bachchē jāntē hō - ōhō , jab ham dēh-abhimānī hō jātē haĩ tō hamārī buddhi kitnī degrade hō jātī hai . 92Jaisē jānvar buddhi ban jātē haĩ .

93You children now know that when we become body conscious, our intellects become so degraded that it is as though our intellects become like animal intellects.

93Jānvarō̃ key|kī sēvā bhī bahut achchhī hōtī hai .

94They take care of animals so well.

94Manuṣhyō̃ key|kī tō kuchh bhī nahī̃ .

95The service of human beings is nothing at all.

95Race K|kē ghōṛō̃ ādi key|kī kitnī sambhāl hōtī hai .

96Race horses are looked after so well.

96Yahā̃ K|kē manuṣhyō̃ key|kī dēkhō kyā hālat hai .

97Look at the condition of people here!

97Kuttē kō kitnā pyār sē sambhāltē haĩ . 98Chāṭtē rahtē haĩ , sāth mē̃ sulātē bhī haĩ .

98They look after dogs with so much love; they even let them lick them. 99They even let animals go to sleep with them.

99Dēkhō , duniyā kā kyā hall|hāl hō gayā hai .

100Look what the condition of the world has become.

100Vahā̃ satyug mē̃ yah dhandhā hōtā nahī̃ .

101This business does not exist there in the golden age.

101Tō bāp kahtē haĩ - bachchō̃ , tumkō māyā rāvaṇ nē unrighteous banā diyā hai .

102So, the Father says: Children, Maya, Ravan, has made you unrighteous.

102Unrighteous rājya hai nā .

103This is the unrighteous kingdom.

103Manuṣhya unrighteous tō sārī duniyā bhī unrighteous hō jātī hai .

104People are unrighteous and so the whole world becomes unrighteous.

104Righteous aur unrighteous duniyā mē̃ dēkhō phark kitnā hai  !

105Look how much difference there is between the righteous world and this unrighteous world!

105Kaliyug key|kī hālat dēkhō kyā hai  !

106Look at the condition of the iron age.

106Maĩ svarg sthāpan kar rahā hū̃ tō māyā bhī apnā svarg dikhātī hai , temptation dētī hai .

107I am establishing heaven and so Maya also shows you her heaven; she tempts you.

107Artificial dhan kitnā hai .

108There is so much artificial wealth.

108Samajhtē haĩ ham yahā̃ hī svarg mē̃ baiṭhē haĩ .

109They believe that they are sitting in heaven here.

109Svarg mē̃ thōṛēhī itnē ūñchē 100 mañjil K|kē makān ādi hōtē haĩ .

110There aren't such tall buildings of a hundred story’s in heaven.

110Kaisē-kaisē makān sajātē haĩ , vahā̃ tō double story|storey K|kē bhī makān nahī̃ hōtē .

111Look how they decorate the buildings! 112There aren't even two-storey buildings there.

111Manuṣhya hī bahut thōṛē hōtē haĩ .

113There are very few people there.

112Itnī jamīn tum kyā karē̃gē .

114What would you do with so much land?

113Yahā̃ jamīn K|kē pichhāṛī kitnā laṛtē-jhagaṛtē haĩ .

115Here, people fight and quarrel so much over land.

114Vahā̃ sārī jamīn tumhārī rahtī hai .

116There, all the land belongs to you.

115Kitnā rāt-din kā fark hai .

117There is the difference of day and night.

116Vah laukik bāp , yah pārlaukik bāp hai .

118Those are worldly fathers and this One is the parlokik Father.

117Pārlaukik bāp bachchō̃ kō kyā nahī̃ dētē haĩ .

119What does the parlokik Father not give you children?

118Ādhākalp tum bhakti kartē hō .

120You have been performing devotion for half a cycle.

119Bāp sāph kahtē haĩ insē mukti nahī̃ miltī hai arthāt mērē sē nahī̃ miltē .

121The Father tells you clearly: You don't receive liberation by doing that, that is, you cannot meet Me through that.

120Tum muktidhām mē̃ mērē sē miltē hō .

122You meet Me in the land of liberation.

121Maĩ bhī muktidhām mē̃ rahtā hū̃ . 122Tum bhī muktidhām mē̃ rahtē hō phir vahā̃ sē tum svarg mē̃ jātē hō .

123I reside in the land of liberation and you too reside in the land of liberation. 124You then go to heaven from there.

123Vahā̃ svarg mē̃ maĩ nahī̃ hōtā .

125I am not there in heaven.

124Yah bhī drama hai .

126This too is in the drama.

125Phir hūbahū aisē repeat hōgā phir yah gyān bhūl jāyēgā . 126Prāyaḥ lōp hō jāyēgā .

127It will then repeat identically. 128You will then forget this knowledge; it will disappear.

127Jab tak saṅgamyug nahī̃ āyā hai tab tak gītā kā gyān hō kaisē saktā .

129How could there be this knowledge of the Gita until the confluence age comes?

128Bākī jō bhī śhāstra ādi haĩ , vah haĩ bhakti mārg K|kē śhāstra .

130All the scriptures, etc. that exist are scriptures of the path of devotion.

129Ab tum knowledge sun rahē hō .

131You are now listening to this knowledge.

130Maĩ bījrūp , gyān kā sāgar hū̃ .

132I am the Seed, the Ocean of Knowledge.

131Tumkō kuchh bhī karnē nahī̃ dētā , pāṅw bhī paṛnē nahī̃ dētā .

133I don't allow you to do anything, not even to fall at My feet.

132Pāṅw kiskā paṛē̃gē .

134Whose feet would you fall at?

133Śhivbābā K|kē tō pāṅw haĩ nahī̃ .

135Shiv Baba doesn't have feet.

134Yah tō brahmā K|kē pāṅw paṛnā hō jāyēgā .

136That would be falling at the feet of Brahma.

135Maĩ tō tumhārā gulām hū̃ .

137I am your Slave.

136Unkō kahtē haĩ nirākārī , nirahaṅkārī , sō bhī jab vah act mē̃ āyē tab tō nirahaṅkārī kahā jāyē .

138He is said to be incorporeal and egoless. 139However, it is only when He comes here to act that He is said to be egoless.

137Bāp tumkō athāh gyān dētē haĩ .

140The Father gives you a lot of this knowledge.

138Yah hai avināśhī gyān ratnō̃ kā dān .

141This is the donation of the imperishable jewels of knowledge.

139Phir jō jitnā lēvē .

142It is then up to you as to how much you take.

140Avināśhī gyān ratna lēkar phir aurō̃ kō dān kartē jāō .

143Continue to take the imperishable jewels of knowledge and then donate them to others.

141In ratnō̃ kē liē hī kahā jātā hai - ēk-ēk ratna lākhō̃ kā hai .

144It is said of these jewels: Each jewel is worth hundreds of thousands.

142Kadam-kadam par padma dēnē vālā tō ēk hī bāp hai .

145It is only the one Father who gives you multimillions at every step.

143Service par baṛā attention chāhiē .

146You have to pay a lot of attention to doing service.

144Tumhārā kadam hai yād kī yātrā kā , unsē tum amar ban jātē hō .

147Your steps are of the pilgrimage of remembrance. 148You become immortal through that.

145Vahā̃ marnē ādi kā phikra hōtā nahī̃ . 146Ēk śharīr chhōṛ dūsrā liyā .

149There, there is no fear of dying; you shed a body and take another.

147Mōhjīt rājā kī kathā bhī sunī hōgī .

150You have heard the story of the king who conquered attachment.

148Yah tō bāp baiṭh samjhātē haĩ .

151The Father sits here and explains to you.

149Ab bāp tumkō aisā banātē haĩ , abhī key|kī hī bātē haĩ .

152The Father is now making you become like that. 153This refers to the present time.

150Rakṣhābandhan kā parv bhī manātē haĩ .

154People celebrate the Raksha Bandhan festival.

151Yah kab key|kī niśhānī hai  ?

155That is a symbol of what time?

152Kab bhagvān nē kahā ki pavitra banō  ?

156When did God say: Become pure?

153Yah manuṣhyō̃ kō kyā patā ki naī duniyā kab , purānī duniyā kab hōtī hai  ?

157What do people know of when the old world exists and when the new world exists?

154Yah bhī kiskō patā nahī̃ .

158No one knows that.

155Itnā kahtē haĩ ki abhī kaliyug hai .

159They definitely say that it is now the iron age.

156Satyug thā , abhī nahī̃ hai .

160They say that it was the golden age, but that it is not that now.

157Punarjanma kō bhī māntē haĩ .

161They also believe in rebirth.

15884 lākh kah dētē haĩ tō jarūr punarjanma huā nā .

162They speak of 8.4 million births and so that definitely means rebirth.

159Nirākār bāp kō sab yād kartē haĩ .

163Everyone remembers the incorporeal Father.

160Vah hai sab ātmāō̃ kā bāp , vahī ākar samjhātē haĩ .

168Vahā̃ phal kitnā sweet baṛē hōtē haĩ .

173The fruit there is so sweet and large.

169Phir vah sab kahā̃ chalā jātā hai  !

174Where does all of that go?

170Sweet sē nikal kaṛuvāhaṭ ā jātī hai .

175The sweetness is removed and there is bitterness instead.

171Third class bantē haĩ tō chīzē̃ bhī third class ban jātī haĩ .

176When you become third class, everything else also becomes third class.
