Essence
1 « mīṭhē bachchē - apār khuśhī va naśhē mē̃ rahnē kē liē dēh-abhimān key|kī bīmārī chhōṛ prīt buddhi banō , apnī chalan sudhārō ' '

Question
2Praśhna : kin bachchō̃ kō gyān kā ulṭā naśhā nahī̃ chaṛh saktā hai ?
3Question: Which children cannot have any wrong intoxication of this knowledge?
Answer
3Uttar : jō bāp kō yathārth jānkar yād kartē haĩ , dil sē bāp key|kī mahimā kartē haĩ , jinkā paṛhāī par pūrā dhyān hai unhē̃ gyān kā ulṭā naśhā nahī̃ chaṛh saktā .
4Answer: Those who accurately know and remember the Father, those who praise the Father from their hearts and pay full attention to this study are the children who can never have any wrong type of intoxication of this knowledge.
4Jō bāp kō sādhāraṇ samajhtē haĩ vē|way bāp kō yād kar nahī̃ saktē .
5Those who consider the Father to be ordinary are unable to remember Him.
5Yād karē̃ tō apnā samāchār bhī bāp kō avaśhya dē̃ .
6If they remembered Him, they would definitely write to Him and give Him news of themselves.
6Bachchē apnā samāchār nahī̃ dētē tō bāp kō khyāl chaltā ki bachchā kahā̃ mūrchhit tō nahī̃ hō gayā ?
7When a child doesn’t write to Baba and give Him news, the Father wonders whether that child has become unconscious.
Murli
7Ōm śhānti .
8Om shanti.
8Bāp baiṭh bachchō̃ kō samjhātē haĩ - bachchē , jab kōī nayā ātā hai tō unkō pahlē had aur bēhad , dō bāp kā parichay dō .
9The Father sits here and explains: Children, when a new person comes, first of all, give him the introduction of the two fathers, the limited and the unlimited.
9Bēhad kā bābā mānā bēhad key|kī ātmāō̃ kā bāp .
10The unlimited Father means the Father of unlimited souls.
10Vah had kā bāp , harēk jīv ātmā kā alag hai .
11Each human soul has a separate, limited father.
11Yah knowledge bhī sabhī ēkras dhāraṇ nahī̃ kar saktē .
12Not everyone will imbibe this knowledge to the same extent.
12Kōī ēk percent , kōī 95 percent dhāraṇ kartē haĩ . 13Yah tō samajh key|kī bāt hai , sūryavanśhī , chandravanśhī gharānā hōgā nā .
13Some only imbibe 1% of it, whereas others imbibe 95% of it; it is all a matter of understanding. 14There will be the sun and moon dynasties.
14Rājā , rānī tathā prajā .
15There will be the king, the queen and the subjects.
15Prajā mē̃ sabhī prakār K|kē manuṣhya hōtē haĩ .
16There will be all kinds of people as subjects.
16Prajā mānā hī prajā .
17Subjects means subjects.
17Bāp samjhātē haĩ yah paṛhāī hai , har ēk apnī buddhi anusār hī paṛhtē haĩ .
18The Father explains that this is a study that each of you studies according to your intellect.
18Har ēk kō apnā-apnā part milā huā hai .
19Each of you has received your own part to play.
19Jisnē kalp pahlē jitnī paṛhāī dhāraṇ kī hai , utnī abhī bhī kartē haĩ .
20To whatever extent you imbibed this knowledge in the previous cycle, to that extent you will imbibe it now.
20Paṛhāī kabhī chhipī nahī̃ rah saktī hai . 21Paṛhāī anusār pad bhī miltā hai .
21However much anyone studies cannot remain hidden; you receive a status according to how much you study.
22Bāp nē samjhāyā hai , āgē chal imtahān hōgā .
22The Father has explained that you will have to take an exam later on.
23Bigar imtahān K|kē transfer hō na sakē̃ .
23You cannot get transferred without taking an exam.
24Tō pichhāṛī mē̃ sab mālūm paṛēgā . 25Parantu abhī bhī samajh saktē hō ham kis pad K|kē lāyak haĩ ?
24You will come to know everything at the end, but you can understand even now what status you are worthy of receiving.
26Bhal lajjā K|kē mārē sabhī hāth uṭhā lētē haĩ parantu samajh saktē haĩ , aisē ham kaisē ban saktē haĩ !
25Although you all raise your hands out of embarrassment, each of you can understand whether you could possibly become that.
27Phir bhī hāth uṭhā dētē haĩ .
26Nevertheless, some of you raise your hands.
28Yah bhī agyān hī kahē̃gē .
27This is called ignorance.
29Bāp tō jhaṭ samajh jātē haĩ ki issē tō jāstī akla laukik student mē̃ hōtā hai .
28The Father very quickly understands that worldly students have more sense than you do.
30Vah samajhtē haĩ ham scholarship lēnē lāyak nahī̃ haĩ , pās|pass nahī̃ hōṅgē .
29They know when they’re unworthy of receiving a scholarship, that they won’t pass.
31Vah samajhtē haĩ , teacher jō paṛhātē haĩ usmē̃ ham kitnē marks lē̃gē ?
30They’re able to understand how many marks they will receive in whatever subject the teacher teaches them.
32Aisē thōṛēhī kahē̃gē ki ham pass with honour hōṅgē .
31They wouldn’t say that they will pass with honours.
33Yahā̃ tō kaī bachchō̃ mē̃ itnī bhī akla nahī̃ hai , dēh-abhimān bahut hai .
32Here, some of you children don’t even have this much sense. 33You have a great deal of body consciousness.
34Bhal āyē haĩ yah ( dēvtā ) bannē kē liē parantu aisī chalan bhī tō chāhiē .
34You have come here to become like them (the deities). 35Therefore, your behaviour also has to be like theirs.
35Bāp kahtē haĩ vināśh kālē viparīt buddhi kyōṅki kāydēsir bāp sē prīt nahī̃ hai .
36The Father says: There are those whose intellects have no love for the Father at the time of destruction because they do not love the Father accurately.
36Bāp tum bachchō̃ kō samjhātē haĩ ki vināśh kālē viparīt buddhi kā yathārth arth|earth kyā hai ?
37The Father has explained to you children the accurate meaning of having an intellect that has no love at the time of destruction.
37Bachchē hī pūrā nahī̃ samajh saktē haĩ tō phir vah kyā samajhē̃gē ?
38If even you children are unable to understand this fully, what would others understand?
38Bāp kō yād karnā - yah tō huī gupta bāt . 39Paṛhāī tō gupta nahī̃ hai nā .
39To remember the Father is an incognito matter, but how much you study is not incognito.
40Paṛhāī mē̃ number-vār hōtē haĩ . 41Ēk jaisā thōṛēhī paṛhē̃gē .
40All of you are numberwise in studying; you do not all study to the same extent.
42Bābā samajhtē haĩ abhī tō baby haĩ .
41Baba understands that some of you are still babies.
43Aisē bēhad K|kē bāp kō tīn-tīn , chār-chār mās yād bhī nahī̃ kartē haĩ .
42Sometimes, you don’t even remember such an unlimited Father for three or four months.
44Mālūm kaisē paṛē ki yād kartē haĩ ? 45Bāp kō patra tak nahī̃ likhtē ki bābā maĩ kaisē-kaisē chal rahā hū̃ , kyā-kyā service kartā hū̃ ?
43How could Baba know that you are remembering Him if you don’t even write a letter to the Father telling Him how you are progressing and what service you are doing?
46Bāp kō bachchō̃ key|kī kitnī phikra rahtī hai ki kahā̃ bachchā mūrchhit tō nahī̃ hō gayā hai , kahā̃ bachchā mar tō nahī̃ gayā ?
44The Father has so much concern for you children. 45He wonders: Has that child become unconscious? 46Has that child died?
47Kōī tō bābā kō kitnā achchhā-achchhā service samāchār likhtē haĩ . 48Bāp bhī samajhtē , bachchā jītā hai .
47Some write wonderful service news to Baba, in which case the Father understands that those children are still alive.
49Service karnē vālē bachchē kabhī chhip nahī̃ saktē .
48Serviceable children can never remain hidden.
50Bāp tō her|har bachchē kā dil lētē haĩ ki kaun-sā bachchā kaisā hai ?
49The Father wins the heart of each one of you children. 50He knows what each of you is like.
51Dēh-abhimān key|kī bīmārī bahut kaṛī hai .
51The illness of body consciousness is very severe.
52Bābā murlī mē̃ samjhātē haĩ , kaiyō̃ kō tō gyān kā ulṭā naśhā chaṛh jātā hai , ahaṅkār ā jātā hai phir yād bhī nahī̃ kartē , patra bhī nahī̃ likhtē .
52Baba explains in the murli that some have wrong intoxication of this knowledge; they have arrogance. 53Such children neither remember Baba nor even write a letter to Him.
53Tō bāp bhī yād kaisē karē̃gē ?
54How can the Father then remember you?
54Yād sē yād miltī hai .
55Remembrance attracts remembrance.
55Abhī tum bachchē bāp kō yathārth jānkar yād kartē hō , dil sē mahimā kartē hō .
56You children now remember the Father whilst knowing Him accurately. 57You sing His praise from your hearts.
56Kaī bachchē bāp kō sādhāraṇ samajhtē haĩ isliē yād nahī̃ kartē .
58Some of you children consider the Father to be ordinary and so you don’t remember Him.
57Bābā kōī bhabhkā ādi thōṛēhī dikhāyēgā .
59Baba doesn’t display any great pomp, etc.
58Bhagavānu-vāch , maĩ tumhē̃ viśhva key|kī rājāī dēnē kē liē rājyōg sikhlātā hū̃ .
60God speaks: I teach you Raja Yoga in order for you to attain the sovereignty of the world.
59Tum aisē thōṛēhī samajhtē hō ki ham viśhva kī bādśhāhī lēnē kē liē bēhad K|kē bāp sē paṛhtē haĩ .
61However, you don’t seem to realise that you are studying with the unlimited Father in order to claim the sovereignty of the world.
60Yah naśhā hō tō apār khuśhī kā pārā sadā chaṛhā rahē .
62If you had this intoxication, your mercury of unlimited happiness would always remain high.
61Gītā paṛhnē vālē bhal kahtē haĩ - śhrīkr̥iṣhṇa bhagvānuvāch , maĩ rājyōg sikhlātā hū̃ , bas . 62Unhē̃ rājāī pānē key|kī khuśhī thōṛēhī rahēgī .
63Those who study the Gita say that Shri Krishna spoke the words: “I teach you Raja Yoga”, but they wouldn't have the happiness of attaining a kingdom.
63Gītā paṛhkar pūrī key|kī aur gayē apnē-apnē dhandhēdhōrī mē̃ .
64When they finish studying the Gita, they go to their businesses.
64Tumkō tō abhī buddhi mē̃ hai ki hamkō bēhad kā bāp paṛhātē haĩ .
65It is now in your intellects that the unlimited Father is teaching you.
65Unhē̃ aisā buddhi mē̃ nahī̃ āyēgā .
66This would not enter their intellects.
66Tō pahlē-pahlē kōī bhī āyē tō unkō dō bāp kā parichay dēnā hai .
67Therefore, you must first of all give the introduction of the two fathers to anyone who comes.
67Bōlō bhārat svarg thā , abhī nark hai .
68Tell them: Bharat was once heaven, but it is now hell.
68Yah kaliyug hai , isē svarg thōṛēhī kahē̃gē .
69This is now the iron age. 70It would hardly be called heaven!
69Aisē tō nahī̃ kahē̃gē ki satyug mē̃ bhī haĩ , kaliyug mē̃ bhī haĩ .
71You can’t claim to be in both the golden age and the iron age at the same time.
70Kiskō duḥkh milā tō kahē̃gē nark mē̃ haĩ , kiskō sukh hai tō kahē̃gē svarg mē̃ haĩ .
72When someone receives sorrow, he would say that he is in hell, whereas when someone experiences happiness, he would say that he is in heaven.
71Aisē bahut kahtē haĩ - duḥkhī manuṣhya nark mē̃ haĩ , ham tō bahut sukh mē̃ baiṭhē haĩ , mahal māṛiyā̃ , mōṭarē̃ ādi haĩ , samajhtē haĩ ham tō svarg mē̃ haĩ . 72Golden age , iron age ēk hī bāt hai .
73There are many who say this. 74Those who experience a lot of sorrow are in hell, whereas we now experience a lot of happiness. 75Because some people have palaces and motors, etc., they think that they’re in heaven and that, whether it is the golden age or the iron age, it’s all the same to them.
73Tō pahlē-pahlē dō bāp key|kī bāt buddhi mē̃ biṭhānī hai .
76Therefore, you first of all have to make the aspect of the two fathers sit in their intellects.
74Bāp hī khud apnī pahchān dētē haĩ .
77The Father, Himself, gives you His own introduction.
75Vah sarvavyāpī kaisē hō saktā hai ?
78How could He be omnipresent?
76Kyā laukik bāp kō sarvavyāpī kahē̃gē ?
79Would you call your physical fathers omnipresent?
77Abhī tum chitra mē̃ dikhātē hō ātmā aur paramātmā kā rūp tō ēk hī hai , usmē̃ fark nahī̃ .
80They can see in the pictures you show them that the form of a soul and the form of the Supreme Soul are identical; there’s no difference between them.
78Ātmā aur paramātmā kōī chhōṭā-baṛā nahī̃ .
81A soul is no larger or smaller than the Supreme Soul.
79Sabhī ātmāyē̃ haĩ , vah bhī ātmā hai .
82Each one is a soul; He too is a soul.
80Vah sadā paramdhām mē̃ rahtē haĩ isliē unhē̃ param ātmā kahā jātā hai .
83He constantly resides in the supreme abode and so He is called the Supreme Soul.
81Sirph tum ātmāyē̃ jaisē ātī hō vaisē maĩ nahī̃ ātā .
84I do not come into this world like all of you souls do.
82Maĩ ant mē̃ is tan mē̃ ākar pravēśh kartā hū̃ .
85I just come at the end and enter this body.
83Yah bātē̃ kōī bāhar kā samajh na sakē . 84Bāt baṛī sahaj hai .
86Although these things are very easy to understand, outsiders can’t understand them.
85Fark sirph itnā hai jō bāp kē badlē vaikuṇṭhvāsī śhrīkr̥iṣhṇa kā nām ḍāl diyā hai .
87The only difference is that they have replaced the name of the Father with the name of Shri Krishna, a resident of Vaikunth (Paradise).
86Kyā śhrīkr̥iṣhṇa nē vaikuṇṭha sē nark mē̃ ākar rājyōg sikhāyā ?
88How could Shri Krishna come from Vaikunth, heaven, into hell and teach you Raja Yoga?
87Śhrīkr̥iṣhṇa kaisē kah saktā hai dēh sahit … māmēkam yād karō .
89How could Shri Krishna say, "Forget your body, including your bodily relations, and remember me alone!"
88Dēhdhārī key|kī yād sē pāp kaisē kaṭē̃gē ?
90How could your sins be cut away by having remembrance of a bodily being?
89Śhrīkr̥iṣhṇa tō ēk chhōṭā bachchā aur kahā̃ maĩ sādhāraṇ manuṣhya K|kē vr̥iddha tan mē̃ ātā hū̃ .
91Shri Krishna was just a small child. 92Just look at the contrast between him and Myself when I enter the old body of an ordinary human being.
90Kitnā fark hō gayā hai .
93There is so much difference.
91Is ēkaz bhūl K|kē kāraṇ sabhī manuṣhya patit , kaṅgāl ban gayē haĩ .
94Due to this one mistake, every human being has become impure and poverty-stricken.
92Na maĩ sarvavyāpī hū̃ , na śhrīkr̥iṣhṇa sarvavyāpī hai .
95Neither am I omnipresent nor is Shri Krishna omnipresent.
93Her|har śharīr mē̃ ātmā sarvavyāpī hai .
96A soul is omnipresent in each body.
94Mujhē tō apnā śharīr bhī nahī̃ hai .
97I do not even have a body of My own.
95Her|har ātmā kō apnā-apnā śharīr hai .
98Each soul has his own body.
96Nām har ēk śharīr par alag-alag paṛtā hai .
99Each body is given a different name.
97Na mujhē śharīr hai aur na mērē śharīr kā kōī nām hai .
100Neither do I have a body, nor is a bodily name given to Me.
98Maĩ tō būṛhā śharīr lētā hū̃ tō iskā nām badalkar brahmā rakhā hai .
101I take this old body and change his name to Brahma.
99Mērā tō brahmā nām nahī̃ hai .
102Brahma is not My name.
100Mujhē sadā śhiv hī kahtē haĩ .
103I am eternally Shiva.
101Maĩ hī sarv kā sadgati dātā hū̃ .
104I alone am the Bestower of Salvation for All.
102Ātmā kō sarv kā sadgati dātā nahī̃ kahē̃gē .
105It is not souls who are called the Bestower of Salvation for All.
103Paramātmā key|kī kabhī durgati hōtī hai kyā ?
106Does the Supreme Soul ever become degraded?
104Ātmā key|kī hī durgati aur ātmā key|kī hī sadgati hōtī hai .
107Only souls become degraded and only souls receive salvation from the Father.
105Yah sabhī bātē̃ vichār sāgar manthan karnē kī haĩ .
108You must churn the ocean of this knowledge and think about all of these things.
106Nahī̃ tō dūsrō̃ kō kaisē samjhāyēṅgē .
109Otherwise, how would you be able to explain them to others?
107Parantu māyā aisī dustar hai jō bachchō̃ key|kī buddhi āgē nahī̃ baṛhnē dētī .
110However, Maya is so powerful that she doesn’t let the intellects of you children progress.
108Din bhar jharmuī jhagmuī mē̃ hī time west|waste kar dētē haĩ .
111Some of you waste time gossiping throughout the day.
109Bāp sē pichhāṛnē kē liē māyā kitnā force kartī hai .
112In order to pull you away from the Father, Maya exerts great force on you.
110Phir kaī bachchē tō ṭūṭ paṛtē haĩ .
113Some children break away.
111Bāp kō yād na karnē sē avasthā achal-aḍōl nahī̃ ban pātī .
114Because they don’t remember the Father, their stage doesn’t become unshakeable or immovable.
112Bāp ghaṛī-ghaṛī khaṛā kartē , māyā girā dētī .
115The Father raises you up again and again, and then Maya continues to knock you down.
113Bāp kahtē kabhī hār nahī̃ khānī hai .
116The Father says: You must never be defeated.
114Kalp-kalp aisā hōtā hai , kōī naī bāt nahī̃ .
117This match happens every cycle; it is nothing new.
115Māyājīt ant mē̃ ban hī jāyēṅgē .
118You will definitely become conquerors of Maya by the end.
116Rāvaṇ rājya khalās tō hōnā hī hai . 117Phir ham naī duniyā mē̃ rājya karē̃gē .
119Ravan’s kingdom has to end and we will then rule in a new world.
118Kalp-kalp māyā jīt banē haĩ .
120We have become conquerors of Maya every cycle.
119Anginat bār naī duniyā mē̃ rājya kiyā hai .
121We have ruled in a new world countless times.
120Bāp kahtē haĩ buddhi kō sadā busy rakhō tō sadā safe rahē̃gē .
122The Father says: Keep your intellects constantly busy and you will remain constantly safe.
121Iskō hī svadarśhan chakradhārī kahā jātā hai .
123This is what is known as being a spinner of the discus of self-realisation.
122Bākī ismē̃ hiṅsā ādi key|kī bāt nahī̃ hai .
124There is no question of violence in this.
123Brāhmaṇ hī svadarśhan chakradhārī hōtē haĩ .
125Only you Brahmins can be called spinners of the discus of self-realisation.
124Dēvtāō̃ kō svadarśhan chakradhārī nahī̃ kahē̃gē .
126Deities cannot be called spinners of the discus of self-realisation.
125Patit duniyā key|kī rasm-rivāj aur dēvī-dēvatāō̃ key|kī rasm-rivāj mē̃ bahut antar hai .
127There is a great difference between the customs and systems of this impure world and those of the deities.
126Mr̥ityulōk vālē hī patit-pāvan bāp kō bulātē haĩ , ham patitō̃ kō ākar pāvan banāō .
128It is the residents of the land of death who call out to the Purifier Father: Come and purify us impure ones!
127Pāvan duniyā mē̃ lē chalō .
129Take us to the pure world!
128Tumhārī buddhi mē̃ hai āj sē 5 hazār varṣh pahlē naī pāvan duniyā thī , jiskō satyug kahā jātā hai .
130It is in your intellects that, 5000 years before today, there used to be a pure, new world which was called the golden age.
129Trētā kō naī duniyā nahī̃ kahē̃gē .
131The silver age wouldn’t be called a new world.
130Bāp nē samjhāyā hai - vah hai first class , vah hai second class .
132The Father has explained that that is first class and the other is second class.
131Ēk-ēk bāt achchhī rīti dhāraṇ karnī chāhiē jō kōī ākar sunē tō wonder khāyē .
133You should imbibe every aspect very well, so that anyone who comes and listens to you becomes amazed.
132Kōī-kōī wonder bhī khātē haĩ , parantu phursat nahī̃ jō purūṣhārth karē̃ . 133Phir suntē haĩ pavitra jarūr bannā hai .
134There are many who become amazed, but they do not have the time to make effort because they have heard that they definitely have to remain pure.
134Yah kām vikār hī manuṣhya kō patit banātā hai , unkō jītnē sē tum jagatjīt banē̃gē .
135It is the vice of lust that makes human beings impure. 136By conquering it, you become conquerors of the world.
135Parantu kām vikār unhō̃ key|kī jaisē pūṅjī hai , isliē vah akṣhar nahī̃ bōltē haĩ .
137However, it is as though vice is a treasure for them and this is why they don't even speak of it.
136Sirph kahtē haĩ man kō vaśh mē̃ karō .
138They simply say that you must control your mind.
137Lēkin man aman tab hō jab śharīr mē̃ nahī̃ hō .
139Only when your mind is not in a body can it become free from thoughts.
138Bākī man aman tō kabhī hōtā hī nahī̃ .
140Your mind cannot become free from thoughts otherwise.
139Dēh miltī hai karma karnē kē liē tō phir karmātīt avasthā mē̃ kaisē rahē̃gē ?
141You receive a body in order to act. 142Therefore, how could you stay in the karmateet stage?
140Karmātīt avasthā kahā jātā hai murdē kō .
143The karmateet stage is said to be the stage of a corpse.
141Jītē jī murdā athavā śharīr sē detach .
