Essence

1 «  mīṭhē bachchē - apnē ūpar rahm karō , bāp jō mat dētē haĩ us par chalō tō apār khuśhī rahēgī , māyā K|kē śhrāp sē bachē rahē̃gē ' '

1Essence: Sweet children, have mercy for yourselves. 2Follow the directions that the Father gives you and you will have limitless happiness and be saved from Maya's curse.

Question

2Praśhna  : māyā kā śhrāp kyō̃ lagtā hai  ?

3Question: Why do you become cursed by Maya?

3Śhrāpit ātmā key|kī gati kyā hōgī  ?

4What is the state of a cursed soul?

Answer

5Answer: 1) If you become disrespectful to the Father and disregard this study (the jewels of knowledge) and follow your own dictates, you become cursed by Maya. 6 2) If your behaviour is devilish and you don't imbibe divine virtues, you are being merciless towards yourselves.

5Buddhi kō tālā lag jātā hai .

7Your intellect gets locked.

6Vah bāp key|kī dil par chaṛh nahī̃ saktē .

8Such children are not able to climb on to the Father's heart throne.

Murli

7Ōm śhānti .

9Om shanti.

8Rūhānī bachchō̃ kō yah tō ab niśhchay hai ki hamkō ātma-abhimānī bannā hai aur bāp kō yād karnā hai .

10You spiritual children have the faith that you now have to become soul conscious and remember the Father.

9Māyā rūpī rāvaṇ jō hai vah śhrāpit , duḥkhī banā dētā hai .

11Maya, Ravan, curses you and makes you unhappy.

10Śhrāp akṣhar hī duḥkh kā hai , varsā akṣhar sukh kā hai .

12“Curse” is a word of sorrow, and “inheritance” is one of happiness.

11Jō bachchē vaphādār , pharmānbardār haĩ , vah achchhī rīti jāntē haĩ .

13The faithful and obedient children understand this very well.

12Jō nāpharmānbardār hai , vah bachchā hai nahī̃ .

14Those who are disobedient are not the Father's children.

13Bhal apnē kō kuchh bhī samajhē̃ parantu bāp key|kī dil par chaṛh nahī̃ saktē , varsā pā nahī̃ saktē .

15No matter what they consider themselves to be, they are unable to climb on to the Father's heart throne; they are unable to claim the inheritance.

14Jō māyā K|kē kahnē par chaltē aur bāp kō yād bhī nahī̃ kartē , kiskō samjhā nahī̃ saktē . 15Gōyā apnē kō āpēhī śhrāpit kartē haĩ .

16Those who obey Maya and do not remember the Father are unable to explain to others; they curse themselves.

16Bachchē jāntē haĩ māyā baṛī jabardast hai .

17You children know that Maya is very powerful.

17Agar bēhad K|kē bāp key|kī bhī nahī̃ māntē haĩ tō gōyā māyā key|kī māntē haĩ . 18Māyā K|kē vaśh hō jātē haĩ .

18If you do not obey the unlimited Father, it means that you are obeying Maya; you become influenced by Maya.

19Kahāvat hai nā - prabhū key|kī āgyā sir māthē .

19There is the saying: “God's instructions are to be placed on your head and accepted with love.”

20Tō bāp kahtē haĩ bachchē , puruṣhārth kar bāp kō yād karō tō māyā key|kī gōd sē nikal prabhū key|kī gōd mē̃ ā jāyēṅgē .

20This is why the Father says: Children, make effort to remember Me! 21You will then be able to leave Maya's lap and come into God's lap.

21Bāp tō buddhivānō̃ kā buddhivān hai .

22The Father is the Intellect of the Wise.

22Bāp key|kī nahī̃ mānē̃gē tō buddhi kō tālā lag jāyēgā .

23If you do not listen to the Father, your intellects become locked.

23Tālā khōlnē vālā ēk hī bāp hai .

24Only the one Father can open those locks.

24Śhrīmat par nahī̃ chaltē tō unkā kyā hall|hāl hōgā .

25What would the stateof those who do not follow shrimat be?

25Māyā key|kī mat par kuchh bhī pad pā nahī̃ sakē̃gē .

26By following the dictates of Maya, you will be unable to claim any status.

26Bhal suntē haĩ parantu dhārṇā nahī̃ kar saktē haĩ , na karā saktē tō uskā kyā hall|hāl hōgā  !

27Even though you listen to this knowledge, you will neither be able to imbibe it yourself nor inspire others to imbibe it. 28Therefore, what would your state become like?

27Bāp tō garīb nivāz haĩ .

29The Father is the Lord of the Poor.

28Manuṣhya garībō̃ kō dān kartē haĩ tō bāp bhī ākar kitnā bēhad kā dān kartē haĩ .

30People donate to the poor. 31The Father too comes and gives unlimited donations.

29Agar śhrīmat par nahī̃ chaltē tō ēkdam buddhi kō tālā lag jātā hai .

32If you do not follow shrimat, your intellects become totally locked.

30Phir kyā prāpti karē̃gē  !

33What would you then attain?

31Śhrīmat par chalnē vālē hī bāp K|kē bachchē ṭhaharē .

34Only those who follow shrimat are the Father's children.

32Bāp tō merciful hai .

35The Father is merciful.

33Samajhtē haĩ bāhar jātē hī māyā ēkdam khatm kar dēgī .

36He understands that Maya will completely finish you as soon as you leave here.

34Kōī āpghāt kartē haĩ tō bhī apnī satyānāśh kartē haĩ .

37Someone who commits suicide destroys himself.

35Bāp tō samjhātē rahtē haĩ - apnē par rahm karō , śhrīmat par chalō , apnī mat par nahī̃ chalō .

38The Father continues to explain: Have mercy for yourselves. 39Follow shrimat, not your own dictates.

36Śhrīmat par chalnē sē khuśhī kā pārā chaṛhēgā .

40By following shrimat, your mercury of happiness will rise.

37Lakṣhmī-nārāyaṇ key|kī śhakla dēkhō kaisī khuśhnumaḥ hai .

41Look at the faces of Lakshmi and Narayan; they are so cheerful.

38Tō puruṣhārth kar aisā ūñch pad pānā chāhiē nā .

42Make effort to claim as high a status as theirs!

39Bāp avināśhī gyān ratna dētē haĩ tō unkā nirādar kyō̃ karnā chāhiē  !

43The Father gives you the imperishable jewels of this knowledge and so why should you disregard them?

40Ratnō̃ sē jhōlī bharnī chāhiē .

44Fill your aprons with these jewels.

41Suntē tō haĩ parantu jhōlī nahī̃ bhartē kyōṅki bāp kō yād nahī̃ kartē . 42Āsurī chalan chaltē haĩ .

45Although you listen, some of you are unable to fill your aprons, because you do not remember the Father and your behaviour is devilish.

43Bāp bār-bār samjhātē rahtē haĩ - apnē par rahm karō , daivīguṇ dhāraṇ karō .

46The Father repeatedly tells you: Have mercy for yourselves. 47Imbibe divine virtues.

44Vah hai hī āsurī sampradāy .

48This is now a devilish community.

45Unkō bāp ākar paristānī banātē haĩ .

49The Father has come to change it into a land of angels.

46Paristān svarg kō kahā jātā hai .

50Heaven is that land of angels.

47Manuṣhya kitnā dhakkā khātē rahtē haĩ .

51People stumble around so much here.

48Sannyāsiyō̃ ādi kē pās jātē haĩ , samajhtē haĩ man kō śhānti milēgī .

52They go to sannyasis, etc., because they believe that they will receive peace of mind from them.

49Vāstav mē̃ yah akṣhar hī wrong hai , inkā kōī arth|earth nahī̃ .

53In fact, these words are wrong; they have no meaning.

50Śhānti tō ātmā kō chāhiē nā .

54It is souls that want peace.

51Ātmā svayã śhānt svarūp hai .

55Souls themselves have the form of peace.

52Aisē bhī nahī̃ kahtē ki ātmā kō kaisē śhānti milē  ?

56They don't ask: “How can the soul have peace?”

53Kahtē haĩ man kō śhānti kaisē milē  ?

57Instead, they ask: “How can the mind have peace?”

54Ab man kyā hai , buddhi kyā hai , ātmā kyā hai , kuchh bhī jāntē nahī̃ .

58However, they neither know what the mind and intellect are, nor what the soul is; they don't know anything.

55Jō kuchh kahtē athavā kartē haĩ vah sab hai bhakti mārg .

59Whatever they do or say, it all belongs to the path of devotion.

56Bhakti mārg vālē sīṛhī nīchē utartē-utartē tamōpradhān bantē jātē haĩ .

60Those on the path of devotion continue to come down the ladder and continue to become tamopradhan.

57Bhal kiskō bahut dhan , property ādi hai parantu haĩ tō phir bhī rāvaṇ rājya mē̃ nā .

61Although someone may have a lot of wealth and property, etc; he is still now in the kingdom of Ravan.

58Tum bachchō̃ kō chitrō̃ par samjhānē key|kī bhī bahut achchhī practice karnī hai .

62You children have to practise explaining very well using these pictures.

59Bāp sab centres K|kē bachchō̃ kō samjhātē rahtē haĩ , number-vār tō haĩ nā .

63The Father continues to explain to the children at all the centres. 64However, all are numberwise.

60Kaī bachchē rājāī pad pānē kā puruṣhārth nahī̃ kartē tō prajā mē̃ kyā jākar banē̃gē  !

65Some children make no effort to claim the status of a king. 66So, what will they become among the subjects?

61Service nahī̃ kartē , apnē par taras nahī̃ ātā hai ki ham kyā banē̃gē phir samjhā jātā hai drama mē̃ inkā part itnā hai .

67They don't do service and don't have mercy for themselves to fix their status. 68It is then understood that their parts in the drama are only that much.

62Apnā kalyāṇ karnē kē liē gyān K|kē sāth-sāth yōg bhī hō .

69In order to benefit yourselves, as well as studying this knowledge, you also have to have yoga.

63Yōg mē̃ nahī̃ rahtē tō kuchh bhī kalyāṇ nahī̃ hōtā .

70If you do not stay in yoga, there is no benefit.

64Yōg bigar pāvan ban nahī̃ saktē .

71You cannot become pure without having yoga.

65Gyān tō bahut sahaj hai parantu apnā kalyāṇ bhī karnā hai .

72This knowledge is very easy, but you also have to benefit yourself.

66Yōg mē̃ na rahnē sē kuchh bhī kalyāṇ hōtā nahī̃ .

73By not staying in yoga, you are unable to benefit yourselves at all.

67Yōg bigar pāvan kaisē banē̃gē  ?

74How can you become pure unless you have yoga?

68Gyān alag chīz hai , yōg alag chīz hai .

75This knowledge is distinct from yoga.

69Yōg mē̃ bahut kachchē haĩ .

76Many children are very weak in yoga.

70Yād karnē kā akla hī nahī̃ ātā .

77They don't have the sense to stay in remembrance.

71Tō yād bigar vikarma kaisē vināśh hō̃ .

78How can their sins be absolved without them having remembrance?

72Phir sajā bahut khānī paṛtī hai , bahut pachhtānā paṛtā hai .

79A great deal of punishment will have to be experienced and there will also be a lot of repentance.

73Vah sthūl kamāī nahī̃ kartē tō kōī sajā nahī̃ khātē haĩ , ismē̃ tō pāpō̃ kā bōjhā sir par hai , uskī bahut sajā khānī paṛē .

80Those who don't earn a physical income don't experience punishment for that, but there is a burden of sins on your heads because of this. 81A lot of punishment has to be experienced for it.

74Bachchē bankar aur bēadab hōtē haĩ tō bahut sajā mil jātī hai .

82If, after becoming Baba's children, you are disrespectful, you receive a lot of punishment.

75Bāp tō kahtē haĩ - apnē par rahm karō , yōg mē̃ rahō .

83The Father says: Have mercy for yourselves and stay in yoga.

76Nahī̃ tō mupht apnā ghāt kartē haĩ .

84Otherwise, you will commit suicide unnecessarily.

77Jaisē kōī ūpar sē girtā hai , marā nahī̃ tō hospital mē̃ paṛā rahēgā , chillātā rahēgā .

85It is just the same as when someone falls from a height and doesn't die but just lies in a hospital. 86He continues to cry.

78Nāhēk apnē kō dhakkā diyā , marā nahī̃ , bākī kyā kām kā rahā .

87"I jumped for no use." 88He didn't die, and so of what use is he?

79Yahā̃ bhī aisē hai .

89It is the same here.

80Chaṛhnā hai bahut ūñchā .

90You have to climb very high.

81Śhrīmat par nahī̃ chaltē haĩ tō gir paṛtē haĩ .

91If you do not follow shrimat, you fall.

82Āgē chal har ēk apnē pad kō dēkh lē̃gē ki ham kyā bantē haĩ  ?

92As you make progress, each one of you will be able to see what your status will be and what you will become.

83Jō serviceable , āgyākārī hōṅgē , vahī ūñch pad pāyēṅgē .

93Those who are serviceable and obedient claim a high status.

84Nahī̃ tō dās-dāsī ādi jākar banē̃gē .

94Otherwise, they become maids and servants.

85Phir sajā bhī bahut kaṛī milēgī .

95Very severe punishment is received.

86Us samay dōnō̃ jaisē dharmarāj kā rūp ban jātē haĩ .

96At that time, both take the form of Dharamraj.

87Parantu bachchē samajhtē nahī̃ haĩ , bhūlē̃ kartē rahtē haĩ .

97However, some children understand nothing of this and continue to make mistakes.

88Sajā tō yahā̃ khānī paṛēgī nā .

98Punishment has to be experienced here.

89Jitnā jō service karē̃gē , śhōbhē̃gē .

99The more service you do, the more useful you are.

90Nahī̃ tō kōī kām K|kē nahī̃ rahē̃gē .

100Otherwise, you are of no use.

91Bāp kahtē haĩ dūsrō̃ kā kalyāṇ nahī̃ kar saktē hō tō apnā kalyāṇ tō karō .

101The Father says: If you are unable to benefit others, at least benefit yourselves!

92Bāndhēliyā̃ bhī apnā kalyāṇ kartī rahtī haĩ .

102Even mothers in bondage continue to benefit themselves.

93Bāp phir bhī bachchō̃ kō kahtē haĩ khabardār rahō .

103Nevertheless, the Father tells you children to remain cautious.

94Nām-rūp mē̃ phansnē sē māyā bahut dhōkhā dētī hai .

104When you become trapped in someone's name and form, you are very much deceived by Maya.

95Kahtē haĩ bābā phalānī kō dēkhnē sē hamkō kharāb saṅkalp chaltē haĩ .

105Some tell Baba that, when they look at someone, they have bad thoughts.

96Bāp samjhātē haĩ - karmēndriyō̃ sē kabhī bhī kharāb kām nahī̃ karnā hai .

106The Father explains: Never perform bad acts through your physical organs.

97Kōī bhī gandā ādmī jiskī chalan ṭhīk na hō tō centre par unkō ānē nahī̃ dēnā hai .

107If a person with impure vision or of bad character comes to your centre, do not allow him to enter.

98School mē̃ kōī badchalan chaltē haĩ tō bahut mār khātē haĩ .

108If someone behaves badly at school, he is beaten a lot.

99Teacher sabkē āgē batlātē haĩ , isnē aisē badchalan kī hai , isliē inkō school sē nikālā jātā hai .

109The teacher would tell everyone how badly he behaved and that was why he was expelled from school.

100Tumhārē centres par bhī aisī gandī dr̥iṣhṭi vālē ātē haĩ , tō unkō bhagā dēnā chāhiē .

110If anyone with evil vision comes to your centre, chase him away.

101Bāp kahtē haĩ kabhī kudr̥iṣhṭi nahī̃ rahnī chāhiē .

111The Father says: You must never have impure vision.

102Service nahī kartē , bāp kō yād nahī̃ kartē tō jarūr kuchh na kuchh gandgī hai .

112If you don't do service and don't remember the Father, there must definitely be some impurity.

103Jō achchhī service kartē haĩ , unkā nām bhī bālā hōtā hai .

113The names of those who do service well are glorified.

104Thōṛā bhī saṅkalp āyē , kudr̥iṣhṭi jāyē tō samajhnā chāhiē māyā kā war|vār hōtā hai .

114If you have even the slightest bad thought, or you look at someone in abad way even slightly, understand that you are being attacked by Maya.

105Ēkdam chhōṛ dēnā chāhiē .

115You have to stop doing that completely.

106Nahī̃ tō vr̥iddhi kō pāē nuksān kar dēgē .

116Otherwise, it will increase and cause a lot of damage.

107Bāp kō yād karē̃gē tō bachtē rahē̃gē .

117Remember the Father and you will remain safe.

108Bābā sab bachchō̃ kō sāvdhān kartē haĩ - khabardār rahō , kahā̃ apnē kul kā nām badnām nahī̃ karō .

118Baba cautions all of you children: Be cautious that you do not dishonour the name of your clan.

109Kōī gandharvī vivāh kar ikaṭṭhē rahtē haĩ tō kitnā nām bālā kartē haĩ , kōī phir gandē ban paṛtē haĩ .

119When some get married in name only and live together, they glorify Baba’s name so much. 120However, others become dirty.

110Yahā̃ tum āyē hō apnī sadgati karnē , na ki burī gati karnē .

121You have come here to attain salvation, not to put yourself into a bad state.

111Burē tē burā hai kām , phir krōdh .

122The worst vice of all is lust and next is anger.

112Ātē haĩ bāp sē varsā lēnē liē parantu māyā war|vār kar śhrāp dē dētī hai tō ēkdam gir paṛtē haĩ .

123You come here to claim your inheritance from the Father but, instead of that, Maya attacks you and you become cursed. 124You then fall completely.

113Gōyā apnē kō śhrāp dē dētē haĩ .

125It means that you curse yourself.

114Tō bāp samjhātē haĩ baṛī sambhāl rakhnī hai , kōī aisā āyē tō unkō ēkdam ravānā kar dēnā chāhiē .

126Therefore, the Father explains: You have to be very cautious. 127If any such person comes, send him away immediately.

115Dikhātē bhī haĩ nā - amr̥it pīnē āyē phir bāhar jākar asur ban ganda kiyā .

128It is shown (in the scriptures) that some came to drink nectar but, as soon as they left, they became devils and performed dirty acts.

116Vah phir yah gyān sunā na sakē̃ .

129They cannot then speak about this knowledge to anyone.

117Tālā band hō jātā hai .

130It is as though the locks on their intellects close.

118Bāp kahtē haĩ apnī service par hī tatpar rahnā chāhiē .

131The Father says: Remain busy doing service.

119Bāp kī yād mē̃ rahtē-rahtē pichhāṛī kō chalē jānā hai ghar .

132By continually staying in remembrance of the Father, you will finally return home.

120Gīt bhī hai nā - rāt K|kē rāhī thak mat jānā … ātmā kō ghar jānā hai .

133There is the song: “O traveller of the night, do not become weary!” 134Souls have to go home.

121Ātmā hī rāhī hai .

135Souls are the travellers.

122Ātmā kō rōz samjhāyā jātā hai ab tum śhāntidhām jānē K|kē rāhī hō .

136You souls are told every day that you are the travellers who are now going to the land of silence.

123Tō ab bāp kō , ghar kō aur varsē kō yād kartē rahō .

137Therefore, continue to remember the Father, your home and your inheritance.

124Apnē kō dēkhnā hai māyā kahā̃ dhōkhā tō nahī̃ dētī hai  ?

138Each of you has to examine yourself to see whether Maya is deceiving you in any way.

125Maĩ apnē bāp kō yād kartā hū̃  ?

139“Do I remember My Father?"

126Ūñch tē ūñch bāp key|kī taraph hī dr̥iṣhṭi rahē - yah hai bahut ūñch puruṣhārth .

140To keep your vision on the highest-on-high Father is the most elevated effort you can make.

127Bāp kahtē haĩ - bachchē , kudr̥iṣhṭi chhōṛ dō .

141The Father says: Children, stop having impure vision.

128Dēh-abhimān mānā kudr̥iṣhṭi , dēhī-abhimānī mānā śhuddha dr̥iṣhṭi .

142Impure vision means body consciousness and pure vision means soul consciousness.

129Tō bachchō̃ key|kī dr̥iṣhṭi bāp key|kī taraph rahnī chāhiē .

143Therefore, the vision of you children should be focused on the Father.

130Varsā bahut ūñch hai - viśhva kī bādśhāhī , cum|kam bāt hai  !

144The inheritance is very elevated. 145The kingdom of the world is not a small thing.

131Svapn mē̃ bhī kiskō nahī̃ hōgā ki paṛhāī sē , yōg sē viśhva kī bādśhāhī mil saktī hai .

146None of you would have even dreamt that you could claim the kingdom of the world by having yoga and by studying.

132Paṛhkar ūñch pad pāyēṅgē tō bāp bhī khuśh hōgā , teacher bhī khuśh hōgā , satgurū bhī khuśh hōgā .

147If you study well and claim a high status, the Father will be very pleased. 148The Teacher and the Satguru will also be very pleased.

133Yād kartē rahē̃gē tō bāp bhī puchkār dētē rahē̃gē .

149Continue to remember the Father, and the Father will continue to give you plenty of love.

134Bāp kahtē haĩ - bachchē , yah khāmiyā̃ nikāl dō .

150The Father says: Children, remove those weaknesses.

135Nahī̃ tō mupht nām badnām karē̃gē .

151Otherwise, you will dishonour My name uselessly.

136Bāp tō viśhva kā mālik banātē , saubhāgya khōltē haĩ .

152The Father is making you into the masters of the world. 153He is opening up your fortune.

137Bhāratvāsī hī 100 pratiśhat saubhāgyaśhālī thē sō phir 100 pratiśhat durbhāgyaśhālī banē haĩ phir tumkō saubhāgyaśhālī banānē kē liē paṛhāyā jātā hai .

154The people of Bharat alone were 100% fortunate and they then became 100% unfortunate. 155You are being taught once again in order to make you very fortunate.

138Bābā nē samjhāyā hai dharm K|kē jō baṛē-baṛē haĩ , vah bhī tumhārē pās|pass āyēṅgē .

156Baba has explained that all the great religious people will also come to you.
