Question

2Praśhna  : bachchō̃ kō kis ēk bāt mē̃ mēhnat lagtī hai lēkin khuśhī aur yād kā vahī ādhār hai  ?

3Question: What one thing, which is the basis of happiness and remembrance, do some children find to be hard work?

Answer

3Uttar  : ātma-abhimānī bannē mē̃ hī mēhnat lagtī hai lēkin isī sē khuśhī kā pārā chaṛhtā hai , mīṭhā bābā yād ātā hai .

4Answer: It takes effort to become soul conscious, but it is by becoming this that your mercury of happiness rises and you remember sweet Baba.

4Māyā tumhē̃ dēh-abhimān mē̃ lātī rahēgī , rūstam sē rūstam hōkar laṛēgī , ismē̃ mūñjhnā nahī̃ .

5Maya continues to make you body conscious. 6Maya becomes powerful with the powerful ones and fights them. 7However, you mustn’t be confused by this.

5Bābā kahtē bachchē māyā K|kē tūphānō̃ sē ḍarō mat , sirph karmēndriyō̃ sē kōī vikarma nahī̃ karō .

8Baba says: Children, don’t be afraid of the storms of Maya. 9Just don’t perform any sinful actions with your physical senses.

Murli

6Ōm śhānti .

10Om shanti.

7Rūhānī bāp rūhānī bachchō̃ kō samjhā rahē haĩ vā śhikṣhā dē rahē haĩ , paṛhā rahē haĩ .

11The spiritual Father explains to you spiritual children, that is, He gives you teachings and educates you.

8Bachchē jāntē haĩ paṛhānē vālā bāp sadaiv dēhī-abhimānī hai .

12You children know that the Father who is teaching you is constantly soul conscious.

9Vah hai hī nirākār , dēh lētā hī nahī̃ hai .

13He is incorporeal. 14He doesn’t take a body.

10Punarjanma mē̃ nahī̃ ātē haĩ .

15He doesn’t come into rebirth.

11Bāp samjhātē haĩ tum bachchō̃ kō mērē samān apnē kō ātmā samajhnā hai .

16The Father explains: You children have to consider yourselves to be souls like Me.

12Maĩ hū̃ parampitā .

17I am the Supreme Father.

13Parampitā kō dēh hōtī nahī̃ .

18The Supreme Soul doesn't have a body.

14Unkō dēhī-abhimānī bhī nahī̃ kahē̃gē . 15Vah tō hai hī nirākār .

19You cannot say that He is soul conscious; He is incorporeal.

16Bāp kahtē haĩ mujhē apnī dēh nahī̃ haĩ .

20The Father says: I do not have a body of My own.

17Tumkō tō dēh miltī āī hai .

21You have been continuously receiving bodies.

18Ab mērē samān dēh sē nyārā hō apnē kō ātmā samjhō .

22Now, become like Me, detached from the body, and consider yourselves to be souls.

19Agar viśhva kā mālik bannā hai tō aur kōī difficult bāt hai nahī̃ .

23If you want to become a master of the world, there is nothing more difficult than that.

20Bāp kahtē haĩ dēh-abhimān kō chhōṛ mērē samān banō .

24The Father says: Renounce body consciousness and become like Me.

21Sadaiv buddhi mē̃ yād rahē ham ātmā haĩ , hamkō bābā paṛhā rahē haĩ .

25Always keep it in your intellects that you are souls and that Baba is teaching us.

22Bāp tō nirākār hai , parantu hamkō paṛhāyē kaisē  ?

26The Father is incorporeal, so how would He teach us?

23Isliē bābā is tan sē ākar paṛhātē haĩ .

27This is why Baba comes and teaches us through this body.

24Gaū mukh dikhātē haĩ nā .

28They show a Gaumukh (cow's mouth).

25Ab gaū K|kē mukh sē tō gaṅgā nahī̃ nikal saktī .

29Now, how could the Ganges emerge from the mouth of a cow?

26Mātā kō bhī gaū mātā kahā jātā hai .

30Mothers are also called mother cows.

27Tum sab gaū hō .

31You are all cows.

28Yah ( brahmā ) tō gaū nahī̃ hai .

32This one (Brahma Baba) isn’t a cow.

29Mukh dvārā gyān miltā hai .

33You receive this knowledge through the mouth.

30Bāp key|kī gaū tō nahī̃ hai nā - bail par bhī savārī dikhātē haĩ .

34The Father doesn't have a cow; they show Him riding a bull.

31Vah tō śhiv-śhaṅkar ēk kah dētē haĩ .

35They also say: Shiva and Shankar are one.

32Tum bachchē abhī samajhtē hō śhiv-śhaṅkar ēk nahī̃ hai .

36You children now understand that Shiva and Shankar are not the same.

33Śhiv tō hai ūñch tē ūñch phir brahmā-viṣhṇu-śhaṅkar .

37Shiva is the Highest on High; then there are Brahma, Vishnu and Shankar.

34Brahmā hai sūkṣhmavatanvāsī .

38That Brahma is a resident of the subtle region.

35Tum bachchō̃ kō vichār sāgar manthan kar point nikāl samjhānā paṛtā hai , aur niḍar bhī bannā hai .

39You children have to churn the ocean of this knowledge and extract points to explain and you also have to become fearless.

36Tum bachchō̃ kō hī khuśhī hai .

40Only you children have happiness.

37Tum kahē̃gē ham īśhvar K|kē student haĩ , hamkō bābā paṛhātē haĩ .

41You say: We are students of God; Baba is teaching us.

38Bhagvānuvāch bhī hai - hē bachchē , maĩ tumkō rājāō̃ kā rājā banānē kē liē paṛhātā hū̃ .

42God speaks: O children, I teach you in order to make you into the kings of kings.

39Bhal kahā̃ bhī jātē hō , centres par jātē hō , buddhi mē̃ hai ki bābā hamkō paṛhātē haĩ .

43No matter where you go, to the centres or anywhere else, it is in your intellects that Baba is teaching you.

40Jō abhī ham centres par suntē haĩ , bābā murlī chalātē haĩ .

44Whatever you listen to at a centre is the murli spoken by Baba.

41Bābā , bābā kartē rahō .

45Continue to say "Baba, Baba".

42Yah bhī tumhārī yātrā huī .

46This is also your pilgrimage.

43Yōg akṣhar śhōbhtā nahī̃ .

47The word "yoga" is not really appropriate.

44Manuṣhya amarnāth , badrīnāth yātrā karnē paidal jātē haĩ .

48Human beings go on foot to pilgrimage places like Amarnath and Badrinath.

45Abhī tum bachchō̃ kō tō jānā hai apnē ghar .

49You children now have to go back to your home.

46Tum jāntē hō ab yah bēhad kā nāṭak pūrā hōtā hai .

50You know that this unlimited play is now coming to an end.

47Bābā āyā huā hai , hamkō lāyak banākar lē jānē kē liē .

51Baba has come to make us worthy and to take us back.

48Tum khud kahtē hō ham patit haĩ .

52You yourselves say: We are impure.

49Patit thōṛēhī mukti kō pāyēṅgē .

53Impure beings cannot attain liberation.

50Bāp kahtē haĩ - hē ātmāō̃ , tum patit banē hō .

54The Father says: O souls, you have become impure.

51Vah śharīr kō patit samajh gaṅgā mē̃ snān karnē jātē haĩ .

55They consider their bodies to be impure and go and bathe in the Ganges.

52Ātmā kō tō vah nirlēp samajh lētē haĩ .

56They say that souls are immune to the effect of action.

53Bāp samjhātē haĩ - mūl bāt hai hī ātmā key|kī .

57The Father explains: The main thing is the soul.

54Kahtē bhī haĩ pāp ātmā , puṇya ātmā .

58It is said: A charitable soul and a sinful soul.

55Yah akṣhar achchhī rīti yād karō .

59Remember these words very well.

56Samajhnā aur samjhānā hai .

60You have to understand this yourselves and then make others understand.

57Tumkō hī bhāṣhaṇ ādi karnā hai .

61It is you who have to give lectures.

58Bāp tō gānv-gānv mē̃ , galī-galī mē̃ nahī̃ jāyēṅgē .

62The Father is not going to go from village to village and street to street.

59Tum ghar-ghar mē̃ yah chitra rakh dō .

63You should have these pictures in all your home.

6084 kā chakra kaisē phirtā hai .

64How does the cycle of 84 births turn?

61Sīṛhī mē̃ baṛā clear hai .

65It is very clear in the picture of the ladder.

62Ab bāp kahtē haĩ - satōpradhān banō .

66The Father says: Now become satopradhan.

63Apnē ghar jānā hai , pavitra bannē bigar tō ghar jāyēṅgē nahī̃ .

67You have to go back home and you cannot go back without becoming pure.

64Yahī phurnā lagā rahē .

68You should just have this one concern.

65Bahut bachchē likhtē haĩ , bābā hamkō bahut tūphān ātē haĩ .

69Many children write to Baba: So many storms of Maya come to me.

66Mansā mē̃ bahut kharāb khyālāt ātē haĩ . 67Āgē nahī̃ ātē thē .

70Very dirty thoughts come into my mind; they did not come before.

68Bāp kahtē haĩ tum yah khyāl nahī̃ karō .

71The Father says: Don’t worry about it.

69Āgē kōī tum yuddha K|kē maidān mē̃ thōṛēhī thē .

72Previously, you were not on a battlefield.

70Abhī tumkō bāp kī yād mē̃ rah māyā par jīt pānī hai .

73You now have to stay in remembrance of the Father and gain victory over Maya.

71Yah ghaṛī-ghaṛī yād kartē rahō .

74Remember this again and again.

72Gāṇṭh bāndh lō . 73Jaisē mātāyē̃ gāṇṭh bāndh lētī haĩ , puruṣh lōg phir note book mē̃ likhtē haĩ .

75Tie a knot, just as mothers tie a knot and men write it in their notebooks.

74Tumhārā tō yah badge achchhī niśhānī hai .

76This badge of yours is a good symbol.

75Ham prince bantē haĩ , yah hai hī beggar to prince bannē key|kī godly university .

77We are becoming princes. 78This is the Godly university for changing from a beggar to a prince.

76Tum prince thē nā .

79You were princes, were you not?

77Śhrīkr̥iṣhṇa world kā prince thā . 78Jaisē England kā bhī prince of Wales kahā jātā hai .

80Shri Krishna was the prince of the world, just as in England there is the Prince of Wales.

79Vah haĩ had key|kī bātē̃ , rādhē-kr̥iṣhṇa tō bahut nāmīgrāmī hai .

81That is a limited matter. 82Radhe and Krishna are very famous.

80Svarg K|kē prince-princess thē nā isliē unhō̃ kō sabhī pyār kartē haĩ .

83Because they were the prince and princess of heaven, everyone loves them.

81Śhrīkr̥iṣhṇa kō tō bahut pyār kartē haĩ .

84Shri Krishna is loved a great deal.

82Karnā tō dōnō̃ kō chāhiē .

85Both of them should be loved.

83Pahlē tō rādhē kō karnā chāhiē . 84Parantu bachchē par jāstī pyār rahtā hai kyōṅki vah vāris bantā hai .

86It should first be Radhe, but it is the male child who is loved more because he becomes the heir.

85Strī kā bhī pati par pyār rahtā hai .

87A wife has love for her husband.

86Pati kē liē hī kahtē haĩ yah tumhārā gurū īśhvar hai .

88It is of the husband that they say: He is your guru and your god.

87Strī kē liē aisē nahī̃ kahē̃gē .

89This is not said of the wife.

88Satyug mē̃ tō mātāō̃ key|kī mahimā hai .

90In the golden age, the mothers are praised.

89Pahlē lakṣhmī phir nārāyaṇ .

91First it is Lakshmi and then Narayan.

90Ambā kā kitnā regard rakhtē haĩ . 91Brahmā key|kī bēṭī hai .

92There is so much regard for the goddess Amba; she is the daughter of Brahma.

92Brahmā kā itnā nahī̃ hai , brahmā kā mandir ajmēr mē̃ haĩ . 93Jahā̃ mēlē ādi lagtē haĩ .

93There is not as much regard for Brahma. 94There is a temple to Brahma in Ajmer where melas etc. take place.

94Ambā K|kē mandir mē̃ bhī mēlā lagtā hai .

95There are also melas in the temples to Amba.

95Vāstav mē̃ yah sab mēlē mailā banānē kē liē hī haĩ .

96In fact, all of those melas are to make you dirty (mehla).

96Tumhārā yah mēlā hai svachchha bannē kā .

97This mela of yours is to make you clean.

97Svachchha bannē kē liē tumkō svachchha bāp kō yād karnā hai .

98In order to become clean, you have to remember the clean (pure) Father.

98Pānī sē kōī pāp nāśh nahī̃ hōtē haĩ .

99You cannot be absolved of your sins with water.

99Gītā mē̃ bhī bhagvānuvāch hai manmanābhav .

100The word of God, “Manmanabhav”, is mentioned in the Gita.

100Ādi aur ant mē̃ yah akṣhar haĩ .

101It is mentioned at the beginning as well as at the end.

101Tum bachchē jāntē hō hamnē hī pahlē-pahlē bhakti śhurū kī hai .

102You children know that it was we who started worshipping.

102Satōpradhān bhakti phir satō-rajō-tamō bhakti hōtī hai .

103There is satopradhan devotion, then sato, rajo and then tamo devotion.

103Abhī tō dēkhō miṭṭī patthar ādi sabkī kartē haĩ .

104Look, they now even worship mud and stones!

104Yah sab hai andhaśhraddhā .

105All of that is blind faith.

105Is samay tum saṅgam par baiṭhē hō .

106At this time, you are sitting at the confluence.

106Yah ulṭā jhāṛ hai nā . 107Ūpar mē̃ hai bīj .

107This is an inverted tree: the Seed is at the top.

108Bāp kahtē haĩ is manuṣhya sr̥iṣhṭi kā bīj rachtā maĩ hū̃ .

108The Father says: I am the Creator and the Seed of this human world tree.

109Abhī naī duniyā kī sthāpanā kar rahē haĩ .

109I am now establishing a new world.

110Sapling lagātē haĩ nā .

110The sapling is being planted.

111Jhāṛ K|kē purānē pattē jhaṛ jātē haĩ . 112Nayē-nayē pattē nikaltē haĩ .

111Old leaves of a tree fall off and new leaves start to appear.

113Abhī bāp dēvī-dēvtā dharm key|kī sthāpanā kar rahē haĩ .

112The Father is now establishing the original, eternal, deity religion.

114Bahut pattē haĩ jō mix hō gayē haĩ .

113There are many leaves who have become mixed (converted).

115Apnē kō hindū kahlātē haĩ .

114They call themselves Hindus.

116Vāstav mē̃ hindū haĩ hī ādi sanātan dēvī-dēvtā dharm vālē .

115In reality, Hindus belong to the original, eternal, deity religion.

117Hindustān kā vāstav mē̃ nām hī hai bhārat , jahā̃ dēvtāyē̃ rahtē thē .

116The original name of Hindustan is Bharat where the deities used to live.

118Aur kisī dēśh kā nām nahī̃ badaltā , inkā nām badal diyā hai .

117No other country’s name is changed, but they have changed this country’s name.

119Hindustān kah dētē haĩ .

118They call it Hindustan.

120Bauddhī lōg aisē nahī̃ kahē̃gē ki hamārā dharm jāpānī vā chīnī hai .

119Buddhists do not say that their religion is Japanese or Chinese.

121Vah tō apnē dharm kō bauddhī hī kahē̃gē .

120They call their religion Buddhism.

122Tumhārē mē̃ kōī bhī apnē kō ādi sanātan dēvī-dēvtā dharm kā nahī̃ kahtē haĩ .

121Here, too, none of them consider themselves to be part of the original, eternal, deity religion.

123Agar kōī kahē bhī tō bōlō vah dharm kab aur kisnē sthāpan kiyā  ?

122If someone says that he is part of that religion, ask him: When was that religion established and who established it?

124Kuchh bhī batā nahī̃ sakē̃gē .

123He will not be able to tell you anything.

125Kalp key|kī āyu hī lambī-chauṛī kar dī hai , iskō kahā jātā hai agyān andhērā .

124The duration of the cycle has been elongated. 125That is said to be the darkness of ignorance.

126Ēk tō apnē dharm kā patā nahī̃ , dūsrā lakṣhmī-nārāyaṇ K|kē rājya kō baṛā dūr lē gayē haĩ isliē ghōr andhiyārā kahā jātā hai .

126Firstly, they do not know about their religion. 127Secondly, the kingdom of Lakshmi and Narayan has been placed far away. 128That is why it is said to be extreme darkness.

127Gyān aur agyān mē̃ kitnā phark hai .

129There is so much difference between this knowledge and that ignorance.

128Gyān sāgar hai hī ēk śhivbābā .

130The Ocean of Knowledge is Shiv Baba alone.

129Unsē jaisē ēk lōṭā dētē haĩ . 130Sirph kiskō yah sunāō ki śhivbābā kō yād karō tō vikarma vināśh hōṅgē . 131Yah jaisē cullu pānī huā nā .

131It is just like giving someone an urn of water; simply to tell someone to remember Shiv Baba and his sins will be absolved is just like offering a handful of water.

132Kōī tō snān kartē haĩ , kōī ghaṛā bhar lē jātē haĩ .

132Some bathe in it (Ganges), and some take a pot of water.

133Kōī chhōṭī-chhōṭī lōṭī lē jātē haĩ .

133Some take small urns and some take even smaller urns.

134Rōz ēk-ēk būnd maṭkē mē̃ ḍāl uskō gyān jal samajh pītē haĩ .

134They pour a drop of water into a pot and consider it to be the water of knowledge and drink it.

135Vilāyat mē̃ bhī vaiṣhṇav lōg gaṅgā jal K|kē ghaṛē bharkar lē jātē haĩ . 136Phir maṅgātē rahtē haĩ .

135Vaishnavs also take this water of the Ganges in a container when they go abroad and they keep asking for more to be sent to them.

137Ab yah tō sārā pānī pahāṛō̃ sē hī ātā hai .

136Now, all of that water comes from the mountains.

138Ūpar sē bhī pānī girātē haĩ .

137Water also falls from above.

139Ājkal dēkhō makān bhī kitnē ūñchē 100 mañjil tak K|kē banātē haĩ .

138These days, buildings are built with 100 floors.

140Satyug mē̃ tō aisē nahī̃ hōgā .

139It will not be like that in the golden age.

141Vahā̃ tō tumkō jamīn itnī miltī hai bāt mat pūchhō .

140There, you will have so much land, don’t even ask.

142Yahā̃ rahnē kē liē jamīn nahī̃ hai , tab itnē mañjil banātē haĩ .

141Here, land is scarce and that is why they have to build so many floors.

143Vahā̃ anāj bhī athāh paidā hōtā hai .

142There, there is an abundance of grain as well.

144Jaisē America mē̃ bahut anāj hōtā hai tō jalā dētē haĩ .

143In America, when there is an abundance of grain, they have to burn it.

145Yah hai mr̥ityulōk .

144This is a land of death.

146Vah hai amarlōk .

145That is a land of immortality.

147Ādhākalp vahā̃ tum sukh mē̃ rahtē hō .

146For half a cycle, you remain happy there.

148Kāl andar ghus na sakē .

147Death cannot force itself in there.

149Is par ēk kathā bhī hai .

148There is a story about this.

150Yah hai bēhad key|kī bāt .

149These are unlimited matters.

151Bēhad key|kī bātō̃ sē phir had key|kī kathāyē̃ baiṭh banāī haĩ .

150They have made up limited stories from these unlimited matters.

152Granth pahlē kitnā chhōṭā thā .

151Originally, the Granth was very small.

153Ab tō kitnā baṛā kar diyā hai .

152It has now been made very big.

154Śhivbābā kitnā chhōṭā hai , unkī bhī kitnī baṛī pratimā banā dī hai .

153Shiv Baba is so tiny and yet they have made such a big symbol of Him.

155Buddha K|kē chitra , pāṇḍavō̃ K|kē chitra baṛē-baṛē lambē banāyē haĩ .

154Images of Buddha and the Pandavas have been made very large.

156Aisē tō kōī hōtē nahī̃ .

155There is no one like that.

157Tum bachchō̃ kō tō yah aim object kā chitra ghar-ghar mē̃ rakhnā chāhiē .

156You children should keep a picture of your aim and objective in all your homes.

158Ham paṛhkar yah ban rahē haĩ .

157We are becoming this by studying.

159Phir rōnā thōṛēhī chāhiē .

158Why then should you cry?

160Jō rōtē haĩ vah khōtē haĩ .

159Those who cry lose out.

161Dēh-abhimān mē̃ ā jātē haĩ .

160You become body conscious.

162Tum bachchō̃ kō ātma-abhimānī bannā hai , ismē̃ hī mēhnat lagtī hai .

161You children have to become soul conscious; it is this that requires effort.

163Ātma-abhimānī bannē sē hī khuśhī kā pārā chaṛhtā hai . 164Mīṭhā bābā yād ātā hai .

162Only by becoming soul conscious does the mercury of your happiness rise and sweet Baba is remembered.

165Bābā sē ham svarg kā varsā lē rahē haĩ .

163We are claiming our inheritance of heaven from Baba.

166Bābā hamkō is bhāgyaśhālī rath mē̃ ākar paṛhātē haĩ .

164Baba comes in this Lucky Chariot to teach us.

167Rāt-din bābā-bābā yād kartē rahō .

165Remember Baba day and night.

168Tum ādhākalp K|kē āśhik hō .

166You are His lovers for half a cycle.

169Bhakta bhagvān kō yād kartē haĩ .

167Devotees remember God.

170Bhakta haĩ anēk .

168There are many devotees.

171Gyān mē̃ sab ēk bāp kō yād kartē haĩ . 172Vahī sabkā bāp hai .
