Murli
8Ōm śhānti .
10Om shanti.
9Bāp baiṭh samjhātē haĩ gyān aur bhakti kē ūpar .
11The Father sits here and explains about devotion and this knowledge.
10Yah tō bachchē samajh gayē haĩ bhakti sē sadgati nahī̃ hōtī hai aur satyug mē̃ bhakti hōtī nahī̃ .
12You children have understood that there cannot be salvation through devotion and that there is no devotion performed in the golden age.
11Gyān bhī satyug mē̃ miltā nahī̃ .
13You don't even receive this knowledge in the golden age.
12Śhrīkr̥iṣhṇa na bhakti kartē haĩ , na gyān key|kī murlī bajātē haĩ .
14Shri Krishna neither worships anyone nor plays the flute of knowledge.
13Murlī mānā hī gyān dēnā .
15To play the flute (murli) means to give this knowledge.
14Gāyan bhī hai nā murlī mē̃ jādū . 15Tō jarūr kōī jādū hōgā nā !
16It is remembered that there is magic in the flute, so there must definitely be some magic.
16Sirph murlī bajānā , vah tō common phakīr lōg bhī bajātē rahtē haĩ .
17Simply to play the flute is common, even wandering beggars continue to play that.
17Is murlī mē̃ gyān kā jādū hai .
18This flute has the magic of knowledge.
18Agyān kō jādū tō nahī̃ kahē̃gē .
19Ignorance cannot be called magic.
19Murlī kō jādū kahtē haĩ .
20The murli is called magic.
20Manuṣhya sē dēvtā bantē haĩ gyān sē .
21Ordinary human beings are made into deities by this knowledge.
21Jab satyug hai tō is gyān kā varsā hai .
22When it is the golden age, you have the inheritance of knowledge.
22Vahā̃ bhakti hōtī nahī̃ .
23There is no devotion performed there.
23Bhakti hōtī hai dvāpar sē , jabki dēvtā sē manuṣhya ban jātē haĩ .
24Devotion starts with the copper age when you change from deities to humans.
24Manuṣhyō̃ kō vikārī , dēvtāō̃ kō nirvikārī kahā jātā hai .
25Human beings are called vicious, whereas deities are called viceless.
25Dēvtāō̃ key|kī sr̥iṣhṭi kō pavitra duniyā kahā jātā hai .
26The world of deities is called the pure world.
26Abhī tum dēvtā ban rahē hō .
27You are now becoming deities.
27Gyān kiskō kahā jātā hai ?
28What is meant by knowledge?
28Ēk tō svayã key|kī vā bāp key|kī pahchān aur phir sr̥iṣhṭi K|kē ādi-madhy-ant key|kī knowledge kō gyān kahā jātā hai .
29This knowledge is firstly the recognition of oneself and the Father and secondly the knowledge of the beginning, the middle and the end of the world.
29Gyān sē hōtī hai sadgati .
30Salvation is received through this knowledge.
30Phir bhakti śhurū hōtī hai tō utartī kalā kahā jātā hai kyōṅki bhakti kō rāt , gyān kō din kahā jātā hai .
31Then, later on, devotion begins. 32That is then called the descending stage, because devotion is the night and knowledge is the day.
31Yah tō kōī key|kī bhī buddhi mē̃ baiṭh saktā hai parantu daivīguṇ dhāraṇ nahī̃ kartē haĩ .
33This knowledge can sit in anyone's intellect, but not everyone can imbibe divine virtues.
32Daivīguṇ hō̃ tō samjhā jāē gyān key|kī dhārṇā hai .
34If someone has divine virtues, it can be understood that that one has imbibed this knowledge.
33Gyān key|kī dhārṇā vālō̃ key|kī chalan dēvtā misal hōtī hai .
35The activities of those who imbibe this knowledge become like those of the deities.
34Cum|kam dhārṇā vālē key|kī chalan mix rahtī hai .
36The activity of those who imbibe less is mixed.
35Dhārṇā nahī̃ tō gōyā vah bachchē hī nahī̃ .
37If they imbibe nothing, it means that they are not (Baba’s) children.
36Manuṣhya bāp key|kī kitnī glānī kartē haĩ .
38Human beings defame the Father so much.
37Brāhmaṇ kul mē̃ ātē haĩ tō gālī dēnā , glānī karnā band hō jātā hai .
39When you come into the Brahmin clan, you stop insulting and defaming one another.
38Tumkō gyān miltā hai , us par apnā vichār sāgar manthan karnē sē amr̥it milēgā .
40You receive this knowledge; then, by churning the ocean of knowledge, you receive nectar.
39Vichār sāgar manthan hī nahī̃ kartē tō bākī kyā manthan hōgā ?
41If you don't churn the ocean of knowledge, what else would you be churning?
40Āsurī vichār .
42Devilish thoughts.
41Unsē kichṛā hī nikalēgā .
43Only rubbish would emerge from that.
42Abhī tum īśhvarīy student hō .
44You are now Godly students.
43Jāntē hō manuṣhya sē dēvtā bannē key|kī paṛhāī paṛh rahē haĩ .
45You know that you are studying the study to change from ordinary humans into deities.
44Dēvtāē̃ yah paṛhāī nahī̃ paṛhāyēṅgē .
46Deities do not teach this study.
45Dēvtāō̃ kō kabhī gyān kā sāgar nahī̃ kahā jātā hai .
47Deities cannot be called oceans of knowledge.
46Gyān kā sāgar tō ēk kō hī kahā jātā hai .
48Only that One can be called the Ocean of Knowledge.
47Daivīguṇ bhī gyān sē dhāraṇ hōtē haĩ .
49Divine virtues can only be imbibed through this knowledge.
48Yah gyān jō tum bachchō̃ kō abhī miltā hai , yah satyug mē̃ nahī̃ hōtā .
50It is only at this time that you children receive this knowledge. 51You don't receive this in the golden age.
49In dēvtāō̃ mē̃ daivīguṇ haĩ .
52Those deities have divine virtues.
50Tum mahimā bhī kartē hō sarvguṇ sampann … tō abhī tumkō aisā bannā hai .
53You also praise them as those who are full of all virtues. 54Therefore, you now have to become like them.
51Apnē sē pūchhnā chāhiē hamārē mē̃ sab daivīguṇ haĩ yā kōī āsurī avguṇ haĩ ?
55Each of you has to ask yourself: Do I have all the divine virtues or is my activity devilish?
52Agar āsurī avguṇ haĩ tō unkō nikāl dēnā chāhiē tab hī dēvtā kahē̃gē .
56If you have any devilish activities, you must renounce them. 57Only then will you be called a deity.
53Nahī̃ tō cum|kam darjā pā lē̃gē .
58Otherwise, you will attain a low status.
54Abhī tum bachchē daivīguṇ dhāraṇ kartē hō .
59You children are now imbibing divine virtues.
55Bahut achchhī-achchhī bātē̃ sunātē hō .
60You relate many very good things.
56Inkō hī kahā jātā hai puruṣhōttam saṅgamyug jabki tum puruṣhōttam ban rahē hō , tō vātāvaraṇ bhī bahut achchhā hōnā chāhiē .
61This is called the most elevated confluence age, when you become the most elevated of all. 62Therefore, the atmosphere too has to be very good.
57Mukh sē kōī bhī chhī-chhī bāt na nikalē , nahī̃ tō kahā jāyēgā yah cum|kam darjē kā hai .
63Do not let any dirty words emerge from your lips. 64Otherwise, it would be said that you are going to claim a low status.
58Bōlchāl aur vātāvaraṇ sē jhaṭ patā paṛ jātā hai .
65This can be known very quickly from your behaviour and the atmosphere.
59Tumhārā mukhṛā sadaiv harṣhit hōnā chāhiē .
66Let your faces remain constantly cheerful.
60Nahī̃ tō unmē̃ gyān nahī̃ kahā jāyēgā .
67Otherwise, it would be said that you don't have any of this knowledge.
61Mukh sē sadaiv ratna nikalē̃ .
68Let only jewels of knowledge constantly emerge from your lips.
62Yah lakṣhmī-nārāyaṇ dēkhō kitnē harṣhitmukh haĩ .
69Look at Lakshmi and Narayan and see how cheerful their faces are.
63Inhō̃ key|kī ātmā nē gyān ratna dhāraṇ kiyē thē .
70Those souls had imbibed the jewels of knowledge.
64Mukh sē sadaiv gyān ratna nikaltē haĩ .
71Only jewels of knowledge constantly emerged from their mouths.
65Ratna hī suntē-sunātē kitnī khuśhī rahtī hai .
72There is so much happiness in just relating and listening to the jewels of knowledge.
66Gyān ratna jō abhī tum lētē hō , phir yē sabhī hīrē-javāharāt ban jātē haĩ .
73The jewels of knowledge that you are now receiving will then become diamonds and jewels.
679 ratnō̃ key|kī mālā kōī hīrō̃-javāharātō̃ key|kī nahī̃ hai .
74The rosary of nine jewels is not of diamonds and jewels.
68In gyān ratnō̃ key|kī mālā hai .
75It is a rosary of the jewels of knowledge.
69Manuṣhya lōg phir vah ratna samajh aṅgūṭhiyā̃ ādi pahan lētē haĩ .
76People believe that it is made of those physical gems and they wear a ring made of them.
70In gyān ratnō̃ key|kī mālā puruṣhōttam saṅgamyug par paṛtī hai .
77The rosary of the jewels of knowledge is created at the most auspicious confluence age.
71Yah ratna hī tumkō bhaviṣhya 21 janmō̃ kē liē mālāmāl banātē haĩ .
78These jewels will make you prosperous for your future 21 births.
72Inkō kōī lūṭ na sakē .
79No one can loot these from you.
73Yahā̃ tum yah hīrē javāharāt pahanō̃ tō jhaṭ kōī lūṭ lē jāē .
80Here, if you were to wear diamonds and jewels, someone would very quickly loot them from you.
74Tō apnē kō bahut-bahut samajhdār banānā hai . 75Āsurī avguṇō̃ kō nikālnā hai .
81Therefore, you have to become very sensible and remove devilish traits.
76Āsurī avguṇō̃ sē śhakla hī aisī hō jātī hai .
82The face becomes so bad because of devilish traits.
77Krōdh mē̃ lāl-lāl tāmbē jaisī śhakla hō jātī hai .
83The face of an angry person becomes as red as copper.
78Kām vikār vālē tō kālē ban jātē haĩ .
84Those who have the vice of lust become ugly.
79Tō bachchō̃ kō her|har bāt mē̃ vichār sāgar manthan karnā chāhiē .
85Therefore you children have to churn the ocean of knowledge about everything.
80Yah paṛhāī hai hī bahut dhan pānē key|kī .
86This study is for receiving a lot of wealth.
81Vah paṛhāī kōī ratna thōṛēhī hai .
87Other studies are not worth jewels.
82Hā̃ , knowledge paṛhkar baṛā position pā lētē haĩ .
88Yes, people can study that knowledge and claim a high position.
83Tō paṛhāī kām I|āī|eye , na ki paisā .
89Therefore education, not wealth, is useful.
84Paṛhāī hī dhan hai .
90Education is wealth.
85Vah hai had kā dhan , phir yah hai bēhad kā dhan .
91That wealth is limited, whereas this wealth is unlimited.
86Haĩ dōnō̃ paṛhāī .
92Yes, both are studies.
87Abhī tum samajhtē hō bāp hamkō paṛhākar viśhva kā mālik banā dētē haĩ .
93You now understand that the Father teaches you and makes you into the masters of the world.
88Vah alpkāl kṣhaṇ bhaṅgur key|kī paṛhāī hai ēk janm kē liē .
94Those studies are temporary and only worth a little for just one birth.
89Phir dūsrē janm mē̃ nayē sir paṛhnā paṛē .
95Then, in your next birth, you have to study afresh.
90Vahā̃ dhan kē liē paṛhāī kī darkār nahī̃ .
96There, there is no need to study for wealth.
91Vahā̃ tō abhī K|kē puruṣhārth sē akīchār ( athāh ) dhan mil jātā hai .
97There, you receive plenty of wealth based on your efforts of this time.
92Dhan avināśhī ban jātā hai .
98This wealth becomes imperishable.
93Dēvtāō̃ kē pās dhan bahut thā phir jab bhakti mārg arthāt rāvaṇrājya mē̃ āyē tō kitnā thā , kitnē mandir banāyē huē haĩ .
99Deities had a lot of wealth. 100How much did they have when they then went on to the path of devotion, which means the kingdom of Ravan? 101They built so many temples.
94Phir ākar musalmānō̃ ādi nē dhan lūṭā .
102Then the Muslims came and looted their wealth.
95Kitnē dhanvān thē !
103They (deities) were so wealthy!
96Āj key|kī paṛhāī sē itnā dhanvān kōī ban nahī̃ sakē̃gē .
104No one could become as wealthy through the studies of the present day.
97Tum abhī jāntē hō ham itnī ūñchī paṛhāī paṛhtē haĩ jissē yah ( dēvī-dēvtā ) bantē haĩ .
105You now understand that you are studying such an elevated study through which you become deities.
98Tō paṛhāī sē dēkhō manuṣhya kyā ban jātē haĩ ! 99Garīb sē sāhūkār .
106Look what human beings become by studying: wealthy from poor.
100Abhī bhārat bhī kitnā garīb hai .
107Bharat too is so poor now.
101Sāhūkārō̃ kō tō phursat hī nahī̃ hai .
108The wealthy don't have any time at all.
102Apnā ahaṅkār rahtā hai - maĩ phalānā hū̃ .
109They have their own pride of being so-and-so.
103Ismē̃ ahaṅkār ādi miṭ jānā chāhiē .
110Here, all pride has to be removed.
104Ham ātmā haĩ , ātmā kē pās tō dhan-daulat , hīrē-javāharāt ādi kuchh bhī nahī̃ haĩ .
111I am a soul and a soul has no wealth or prosperity, or diamonds or jewels.
105Bāp bhī kahtē haĩ dēh sahit sab sambandh chhōṛō .
112The Father says: Renounce your bodies and all bodily relations.
106Ātmā śharīr chhōṛtī hai tō sāhūkārī ādi sab khatm hō jātī hai .
113When a soul sheds his body, all the prosperity, etc. is finished until he studies and earns his wealth again.
107Jab nayēsir paṛhkar phir dhan kamāvē yā tō dān-puṇya achchhā kiyā hō tō sāhūkār K|kē ghar janma lē̃gē .
114Or, if he made very good donations in his previous birth, he would take birth in a wealthy home.
108Kahtē haĩ nā past K|kē karmō̃ kā phal hai .
115They say: That is the fruit of his past actions.
109Knowledge kā dān kiyā hōgā vā college , dharmaśhālā ādi banāī hai tō uskā phal miltā hai parantu alpkāl kē liē .
116If someone has provided education for others, built a college or a rest house for pilgrims, he receives the fruit of that, but only for a temporary period.
110Yah dān-puṇya bhī yahā̃ kiyā jātā hai .
117It is here that you give donations and perform charity.
111Satyug mē̃ nahī̃ kiyā jātā hai .
118You don’t do that in the golden age.
112Satyug mē̃ achchhē hī karma hōtē haĩ kyōṅki abhī kā varsā milā huā hai .
119There are only good actions in the golden age, because you receive the inheritance of this time there.
113Vahā̃ kōī kā bhī vikarma hōtā nahī̃ kyōṅki rāvaṇ hī nahī̃ hai .
120There, no one performs sinful actions, because Ravan doesn't exist there.
114Garībō̃ kā bhī vikarma nahī̃ banēgā .
121Poor people there don’t perform sinful actions.
115Yahā̃ tō sāhūkārō̃ K|kē bhī vikarma bantē haĩ tab tō yah bīmāriyā̃ ādi duḥkh hōtē haĩ .
122Here, even the wealthy commit sinful actions, and this is why there is such illness and sorrow, etc.
116Vahā̃ vikār mē̃ jātē hī nahī̃ tō vikarma kaisē banē̃gē ?
123There, they don't indulge in vice, and so how could sins be committed?
117Sārā madār hai karmō̃ par .
124Everything depends on your karma.
118Yah māyā rāvaṇ kā rājya hai , jō manuṣhya vikārī ban jātē haĩ .
125This is the kingdom of Maya, Ravan, where human beings become vicious.
119Bāp ākar paṛhātē haĩ nirvikārī banānē liē .
126The Father comes and teaches you in order to make you viceless.
120Bāp nirvikārī banātē haĩ , māyā phir vikārī banā dētī hai .
127The Father makes you viceless, and Maya then makes you vicious.
121Rāmavãśī aur rāvaṇavãśī key|kī yuddha chaltī hai .
128There is a war between the dynasty of Rama and the dynasty of Ravan.
122Tum bāp K|kē bachchē hō , vah rāvaṇ K|kē bachchē haĩ .
129You are the children of the Father and they are the children of Ravan.
123Kitnē achchhē-achchhē bachchē māyā sē hār khā lētē haĩ .
130So many very good children are defeated by Maya.
124Māyā baṛī prabal hai .
131Maya is very powerful.
125Phir bhī ummīnd rakhtē haĩ .
132In spite of that, there is hope.
126Adham sē adham ( bilkul patit ) kā bhī uddhār karnā hōtā hai nā .
133Even those who are completely degraded have to be uplifted.
127Bāp kō tō sārē viśhva kā uddhār karnā hōtā hai .
134The Father has to uplift the whole world.
128Bahut girtē haĩ .
135Many fall.
129Ēkdam chaṭ khātē mē̃ adham sē adham ban jātē haĩ .
136They become totally degraded and low.
130Aisē kā bhī bāp uddhār kartē haĩ .
137The Father uplifts even such children.
131Adham tō sab haĩ rāvaṇ rājya mē̃ , parantu bāp bachātē haĩ .
138Everyone in the kingdom of Ravan is degraded. 139However, the Father saves you.
132Phir bhī girtē rahtē haĩ , tō bahut adham ban jātē haĩ .
140In spite of that, you continue to fall and thereby become the lowest of all.
133Unkā phir itnā chaṛhnā nahī̃ hōtā hai .
141You are then not able to climb as high.
134Vah adhampanā andar khātā rahtā hai .
142Your conscience would bite you because you reached the lowest state.
135Jaisē tum kahtē hō antkāl jō . . unkī buddhi mē̃ vah adhampanā hī ātā rahēgā .
143It is said: “Whatever you remember in your final moments…” 144There would just be that lowest state in that one's intellect.
136Tō bāp baiṭh bachchō̃ kō samjhātē haĩ , kalp-kalp tum hī dēvtā bantē hō .
145Therefore, the Father sits here and explains to you children: It is you who become the deities every cycle.
137Jānvar banē̃gē kyā ?
146Would animals become those?
138Manuṣhya hī bantē haĩ aur samajhtē haĩ .
147Only human beings understand this and become those.
139In lakṣhmī-nārāyaṇ kō bhī nāk kān ādi haĩ , manuṣhya haĩ nā !
148Lakshmi and Narayan also have noses, ears, etc. because they are human beings.
140Parantu daivī guṇō̃ vālē haĩ isliē inkō dēvtā kahā jātā hai .
149However, they have divine virtues and this is why they are called deities.
141Yah aisā sundar dēvtā kaisē bantē haĩ , phir kaisē girtē haĩ , is chakra kā tumkō mālūm paṛ gayā hai .
150How did they become such beautiful deities? 151How did they then fall? 152You now understand this cycle.
142Jō vichār sāgar manthan kartē hōṅgē unkō dhārṇā bhī achchhī hōgī .
153All of those who churn the ocean of this knowledge will imbibe this very well.
143Vichār sāgar manthan hī nahī̃ kartē tō buddhū ban paṛtē , murlī chalānē vālē kā vichār sāgar manthan chaltā rahēgā . 144Is topic par yah-yah samjhānā hai .
154Those who don't churn the ocean of knowledge become simpletons (buddhus). 155Those who read the murli will churn the ocean of knowledge and think about the topics that they have to explain.
145Automatically vichār sāgar manthan chaltā hai .
156They would automatically churn the ocean of knowledge.
146Phalānē ānē vālē haĩ unhō̃ kō bhī hullās sē samjhāyēṅgē .
157Different people are going to come, and so you have to explain to them with enthusiasm.
147Hō saktā hai kuchh samajh jāē .
158It is possible that they will understand something.
148Bhāgya par hai .
159It all depends on their fortune.
149Kōī jhaṭ niśhchay karē̃gē , kōī nahī̃ karē̃gē .
160Some will instantly have faith, whereas others won't.
150Ummīd rakhī jātī hai .
161Hope is kept for them.
151Abhī nahī̃ tō āgē chalkar samajhē̃gē jarūr .
162If not now, then they will definitely understand in the future.
152Ummīd rakhnī chāhiē nā !
163One has to keep hoping.
153Ummīd rakhnā mānā service kā śhauk hai .
164To keep hope in them means to have an interest in serving them.
154Thaknā nahī̃ hai .
165You mustn't become tired.
