1Gyān hī rōśhnī hai jissē agyān kā andhkār nāśh hōtā hai
1Knowledge is the light through which the darkness of ignorance is dispelled.
2Om shanti.
2Ātmā , paramātmā aur sr̥iṣhṭi-chakra kō yathārth rīti jānnā – yah hai avināśhī gyān jō avināśhī pitā dvārā hī miltā hai .
3The imperishable knowledge is the accurate knowledge of the soul, the Supreme Soul and the world cycle. 4We receive this knowledge only through the eternal Father.
3Ātmāō̃ dvārā nahī̃ mil saktā hai kyōṅki ātmā janm-maraṇ K|kē chakra mē̃ ātī hai .
5We cannot receive it through souls because souls come into the cycle of birth and death.
4Tō yah knowledge jō ajanmā hai vahī jān saktā hai .
6Only the One who is beyond birth can have this knowledge.
5Jō karmō̃ K|kē chakra mē̃ chalnē vālē haĩ unhō̃ key|kī knowledge jarur unkē pās|pass hī rahēgī jō chakra sē nyārā hai .
7Only the One who is beyond the cycle would have the knowledge of those who come into the cycle of karma.
6Tō yah avināśhī gyān avināśhī pitā dvārā miltā hai .
8So we receive this imperishable knowledge from the eternal Father.
7Iskō hī rōśhnī kahē̃gē jissē andhiyārā miṭ jātā hai , rōśhnī mē̃ ā jātē haĩ .
9This is called the light through which darkness is dispelled and through which we become enlightened.
8Kahā bhī jātā hai - gyān-añjan satguru diyā , agyān andhērā vināśh .
10It is said that when the Satguru gives the ointment of knowledge, the darkness of ignorance is dispelled.
9Sō paramātmā K|kē gyān sē hī agyān andhērā vināśh hōtā hai .
11The darkness of ignorance is only dispelled through knowledge given by God.
10Bhal anēk prakār kā gyān hai , parantu unsē agyān andhērā vināśh hō jāē aur rōśhnī ā jāē - yah nahī̃ hō saktā .
12Though there are many types of knowledge, it is not possible for the darkness of ignorance to be dispelled and for there to be light through those types of knowledge.
11Yah tailuk paramātmā sē hī hai .
13That is a matter for God alone.
12Paramātmā key|kī knowledge sē hī ātmā kā agyān andhērā vināśh hōtā hai aur rōśhnī bhī ātī hai .
14Only through the knowledge received from God can the darkness of ignorance be dispelled and can there be light in the ·soul.
13Rōśhnī arthāt janma-janmāntar kē liē phir ham vah prālabdh prāpt karē̃ jissē sadā sukh hō .
15Light means that we attain that reward through which there is constant happiness for many births.
14Yah gyān sirph buddhi mē̃ rakhnē key|kī bāt nahī̃ .
16It is not a question of just keeping this knowledge in your irltellect.
15Yah tō practical anēk janmō̃ K|kē vikarmō̃ kā vināśh karnā hai jō phir vah prālabdh milē .
17You must actually destroy the sins of many births so that you can attain that reward.
16Yah paramātmā hī karā saktā hai .
18Only God can enable you to do this.
17Iskō hī gyān kahā jātā hai .
19This is called knowledge.
18Yah knowledge athavā yah prāpti manuṣhya nahī̃ karā saktē .
20Human beings cannot enable you to receive this knowledge or this attainment.
19Manuṣhya kō tō prāpt karnā hai .
21Human beings have to attain it.
20Sarv manuṣhya ātmāō̃ kē liē bāt hai nā .
22This is a matter for all human souls.
21Tō dēnē vālā jarur aur hai jissē sarv ātmāyē̃ vah prālabdh prāpt kartī haĩ .
23So the One who gives is definitely the One through whom all souls attain that reward.
22Kōī bhī manuṣhya ātmā chakra sē alag nahī̃ hai .
24No human soul is separate from the cycle.
23Sabkō rōśhnī chāhiē jissē vah aisī stage kō prāpt karē̃ .
25Everyone needs enlightenment in order to attain such a stage.
24Yah gyān hī rōśhnī hai jissē past anēk janmō̃ K|kē vikarmō̃ kā vināśh kartē haĩ .
26This knowledge is light through which you destroy the sins of your many past births.
25Anēk janm prālabdh prāpt karnē kē liē anēk janmō̃ kā hisāb khatm karnā hai .
27In order to attain a reward for many births, you have to ftnish the accounts of many births.
26Ab ham kitnā puruṣhārth kartē haĩ , uskō hī knowledge athavā rōśhnī kahā jātā hai .
28How much effort we make is called knowledge, that is, enlightenment.
27Bākī tō anēk prakār K|kē puruṣhārth haĩ , unsē phir us prakār key|kī siddhi miltī hai .
29But there are many other types of effort through which we receive success accordingly.
28Hamkō phir is puruṣhārth sē sarv siddhiyā̃ mil jātī haĩ , agyān kā andhkār miṭ jātā hai .
30Through this effort we receive complete success and the darkness of ignorance is dispelled.
31Achcha.
