1Essence: Sweet children, keep your temper very sweet. 2Don’t cause anyone sorrow even by mistake. 3To speak bad words, to get angry, to scold someone are all ways of causing sorrow.

Question

2Praśhna  : māyā bachchō̃ key|kī parīkṣhā kis rūp mē̃ lētī hai  ? 3Us parīkṣhā mē̃ aḍōl rahnē key|kī vidhi kyā hai  ?

4Question: In what form does Maya set you children an examination and how can you remain unshakeable during that examination?

Answer

4Uttar  : mukhya parīkṣhā ātī hai kām aur krōdh K|kē rūp mē̃ .

5Answer: The main examinations come in the forms of lust and anger. 6It is very difficult to stop these two from chasing you. 7The evil spirit of anger repeatedly knocks on your door.

5Yah dōnō̃ muśhkil hī pīchhā chhōṛtē haĩ .

8It watches to see whether you are barking at someone.

6Krōdh kā bhūt ghaṛī-ghaṛī darvājā khaṛkātā hai .

9Many types of storm come to shake the lamp.

7Dēkhtā hai yah kahā̃ bhaũ-bhaũ tō nahī̃ kartē . 8Anēk prakār K|kē tūphān dīpak kō hilānē key|kī kōśhiśh kartē haĩ . 9In parīkṣhāō̃ mē̃ aḍōl rahnē kē liē ēk sarvśhaktimān bāp sē yōg rakhnā hai .

10The way to remain unshakeable during these examinations is to have yoga with the Father who is the Almighty Authority. 11Let the drums of happiness play inside you.

10Andar khuśhī K|kē nagāṛē bajtē rahē̃ . 11Gyān aur yōgbal hī in parīkṣhāō̃ sē pās|pass karā saktā hai .

12Only this knowledge and the power of yoga can enable you to pass these examinations.

Song

12Gīt  : nirbal key|kī laṛāī balvān sē . . .

13Song: This war is between the weak and the powerful; this is the story of the lamp and the storms.

Murli

13Ōm śhānti .

14Om shanti.

14Bachchē samajhtē haĩ aur bāp bhī samjhātē haĩ ki tum phir sē āyē hō pārlaukik bāp kē pās aur sab haĩ laukik bāp .

15The Father explains and you children understand that you have come once again to the Father from beyond. 16All the rest are physical fathers.

15Yahā̃ haĩ sab āsurī buddhi , satyug mē̃ haĩ daivī buddhi . 16Āsurī kē bād phir daivī jarūr bannā hai .

17At this time, everyone has a devilish intellect, whereas in the golden age everyone has a divine intellect.

17Āsurī aur daivī , patit aur pāvan mē̃ fark bahut hai .

18After becoming devilish, you definitely have to become divine again.

18Tum jāntē hō ham pāvan thē phir rāvaṇ nē patit banāyā hai .

19There is a great deal of difference between being devilish and being divine, being impure and being pure.

19Abhī phir bāp dvārā ham phir sē pāvan duniyā kā varsā lē rahē haĩ , satyugī rājya-bhāgya kā - vah bhī 21 janmō̃ kē liē .

20You know that you were pure and that Ravan then made you impure. 21We are now once again claiming our inheritance of the pure world, our fortune of the kingdom of the golden age, for 21 births from the Father.

20Jab bābā bachchō̃ kō kahtē haĩ tab yād kartē haĩ , phir bhūl jātē haĩ .

22It is only when Baba tells you children that you remember it, but you then forget it.

21Jō bāt yād rahtī hai vah phir aurō̃ kō samjhānē kē liē dil ṭapaktī hai .

23When something is remembered, the heart is eager to tell others about it.

22Yād nahī̃ hōgī tō dil ṭapakēgī nahī̃ . 23Phir vah khuśhī key|kī uchhal nahī̃ āyēgī . 24Murjhāī huī śhakla dikhāī dēgī .

24If it is not remembered, the heart neither has that desire to tell others, nor does that wave of happiness emerge; the face would seem wilted.

25Abhī tum jāntē hō ham phir sē gavāyā huā satyug kā rājya-bhāgya lē rahē haĩ .

25You know that we are now claiming our fortune of the kingdom of the golden age that we lost.

26Vah jō kriściyan sē rājya ganvāyā thā vah tō lē liyā . 27Parantu māyā nē hamārā rājya chhīnā hai , yah kōī kō patā nahī̃ hai .

26The land that was lost to the Christians has already been reclaimed, but no one knows that it was Maya who snatched away your kingdom.

28Kriściyan sē tō rājya lē liyā haṭh sē , bhūkh haṛtāl ādi karkē .

27This land has already been reclaimed from the Christians by force and hunger strikes etc.

29Yahā̃ tō vah kōī bāt nahī̃ .

28There is no question of that here.

30Tumhārī dil mē̃ hai ham 5 hajār varṣh pahlē muāphik phir sē rājya-bhāgya prāpt kartē haĩ , bāp key|kī śhrīmat par chalnē sē .

29It is in your hearts that you are claiming your fortune of the kingdom once again, just as you did 5000 years ago, by following the Father’s shrimat.

31Ismē̃ talvār ādi kuchh bhī chalānē key|kī mat nahī̃ dētē .

30He doesn’t instruct you to use a sword etc.

32Kahtē haĩ bachchē sweet temper banō .

31He says: Children, keep your temper sweet. 32Become very sweet.

33Bahut mīṭhē banō . 34Satyug mē̃ śhēr bakrī bhī ikaṭṭhē jal pītē thē .

33In the golden age, both the lion and the lamb drink water together from the same pool.

35Ēk dō K|kē pyār mē̃ rahtē thē .

34They live with one another with love.

36Duḥkh kā war|vār nahī̃ hōtā . 37Yahā̃ duḥkh kā war|vār bahut hōtā hai .

35They do not attack anyone or cause sorrow, whereas here, there are many attacks of sorrow.

38Kām kaṭārī chalānā , yah bhī duḥkh kā war|vār hai .

36To use the sword of lust is also an attack of sorrow.

39Kiskō burē vachan kahnā vā krōdh karnā , ḍāṇṭnā yah bhī duḥkh dēnā hai .

37To say bad words to someone, to get angry and scold someone is also to cause that one sorrow.

40Bāp kahtē haĩ kiskō bhī yah duḥkh nahī̃ dēnā hai .

38The Father says: Don’t cause sorrow for anyone in this way.

41Apnā mijāz bahut mīṭhā banāō .

39Make your temper very sweet.

42Bhūlē-cūkē bhī duḥkh dēnē kā kām nahī̃ karō .

40Do not do anything that causes sorrow for anyone even by mistake.

43Śhrīkr̥iṣhṇa kē liē kahtē haĩ itnī rāniyō̃ kō bhagāyā .

41It is said of Shri Krishna that he abducted many queens.

44Tō bhī kahtē haĩ bhagāyā sukh dēnē kē liē .

42Nevertheless, it is still said that he abducted them in order to make them happy!

45Abhī tum samajh gayē hō śhrīkr̥iṣhṇa key|kī bāt nahī̃ hai .

43You now know that it is not a question of Shri Krishna.

46Bhāgavat kē sāth gītā kā , gītā kē sāth phir mahābhārat laṛāī kā connection hai .

44The Bhagawad is connected to the Gita and the Mahabharat War is also connected to the Gita.

47Abhī vahī saṅgamyug hai .

45It is now that same confluence age.

48Śhrīkr̥iṣhṇa kā tō nām hī nahī̃ .

46There is no mention of Shri Krishna.

49Śhrīkr̥iṣhṇa key|kī rājdhānī hai satyug mē̃ .

47The kingdom of Shri Krishna is in the golden age.

50Śhrīkr̥iṣhṇa nē kōī patit kō pāvan banānē kē liē kabhī rākhī nahī̃ bāndhī .

48Shri Krishna did not tie rakhis for changing impure ones into pure ones.

51Yah hai patit kō pāvan banānē kā utsav . 52Sō tō patit-pāvan paramātmā hī hai na ki śhrīkr̥iṣhṇa .

49That festival is for purifying the impure and it is the Supreme Soul, the Purifier, and not Shri Krishna, who carries out that task.

53Śhrīkr̥iṣhṇa kā janm tō satyug mē̃ huā .

50Shri Krishna took birth in the golden age.

54Vahā̃ tō kaṅs , rāvaṇ , sūpnakhā ādi hō na sakē̃ .

51Kans, Ravan, Supnaka, etc., cannot exist there.

55Yah is samay haĩ āsurī sampradāy .

52It is at this time that the community of devils exists.

56In sab bātō̃ kō tum abhī samajhtē hō .

53You now understand all of these things.

57Tumhārī buddhi mē̃ hai hamnē bēhad K|kē bāp sē anēk bār rājyōg sīkhā aur 21 janm rājya pad pāyā hai phir māyā sē rājya-bhāgya ganvāyā hai .

54It is in your intellects that you have studied Raj Yoga with the unlimited Father innumerable times and claimed a status in the kingdom for 21 births and that you then lost your fortune of the kingdom through Maya.

58Jō ma bāp dādē K|kē dil par chaṛhē huē bachchē haĩ , vahī takhtnaśhīn banē̃gē .

55The children who climb into the hearts of the mother, the father and the Grandfather become worthy to sit on the throne.

59Jō pharmānbardār nahī̃ vah kyā pad pāyēṅgē .

56What status would those who are not obedient claim?

60Pad pānā chāhiē sūryavanśhī .

57You have to claim a status in the sun-dynasty kingdom.

61Nahī̃ tō pāī paisē K|kē dās dāsī jākar banē̃gē .

58Otherwise, you will become maids and servants who are only worth pennies.

62Bāpdādā key|kī āgyā par nahī̃ chaltē haĩ .

59Some do not follow BapDada’s directions.

63Brahmā key|kī mat bhī maśhhūr hai .

60The instructions of Brahma are famous.

64Śhivbābā key|kī śhrīmat bhī maśhhūr hai .

61Shiv Baba’s shrimat is also famous.

65Tō brahmā aur śhivbābā kē sāth unhō̃ K|kē aulād key|kī bhī mat maśhhūr hōnī chāhiē .

62Along with Brahma and Shiv Baba, the directions of their children should also be famous.

66Tumkō śhivbābā aur brahmā dōnō̃ key|kī mat par chalnā chāhiē tab tō śhrēṣhṭh banē̃gē .

63You have to follow the directions of both Shiv Baba and Brahma, because only then will you become elevated.

67Māt-pitā bhī śhrēṣhṭh bannē kē liē kitnī achchhī dhārṇā kartē haĩ , sab bachchō̃ kō paṛhātē haĩ .

64In order to become elevated, the mother and father have such good dharna. 65They teach all the children.

68Murlī sab bachchō̃ kē pās jātī hai .

66All the children receive murlis.

69Inkā part hī hai paṛhānē kā .

67This one’s part is to teach.

70Kaī bachchē aisē bhī haĩ jō ma bāp sē bhī achchhā paṛhātē haĩ .

68There are some children who teach better than the mother and father.

71Śhivbābā key|kī tō bāt hī ūñch ṭhaharī .

69There is no comparison to Shiv Baba.

72Parantu mama bābā sē bhī is samay hōśhiyār bachchē haĩ . 73Bhal sampūrṇ tō kōī banā nahī̃ hai .

70He is the highest of all anyway. 71At this time, some of you children become cleverer than Mama and Baba.

74Kuchh na kuchh kāṇṭē bhī lagtē haĩ , māyā kā war|vār hōtā hai .

72No one has become complete; one thorn or another continues to prick when Maya attacks.

75Dīvē kō tūphān lagtē haĩ .

73Storms come to the lamps.

76Jitnā gyān aur yōg mē̃ rahē̃gē tō is ghr̥it sē tumhārī jyōti jagī rahēgī .

74The more you stay in gyan and yoga, the brighter you lamps will remain with this oil.

77Kōī dīpak mē̃ ghr̥it thōṛā kam hō jātā hai tō light kam hō jātī hai .

75When there is not much oil left in a lamp, its light becomes dim.

78Kōī kā dīvā bahut achchhā jaltā rahtā hai .

76The lamps of some remain burning very brightly.

79Ātmā rūpī dīvē kō hī tūphān lagtā hai .

77Storms come to souls, that is, to the lamps.

80Tūphān tō lagē̃gē , bābā kahtē haĩ number one anubhavī maĩ hū̃ .

78Storms will come. 79Baba says: I am the one who is number one in experiencing these.

81Rustam sē jarūr māyā rustam hōkar laṛēgī .

80Maya becomes powerful with a powerful one.

82Bāp samjhātē haĩ hē dīvē aisē-aisē tūphān āyēṅgē , parantu karmēndriyō̃ sē kōī pāp karma nahī̃ karnā .

81The Father explains: O lamps, storms will come but do not perform any sin through your sense organs.

83Kōī nē kuchh kahā tō ēk kān sē sun dūsrē sē nikāl diyā , aisā abhyās karnā paṛē .

82If someone says anything, listen with one ear and let it out of the other; let there be this practice.

84Krōdh bhī manuṣhya key|kī pūrī hī satyānāśh kar dētā hai .

83Anger completely destroys a person.

85Yah bhī baṛī parīkṣhā hōtī hai .

84That too is a big examination.

86Krōdh kā bhūt ākar darvājā ṭhōkatē haĩ , dēkhē̃ bhaũ-bhaũ kartē haĩ .

85The vice of anger comes and knocks on your door. 86It sees whether the soul is barking.

87Agar kōī bhaũ-bhaũ karnē lag paṛtē haĩ tō dīvā bujh jātā hai .

87As soon as someone begins to bark, the lamp goes out.

88Māyā sabkī parīkṣhā lētī rahtī hai .

88Maya continues to set examinations for everyone.

89Samjhā jātā hai inmē̃ tō krōdh thā nahī̃ . 90Ab phir inmē̃ krōdh ā gayā hai .

89It is understood for some that they didn’t used to have anger but that they now do have anger.

91Bābā kē pās bahut achchhē-achchhē bachchē thē , māyā kā tūphān sahan nahī̃ kar sakē tō gir paṛē phir kahā jātā hai kismat .

90Baba had many good children but they weren’t able to tolerate the storms of Maya, and so they fell. 91It is then said that that is their fortune.

92Ham parīkṣhā mē̃ ṭhahar nahī̃ saktē .

92They weren’t able to withstand an examination.

93Bachchō̃ kō tō parīkṣhā mē̃ baṛā aṛōl rahnā hai , aṅgad misal .

93You children have to remain as completely unshakeable as Angad during any examination.

94Yah bhī ēk misāl hai . 95Tum bachchō̃ K|kē andar khuśhī K|kē nagāṛē bajnē chāhiē .

94That too is an example, because there is no such being as Hanuman. 95Let the drums of happiness play inside you children.

96Sarvśhaktimān bābā kē sāth yōg rakhnē sē madad āpēhī miltī rahtī hai .

96By having yoga with the Father, the Almighty Authority, you automatically receive help.

97Kōī hathiyār pãvār nahī̃ lētē .

97You do not use the power of weapons.

98Bābā sab yukti sikhlātē haĩ .

98Baba teaches you all the methods.

99Bāp kō yād karō tō vikarma vināśh hōṅgē .

99Remember the Father and your sins will be absolved.

100Krōdh key|kī bhī stages hōtī haĩ .

100There are also different stages of anger.

101Kām kā bhūt tō baṛā kharāb hai .

101The evil spirit of lust is very bad.

102Śhal kōī mē̃ kām kā bhūt phir sē pravēśh na karē .

102May the evil spirit of lust not enter anyone again!

103Unkō yōgbal sē nikāl dēnā hai .

103You have to use the power of yoga to remove it.

104Yōg sē hī krōdh kā bhūt bhī nikaltā hai .

104The evil spirit of anger is also removed by having yoga.

105Ghaṛī-ghaṛī darvājā khaṭkātē haĩ .

105It knocks on your door again and again.

106Kahā̃ margin dēkhī aur ghus paṛtē .

106Wherever it sees a margin, it enters.

107Yah 5 chōr andar bahut ghāṭā ḍāl dētē haĩ .

107These five thieves cause a great deal of loss within you.

108Ham kitnē sāhūkār thē , 5 vikārō̃ nē kitnā kaṅgāl banā diyā hai .

108We used to be so wealthy! 109The five vices have made you poverty-stricken.

109Inkā baṛā sardār hai kām , second number hai krōdh .

110The leader of these is lust. 111The second number is anger.

110Kām bachchū bādśhāh hai . 111Baṛā muśhkil sē pīchhā chhōṛtē haĩ .

112It is with great difficulty that lust, the child emperor, leaves you alone.

112Baṛā bhārī duśhman hai , bahut taṅg kartē haĩ .

113It is a very great enemy; it causes great distress.

113Bichārī ablāyē̃ kitnī mār khātī haĩ .

114Poor, innocent ones are beaten so much.

114Unhō̃ key|kī phariyād sunī nahī̃ jātī .

115You can’t even bear to hear their complaints.

115Yah phariyād sirph ēk bāp hī sunnē vālā hai .

116It is only the one Father who hears these complaints.

116Parantu vah bhī sachchē jō hōṅgē unhō̃ key|kī sunē̃gē . 117Jhūṭhō̃ key|kī nahī̃ .

117However, Baba will only listen to the complaints of those who are honest, not of those who are false.

118Tō yah vikār manuṣhya kō ēkdam dirty banā dētē haĩ .

118Therefore, these vices make human beings totally dirty.

119Krōdh key|kī bīmārī uthal paṛī tō krōdh apnī bhī satyānāśh karātē haĩ , dūsrē key|kī bhī khurāk band hō jātī hai .

119When the sickness of anger erupts in you, it not only destroys you, but it even spoils the nourishment of others.

120Haṅgāmā hōtā hai . 121Tō bāp sē jō khurāk lēnē ātē haĩ unhō̃ kā vah band hō jātā hai .

120It creates upheaval and stops those who want to come to take nourishment from Baba.

122Unhō̃ par bandhan ā jātā hai . 123Phir unkī avināśhī bhaviṣhya janma-janmāntar key|kī ājīvikā band hō jātī hai . 124Aisē jō parampitā paramātmā sē varsā lēnē mē̃ vighna ḍāltē haĩ un par kitnā pāp paṛēgā .

121Bondage is imposed on them and their future income for innumerable births is stopped. 122How great would be the sins of those who put obstacles in front of the ones claiming their inheritance from the Supreme Father, the Supreme Soul?

125Bāt mat pūchhō .

123Don’t even ask!

126Vah jaisē ki apnē ūpar kr̥ipā kē badlē śhrāp ḍāltē haĩ .

124Instead of having mercy on themselves, it is as though they are cursing themselves.

127Kōī traitor ban jātē haĩ tō kitnē kā nuksān kartē haĩ .

125If someone becomes a traitor, he causes damage to so many.

128Bhaviṣhya hīrē jaisā jīvan banānē mē̃ rūkāvaṭ paṛtī hai isliē bāp kahtē haĩ mahāpāpī , mahā-bēsamajh , mahā-kamabakhta dēkhnā hō tō yahā̃ dēkhō .

126They experience obstructions in making their future lives like a diamond. 127This is why the Father says: If you want to see great sinners, great fools and greatly unfortunate ones, you can see them here!

129Kōī akhbār mē̃ ulṭā-sulṭā ḍāl lētē haĩ tō bichārī mātāō̃ par kitnī āpdāyē̃ ā jātī haĩ .

128If incorrect things are printed in the newspapers, it causes many difficulties for the poor mothers.

130Jāntē huē aur phir kuchh kartē haĩ tō un par dharmarāj key|kī kitnī mār paṛēgī .

129If they know this and still do bad things, then how much punishment they would receive from Dharamraj!

131Bāp kahtē haĩ aisā kām kōī nahī̃ karē jō traitor banē aur ablāō̃ par atyāchār hō .

130The Father says: Do not become traitors and perform such actions that innocent ones are beaten as a result.

132Unkō gājī bhī kahā jātā hai .

131They are also known as furious ones.

133Māthē mē̃ khūn kā temperature chaṛh jātā hai tō phir talvār uṭhākar mārnē lag paṛtē haĩ .

132The temperature of the blood in their heads rises so much that they would even pick up a sword and be ready to kill.

134Phir unkō phānsī par chaṛhā dētē haĩ .

133They would then be hanged on the gallows.

135Yahā̃ bhī aisē ban paṛtē haĩ .

134Some here also become like that.

136Kōī mē̃ krōdh kā bhūt ā jātā hai tō kitnō̃ key|kī ājīvikā band kar dētē haĩ .

135When the vice of anger enters them, they stop so many from earning their income.

137Bāp kahtē haĩ aisē kē liē phir bahut kaṛī sajā hai .

136The Father says: The punishment for such souls is very severe.

138Jō traitor ban vighna ḍāltē haĩ unkē ūpar baṛā pāp chaṛhtā hai .

137Those who become traitors and create obstacles accumulate huge sins on their heads.

139Chaṛhē tō chākhē vaikuṇṭha ras , girē tō ēkdam chaknāchūr . . . . . yā tō vaikuṇṭha kā mālik yā tō naukar chākar .

138Those who ascend taste the nectar of heaven but, if they fall, every bone in their bodies is crushed.

140Aisā kām jō karēgā tō itnā hī pāp ātmā bhī banēgā .

139Here, you can either become a master of heaven or a servant.

141Bahutō̃ kō duḥkh dēnē kē nimitt ban jātē haĩ .

140Those who perform such actions become such sinful souls.

142Bābā kō taras paṛtā hai . 143Mātāō̃ kā tō regard rakhnā hai .

141They become instruments to cause sorrow for many.

144Vandē mātaram gāī jātī hai .

142Baba has great mercy on them.

145Bāp ākar kalaṣh mātāō̃ par rakhtē haĩ , un par atyāchār bahut hōtē haĩ .

143The mothers have to be given regard. 144It is said: Salutations to the mothers.

146Tō sikīladhē bachchō̃ kō madad bahut dēnī chāhiē .

145The Father comes and places the urn of nectar on the mothers.

147Agar kōī madad kē badlē aur hī ulṭā kām kartē haĩ tō kitnā nuksān hō jāyēgā .

146They are assaulted a great deal, and so a great deal of help has to be given to those long-lost and now-found children.

148Bahut sapūt bannā hai . 149Asur kō dēvtā banānā hai .

147If someone performs wrong actions instead of helping, so much damage is caused.

150Bābā tumhārā jītē jī nayā chitra banātē haĩ .

148You have to become extremely capable in order to change devils into deities.

151Artist lōg chitra banātē haĩ nā .

149Baba creates your new portraits while you are alive.
