1Ātmā apnā hī mitr , apnā hī śhatru hai , jō karēgā vah pāyēgā
1The soul is its own friend and its own enemy. 2Everyone receives the return of whatever they do.
Song
2Gīt : mukhṛā dēkh lē prāṇī … .
3Song: See your face in the mirror of your heart. ...
Murli
3Ōm śhānti .
4Om shanti.
4Knowledge kō darpaṇ kahā jātā hai .
5Knowledge is said to be a mirror.
5Yah paramātmā key|kī avināśhī knowledge darpaṇ hai !
6This imperishable knowledge from God is a mirror!
6Issē sārā patā lagtā hai ki manuṣhya ātmā key|kī kahānī athavā karma - kahānī kyā hai ?
7You can know the story of human souls, that is, what the story of their karma is.
7Ab gyān K|kē darpaṇ mē̃ kyā dēkhē̃gē ?
8What will you now see in the mirror of knowledge?
8Andar tō bahut kālī , mailī ātmā baiṭhī hai .
9Internally, a very dirty, ugly soul sitting there.
9Vah samajhtē paramātmā baiṭhā hai . 10Lēkin paramātmā tō andar nahī̃ baiṭhā hai .
10People think that God is sitting there, but God is not sitting in anyone.
11Paramātmā kō ānā paṛtā hai .
11God has to come here.
12Isliē avataraṇ gāyā huā hai .
12This is why an incarnation has been remembered.
13Kahtē haĩ - jab-jab dharm glāni hōtī hai , tab-tab maĩ ātā hū̃ .
13He says: I come when there is extreme irreligiousness.
14Baiṭhā hō tō yah kah nahī̃ saktē .
14If He were sitting here, He could not say this.
15Jab ātē haĩ tō ākar rōśhnī dētē haĩ ki tum kitnē svachchha thē , ab kitnē kālē banē hō !
15When He comes, He enlightens us as to how clean we were, and how ugly we have now become.
16Kahānī bhī iskī hai .
16The story is about this.
17Ismē̃ ādi-madhy-ant ā jātā hai .
17The beginning, the middle and the end are included in this.
18Yah ēk jīvan key|kī bāt nahī̃ hai lēkin jab sē is stage par part śhuru huā hai tab sē ab tak key|kī kahānī chalī āī hai .
18This is not a question of one life, but the story from the time that we began to playa part on this stage until now.
19Bīch mē̃ vāpas tō gaē nahī̃ haĩ .
19We did not return home in-between.
20Tō samjhātē haĩ ki śhuru sē ātmā kaisē part bajātī āī hai .
20So Baba explains how the soul has been playing a part from the beginning.
21Yah hai ab hamārē sāmnē darpaṇ athavā knowledge .
21This knowledge is a mirror in front of us.
22Is darpaṇ mē̃ nirākārī duniyā sē lēkar ākār-sākār sr̥iṣhṭi key|kī sārī samjhānī hai .
22In this mirror, there is the entire explanation of everything from the incorporeal world to the subtle and the corporeal worlds.
23Manuṣhya bhal vēd - śhāstra adhyayan kartē haĩ lēkin darpaṇ tō miltā nahī̃ jissē dēkhē̃ ki ātmā kahā̃ sē mailī huī hai tō sāf karē̃ .
23Although people study the Vedas and scriptures, they do not find a mirror through which they can fmd out how the soul has become dirty or how they can clean it.
24Yadi ussē ātmā sāph hōtī tō duniyā key|kī yah result nahī̃ hōtī .
24If the soul were cleansed through that, then the state of the world would not be what it is today.
25Duniyā vālē tō kahtē haĩ ki kaliyug abhī bachchā hai .
25People of the world say that kaliyug is still a small child.
26Aur baṛā hōgā tō kyā hall|hāl hōgā ?
26What would be its state if it were to grow bigger?
27Darpaṇ hōtā tō kyō̃ mailī hōnē dētē , sāph kar dētē .
27If they had a mirror, why would they let the soul get dirty?
28Tō apnē kō darpaṇ milā hai .
28They would keep the soul clean, would they not?
29Isliē jāntē haĩ ki paramātmā kā ab ānā zarurī hai .
29We have received a mirror. 30This is why we know that it is essential for God to come at this time.
30Ātē haĩ tō zarur unkā nivās sthān kōī hai .
31Since He comes, He must definitely have a place of residence.
31Vah dūr dēśh nivāsī hai .
32He is a Resident of the far-away land.
32Unkā karttavya bhī hai lēkin aisē nahī̃ , yah vināśh-sthāpanā kā kārya sadaiv chaltā rahtā hai .
33He has a task, but it isn't that the task of destruction and establishment continues all the time.
33Yah janm-maraṇ tō apnē karmō̃ sē hōtā hai .
34Birth and death take place according to one's own karmic accounts.
34Issē tō duḥkhī hō rahē haĩ .
35People are experiencing sorrow because of this.
35Agar paramātmā kā yah karttavya hai tō paramātmā duḥkh dēnē vālā ṭhaharā|ṭhahrā .
36If this is God's task, then God is giving sorrow.
36Lēkin paramātmā key|kī mahimā hai sukhdātā .
37But God's praise is that He is the Bestower of Happiness.
37Duḥkh dēnē vālē kō thōṛē hī yād kiyā jātā hai .
38Generally you do not remember someone who gives you sorrow.
38Tō zarur vināśh , sthāpanā kā kōī aur tarīkā hai .
39So there must be some other method of destruction and establishment.
39Tō paramātmā samjhātē haĩ - - " jissē duḥkhī huē hō unkā vināśh karnē ātā hū̃ .
40So God explains: I come to destroy that through which you experienced sorrow.
40Pāpō̃ kā vināśh karnē vālā aur pāpātmāō̃ kā uddhār karnē vālā hū̃ .
41I am the One who destroys sin and uplifts sinful souls.
41 » ab tō pāpātmāō̃ key|kī khūb vr̥iddhi hō rahī hai .
42Sinful souls are now increasing in number a great deal.
42Ab bāp unhō̃ kā uddhār kar daivī sr̥iṣhṭi key|kī sthāpanā kartē haĩ .
43Baba uplifts them and establishes the divine world.
43Phir unkī pālnā kē liē hamārī bhī prālabdh banātē haĩ .
44Then He also enables us to create our reward through the sustenance of that world.
44Phir tō yah kārya karnē key|kī darkār nahī̃ hai .
45Then there is no need to carry out this task.
45Paramātmā kā ānā bhī ēk time par hōnā chāhiē .
46The coming of God should only be at a particular time.
46Jab jhāṛ bilkul purānā hō jātā hai tab bāp kalam lagātē haĩ .
47Baba plants a sapling when the tree has become totally old.
47Tō uskā bhī time hai nā .
48So there is a time for that too.
48Jab vr̥iddhi hō rahī hai tab tō kalam nahī̃ lagāyēṅgē .
49He will not plant a sapling when expansion is taking place.
49Tō paramātmā K|kē karttavya kā bhī time hai .
50So there is a time for God's activities.
50Ab āvē tō vah bhī ēk jagah āēgā .
51Even if He were to come now, He would come in one place.
51Kahā̃ ākar sthāpanā karē - vah bhī hisāb-kitāb samjhātē haĩ .
52He also explains the accounts of where He comes and carries out the establishment.
52Bhārat hī hai jō satōpradhān thā , dūsrē dharm pīchhē vr̥iddhi huē haĩ .
53It is only Bharat that was satopradhan, all the other religions expanded later.
53Śhuru sē yah bhārat thā jahā̃ daivī dharm aur rājya thā .
54Bharat has existed from the beginning where there were the deity kingdom and religion.
54Ab vah nahī̃ hai .
55Now they do not exist.
55Isliē paramātmā kō usī key|kī sthāpanā kē liē ānā paṛtā hai .
56This is why God has to come to establish them.
56Ānē kā time bhī ēk hī bār hai .
57He only comes once.
57Achchhā , āvē tō kismē̃ āvē ?
58Achcha, if He does come, in whom should He come?
58Manuṣhya tan kā ādhār lēnā paṛē .
59He has to take the support of a human body.
59Manuṣhya ātmāō̃ sē puruṣhārth karāē prālabdh banānī paṛē .
60He has to inspire human souls to make effort in order to create their reward.
60Manuṣhya ātmāē̃ girī kahā̃ sē haĩ ?
61How have human souls fallen?
61Karmō̃ sē girī haĩ . 62Tō karmō̃ kō sudhārnē , samjhānē liē manuṣhya-tan kā ādhār lēnā paṛē .
62They have fallen through their actions, and so to reform your actions and to explain to you, God has to take the support of a human body.
63Ānā bhī us manuṣhya-tan mē̃ paṛē jiskī prālabdh śhuru sē pahlā number hō , jiskō Adam kahō , Adam kahō .
63He has to enter a human body whose reward is fixed as being number one ever since the beginning, one whom you can call Adam.
64Yah tō unkō banāyēgā nā jō pahlē dēvtā haĩ , jō phir pahlē hī mailē banē haĩ , usmē̃ hī ākar batātā hū̃ .
64He would make a deity of this one who was first. 65I come and tell you through the one who has become dirty first.
65Tō paramātmā K|kē ānē K|kē bhī circumstance haĩ .
66So there are circumstances for God's coming.
66Hisāb-kitāb sē āēgā nā .
67He would come at the right time.
67Khud tō huā akartā , abhōktā .
68He Himself is abhogta and akarta (One who does not experience the result of action and One who does not do, but inspires others to do).
68Vah ātmāō̃ sē karāyēgā nā – jō śhuru vālī ātmāyē̃ haĩ , jinhō̃ kā ८४ vā̃ janm hō .
69He inspires souls who have been here from the beginning; who have taken the complete eighty-four births.
69Sabkē tō ८४ janm nahī̃ haĩ .
70Not everyone takes eighty-four births.
70Pīchhē vālō̃ K|kē cum|kam janm haĩ .
71Those who come later take fewer births.
71Unhō̃ mē̃ tō nahī̃ ā saktā .
72God could not possibly come in them, could He?
72Nayā kalam tō śhuru sē lagēgā nā .
73A new sapling would have to be planted from the beginning.
73Tō paramātmā baiṭh sārē plan kō samjhātē haĩ .
74So God sits and explains the entire plan.
74Aisē kārya karnā paṛtā hai .
75He has to carry out His task in this way.
75Nahī̃ tō kaisē karē̃ ?
76How else could He carty it out?
76Kōī rāy dēvē .
77Karānā tō manuṣhyō̃ sē hai .
77He has to carry it out through human beings.
78Aisē tō nahī̃ khud hī kartā hai .
78It isn't that He does it Himself.
79Phir tō bhōgnā bhī uskō paṛē .
79Then He would also have to experience the result.
80Lēkin kahtē haĩ - - " ātmā apnā hī mitr hai , apnā hī śhatru hai .
80But it is said: The soul is its own friend and its own enemy.
81Jō karēgā vah pāēgā .
81Those who do something will receive the result of it.
82" tō paramātmā tō nahī̃ kartā hai nā .
82So God does not do anything.
83Ātmāō̃ sē hī karātē haĩ .
83He inspires souls to do.
84Aur kōī tarīkā nahī̃ .
84There is no other method.
85Sab kāydē sē karnā hai .
85He has to do everything accortllng to the laws.
86Vikarmō̃ key|kī sajāē̃ bhī bhōgnī paṛtī haĩ .
86One has to experience punishment for sins committed.
87Puruṣhārthiyō̃ kō prālabdh dēnī paṛtī hai .
87A reward has to be given to those who make effort.
88Isliē kaisē apnā kārya kartē haĩ - - vah samjhātē haĩ .
88This is why He explains how He carries out His task.
89Ākārī dēvtāō̃ sē bhī madad lētē haĩ .
89He also takes help from the subtle deities.
90Rachnā dvārā hī naī rachnā rachnī paṛtī hai .
90It is through the creation that the new creation has to be created.
91Maĩ tō nyārā hū̃ .
91I am totally detached.
92Mujhē in bātō̃ mē̃ jānā nahī̃ hai .
921 do not have to become involved in these matters.
93Karānā hai svachchha ātmāō̃ sē aur sr̥iṣhṭi phir ēkdam pāpātmā hai .
93I have to carry out the task through clean, pure souls. 94However the world is that of totally sinful souls.
94Tō kitnī difficulty hai ! 95Tō aisī yukti sē karnā paṛtā hai .
95There is so much difficulty and so He has to do everything with a particular method.
96Nahī̃ tō kaisē karē̃ jō sabhī kāydē mē̃ kāyam rahē̃ ?
96How else would He carry out this task and yet be within the laws?
97Kahtē – mērē karttavya kō bhī vah jān saktē jō mērē sāth is kārya mē̃ madadgār haĩ .
97He says: Only those who are the helpers in My task can know My task.
98Bākī tō sabkō vāpas muktidhām mē̃ jānā hai .
98Everyone has to return to the land of liberation.
99Unhō̃ kā bhī apnē-apnē samay par golden age hai . 100Yah bātē̃ samajhnē , samjhānē key|kī buddhi chāhiē .
99They all have their own golden age at their own time. you need a good intellect to understand and explain these things.
101Bākī yadi bhagvān hī karankarāvanhār hai tō phir ham puruṣhārth kā kyō̃ sōchē̃ ?
100But if God is the One who does everything, why should we even think about making effort?
102Lēkin karmō̃ key|kī responsibility hamārē ūpar hī hai .
101The responsibility of actions is on us.
103Achchhē-burē karmō̃ kā phal bhī hamkō milnā hai .
102We are the ones who receive the fruit of good or bad actions.
104Bāp ākar achchhē karmō̃ kā gyān dētē haĩ .
103Baba comes and gives us the knowledge of good actions.
105Bābā sē jaisē yah varsā lētē haĩ . 106Lēkin jab unsē yōg lagāyē̃ .
104We are claiming this inheritance from Baba, but only when we have yoga with Him.
107Ham kahtē haĩ - bābā hai , dādā hai , varsā dētē haĩ . 108Unsē sambandh jōṛē̃gē tab tō milēgā nā .
105We say: Father and Grandfather, give us an inheritance, but we can only receive it when we have a relationship with Him.
109Ham bhī nirākār ātmāyē̃ , vah bhī nirākār param ātmā .
106We are incorporeal souls and He is the incorporeal Supreme Soul.
110Param hai kyōṅki ajanmā hai .
107He is the Supreme because He is beyond rebirth.
111Yah jō mūnjhtē haĩ ki paramātmā ēk tan mē̃ had mē̃ kaisē ātē , vah tō bēhad mē̃ rahnē vālā sarvavyāpī , sarv tan mē̃ virājmān hai ?
108People become confused thinking: How is it possible for God to enter a body and come into the limited when they think He resides in the unlimited, is omnipresent and present in everyone?
112Lēkin iskō bhī samajhnā hai . 113Unkā kaisā plan hai ?
109But you have to understand God and what His plans are.
114Jaisē government K|kē bhī plan bantē haĩ , paramātmā kā bhī plan hai .
110Just as the Government has plans God, too, has plans.
115Tab tō kahtē haĩ sadgati karnē key|kī mat tum jānō .
111This is why it is said: You know Your ways of granting salvation.
116Tō jō jāntē haĩ vahī batātē haĩ .
112Only the One who knows this can tell you about it.
117Sachchā mitr tō vah ṭhaharā|ṭhahrā nā jō hamārē vikarmō kō miṭāē sarvadā sukhī banātē haĩ .
113Only the One who erases our sins and makes us ever-happy is our true Friend.
118Tō kyō̃ na unsē sambandh jōṛē̃ aur sab duḥkh K|kē sambandh tōṛē̃ .
114So why should we not form a relationship with Him and break all relationships of sorrow?
119Kahtē haĩ - tumhārā sambandh phir bhī ātmāō̃ kē sāth juṛēgā lēkin vah hai sukh kā sambandh . 120Yah hai duḥkh kā sambandh , isē tōṛō .
115He says: You will have relationships with souls anyway, but those will be relationships of happiness whereas now they are relationships of sorrow.
121Bhagvānuvāch - yah kām mahāśhatru hai .
116God speaks: Lust is the greatest enemy.
122Manuṣhya samajhtē haĩ – pati-patnī kā sambandh hai hī vikār kē liē . 123Lēkin aisī vikārī pravr̥itti paramātmā nē nahī̃ rachī .
117People think that the relationship between husband and wife is for vice, but God did not create such a vicious family path.
124Buddhi nahī̃ māntī ki aisī gandgī sē utpatti paramātmā nē banāī hō .
118The intellect does not accept that God would have created His creation in such a dirty way.
125Isliē sanyāsī brahmcharya mē̃ rahtē haĩ .
119This is. why sannyasis remain celibate.
126Zarur achchhā hai nā .
120Celibacy must definitely be good.
127Agar śhāstrō̃ anusār yah vikār karnā hak hai tō phir śhāstra sunānē vālē sanyāsī kyō̃ brahmcharya mē̃ rahtē haĩ ?
121If, according to the scriptures, it is their right to indulge in sin, then why do the sannyasis who relate the scriptures remain celibate?
128Yah vichār nahī̃ ātā kyōṅki man-buddhi sahit ātmā bhraṣhṭa hō gayī hai .
122This does not occur to them since the soul, including the mind and the intellect, have become corrupt.
129Ab bābā samjhātē haĩ – mērī rachnā mē̃ yah bāt aṅśh mātra nahī̃ thī .
123Baba now explains: Lust did not exist in my creation, not even the slightest trace ofit.
130Isliē aisē kabhī nahī̃ samajhnā hai ki yah anādi chīz hai , śhuru sē chalī ātī hai .
124Therefore you must never think that this existed eternally, that it has existed from the beginning.
131Nahī̃ .
125No.
132Bāp nē sr̥iṣhṭi key|kī vr̥iddhi kā tarīkā bhī baṛā royal rakhā hai .
126Baba has a very royal way of increasing the world population.
133Ādhā kalp patit hōnē sē bachā dētē haĩ . 134In bātō̃ par buddhi kām nahī̃ kartī hai tō mūnjhtē haĩ .
127He saves you from becoming impure for half a kalpa. When people do not use their intellect in these things they become confused.
135Itnī buddhi nahī̃ hai tab tō buddhivānō̃ key|kī buddhi bāp kahtē haĩ – ab chalō gandī chhī-chhī duniyā sē naī duniyā mē̃ .
128They do not have even this much wisdom and that is why Baba, the Intellect of the Wise, says: Now come away from this dirty world into the new world.
129Achcha.
