How to use this site
Read the bilingual murli to compare Hindi sentences with their translations.
- Start with an English sentence that is difficult to understand. Look at the Hindi on the left, identify the words and read their definitions.
- Over time, reading Hindi alongside English will help you become familiar with the language.
- If a definition seems uncertain, search the murlis containing that word and compare its uses with their translations.
In the Analysis view, the Hindi, Romanised, Analysis, Translation and English checkboxes let you choose what to display. The left column contains Hindi, romanisation, grammatical analysis and word-for-word translation; the right column shows the corresponding English translation.
Why learn Hindi?
You still don't understand Hindi! Because you have to go to the Golden Age, and this language will not be yours there. The language of all of you in the beginning is Hindi, isn't it? So even if you don't know how to speak, you should at least know how to understand. So who understands Hindi? Raise your hands! Make efforts to understand. Because the language in which the Father speaks must be understood, mustn't it? In any case, if the parents speak English, what will the children learn? So you must understand the Father's language. Now remember the words in Hindi. You will learn a little Hindi, will you not? It is only when you instil these sanskars in you a little at this time that you will speak it in the golden age, is it not? There, there won't be all these complicated languages. Because of not understanding Hindi, you don't listen to the Father directly. If you learn it you will listen to Him directly. BapDada feels that children should listen to Him directly. There will be greater pleasure by listening to Him directly.Avyakt murli 01/03/1984 Hindi - Verses 61 to 66 - speaking to the German group
