Origin of the definition
Lever. Lever clock is a mechanical non pendulum clock that sends impulses to the clock's balance wheel and shows accurate time; Lever and cylinder are the names of the inner mechanisms of the clock to turn the hands of the clock. Lever method means a wheel with teeth rotates inside the clock. A lever oscillates back and forth to move this wheel so that the hands of the clock turn. This is a detached mechanism that enhances the accuracy of time. That is why Baba says his children to be accurate like a lever clock.
