Legal information and privacy

Murli Assistant is a personal website for studying murlis and languages.

Publisher and hosting

This website is published in a personal, non-professional capacity. The publisher preserves their public anonymity under Article 1-1 II of the French law on confidence in the digital economy. Their identification details are supplied to the hosting provider.

Hosting: OVH SAS — 2 rue Kellermann, 59100 Roubaix, France — 1007 (France).
Hosting provider’s legal information

A request for a right of reply under that law can be addressed to the hosting provider, who forwards it to the publisher.

Sources and content rights

Source murli texts and the translations derived from them are attributed to the Brahma Kumaris and the relevant rights holders. Study tools, annotations and analyses are distinguished from source texts. The personal nature of this website does not grant permission to reuse this content.

Operation and privacy

No visitor accounts are offered. Sign-in is reserved for site administration. Display preferences and documents saved offline may be kept in your browser to provide the functions you request; the audience counter does not read them.

Technical server logs record IP addresses, dates, requested URLs and browser information for maintenance, security and traffic statistics. Technical errors are also logged. These logs are separate from the aggregate counter, which does not read them. The hosting provider’s technical processing is also separate.

Page consultation statistics

An internal counter adds up visible page consultations, consultations with at least ten visible seconds, and those also involving a mouse press, touch or key press. The content of interactions is not sent.

This counter sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. To estimate distinct daily visitors, it temporarily combines the IP address and browser header with a random secret renewed each day. The resulting hashes remain only in server memory and are removed at the next signal or collection cycle after the day changes. No identifier, IP address, browser information, URL or account data is saved in the totals. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals are respected.

Only totals are saved, in steps of ten: daily and monthly consultations, and estimated daily visitors. No individual history is created. Daily totals are retained for 90 days and monthly totals for thirteen months. No external analytics service receives these measurements.

Daily visitors are estimates, not an exact count of people. A shared network may merge visitors; changes of IP address or browser may split them. Restarts make a day partial. Adding daily uniques does not give monthly uniques. Blockers, lost connections and some bots may affect results. The counter does not work without JavaScript.
