भस्मासुर-पना bhasmāsur-panā
Origin of the definition
(Hinduism) Bhasmāsur, the asur "of Ashes"; he obtained from Śhiv a magic wand that could reduce to ashes any being touched by it; he sought to destroy Śhiv with it, but was deceived by Viṣhṇu who incited him to try it on himself to find that it was ineffective.
(Bābā) One who immolates himself by the fire (of desire).
An affix which, added to substantives and adjectives, forms abstract substantives, denoting condition, state, time of life, occupation, &c., and corresponding to the English words which end in '-hood,' '-ship,' '-ness,' &c.
