Hindi is also shown in Latin characters, using an adapted form of ISO 15919 transliteration.

How to read the transliteration

This site uses transliteration based on ISO 15919, with a few adaptations to make reading easier: h is added after c, ś and ṣ, and i after the vowel r̥. These adaptations bring it closer to the Hunterian system used in India while retaining the distinctive marks of ISO 15919.

A few reading pointers:

  • ā, ī, ū: the line above the letter indicates a long vowel.
  • ṭ, ḍ, ṇ: the dot below distinguishes retroflex consonants from t, d, n.
  • A tilde above a vowel indicates nasalisation.

Earlier definition

Definition

The form of the seed of the Creation of human beings.

Usual translation

  1. Seed of the human world tree

Origin of the definition

बीजरूप bījrūp (sanskrit)

Form of the first cause, form of the source, form of the origin, form of the seed.
(Bābā) God (Śhiv) who has in Himself all the knowledge to recreate the young tree of humanity, that is, human beings in the form of divinities in the golden age. He therefore takes the form of the Seed of the human tree and reveals this form by giving us all his knowledge. Similarly, we can contribute to this new Creation by taking ourselves this form of seed where all the Knowledge of God is available and pours out (we are then similar to God at least temporarily).

का kā (hindi)

का denotes one of the under-mentioned relations between a Noun or a Pronoun and another Noun which follows the former. If the Noun that follows is Feminine (singular or plural), का changes to की; if it is Masculine and Plural, or has an oblique form, का changes to के.
