¹Essence: Sweet children, your vision should not be drawn to bodily beings because the Father, the incorporeal Ocean of Knowledge Himself is the One who is teaching you.

²prashn:- oonch pad ke liye kaun si ek mehnat tum bachche grihastha vyavhaar mein rehte bhi kar sakte ho?

²Question: Which effort are you children able to make to attain a high status while living at home with your families?

³uttar:- grihastha vyavhaar mein rehte sirf gyaan kataari chalaao।

³Answer: While living at home with your families, simply use the sword of knowledge. ⁴Become spinners of the discus of self-realisation and continue to blow the conch shell.

⁴svadarshan chakradhaari bano aur shankh dhvani karte raho। ⁵chalte-phirte behad ke baap ko yaad karo aur usi sukh mein raho to oonch pad mil jaayega। ⁶yahi mehnat hai।

⁵Remember the unlimited Father while walking and moving around and stay in that happiness and you will claim a high status. ⁶This is the effort you have to make.

¹¹satsang va college aadi jo hote hain vahaan dekhne mein aata hai - kaun padhaate hain।

¹¹At spiritual gatherings and colleges, you can see who is teaching you.

¹²nazar padti hai jisma par।

¹²Your vision falls on that body.

¹³college mein kahenge phalaana professor padhaate hain।

¹³At a college, you would say that such-and-such a professor is teaching you.

¹⁴satsang mein kahenge phalaana vidvaan sunaate hain। ¹⁵manushya par hi nazar jaati hai।

¹⁴At a spiritual gathering, you would say that such-and-such a scholar is relating that knowledge.

¹⁶yahaan tumhaari nazar kisi dehdhaari par nahin jaati hai।

¹⁵Your vision falls on human beings. ¹⁶Here, your vision doesn’t fall on a bodily being.

¹⁷tumhaari buddhi mein hai ki niraakaar parampita paramatma is tan dvaara sunaate hain।

¹⁷It is in your intellects that the incorporeal Supreme Father, the Supreme Soul, is speaking to you through this body.

¹⁸buddhi chali jaati hai maat-pita aur baapdaada taraph।

¹⁸Your intellects go to the Mother and Father, BapDada.

¹⁹bachche sunaate hain - to kahenge gyaan saagar baap dvaara suna hua sunaate hain।

¹⁹When children relate something, it is said that they are relating what they have heard from the Father, the Ocean of Knowledge.

²⁰There is a difference.

²¹satsangon mein kuchh bhi sunte hain to samajhte hain phalaana yeh ved sunaate hain।

²¹Whatever they hear at spiritual gatherings, they believe that so-and-so is relating that from the Vedas.

²²manushyon ki martabe par, jaati-paanti par drishti jaati hai। ²³yeh hindu hai, yeh musalmaan hai, drishti vahaan chali jaati hai।

²²People's vision falls on the status and the caste and creed of human beings: this one is a Hindu, this one is a Muslim.

²⁴yahaan tumhaari drishti jaati hai shivbaaba taraph। ²⁵shivbaaba padhaate hain।

²³Their vision falls on that. ²⁴Here, your vision goes to Shiv Baba; Shiv Baba is teaching you.

²⁶abhi baap bhavishya nai duniya ke liye varsa dene aaye hain aur koi aise kah na sake ki he bachchon tumko svarga ke liye raajayog sikhla rahe hain।

³⁰She definitely created her fortune because there are her temples, but people don't know who she was, how she came or what fortune she created.

³¹So, there is the difference of day and night between this study and those studies.

³³yahaan tum samajhte ho gyaan saagar parampita paramatma brahma mukh dvaara padhaate hain।

³²Here, you understand that the Ocean of Knowledge, the Supreme Father, the Supreme Soul, is teaching you through the mouth of Brahma.

³⁴baap aaya hua hai।

³³The Father has come.

³⁵bhakton ke paas bhagwan ko aana hi hai।

³⁴God definitely has to come to the devotees.

³⁶nahin to bhakta bhagwan ko kyon yaad karte hain?

³⁵Why else would devotees remember God?

³⁷sab bhagwan hain - yeh to wrong ho jaata hai।

³⁶It is wrong to say that all are God.

³⁸woh sarvavyaapi ke gyaan vaale apni baat ko siddha karne liye bhi apna 20 naakhoonon ka jor dete hain।

³⁹tumhaara samjhaana alag ho jaata hai। ⁴⁰behad ke baap se bachchon ko hi varsa milta hai।

⁴¹sannyaasiyon ka hai hi vairaagya maarga, nivritti maarga।

⁴⁰Sannyasis have the path of disinterest, the path of isolation.

⁴²unse kabhi bhi property ka hak mil na sake।

⁴¹You can never receive a right to property from them.

⁴³woh property chaahte hi nahin।

⁴²They don't want property.

⁴⁴tum to sada sukh ki property chaahte ho।

⁴³You want the property of constant happiness.

⁴⁵narka ke dhan daulat mein duhkh hai।

⁴⁴There is sorrow in the wealth and property of hell.

⁴⁶bhal dhanvaan hain parantu chalan aisi gandi chalte hain, paisa udaate rehte hain। ⁴⁷phir bachche bhookh marte hain।

⁴⁵Although some people are wealthy, their activity is very dirty and they simply continue to throw their money away uselessly.

⁴⁸to apne ko bhi duhkhi, bachchon ko bhi duhkhi karte hain।

⁴⁶Their children then starve to death. ⁴⁷They make themselves and their children unhappy.

⁴⁹yeh hai behad ka baap, woh baith bachchon ko samjhaate hain।

⁴⁸That One is the unlimited Father and He sits here and explains to you children.

⁵⁰woh to bhinna-bhinna anek baap hain, jinse alpakaal ke liye varsa milta hai।

⁴⁹There, you have many different fathers from whom you receive a temporary inheritance.

⁵¹bhal raajaayen hain woh bhi had ke ho gaye।

⁵⁰Although there are kings too, they are limited.

⁵²had ka alpakaal ka sukh hai।

⁵¹Their happiness is limited and temporary.

⁵³yeh behad ka baap avinaashi sukh dene aate hain।

⁵²This unlimited Father comes to give you imperishable happiness.

⁵⁴samjhaate hain bhaaratvaasi jo double sirtaaj the svarga ke maalik the, ab narka ke maalik ban pade hain।

⁵³He explains that the people of Bharat who were double crowned were the masters of heaven and that they have now become the masters of hell.

⁵⁵narka mein hai duhkh, baaki aise koi nadiyaan aadi nahin hain jaise raurav narka, vishay vaitarni nadi aadi ke chitra garud puraan mein dikhaate hain।

⁵⁴There is sorrow in hell, but there aren’t any such rivers of the extreme depths of hell or the river of poison as they have shown in the Garuda Purana.

⁵⁶yeh to sazaayen khaani hoti hain।

⁵⁵That is the punishment that has to be experienced.

⁵⁷to woh rochak baaten likh di hain।

⁵⁶Therefore, they have written those fearsome stories.

⁵⁸aage to jo jis ang se bura kaam karte the to woh ang unka kaata jaata tha।

⁵⁷In earlier days, the physical limb that someone would commit a crime with would be cut off.

⁵⁹bahut kadi saja milti thi।

⁵⁸They used to receive very severe punishment.

⁶⁰ab itni kadi saja nahin milti hai।

⁵⁹The punishment now isn't so severe.

⁶¹phaansi ki saja koi kadi nahin hai।

⁶⁰The punishment of being hanged is not severe.

⁶²woh to bahut easy hai।

⁶¹That is very easy.

⁶³manushya aapghaat bhi bahut khushi se karte hain।

⁶²People even commit suicide very easily.

⁶⁴shiv par devtaaon par jhat bali chadh jaate hain।

⁶³They even quickly sacrifice themselves to Shiva or the deities.

⁶⁵tum jaante ho aatma duhkhi hoti hai to chaahti hai ek shareer chhod jaakar doosra le leven।

⁶⁴You know that when a soul is unhappy, he wants to shed his body and take another.

⁶⁶woh aapghaat karne vaale aise nahin samajhte hain।

⁶⁵People who commit suicide don't think in that way.

⁶⁷woh to yahaan hi ek shareer chhod phir bhi yahaan hi ganda janma le lete hain।

⁶⁶They shed their bodies here and then take other dirty births here.

⁶⁸gyaan to hai nahin, sirf shareer ko khatma kar dete hain - duhkh ke kaaran।

⁶⁷They don't have knowledge. ⁶⁸They simply finish off their bodies because of sorrow.

⁶⁹phir bhi duhkhi janma hi paate hain।

⁶⁹Nevertheless, they still receive an unhappy birth.

⁷⁰tum to jaante ho ham to nai duniya ke laayak ban rahe hain।

⁷⁰You know that you are becoming worthy for the new world.

⁷¹jeevghaat karne vaalon mein bhi variety hoti hai।

⁷¹There is variety among those who commit suicide.

⁷²jaise koi-koi stri pati ke pichhaadi apna shareer homti hai।

⁷²Some wives used to sacrifice their bodies when their husbands died; that is a different matter.

⁷³(sati ho jaati hai) woh baat alag hai। ⁷⁴samajhte hain ham patilok mein jaayengi kyonki suna hua hai, bahuton ne kiya hai।

⁷³They believed that they would go to the same place where their husband has gone because they had heard that and many had done that already.

⁷⁵shaastron mein bhi hai ki pati lok mein jaati hai। ⁷⁶parantu woh pati to kaami thahra।

⁷⁴It is also written in the scriptures that she would go to the same place where her husband has gone.

⁷⁷phir bhi isi mrityulok mein hi aana pade। ⁷⁸yahaan to gyaan chita par baithne se svarga mein chale jaate hain।

⁷⁵However, that husband would have been someone who indulged in the vices and so he would have to come back here to the land of death.

⁷⁹abhi tum bachche jaante ho ki yeh jagat amba, jagat pita jo sthaapna arth nimitta bane hue hain, yahi phir svarga mein paalan-karta banenge।

⁷⁶By sitting on the pyre of knowledge here, you go to heaven. ⁷⁷You children now know that Jagadamba and Jagadpita, who have become instruments for establishment, will become the sustainers in heaven.

⁸⁰manushya to jaante nahin vishnu kul kisko kaha jaata hai।

⁷⁸People don't know what the clan of Vishnu is.

⁸¹vishnu to hai sookshmavtanvaasi, unka phir kul kaise ho sakta?

⁷⁹Vishnu is a resident of the subtle region and so how could there be his clan?

⁸²abhi tum jaante ho vishnu ke do roop lakshmi-naaraayan ban paalna karte hain, raajya karte hain।

⁸⁰You now know that the dual-form of Vishnu, Lakshmi and Narayan, rule and give sustenance there.

⁸³yeh hai gyaan chita।

⁸¹This is the pyre of knowledge.

⁸⁴tum yog lagaate ho us ek patiyon ke pati saath।

⁸²You have yoga with that one Husband of all husbands.

⁸⁵woh hai shivbaaba, vahi patiyon ka pati, pitaaon ka pita hai।

⁸³He is Shiv Baba, the Husband of all husbands and the Father of all fathers.

⁸⁶sab kuchh woh ek hi hai।

⁸⁴That One is everything.

⁸⁷usmein sarva sambandh aa jaate hain।

⁸⁵All relationships are forged with Him.

⁸⁸baap kehte hain is samay ke jo bhi chaache kaake aadi tumhaare hain, woh sab tumko duhkh ki raay bataayenge। ⁸⁹ulte raaste ki aasuri mat hi denge।

⁸⁶The Father says: All the maternal and paternal uncles etc. that you have now only give you advice for sorrow. ⁸⁷At this time, they would only give you devilish directions for the wrong path.

⁹⁰behad ka baap aakar bachchon ko sulti mat dete hain।

⁸⁸The unlimited Father comes and gives you children right directions.

⁹¹samjho laukik baap kehte hain college mein padhkar barrister aadi bano।

⁸⁹For instance, your physical father may ask you to study at college and become a barrister etc.

⁹²woh koi ulti mat thode hi hai।

⁹⁰Those directions are not wrong.

⁹³shareer nirvaah arth to woh right hai।

⁹¹They are right for the livelihood of your bodies.

⁹⁴woh purushaartha to karna hi hai।

⁹²You have to make that effort.

⁹⁵unke saath-saath phir bhavishya 21 janmon ke shareer nirvaah arth bhi purushaartha karna hai।

⁹³Together with that, you also have to make effort for the livelihood of your bodies for your future 21 births.

⁹⁶padhaai hoti hi hai shareer nirvaah ke liye।

⁹⁴You study for the livelihood of your bodies.

⁹⁷shaastron ki padhaai bhi hai nivritti maarga vaalon ke shareer nirvaah arth।

⁹⁵The study of the scriptures is for the livelihood of those who are on the path of isolation.

⁹⁸woh apne shareer nirvaah arth hi padhte hain।

⁹⁶They study those for their own livelihoods.

⁹⁹sannyaasi bhi shareer nirvaah arth koi 50, koi 100, koi hajaar bhi kamaate hain। ¹⁰⁰ek hi kashmeer ka raaja mara to kitne paise mil gaye aarya samaajiyon aadi ko।

⁹⁷Sannyasis also earn for their livelihoods. ⁹⁸Some earn 50 rupees, some earn 100 and some even earn 1000. When the king of Kashmir died, those of the Arya Samaj received so much money.

¹⁰¹to yeh sab karte hi hain pet ke liye।

⁹⁹All of them do all of that for their own stomachs.

¹⁰²sampatti bigar to sukh hota nahin।

¹⁰⁰There is no happiness without wealth.

¹⁰³dhan hai to motor aadi mein ghoomte hain।

¹⁰¹If someone has wealth, he can travel around in a car etc.

¹⁰⁴aage sannyaasi paise ke liye sannyaas nahin karte the, woh to chale jaate the jangal mein।

¹⁰²Earlier, sannyasis didn't adopt renunciation for money; they simply used to go away into the forests.

¹⁰⁵is duniya se tang ho apne ko chhudaate hain।

¹⁰³They would become tired of this world and free themselves.

¹⁰⁶parantu chhoot nahin sakte।

¹⁰⁴However, they cannot become free like that.

¹⁰⁷baaki pavitra rehte hain। ¹⁰⁸pavitrata ke bal se bhaarat ko thamaate hain।

¹⁰⁵Yes, they do remain pure; they support Bharat with the power of their purity.

¹⁰⁹yeh bhi bhaarat ko sukh dete hain।

¹⁰⁶They give happiness to Bharat in that way.

¹¹⁰yeh pavitra nahin bante to bhaarat tu mach veshyaalay ban jaata।

¹⁰⁷If they didn't become pure, Bharat would have become too much of a brothel.

¹¹¹pavitrata sikhlaane vaale ek yeh nivritti maarga vaale hain, doosra hai baap।

¹⁰⁸One is of those on the path of isolation and the other is of the Father who teaches purity.

¹¹²woh hai nivritti maarga vaali pavitrata।

¹⁰⁹Their purity is that of the path of isolation.

¹¹³yeh hai pravritti maarga ki pavitrata।

¹¹⁰This purity is that of the family path.

¹¹⁴bhaarat mein pavitra pravritti maarga tha।

¹¹¹There used to be the pure family path in Bharat.

¹¹⁵ham devi-devtaayen pavitra the। ¹¹⁶ab apvitra ban gaye hain।

¹¹²We were deities and were pure but we have now become impure.

¹¹⁷poora aadhaakalpa 5 vikaaron dvaara ham apvitra bante hain।

¹¹³For a full half cycle we have been becoming impure with the five vices.

¹¹⁸maaya ne thoda-thoda karte poora hi apvitra, patit bana diya hai।

¹¹⁴Little by little, Maya has made you completely impure and sinful.

¹¹⁹duniya mein yeh koi bhi manushya nahin jaante ki ham paavan se patit kaise bante hain। ¹²⁰samajhte bhi hain ki yeh patit duniya hai।

¹¹⁵No human being in the world knows how we become impure from being pure even though they do understand that this world is impure.

¹²¹samjho kisi makaan ki aayu 100 varsha hai, to kahenge 50 varsha naya, 50 varsha puraana, aahiste-aahiste puraana hota jaata hai।

¹¹⁶For instance, if the lifespan of a building is a 100 years, then, for 50 years it would be said to be new and for 50 years it would be said to be old. ¹¹⁷It continues to become old gradually.

¹²²is srishti ka bhi aise hai।

¹¹⁸It is the same for this world.

¹²³ekdam nai duniya mein sukh hota hai phir aadha ke baad puraani hoti hai।

¹¹⁹There is happiness in the completely new world and then, after half a cycle, it becomes old.

¹²⁴gaaya bhi jaata hai satayug mein athaah sukh hai।

¹²⁰It is remembered that there is limitless happiness in the golden age.

¹²⁵phir puraani duniya hoti hai to duhkh shuru hota hai।

¹²¹Then, when the world becomes old, sorrow begins.

¹²⁶raavan duhkh dete hain।

¹²²Ravan causes sorrow.

¹²⁷patit raavan ne kiya hai, jiska but jalaate hain।

¹²³It was Ravan whose effigy people burn who made you impure.

¹²⁸yeh bada dushman hai।

¹²⁴He is a great enemy.

¹²⁹koi ne government ko apply kiya ki raavan ko nahin jalaaya jaae, bahuton ko duhkh hota hai।

¹²⁵Someone made an application to the Government that Ravan shouldn’t be burnt because many people experience sorrow.

¹³⁰raavan ko vidvaan bataate hain।

¹²⁶They show Ravan to be a great scholar.

¹³¹minister aadi koi bhi samajhte nahin hain।

¹²⁷None of the ministers etc. understand.

¹³²abhi tum jaante ho ki raavan ka raajya dvaapar se shuru hota hai।

¹²⁸You now know that Ravan’s kingdom begins in the copper age.

¹³³bhaarat mein hi raavan ko jalaate hain।

¹²⁹It is in Bharat alone that people burn an effigy of Ravan.

¹³⁴baap samjhaate hain dvaapar se yeh bhakti, agyaan maarga shuru hota hai।

¹³⁰The Father explains: This path of devotion, the path of ignorance, begins in the copper age.

¹³⁵gyaan se din, bhakti se raat। ¹³⁶ab dekho jagat amba ka geet gaate hain।

¹³¹There is the day through knowledge and the night through devotion.

¹³⁷parantu samajhte nahin ki saubhaagya vidhaata kaise hai। ¹³⁸kitna bada mela lagta hai।

¹³²Look, people sing songs of Jagadamba, but they don't understand how she is the bestower of fortune.

¹³⁹parantu jagdamba hai kaun, yeh bhi jaante nahin।

¹³³Such a big fair takes place, but they don't even know who Jagadamba is.

¹⁴⁰bangaal mein kaali ko bhi bahut maante hain, parantu jaante nahin hain ki kaali aur jagdamba mein kya farka hai।

¹³⁴In Bengal they believe in Kali a great deal, but they don't know what the difference is between Kali and Jagadamba.

¹⁴¹jagdamba ko gora dikhaate hain, kaali ko kaala bana diya hai।

¹³⁵They show Jagadamba to be fair and Kali to be dark.

¹⁴²jagdamba hi lakshmi banti hai to gori hai।

¹³⁶When Jagadamba becomes Lakshmi, she is beautiful.

¹⁴³phir 84 janma lete-lete kaali ho jaati hai।

¹³⁷Then, after taking 84 births, she becomes ugly.

¹⁴⁴to manushya kitne moonjhe hue hain।

¹³⁸People are so confused.

¹⁴⁵vaastav mein kaali athva amba hai to ek hi।

¹³⁹In fact, Kali and Amba are one and the same.

¹⁴⁶kuchh bhi nahin jaante - isko kaha jaata hai andhashraddha।

¹⁴⁰They don't know anything and this is called blind faith.

¹⁴⁷abhi tum bachche jaante ho jo past mein jagat amba thi - usne bhaarat ka bhaagya banaaya tha।

¹⁴¹You children now know that the one who was Jagadamba in the past created the fortune of Bharat.

¹⁴⁸tum bhi bhaarat ka saubhaagya bana rahe ho।

¹⁴²You too are creating the fortune of Bharat.

¹⁴⁹maataaon ka hi mukhya naam hai।

¹⁴³The name of the mothers is the main one.

¹⁵⁰sannyaasiyon ka bhi maataaon ko uddhaar karna hai।

¹⁴⁴The mothers also have to uplift the sannyasis.

¹⁵¹yeh bhi noondh hai।

¹⁴⁵This too is fixed.

¹⁵²parampita paramatma ne direction diya hai, inhon ko gyaan baan maaro।

¹⁴⁶The Supreme Father, the Supreme Soul, has given the direction: Shoot arrows of knowledge at them.

¹⁵³tum bachchiyaan bhi sannyaasiyon aadi se milti ho to samjhaati ho ki hamko gyaan saagar parampita paramatma padhaate hain।

¹⁴⁷When you children meet sannyasis etc., you explain that the Supreme Father, the Supreme Soul, the Ocean of Knowledge, is teaching you.

¹⁵⁴tum had ke sannyaasi ho, ham hain behad ke।

¹⁴⁸Tell them: You are limited sannyasis, whereas we are unlimited ones.

¹⁵⁵hamko baap raajayog sikhlaate hi tab hain jabki tumhaara hathayog poora hona hai।

¹⁴⁹The Father teaches us Raja Yoga when your hatha yoga is about to end. ¹⁵⁰Hatha yoga and Raja Yoga cannot exist at the same time.

¹⁵⁶hathayog aur raajayog donon ikatthe rah nahin sakte।

¹⁵¹So, not a lot of time now remains; there is very little time now.

¹⁵⁷to time koi ab jaasti nahin hai, bahut thoda time hai।

¹⁵²The Father says: Children, while living at home with your families, live like a lotus.

¹⁵⁸baap kehte hain bachche grihastha vyavhaar mein rehte kamalphool samaan bano।

¹⁵³It is Brahmins who have to live like a lotus. ¹⁵⁴Kumaris are as pure as a lotus anyway.

¹⁵⁹braahmanon ko hi kamalphool samaan rehna hai।

¹⁵⁵Baba says to those who indulge in vice: Become pure!

¹⁶⁰kumaariyaan to hain hi pavitra, kamalphool samaan।

¹⁵⁶While living at home with your families, become like a lotus!

¹⁶¹baaki jo vikaar mein jaate hain unko kehte hain pavitra bano।

¹⁵⁷Each one of you has to become a spinner of the discus of self-realisation.

¹⁶²grihastha vyavhaar mein rehte kamal phool samaan bano। ¹⁶³har ek svadarshan chakradhaari bano।

¹⁵⁸Blow the conch shell! ¹⁵⁹Use the sword of knowledge and your boats will go across.

¹⁶⁴shankh bajaao।

¹⁶⁰It takes effort.

¹⁶⁵gyaan kataari chalaao to beda paar ho jaayega।

¹⁶¹You won't be able to claim such a high status without making effort.

¹⁶⁶mehnat hai, mehnat bigar itna ooncha pad pa nahin sakte।

¹⁶²While walking and moving around, maintain that happiness. ¹⁶³Remember the Father!
