H جيتا जीता jītā [Prk. जीवंतओ; S. जीवन्त+कः; or imperf. part. of jīnā], adj. (f. -ī), Living, alive: — jītā-jāgtā, adj. Living and healthy; alive and well, alive and flourishing: — jītā-jhūṭ, s.m. A gross falsehood: — jītā rahnā, v.n. To remain or continue alive; to enjoy a long life: — jītā-hī, adj. & adv. All alive, quite alive (as I am, or he is, &c.; e.g. majhe jītā-hī zamīn-kā paiwand kar-do): — jīte-jī, adv. Living, alive, in the living flesh; in the life-time (of, -ke); for life, during the lifetime (of -ke): — jīte-jī-tak-kā qabẓa, s.m. A life tenure: — jīte-jī marnā, v.n.
