¹आत्मा अपना ही मित्र, अपना ही शत्रु है, जो करेगा वह पायेगा

¹The soul is its own friend and its own enemy. ²Everyone receives the return of whatever they do.

⁴Om shanti.

⁴नॉलेज को दर्पण कहा जाता है।

⁵Knowledge is said to be a mirror.

⁵यह परमात्मा की अविनाशी नॉलेज दर्पण है !

⁶This imperishable knowledge from God is a mirror!

⁶इससे सारा पता लगता है कि मनुष्य आत्मा की कहानी अथवा कर्म - कहानी क्या है ?

⁷You can know the story of human souls, that is, what the story of their karma is.

⁷अब ज्ञान के दर्पण में क्या देखेंगे ?

⁸What will you now see in the mirror of knowledge?

⁸अन्दर तो बहुत काली, मैली आत्मा बैठी है।

⁹Internally, a very dirty, ugly soul sitting there.

⁹वह समझते परमात्मा बैठा है। ¹⁰लेकिन परमात्मा तो अन्दर नहीं बैठा है।

¹⁰People think that God is sitting there, but God is not sitting in anyone.

¹¹परमात्मा को आना पड़ता है।

¹¹God has to come here.

¹²इसलिए अवतरण गाया हुआ है।

¹²This is why an incarnation has been remembered.

¹³कहते हैं- जब-जब धर्म ग्लानि होती है, तब-तब मैं आता हूँ।

¹³He says: I come when there is extreme irreligiousness.

¹⁴बैठा हो तो यह कह नहीं सकते ।

¹⁴If He were sitting here, He could not say this.

¹⁵जब आते हैं तो आकर रोशनी देते हैं कि तुम कितने स्वच्छ थे, अब कितने काले बने हो !

¹⁵When He comes, He enlightens us as to how clean we were, and how ugly we have now become.

¹⁶कहानी भी इसकी है।

¹⁶The story is about this.

¹⁷इसमें आदि-मध्य-अन्त आ जाता है।

¹⁷The beginning, the middle and the end are included in this.

¹⁸यह एक जीवन की बात नहीं है लेकिन जब से इस स्टेज पर पार्ट शुरु हुआ है तब से अब तक की कहानी चली आई है।

¹⁸This is not a question of one life, but the story from the time that we began to playa part on this stage until now.

¹⁹बीच में वापस तो गए नहीं हैं।

¹⁹We did not return home in-between.

²⁰तो समझाते हैं कि शुरु से आत्मा कैसे पार्ट बजाती आई है।

²⁰So Baba explains how the soul has been playing a part from the beginning.

²¹यह है अब हमारे सामने दर्पण अथवा नॉलेज।

²¹This knowledge is a mirror in front of us.

²²इस दर्पण में निराकारी दुनिया से लेकर आकार-साकार सृष्टि की सारी समझानी है।

²²In this mirror, there is the entire explanation of everything from the incorporeal world to the subtle and the corporeal worlds.

²³मनुष्य भल वेद - शास्त्र अध्ययन करते हैं लेकिन दर्पण तो मिलता नहीं जिससे देखें कि आत्मा कहाँ से मैली हुई है तो साफ़ करें।

²³Although people study the Vedas and scriptures, they do not find a mirror through which they can fmd out how the soul has become dirty or how they can clean it.

²⁴यदि उससे आत्मा साफ होती तो दुनिया की यह रिजल्ट नहीं होती ।

²⁴If the soul were cleansed through that, then the state of the world would not be what it is today.

²⁵दुनिया वाले तो कहते हैं कि कलियुग अभी बच्चा है।

²⁵People of the world say that kaliyug is still a small child.

²⁶और बड़ा होगा तो क्या हाल होगा ?

²⁶What would be its state if it were to grow bigger?

²⁷दर्पण होता तो क्यों मैली होने देते, साफ कर देते।

²⁷If they had a mirror, why would they let the soul get dirty?

²⁸तो अपने को दर्पण मिला है।

²⁸They would keep the soul clean, would they not?

²⁹इसलिए जानते हैं कि परमात्मा का अब आना ज़रुरी है।

²⁹We have received a mirror. ³⁰This is why we know that it is essential for God to come at this time.

³⁰आते हैं तो ज़रुर उनका निवास स्थान कोई है।

³¹Since He comes, He must definitely have a place of residence.

³¹वह दूर देश निवासी है।

³²He is a Resident of the far-away land.

³²उनका कर्त्तव्य भी है लेकिन ऐसे नहीं, यह विनाश-स्थापना का कार्य सदैव चलता रहता है।

³³He has a task, but it isn't that the task of destruction and establishment continues all the time.

³³यह जन्म-मरण तो अपने कर्मों से होता है।

³⁴Birth and death take place according to one's own karmic accounts.

³⁴इससे तो दुःखी हो रहे हैं।

³⁵People are experiencing sorrow because of this.

³⁵अगर परमात्मा का यह कर्त्तव्य है तो परमात्मा दुःख देने वाला ठहरा।

³⁶If this is God's task, then God is giving sorrow.

³⁶लेकिन परमात्मा की महिमा है सुखदाता ।

³⁷But God's praise is that He is the Bestower of Happiness.

³⁷दुःख देने वाले को थोड़े ही याद किया जाता है।

³⁸Generally you do not remember someone who gives you sorrow.

³⁸तो ज़रुर विनाश, स्थापना का कोई और तरीका है।

³⁹So there must be some other method of destruction and establishment.

³⁹तो परमात्मा समझाते हैं -- "जिससे दुःखी हुए हो उनका विनाश करने आता हूँ।

⁴⁰So God explains: I come to destroy that through which you experienced sorrow.

⁴⁰पापों का विनाश करने वाला और पापात्माओं का उद्धार करने वाला हूँ।

⁴¹I am the One who destroys sin and uplifts sinful souls.

⁴¹” अब तो पापात्माओं की खूब वृद्धि हो रही है।

⁴²Sinful souls are now increasing in number a great deal.

⁴²अब बाप उन्हों का उद्धार कर दैवी सृष्टि की स्थापना करते हैं।

⁴³Baba uplifts them and establishes the divine world.

⁴³फिर उनकी पालना के लिए हमारी भी प्रालब्ध बनाते हैं।

⁴⁴Then He also enables us to create our reward through the sustenance of that world.

⁴⁴फिर तो यह कार्य करने की दरकार नहीं है।

⁴⁵Then there is no need to carry out this task.

⁴⁵परमात्मा का आना भी एक टाईम पर होना चाहिए।

⁴⁶The coming of God should only be at a particular time.

⁴⁶जब झाड़ बिल्कुल पुराना हो जाता है तब बाप कलम लगाते हैं।

⁴⁷Baba plants a sapling when the tree has become totally old.

⁴⁷तो उसका भी टाईम है ना।

⁴⁸So there is a time for that too.

⁴⁸जब वृद्धि हो रही है तब तो कलम नहीं लगायेंगे।

⁴⁹He will not plant a sapling when expansion is taking place.

⁴⁹तो परमात्मा के कर्त्तव्य का भी टाईम है।

⁵⁰So there is a time for God's activities.

⁵⁰अब आवे तो वह भी एक जगह आएगा।

⁵¹Even if He were to come now, He would come in one place.

⁵¹कहाँ आकर स्थापना करे - वह भी हिसाब-किताब समझाते हैं।

⁵²He also explains the accounts of where He comes and carries out the establishment.

⁵²भारत ही है जो सतोप्रधान था, दूसरे धर्म पीछे वृद्धि हुए हैं।

⁵³It is only Bharat that was satopradhan, all the other religions expanded later.

⁵³शुरु से यह भारत था जहाँ दैवी धर्म और राज्य था।

⁵⁴Bharat has existed from the beginning where there were the deity kingdom and religion.

⁵⁴अब वह नहीं है।

⁵⁵Now they do not exist.

⁵⁵इसलिए परमात्मा को उसी की स्थापना के लिए आना पड़ता है।

⁵⁶This is why God has to come to establish them.

⁵⁶आने का टाईम भी एक ही बार है।

⁵⁷He only comes once.

⁵⁷अच्छा, आवे तो किसमें आवे ?

⁵⁸Achcha, if He does come, in whom should He come?

⁵⁸मनुष्य तन का आधार लेना पड़े।

⁵⁹He has to take the support of a human body.

⁵⁹मनुष्य आत्माओं से पुरुषार्थ कराए प्रालब्ध बनानी पड़े।

⁶⁰He has to inspire human souls to make effort in order to create their reward.

⁶⁰मनुष्य आत्माएं गिरी कहाँ से हैं?

⁶¹How have human souls fallen?

⁶¹कर्मों से गिरी हैं। ⁶²तो कर्मों को सुधारने, समझाने लिए मनुष्य-तन का आधार लेना पड़े।

⁶²They have fallen through their actions, and so to reform your actions and to explain to you, God has to take the support of a human body.

⁶³आना भी उस मनुष्य-तन में पड़े जिसकी प्रालब्ध शुरु से पहला नम्बर हो, जिसको एडम कहो, आदम कहो।

⁶³He has to enter a human body whose reward is fixed as being number one ever since the beginning, one whom you can call Adam.

⁶⁴यह तो उनको बनायेगा ना जो पहले देवता हैं, जो फिर पहले ही मैले बने हैं, उसमें ही आकर बताता हूँ।

⁶⁴He would make a deity of this one who was first. ⁶⁵I come and tell you through the one who has become dirty first.

⁶⁵तो परमात्मा के आने के भी सरकमस्टाँस हैं।

⁶⁶So there are circumstances for God's coming.

⁶⁶हिसाब-किताब से आएगा ना।

⁶⁷He would come at the right time.

⁶⁷खुद तो हुआ अकर्ता, अभोक्ता।

⁶⁸He Himself is abhogta and akarta (One who does not experience the result of action and One who does not do, but inspires others to do).

⁶⁸वह आत्माओं से करायेगा ना – जो शुरु वाली आत्मायें हैं, जिन्हों का ८४वाँ जन्म हो।

⁶⁹He inspires souls who have been here from the beginning; who have taken the complete eighty-four births.

⁶⁹सबके तो ८४ जन्म नहीं हैं।

⁷⁰Not everyone takes eighty-four births.

⁷⁰पीछे वालों के कम जन्म हैं।

⁷¹Those who come later take fewer births.

⁷¹उन्हों में तो नहीं आ सकता।

⁷²God could not possibly come in them, could He?

⁷²नया कलम तो शुरु से लगेगा ना।

⁷³A new sapling would have to be planted from the beginning.

⁷³तो परमात्मा बैठ सारे प्लैन को समझाते हैं।

⁷⁴So God sits and explains the entire plan.

⁷⁴ऐसे कार्य करना पड़ता है।

⁷⁵He has to carry out His task in this way.

⁷⁵नहीं तो कैसे करें ?

⁷⁶How else could He carty it out?

⁷⁶कोई राय देवे।

⁷⁷कराना तो मनुष्यों से है।

⁷⁷He has to carry it out through human beings.

⁷⁸ऐसे तो नहीं खुद ही करता है ।

⁷⁸It isn't that He does it Himself.

⁷⁹फिर तो भोगना भी उसको पड़े ।

⁷⁹Then He would also have to experience the result.

⁸⁰लेकिन कहते हैं -- "आत्मा अपना ही मित्र है, अपना ही शत्रु है ।

⁸⁰But it is said: The soul is its own friend and its own enemy.

⁸¹जो करेगा वह पाएगा।

⁸¹Those who do something will receive the result of it.

⁸²" तो परमात्मा तो नहीं करता है ना ।

⁸²So God does not do anything.

⁸³आत्माओं से ही कराते हैं ।

⁸³He inspires souls to do.

⁸⁴और कोई तरीका नहीं ।

⁸⁴There is no other method.

⁸⁵सब कायदे से करना है ।

⁸⁵He has to do everything accortllng to the laws.

⁸⁶विकर्मों की सजाएं भी भोगनी पड़ती हैं ।

⁸⁶One has to experience punishment for sins committed.

⁸⁷पुरुषार्थियों को प्रालब्ध देनी पड़ती है ।

⁸⁷A reward has to be given to those who make effort.

⁸⁸इसलिए कैसे अपना कार्य करते हैं-- वह समझाते हैं ।

⁸⁸This is why He explains how He carries out His task.

⁸⁹आकारी देवताओं से भी मदद लेते हैं ।

⁸⁹He also takes help from the subtle deities.

⁹⁰रचना द्वारा ही नई रचना रचनी पड़ती है ।

⁹⁰It is through the creation that the new creation has to be created.

⁹¹मैं तो न्यारा हूँ ।

⁹¹I am totally detached.

⁹²मुझे इन बातों में जाना नहीं है ।

⁹²1 do not have to become involved in these matters.

⁹³कराना है स्वच्छ आत्माओं से और सृष्टि फिर एकदम पापात्मा है ।

⁹³I have to carry out the task through clean, pure souls. ⁹⁴However the world is that of totally sinful souls.

⁹⁴तो कितनी डिफीकल्टी है ! ⁹⁵तो ऐसी युक्ति से करना पड़ता है ।

⁹⁵There is so much difficulty and so He has to do everything with a particular method.

⁹⁶नहीं तो कैसे करें जो सभी कायदे में कायम रहें ?

⁹⁶How else would He carry out this task and yet be within the laws?

⁹⁷कहते – मेरे कर्त्तव्य को भी वह जान सकते जो मेरे साथ इस कार्य में मददगार हैं ।

⁹⁷He says: Only those who are the helpers in My task can know My task.

⁹⁸बाकी तो सबको वापस मुक्तिधाम में जाना है ।

⁹⁸Everyone has to return to the land of liberation.

⁹⁹उन्हों का भी अपने-अपने समय पर गोल्डन एज है । ¹⁰⁰यह बातें समझने, समझाने की बुद्धि चाहिए ।

⁹⁹They all have their own golden age at their own time. you need a good intellect to understand and explain these things.

¹⁰¹बाकी यदि भगवान ही करनकरावनहार है तो फिर हम पुरुषार्थ का क्यों सोचें ?

¹⁰⁰But if God is the One who does everything, why should we even think about making effort?

¹⁰²लेकिन कर्मों की रिस्पॉन्सिबिलिटी हमारे ऊपर ही है ।

¹⁰¹The responsibility of actions is on us.

¹⁰³अच्छे-बुरे कर्मों का फल भी हमको मिलना है ।

¹⁰²We are the ones who receive the fruit of good or bad actions.

¹⁰⁴बाप आकर अच्छे कर्मों का ज्ञान देते हैं ।

¹⁰³Baba comes and gives us the knowledge of good actions.

¹⁰⁵बाबा से जैसे यह वर्सा लेते हैं । ¹⁰⁶लेकिन जब उनसे योग लगायें ।

¹⁰⁴We are claiming this inheritance from Baba, but only when we have yoga with Him.

¹⁰⁷हम कहते हैं - बाबा है, दादा है, वर्सा देते हैं । ¹⁰⁸उनसे सम्बन्ध जोड़ेंगे तब तो मिलेगा ना ।

¹⁰⁵We say: Father and Grandfather, give us an inheritance, but we can only receive it when we have a relationship with Him.

¹⁰⁹हम भी निराकार आत्मायें, वह भी निराकार परम आत्मा ।

¹⁰⁶We are incorporeal souls and He is the incorporeal Supreme Soul.

¹¹⁰परम है क्योंकि अजन्मा है ।

¹⁰⁷He is the Supreme because He is beyond rebirth.

¹¹¹यह जो मूँझते हैं कि परमात्मा एक तन में हद में कैसे आते, वह तो बेहद में रहने वाला सर्वव्यापी, सर्व तन में विराजमान है ?

¹⁰⁸People become confused thinking: How is it possible for God to enter a body and come into the limited when they think He resides in the unlimited, is omnipresent and present in everyone?

¹¹²लेकिन इसको भी समझना है । ¹¹³उनका कैसा प्लैन है ?

¹⁰⁹But you have to understand God and what His plans are.

¹¹⁴जैसे गवर्मेन्ट के भी प्लैन बनते हैं, परमात्मा का भी प्लैन है ।

¹¹⁰Just as the Government has plans God, too, has plans.

¹¹⁵तब तो कहते हैं सद्गति करने की मत तुम जानो ।

¹¹¹This is why it is said: You know Your ways of granting salvation.

¹¹⁶तो जो जानते हैं वही बताते हैं ।

¹¹²Only the One who knows this can tell you about it.

¹¹⁷सच्चा मित्र तो वह ठहरा ना जो हमारे विकर्मो को मिटाए सर्वदा सुखी बनाते हैं ।

¹¹³Only the One who erases our sins and makes us ever-happy is our true Friend.

¹¹⁸तो क्यों न उनसे सम्बन्ध जोड़ें और सब दुःख के सम्बन्ध तोड़ें ।

¹¹⁴So why should we not form a relationship with Him and break all relationships of sorrow?

¹¹⁹कहते हैं - तुम्हारा सम्बन्ध फिर भी आत्माओं के साथ जुड़ेगा लेकिन वह है सुख का सम्बन्ध । ¹²⁰यह है दुःख का सम्बन्ध, इसे तोड़ो ।

¹¹⁵He says: You will have relationships with souls anyway, but those will be relationships of happiness whereas now they are relationships of sorrow.

¹²¹भगवानुवाच - यह काम महाशत्रु है ।

¹¹⁶God speaks: Lust is the greatest enemy.

¹²²मनुष्य समझते हैं – पति-पत्नी का संबंध है ही विकार के लिए। ¹²³लेकिन ऐसी विकारी प्रवृत्ति परमात्मा ने नहीं रची।

¹¹⁷People think that the relationship between husband and wife is for vice, but God did not create such a vicious family path.

¹²⁴बुद्धि नहीं मानती कि ऐसी गन्दगी से उत्पत्ति परमात्मा ने बनाई हो।

¹¹⁸The intellect does not accept that God would have created His creation in such a dirty way.

¹²⁵इसलिए सन्यासी ब्रह्मचर्य में रहते हैं।

¹¹⁹This is. why sannyasis remain celibate.

¹²⁶ज़रुर अच्छा है ना।

¹²⁰Celibacy must definitely be good.

¹²⁷अगर शास्त्रों अनुसार यह विकार करना हक है तो फिर शास्त्र सुनाने वाले सन्यासी क्यों ब्रह्मचर्य में रहते हैं?

¹²¹If, according to the scriptures, it is their right to indulge in sin, then why do the sannyasis who relate the scriptures remain celibate?

¹²⁸यह विचार नहीं आता क्योंकि मन-बुद्धि सहित आत्मा भ्रष्ट हो गयी है।

¹²²This does not occur to them since the soul, including the mind and the intellect, have become corrupt.

¹²⁹अब बाबा समझाते हैं – मेरी रचना में यह बात अंश मात्र नहीं थी।

¹²³Baba now explains: Lust did not exist in my creation, not even the slightest trace ofit.

¹³⁰इसलिए ऐसे कभी नहीं समझना है कि यह अनादि चीज़ है, शुरु से चली आती है।

¹²⁴Therefore you must never think that this existed eternally, that it has existed from the beginning.

¹³¹नहीं।

¹²⁵No.

¹³²बाप ने सृष्टि की वृद्धि का तरीका भी बड़ा रॉयल रखा है।

¹²⁶Baba has a very royal way of increasing the world population.

¹³³आधा कल्प पतित होने से बचा देते हैं। ¹³⁴इन बातों पर बुद्धि काम नहीं करती है तो मूँझते हैं।

¹²⁷He saves you from becoming impure for half a kalpa.When people do not use their intellect in these things they become confused.

¹³⁵इतनी बुद्धि नहीं है तब तो बुद्धिवानों की बुद्धि बाप कहते हैं – अब चलो गन्दी छी-छी दुनिया से नई दुनिया में।

¹²⁸They do not have even this much wisdom and that is why Baba, the Intellect of the Wise, says: Now come away from this dirty world into the new world.

¹²⁹Achcha.
