मुल्लेकाज़ी mullēkāzī (persan)

Mullās and qāzīs. Muslim priest or judges.

मुल्ला mullā mulla: (nm) a Muslim priest; a Muslim teacher of the Qora:n; —की दौड़ मस्जित तक a priest goes no farther than the Church.

क़ाज़ी qāzī qa:zi: (nm) a Muslim judge or magistrate; one who performs the ceremony of nika:h in a Muslim marriage; —कि मुल्ला ?, (आप कौन हैं ?) What is your locus standi ? How dare you interfere ? What business have you to intrude? -जी दुबले (क्यों), शहर के अँदेशे to be worried about affairs that are not one's concern.
