¹परमात्मा और धर्म-आत्माओं के कार्य में महान् अन्तर

¹The great difference between the task of God and those of the religious souls.

²ओम शान्ति।

²Om shanti.

³हम आत्मायें बहुत पुरानी हैं।

³We souls are very old.

⁴जरूर है कि हम आत्मायें कब नई भी थीं।

⁴We souls were definitely new at some point.

⁵भला आत्मा नई और पुरानी कैसे होती है?

⁵How can the soul be new or old?

⁶दुनिया तो समझती है कि “आत्मा न्यारी है, न कटती है, न जलती है। ⁷” आत्मा का किसी भी तरह विनाश नहीं होता, क्योंकि इमोर्टल है।

⁶The world understands that the soul is Unique, that it can neither be cut nor burnt, that the soul can never be destroyed in any way because it is immortal.

⁸” परन्तु अब हमने परम आत्मा से जाना है कि आत्मा इमार्टल बरोबर है।

⁷However, we now know from the Supreme Soul that the soul truly is immortal.

⁹शरीर को जलाते हैं तो आत्मा निकल जाती है।

⁸They burn the body, but the soul has already left it.

¹⁰आत्मा अपने कर्मों के हिसाब-किताब अनुसार दूसरा शरीर लेकर पार्ट बजाती है।

⁹The soul takes another body according to its karmic actions and then plays its part.

¹¹भोगने वाली आत्मा है।

¹⁰It is the soul that experiences everything.

¹²ऐसे नहीं कि शरीर भोगने जाता है, शरीर में आत्मा भोगने जाती है।

¹¹The body doesn't experience anything. ¹²It is the soul that experiences everything through the body.

¹³कर्मों का हिसाब-किताब आत्मा पर लगता है तब तो आत्मा भोगने जाती है।

¹³Karmic accounts are accumulated by the soul and this is why the .soul experiences everything.

¹⁴अगर आत्मा न्यारी होती तो भोगने क्यूं जाती?

¹⁴If the soul were separate, why should it experience anything?

¹⁵दुःख-सुख आत्मा ही भोगती है।

¹⁵It is the soul that experiences happiness or sorrow.

¹⁶तो जरूर मैल चढ़ी हुई है।

¹⁶So there must definitely be some dirt on the soul.

¹⁷अब आत्मा को दुःख फील होता है, तो जरूर आत्मा को पूर्ण सुख-शान्ति का भी अनुभव था।

¹⁷The soul now experiences sorrow, and so it must definitely have previous experience of complete happiness and peace.

¹⁸उसी समय आत्मायें भी नई थीं।

¹⁸At that time souls were new.

¹⁹अब पुरानी बन गई हैं।

¹⁹Now they have become old.

²⁰आत्मा के ऊपर मैल भी अनेक जन्मों की लगी हुई है, न कि एक जन्म की।

²⁰There is the dirt of many births on the soul, not just one birth.

²¹मनुष्य जो कुछ विकर्म करते हैं उसकी भोगना बहुत है जो एक जन्म में पूरी नहीं हो सकती है।

²¹Whatever sirlfuJ. actions human beings perform, they have to suffer a lot for them and this suffering cannot be finished in one birth.

²²अनेक जन्मों की मैल चढ़ते-चढ़ते आत्मा अब अन्तिम स्टेज पर आकर पहुँची है।

²²Whilst accumulating the dirt of many births the soul has now reached the final stage.

²³ऐसी तमोगुणी आत्माओं को फिर स्वच्छ बनाने परमात्मा को आना पड़ता है।

²³God has to come to ·make such tamoguni souls clean and pure.

²⁴५ भूतों ने ही इस तमोगुणी अवस्था में लाया है।

²⁴The five evil spirits have brought about this impure stage.

²⁵पहले-पहले आत्माओं की संख्या भी कम थी, फिर वृद्धि होती गई।

²⁵At first the number of souls was very small, and then there was expansion.

²⁶पार्ट में आने से मैल चढ़ती गई।

²⁶Whilst coming into a part the soul continued to accumulate dirt.

²⁷आत्मायें सभी इकट्ठी तो नहीं आती हैं।

²⁷Not all souls can come down together.

²⁸झाड़ तो धीरे-धीरे वृद्धि को पाता है।

²⁸The tree grows gradually.

²⁹गीता में भी महावाक्य हैं कि मनुष्य सृष्टि उल्टा झाड़ है।

²⁹In the Gita, it is written that the human world is an inverted tree.

³⁰उल्टा क्यों है?

³⁰Why is it inverted?

³¹क्योंकि इनकी जड़ ऊपर है।

³¹Because its roots are at the top.

³²सब आत्मायें निराकारी दुनिया से आती हैं तो जड़ वहाँ रही ना।

³²All souls come from the incorporeal world and so the root is up there, is it not?

³³अब सब आत्मायें तमोगुणी हैं।

³³All souls are impure.

³⁴उन्हों को स्वच्छ बनाना—सो तो एक ही समर्थ का काम है, और उनकी गत-मत वही जाने।

³⁴To make them clean and pure is the task of the powerful One. ³⁵Only He knows about His directions and instructions.

³⁵सद्गति करने की मत उनकी क्या है?

³⁶What are His directions to bring about salvation?

³⁶किस तरकीब से करते हैं?

³⁷1hrough which method does He do this?

³⁷वह तो वही जाने।

³⁸Only He knows that.

³⁸मनुष्य आत्मायें तो पार्ट बजाते-बजाते पुरानी हो गई हैं। ³⁹वह कैसे किसको स्वच्छ बनायेगी?

³⁹Human souls have become old whilst playing their part and so how can they purify anyone?

⁴⁰वह बल कहाँ से आए?

⁴⁰Where can they receive that power from?

⁴¹सर्वशक्तिवान तो वह एक ही परमात्मा है।

⁴¹God alone is the Almighty Authority.

⁴²वह बाप भी आत्मा है परन्तु उनको परम कहते हैं क्योंकि पुनर्जन्म रहित है।

⁴²That Father is also a soul, but He is called the Supreme because He is beyond rebirth.

⁴³उनको कोई लेप-छेप नहीं लगता।

⁴³He is immune to action.

⁴⁴उनसे सतोगुणी संस्कार कब जाते नहीं हैं।

⁴⁴His pure sanskars are never erased from Him.

⁴⁵आत्मायें जन्म-मरण में आती हैं तो वह संस्कार चले जाते हैं।

⁴⁵When souls take birth and rebirth those sanskars finish.

⁴⁶जो भी स्वच्छ आत्मायें हैं वह आती हैं अपना धर्म स्थापन कर उनकी पालना करने।

⁴⁶Pure souls come to establish their religion and to sustain it.

⁴⁷परमात्मा आते हैं सबको वापस ले जाने और साथ-साथ फिर नई दुनिया की स्थापना कराते हैं।

⁴⁷God comes to take everyone back and, as well as that, He also carries out the establishment of the new world.

⁴⁸तो उनके काम निराले हुए।

⁴⁸So His acts are unique.

⁴⁹परमात्मा का कर्तव्य ही अपना है।

⁴⁹God's task is His own.

⁵⁰आत्मायें अपने संस्कारों सहित अनादि हैं।

⁵⁰Souls and their sanskars are eternal.

⁵¹उन्हों को अनेक जन्मों का पार्ट भी कैसे बजाना होता है -- वह भी समझना है।

⁵¹You also have to understand how they have to play their part of many births.

⁵²ऐसे नहीं कि आत्मा, परमात्मा से मिली हुई एक ही चीज है।

⁵²It isn't that the soul is merged with the Supreme Soul and that both are the same.

⁵³हर एक आत्मा के भिन्न-भिन्न संस्कार हैं।

⁵³Each soul has its own individual sanskars.

⁵⁴क्राइस्ट, बौद्ध आदि भल स्वच्छ आत्मायें हैं, परन्तु उन सबके भी भिन्न-भिन्न संस्कार हैं, अपना-अपना कर्तव्य है।

⁵⁴Although Christ, Buddha and others are pure souls, they all have their own individual sanskars and perform their own actions.

⁵⁵तो स्वच्छ आत्माओं में भी भिन्नता हुई ना।

⁵⁵So there is also a difference between the pure souls.

⁵⁶यह सब नॉलेज परमात्मा ही दे सकते हैं जो अनादि काल से जानते हैं।

⁵⁶Only the Supreme Soul who has this knowledge eternally can give this knowledge to us.

⁵⁷अर्जुन को भी कहा है ना कि मुझ एक को जानने से तुम सब कुछ जान जायेंगे।

⁵⁷Arjuna was also told: By knowing Me alone, you will know everything.

⁵⁸हर चीज का नॉलेज मिल जाता है।

⁵⁸You receive the knowledge of everything.

⁵⁹तो परमात्मा सबमें मिला हुआ नहीं है, उनके कर्तव्य ही निराले हैं।

⁵⁹So the Supreme Soul is not merged in everyone. ⁶⁰His acts are totally unique.

⁶⁰आत्मा ही आत्मा में मिलकर एक नहीं हो सकती है तो परमात्मा में मिलकर एक कैसे हो सकती है?

⁶¹Souls cannot merge with other souls and become one soul, so how can souls merge with the Supreme Soul and become one?

⁶¹सतयुग में आत्मायें पवित्र हैं, कर्म-बन्धन के हिसाब-किताब से उस स्टेज में जीवनमुक्त हैं।

⁶²In satyug souls are pure and because of their karmic accounts they are in the stage of liberation in life.

⁶²उसी समय मैल नहीं रहती।

⁶³At that time they are not impure.

⁶³फिर अपने-अपने पार्ट में आने से संस्कारों की मैल चढ़ती जाती है। ⁶⁴मनुष्य के भिन्न-भिन्न संस्कार, भिन्न-भिन्न एक्टिविटी — यह किस आधार पर है?

⁶⁴Then, when they come to play their part, the impurity of their sanskars accumulates.' What are the different sanskars and activities of human beings based on?

⁶⁵इस भिन्नता की भी स्टेज हैं।

⁶⁵There are varying degrees within these differences too.

⁶⁶आत्मायें अपनी तमोगुणी स्टेज में भी अपने-अपने संस्कार वाली हैं।

⁶⁶Even in their impure stage, souls have their own sanskars.

⁶⁷रजो में भी भिन्नता है तो तमो में भी भिन्नता है।

⁶⁷There is a variety in their rajo (middle stage) as wei! as in their tamo (most degraded) stage.

⁶⁸सतयुग में जब जीवनमुक्त हैं, यथा राजा-रानी तथा प्रजा।

⁶⁸In satyug, when souls were experiencing liberation in life, there were kings and queens and also subjects.

⁶⁹तो यह राजा-रानी-प्रजा सब थे ना।

⁶⁹There were all of these.

⁷⁰भिन्नता न होती तो सब राजायें होते।

⁷⁰If there weren't any variety, then all would be kings.

⁷¹प्रजा है तो राजा अवश्य है।

⁷¹Since there are subjects, there is definitely a king as well.

⁷²सब राजा हों तो फिर खेल ही न हो।

⁷²If all were kings, there would be no game.

⁷³इन सभी महीन बातों को बुद्धि से समझना है।

⁷³All these deep aspects have to be understood with the intellect.

⁷⁴विवेक को खोलना है।

⁷⁴You have to broaden your reasoning.

⁷⁵परमात्मा आकर अनुभव, विवेक के आधार पर समझाते हैं।

⁷⁵God comes and explains on the basis of experienoe and reasoning.

⁷⁶राइट रांग क्या है? ⁷⁷— सो सोचना है जरुर।

⁷⁶You have to think about what is right and what is wrong.

⁷⁸कहते हैं — भगवान ने ऐसा खेल क्यों रचा?

⁷⁷People say: Why did God create such a game?

⁷⁹बच्चों को दुःखी करना — क्या यह बाप का खेल है?

⁷⁸Is it the Pather's game to make the children unhappy?

⁸⁰बाप कहते हैं कि मैंने जो खेल रचा है उसमें भिन्नता थी।

⁷⁹Baba says: There was a variety in the game that I created.

⁸¹मैंने सुख का खेल रचा।

⁸⁰I created a game of happiness.

⁸²यह तो फिर मनुष्यों ने मुझको भूलकर अपने को भुलाया है और अपने लिए कर्मभोग बनाया है।

⁸¹But human beings then forgot Me and forgot themselves and created the suffering of karma for themselves.

⁸³मैंने तो ऐसे कर्म-भोग से छुड़ाया था, तब तो मुझे दुःख-हर्ता सुख-कर्त्ता कहा गया है।

⁸²I liberated you from such suffering of karma and this is why I am remembered as the Remover of Sorrow and the Bestower of Happiness.

⁸⁴यह है समझने की बात।

⁸³This is something to be understood.

⁸⁵यह सुनने वाला भी रेग्युलर चाहिए क्योंकि गुह्य पढ़ाई होती जाती है।

⁸⁴Those who come to listen to knowledge have to be regular because the study gets deeper day by day.

⁸⁶भल वही बात १० बार सुनी होगी परन्तु कोई दिन वह बात पूरी रीति बुद्धि में बैठ जाएगी।

⁸⁵You may have heard the same thing ten times, but one day it will penetrate your intellect.

⁸⁷रेग्युलर पढ़ने से ही पूरी धारणा होगी।

⁸⁶Only when you study regularly are you able to imbibe completely.

⁸⁸विनाशी पद पाने में भी रेग्युलर पढ़ाई होती है ना।

⁸⁷You have to study regularly in order to attain even a perishable status.

⁸⁹यह भी पढ़ाई है और इनका टाईम भी यह थोड़ा-सा है।

⁸⁸This is also study and it is only for a short time.

⁹⁰ऐसे नहीं कि परम्परा गुरुओं की गद्दी चलती है।

⁸⁹It isn't that the throne of the gurus continues from time immemorial.

⁹¹नहीं, परमात्मा तो कहते हैं सतगुरु हूँ ही मैं एक।

⁹⁰No, the Supreme Soul says: I alone am the Satguru.

⁹²मैं ही सद्गति देता हूँ।

⁹¹I alone grant salvation.

⁹³सद्गति को ही प्रालब्ध कहेंगे।

⁹²Salvation is said to be the reward.

⁹⁴दुर्गति को प्रालब्ध नहीं कहा जाता है।

⁹³Degradation cannot be called the reward.

⁹⁵सिर्फ सत्य-सत्य कहने से न कल्याण हुआ है, न होने वाला है।

⁹⁴By Simply just saying, "It is true, it is true", neither has there been benefit nor will , there be benefit.

⁹⁶हर बात को विवेक से समझना चाहिए ना।

⁹⁵You have to understand everything with reasoning.

⁹⁷मंजिल बरोबर ऊंच है।

⁹⁶The destination is very high.

⁹⁸विकारों को पूरा जीतना है तब तो सम्पूर्ण बनेंगे।

⁹⁷You have to conquer the vices completely, and only then will you become complete.

⁹⁹विकारों से युद्ध करनी है।

⁹⁸You have to battle with the vices.

¹⁰⁰इसमें अगर खुद नहीं पहुँच सकते तो शान्त में रहें।

⁹⁹If you are not able to do anything, just remain peaoeful.

¹⁰¹औरों की शान्ति में विघ्न डालना, ऐसे को कल्प पहले भी परमात्मा ने कहा है राहू और भस्मासुर।

¹⁰⁰Those who create obstacles in others' peaoe have been called devils by God in the previous kalpa.

¹⁰²अपने को ही भस्म कर देते हैं।

¹⁰¹They bum themselves.

¹⁰³असुर तो पहले ही हैं।

¹⁰²They are devils anyway.

¹⁰⁴ज्ञान अमृत पी फिर उल्टा बनते हैं तो उनको भस्मासुर कहा जाता है।

¹⁰³They drink the nectar of knowledge and then turn away and so they are called Bhasmasur (the devil who burnt himself).

¹⁰⁵तो ज्ञान अमृत पीकर और ही भस्मासुर तो नहीं बनना चाहिए।

¹⁰⁴So you should not drink the nectar of knowledge but then become Bhasmasur.

¹⁰⁶अपना काम है सूचना देना।

¹⁰⁵Your duty is to warn others.

¹⁰⁷बुरे बनो तो भी कितने तक बनो, अच्छा बनो तो भी कितने तक बनो?

¹⁰⁶If you become bad, to what extent will you become bad? ¹⁰⁷And if you become good, to what extent will you become good?

¹⁰⁸बुराई में भी स्टेजेस हैं — सतो, रजो, तमो।

¹⁰⁸There are stages even in being bad: sato, rajo and tamo.

¹⁰⁹ऐसे नहीं कि एकदम चकनाचूर हो जाओ।

¹⁰⁹You should not get totally crushed.

¹¹⁰भल बुरे बनो यानी पद गँवाओ परन्तु एकदम भस्मासुर तो नहीं बनो ना।

¹¹⁰You may become bad, that is, you may lose your status, but do not become completely like Bhasmasur.

¹¹¹खुद नहीं चल सकते हो तो औरों को तो विघ्न नहीं डालो।

¹¹¹If you yourself are not able to continue here, · at least do not create obstacles for others.

¹¹²करते तो सब अपने लिए हैं ना।

¹¹²Whatever anyone does is only for their own self.

¹¹³सच्चे पुरुषार्थी को तो यह विघ्न आदि और ही फोर्स (जोश) दिलाएंगे।

¹¹³Obstacles would add even greater strength to true effort-makers.

¹¹⁴बाप का फर्ज है सपूत अथवा कपूत बच्चों को समझाना।

¹¹⁴It is the Father's duty to explain to the worthy and the unworthy children.

¹¹⁵कपूत प्रति भी सूचना दी जाती है — मुफ्त अपना पद भ्रष्ट करते हो।

¹¹⁵Even the unworthy children are cautioned: You are destroying your status for nothing.

¹¹⁶बनाने वाले तो अपना पद बना ही लेंगे।

¹¹⁶Those who want to will create their own status.

¹¹⁷बिगाड़ेंगे फिर भी अपनी।

¹¹⁷Those who destroy something will only destroy it for themselves.

¹¹⁸इसलिए कुछ सोचना चाहिए।

¹¹⁸Therefore you should think about this.

¹¹⁹अच्छा।

¹¹⁹Achcha.
