16Those who speak about knowledge through their lips are a little less than those of the first number you were told about. 17They always have the remembrance of the Father in their eyes, so that they only reveal the image of the Father, whereas these ones do service through their throat, and this is why they become part of the necklace.

30All the many different types of difficulties do distress you, and because of becoming distressed, you move away from your own honour. 31And because of moving away from your honour, you become distressed.

35अगर अपनी शान में स्थित हो जाओ तो परेशान हो नहीं सकते . agar apnī śhān mē̃ sthit hō jāō tō parēśhān hō nahī̃ saktē . agar apnā[pn.ā=>ī;f.] śhān[n.f.;sg.] mē̃[postp.] sthit[adj.] hōnā[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2.root+jānā] tō parēśhān[adj.] hōnā[root]|hōnā[pres.pl.2] nahī̃[neg] saknā[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] . if one’s own honour in stabilised be[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2.root+jānā] then distressed (be[root]|be[pres.pl.2]) not can[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] . 36तो सर्व परेशानियों को मिटाने के लिए सिर्फ शब्द के अर्थ-स्वरूप में टिक जाओ . tō sarv parēśhāniyō̃ kō miṭānē kē liē sirph śhabda kē|K arth-svarūp mē̃ ṭik jāō . tō sarv[adj.] parēśhānī[n.f.ī=>iyō̃;pl.o.] kō[postp.] miṭānā[inf.m.pl.,o.] kē liē[x] sirph[adj.] śhabd[n.m.;sg.,d.] kā[postp.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.]|K x mē̃[postp.] ṭiknā[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2.root+jānā] . then all distress to x[inf.m.pl.,o.] for only word (of|K) x in stay[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2.root+jānā] .

33So what does it mean to be distressed? 34In order to finish all difficulties, stabilise yourself in the meaning of this word, (honour), that is, stabilise yourself in the stage of your honour.

37अर्थात् अपने शान में स्थित हो जाओ तो शान से मान सदैव प्राप्त होता है . arthāt apnē śhān mē̃ sthit hō jāō tō śhān sē mān sadaiv prāpt hōtā hai . arthāt apnā[pn.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] śhān[n.f.;sg.] mē̃[postp.] sthit[adj.] hōnā[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2.root+jānā] tō śhān[n.f.;sg.] sē[postp.] mānnā[root]|mān[n.m.;sg.,d.] sadā prāpt[adj.] hōnā[pres.sg.m.23] . that is one’s own honour in stabilised be[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2.root+jānā] then honour from (x[root]|respect) constantly reached be[pres.sg.m.23] . 38इसलिए शान-मान कहा जाता है . isliē śān-mān kahā jātā hai . isliē x kahnā[pres.sg.m.23.past-part+jānā]|kahnā[pres.sg.m.23.passive] . therefore x (say[pres.sg.m.23.past-part+jānā]|say[pres.sg.m.23.passive]) .

35For maintaining your own honour, you constantly receive respect. 36This is why the two words are used together: honour and respect.

39तो अपनी शान को जानो . tō apnī śhān kō jānō . tō apnā[pn.ā=>ī;f.] śhān[n.f.;sg.] kō[postp.] jānnā[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2] . then one’s own honour to know[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2] .

37Therefore, know your own honour.

40जितना जो अपनी शान में स्थित होते हैं उतना ही उनको मान मिलता है . jitnā jō apnī śhān mē̃ sthit hōtē haĩ utnā hī unkō mān miltā hai . jitnā[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] jō[pn.;d.] apnā[pn.ā=>ī;f.] śhān[n.f.;sg.] mē̃[postp.] sthit[adj.] hōnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] utnā[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] hī[p.] vah[pn.pl.kō] mānnā[root]|mān[n.m.;sg.,d.] milnā[pres.sg.m.23] . the more that one’s own honour in stabilised be[pres.pl.m.12hon3] x only that[.kō] (x[root]|respect) receive[pres.sg.m.23] .

38To the extent someone is stabilised in his honour, accordingly he receives respect.

41अपनी शान को जानते हो  ? apnī śhān kō jāntē hō  ? apnā[pn.ā=>ī;f.] śhān[n.f.;sg.] kō[postp.] jānnā[pres.pl.m.2]  ? one’s own honour to know[pres.pl.m.2]  ?

39Do you know your honour (pride)?

42कितनी ऊंची शान है  ! kitnī ūñchī śhān hai  ! kitnā[adj.ā=>ī;f.] ūñch[adj.ā=>ī;f.] śhān[n.f.;sg.] hōnā[pres.sg.23]  ! so elevated honour be[pres.sg.23]  !

40How elevated is it?

43लौकिक रीति भी शान वाला कभी भी ऐसा कर्त्तव्य नहीं करेगा जो शान के विरूद्ध हो . laukik rīti bhī śhān vālā kabhī bhī aisā karttavya nahī̃ karēgā jō śhān kē|K virūddh hō . laukik[adj.] rīti[n.f.;sg.] bhī[p.] śhān[n.f.;sg.] vālā[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] kabhī[adv.] bhī[p.] aisā[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] kartavya[n.m.;sg.,d.] nahī̃[neg] karnā[fut.m.sg.23] jō[pn.;d.] śhān[n.f.;sg.] kā[postp.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.]|K viruddh[adj.] hōnā[root]|hōnā[pres.pl.2] . worldly way too honour those who ever too such activity not do[fut.m.sg.23] that honour (of|K) against (be[root]|be[pres.pl.2]) .

41In a worldly way also, those who maintain their own honour never perform any actions that would be against their honour.

44अपनी शान सदैव याद रखो तो कर्म भी शानदार होंगे और परेशान भी नहीं होंगे . apnī śhān sadaiv yād rakhō tō karma bhī śhāndār hōṅgē aur parēśhān bhī nahī̃ hōṅgē . apnā[pn.ā=>ī;f.] śhān[n.f.;sg.] sadā yād rakhnā[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2] tō karm[n.m.;sg.,d.] bhī[p.] śhāndār[adj.] hōnā[fut.m.pl.12hon3] aur parēśhān[adj.] bhī[p.] nahī̃[neg] hōnā[fut.m.pl.12hon3] . one’s own honour constantly remember then deed too dignified be[fut.m.pl.12hon3] and distressed too not be[fut.m.pl.12hon3] .

42Constantly remember your honour, and then your actions will also be elevated, and you will not be distressed either.

43So is this not an easy yukti to finish all difficulties?

46कोई भी बुराई को समाप्त करने के लिए बाप की बड़ाई करो . kōī bhī burāī kō samāpt karnē kē liē bāp kī|key baṛāī karō . kōī bhī[x] burāī[n.f.ī=>ī;sg.] kō[postp.] samāpt[adj.] karnā[inf.m.pl.,o.] kē liē[x] bāp[n.m.;sg.,d.] kā[postp.ā=>ī;f.]|karnā[past-part.f.]|key baṛāī[n.f.ī=>ī;sg.] karnā[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2] . anyone bad thing to finished do[inf.m.pl.,o.] for father (of|do[past-part.f.]|key) praise do[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2] .

44In order to finish anything negative (burai), sing Baba's praise (badai).

45Simply through an alteration of one accent, so much difference is created.

48बुराई और बड़ाई , सिर्फ एक मात्रा को पलटाना है . burāī aur baṛāī , sirph ēk mātrā kō palṭānā hai . burāī[n.f.ī=>ī;sg.] aur baṛāī[n.f.ī=>ī;sg.] , sirph[adj.] ēk[adj.] mātrā[n.f.;sg.] kō[postp.] palṭānā[pres.sg.23.oblig1] . bad thing and praise , only one trace to turn around[pres.sg.23.oblig1] .

46You simply have to change that one accent Even a small child of five years can do this.

49यह तो 5 वर्ष का छोटा बच्चा भी कर सकता है . yah tō 5 varṣh kā chhōṭā bachchā bhī kar saktā hai . yah[pn.sg.d.] tō 5 varṣh[n.m.;sg.,d.] kā[postp.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] chhōṭā[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] bachchā[n.m.ā=>ā;sg.d.] bhī[p.] karnā[pres.sg.m.23.root+saknā] . this then 5 year of small child too do[pres.sg.m.23.root+saknā] .

47Always continue to sing the praise of the greatness of the highest-on-high Father.

48The entire study (padai) is included in this. 49So, what happens by singing Baba's praise?

51तो यह बाप की बड़ाई करने से क्या होगा  ? tō yah bāp kī|key baṛāī karnē sē kyā hōgā  ? tō yah[pn.sg.d.] bāp[n.m.;sg.,d.] kā[postp.ā=>ī;f.]|karnā[past-part.f.]|key baṛāī[n.f.ī=>ī;sg.] karnā[inf.m.pl.,o.] sē[postp.] kyā hōnā[fut.m.sg.23]  ? then this father (of|do[past-part.f.]|key) praise do[inf.m.pl.,o.] from what be[fut.m.sg.23]  ?

57In no form can Maya ever attract those who constantly remain happy. 58So, in order to free yourself from the attraction of Maya, firstly, constantly maintain your state of honour. 59Secondly, consider Maya to be a game, and whilst playing the game, constantly remain happy.
