⁰ 19/06/23 Morning Murli Om Shanti BapDada Madhuban

¹“मीठे बच्चे - मुख में मुहलरा डाल लो अर्थात् अपने शान्ति स्वधर्म में स्थित हो जाओ तो माया कुछ भी कर नहीं सकती''

¹Essence: Sweet children, put a bead in your mouth, that is, stabilise in your original religion of peace and Maya will not be able to do anything.

²प्रश्न:- एक शिवबाबा ही भोलानाथ है, दूसरा कोई भी भोलानाथ नहीं हो सकता - क्यों?

²Question: Only one Shiv Baba is the Innocent Lord; why can no one else be an innocent Lord?

³उत्तर:- क्योंकि एक शिवबाबा ही है, जिसे अपने लिए कोई भी तमन्ना (इच्छा) नहीं।

³Answer: Because only Shiv Baba has no desires for Himself.He comes andbecomes the children’s Server. ⁴He liberates you children from the slavery of Maya.

⁴वह आकर बच्चों का सेवाधारी बनते हैं। ⁵बच्चों को माया की गुलामी से छुड़ाते हैं।

⁵He makes every child a master ocean of knowledge, similar to Himself.

⁶हर बच्चे को आप समान मास्टर ज्ञान सागर बनाते हैं।

⁶He fills your aprons with jewels of knowledge.

⁷ज्ञान रत्नों से झोली भरते हैं।

⁷No one else can be as altruistic a server as Him.

⁸ऐसा निष्काम सेवाधारी दूसरा कोई भी हो नहीं सकता इसलिए भोलानाथ एक शिवबाबा को ही कहेंगे।

⁸This is why only one Shiv Baba is called the Innocent Lord.

⁹Song: No one is unique like the Innocent Lord.

¹⁰ओम् शान्ति।

¹⁰Om shanti.

¹¹भक्ति मार्ग में जो होकर गये हैं, उनकी महिमा गाते हैं कि ऐसा था।

¹¹The praise is sung of those who existed on the path of devotion: they were like this.

¹²जो यहाँ हैं, उनको कहेंगे कि ऐसे हैं।

¹²It is said of all those who are here now: They are like this.

¹³शरीर छोड़ गये तो कहेंगे-ऐसा था। ¹⁴जरूर परमात्मा की भी महिमा करते हैं।

¹³However, for those who have left their bodies, you would say they were like this.

¹⁵नहीं तो महिमा क्यों होती।

¹⁴Devotees definitely sing the praise of the Supreme Father.

¹⁶अभी प्रैक्टिकल में हैं।

¹⁵Otherwise, why is the praise sung?

¹⁷सब भक्तों का भगवान एक है।

¹⁶He is here now practically.

¹⁸भक्तों का रक्षक वा भक्तों को सद्गति देने वाला, उसको ही जादूगर कहेंगे।

¹⁷The God of all the devotees is One. ¹⁸He is called the Magician who protects the devotees and grants them salvation.

¹⁹गाया भी जाता है सर्व का सद्गति-दाता।

¹⁹It is remembered that He is the Bestower of Salvation for All.

²⁰सर्व को सद्गति अभी मिलती है।

²⁰Everyone receives salvation now.

²¹नम्बरवार जो वैराइटी धर्म वाले मनुष्य हैं, सबको गति-सद्गति देते हैं जरूर।

²¹Human beings of all the variety of religions that are numberwise will definitely receive liberation and salvation.

²²सब मनुष्यमात्र मुक्तिधाम में जाते हैं जरूर।

²²All human beings definitely go to the land of liberation.

²³फिर आते हैं सतोप्रधान में। ²⁴नम्बरवार ही आयेंगे ना।

²³They will then come down, numberwise, in their satopradhan stage.

²⁵पहले देवतायें, फिर क्षत्रिय, फिर वैश्य... आयेंगे। ²⁶वर्ण बदलेंगे जरूर।

²⁴The deities will come first, then the warriors and then the merchants; they will definitely change clans.

²⁷कोई अच्छा काम करके जाते हैं तो उनकी महिमा करेंगे।

²⁵Praise is sung of those who performed good actions when they existed.

²⁸वह तो अल्पकाल के लिए महिमा चलती है क्योंकि बच्चे जानते हैं - विनाश सामने खड़ा है।

²⁶Such praise only lasts for a temporary period, because you children know that destruction is standing ahead.

²⁹सबसे जास्ती महिमा उनकी होती है, जो पहले-पहले आते हैं।

²⁷Those who came at the beginning receive the maximum praise.

³⁰भक्ति मार्ग में पहले-पहले शिवबाबा की ही पूजा शुरू होती है।

²⁸On the path of devotion, it is the worship of Shiv Baba that begins first.

³¹अभी होकर जाते हैं। ³²इनका गायन पूजन फिर भक्ति-मार्ग में होता है।

²⁹Because of His being here now, He is later praised and worshipped on the path of devotion.

³³सतयुग में तो भक्ति होती नहीं।

³⁰There is no devotion in the golden age.

³⁴उन्हों को यह भी पता नहीं होता कि पहले क्या था अथवा सतयुग के बाद त्रेता होगा।

³¹They don’t even know what existed before them or that the silver age comes after the golden age.

³⁵इसमें बुद्धि से काम लेना होता है।

³²You have to use your intellects in this.

³⁶भक्ति मार्ग शुरू होता है द्वापर से।

³³The path of devotion begins with the copper age.

³⁷जो बुद्धिवान बच्चे हैं वह अच्छी रीति समझ सकते हैं।

³⁴The intelligent children who have memorised knowledge can understand it very clearly.

³⁸जिनको ज्ञान की कण्ठी पड़ी हुई है।

³⁵However, they are all parrots.

³⁹हैं सब पैरट्स (तोते)। ⁴⁰कोई को अच्छी कण्ठी रहती है, कोई तो कुछ भी समझते नहीं हैं। ⁴¹कबूतर हैं।

³⁶Some of them are able to memorise this knowledge very well, whereas others do not understand anything; they are like pigeons.

⁴²तोते को सिखलाया जाता है, वह रिपीट करते हैं।

³⁷A parrot can be taught to repeat something.

⁴³कबूतर सीख नहीं सकते हैं।

³⁸Pigeons cannot learn anything.

⁴⁴अमरनाथ में कबूतर दिखाते हैं।

³⁹There are pigeons at Amarnath.

⁴⁵कबूतर सिर्फ पैगाम पहुँचाते हैं।

⁴⁰Pigeons simply carry messages.

⁴⁶तोते जो सुना वह रिपीट करते हैं।

⁴¹A parrot repeats whatever it hears.

⁴⁷कबूतर रिपीट नहीं कर सकते।

⁴²Pigeons are unable to repeat anything.

⁴⁸यहाँ भी ऐसे हैं जो सुनकर रिपीट नहीं कर सकते, उनको कबूतर कहेंगे।

⁴³Here, too, those who are unable to repeat what they have heard are called pigeons.

⁴⁹इस समय अनुसार ह्यूमन तोते भी हैं और ह्यूमन कबूतर भी हैं।

⁴⁴According to the present time, there are human parrots as well as human pigeons.

⁵⁰इस समय के जो भी मनुष्य हैं, जो कुछ बोलते हैं - वह कोई काम का नहीं।

⁴⁵Whatever people say at this time, it is all useless.

⁵¹बाप है रूप-बसन्त।

⁴⁶The Father is Rup-Basant.

⁵²बाबा ने समझाया है इनका कोई बड़ा रूप नहीं है।

⁴⁷Baba has explained that He doesn’t have a large form.

⁵³कोई पूछे शिव बाबा का रूप क्या है? ⁵⁴तो समझाना चाहिए - शिवबाबा का रूप ऐसे है जैसे आत्मा का है।

⁴⁸If anyone asks what Shiv Baba’s form is, you should explain that Shiv Baba’s form is the same as the form of souls.

⁵⁵जैसा बाप वैसे बच्चे।

⁴⁹As is the Father, so His children.

⁵⁶आत्मा कोई छोटी-बड़ी नहीं होती है।

⁵⁰Souls are not smaller or larger than the Father.

⁵⁷न बाप कोई बड़ा है। ⁵⁸वह है परमपिता परम आत्मा।

⁵¹He is the Supreme Father, the Supreme Soul.

⁵⁹वही हमको समझाते हैं।

⁵²He is the One who explains to us.

⁶⁰उनका नाम ही है भोलानाथ।

⁵³His name is the Innocent Lord.

⁶¹वह बहुत भोलानाथ है।

⁵⁴He is a very innocent Lord.

⁶²अपने लिए एक कौड़ी की भी तमन्ना नहीं रखते हैं।

⁵⁵He has no desires for Himself, not even for a shell.

⁶³बच्चे निश्चय करते हैं परमपिता परमात्मा ने इस शरीर द्वारा समझाया है।

⁵⁶You children have the faith that the Supreme Father, the Supreme Soul, has explained to us through this body.

⁶⁴आरगन्स बिगर तो आत्मा बोल न सके।

⁵⁷A soul cannot speak without organs.

⁶⁵बाप खुद बैठ समझाते हैं।

⁵⁸The Father Himself sits here and explains.

⁶⁶कहते भी हैं कि परमात्मा आते हैं, उनका नंदीगण भी है। ⁶⁷उन्होंने बैल रख दिया है।

⁵⁹People even say that God comes; there is His Nandigan (chariot of a bull that is worshipped).

⁶⁸जानवर तो नहीं हो सकता। ⁶⁹ऐसे थोड़े-ही है कि छलांग लगाकर बैल पर चढ़ते हैं।

⁶⁰They have shown a bull, but that couldn’t be an animal. ⁶¹It is not that He would jump onto a bull.

⁷⁰कहते भी हैं भागीरथ, भाग्यशाली रथ। ⁷¹परन्तु कोई को भी पता नहीं है।

⁶²They speak of Bhagirath, the lucky chariot, but no one knows how the Purifier comes.

⁷²वह पतित-पावन कैसे आते हैं, नर्क को स्वर्ग बनाने जरूर आया होगा, तब गाते हैं।

⁶³He must have surely come to transform hell into heaven; this is why He is praised.

⁷³भक्ति भी पहले-पहले शिवबाबा की करेंगे।

⁶⁴It is Shiv Baba who is worshipped first.

⁷⁴नम्बरवन वास्तव में सच्ची महिमा उनकी ही है।

⁶⁵In fact, the number one and true praise belongs to Him.

⁷⁵अब तो कुत्ते-बिल्ली आदि सबकी महिमा करते रहते हैं।

⁶⁶Now, they even praise cats and dogs and everything else.

⁷⁶नंदीगण बनाते हैं। ⁷⁷बैल को लेकर घूमते हैं।

⁶⁷They create a Nandigan; they go around with a bull.

⁷⁸अब यह शिवबाबा इस नंदीगण में आकर तुमको ज्ञान सुना रहे हैं।

⁶⁸Shiv Baba now enters this Nandigan and gives you knowledge.

⁷⁹ज्ञान दूध दे रहे हैं।

⁶⁹He is giving you the milk of knowledge.

⁸⁰उनकी महिमा कितनी है!

⁷⁰His praise is great.

⁸¹भोलानाथ भगवान है सबकी झोली भरने वाला।

⁷¹God is the Innocent Lord, the One who fills everyone’s apron.

⁸²शिव के आगे नहीं कहेंगे कि झोली भर दो क्योंकि समझते हैं वह निराकार है।

⁷²They do not say in front of Shiva, “Fill our aprons”, because they understand that He is incorporeal.

⁸³शंकर के आगे झोली ले जाते हैं भरने लिए।

⁷³They take their aprons in front of Shankar for him to fill them.

⁸⁴विष्णु और ब्रह्मा के पास नहीं जाते हैं। ⁸⁵शंकर के पास जाते हैं क्योंकि शिव और शंकर को मिला दिया है।

⁷⁴They do not go to Vishnu or Brahma, they go to Shankar because they have combined Shiva with Shankar.

⁸⁶समझते हैं कि शिव, शंकर का रूप है।

⁷⁵They think that Shiva is a form of Shankar.

⁸⁷पूजा करने वाले कुछ भी आक्यूपेशन को नहीं जानते हैं क्योंकि पहले-पहले जो पुजारी बना है, उनको ही कुछ पता नहीं था।

⁷⁶Those who perform worship don’t know the occupation of the ones they worship, because even the first one who becomes a worshipper does not know.

⁸⁸इनको कहेंगे आपही पूज्य देवी-देवता, आपही पुजारी।

⁷⁷This is known as becoming worthy-of-worship deities and then becoming worshippers.

⁸⁹अभी तुम समझते हो हम ही पूज्य देवी-देवता थे। ⁹⁰हम ही पुजारी बनते हैं।

⁷⁸You now understand that we were worthy-of-worship deities and that we were the ones who then became worshippers.

⁹¹शिव तो है मूलवतन वासी। ⁹²परन्तु मन्दिर तो हैं ना।

⁷⁹Shiva is the Resident of the supreme region but He is shown in the temples.

⁹³सूक्ष्मवतनवासी ब्रह्मा-विष्ण-शंकर का भी पार्ट है क्योंकि आते तो हैं ना।

⁸⁰Brahma, Vishnu and Shankar, the residents of the subtle region, also have parts, because they definitely do come.

⁹⁴शिव को भी आना तो पड़ता है। ⁹⁵शंकर का यहाँ काम नहीं।

⁸¹Shiva also has to come, but Shankar has no need to come here.

⁹⁶त्रिमूर्ति मार्ग भी नाम रखते हैं।

⁸²They even name streets ‘Trimurti Marg’.

⁹⁷त्रिमूर्ति का स्टैम्प भी बनाते हैं। ⁹⁸उसमें फिर शेर दिखाते हैं।

⁸³They also make stamps of the Trimurti but they show a lion in that.

⁹⁹नीचे लिखा है - ‘सत्यमेव जयते'।

⁸⁴They have written underneath: Victory for Truth.

¹⁰⁰ऐसे ठीक है।

⁸⁵This is accurate.

¹⁰¹सिर्फ शिव का नाम-निशान नहीं रखा है।

⁸⁶However, they do not show any name or trace of Shiva.

¹⁰²‘सत्यमेव जयते' - जानवर के नीचे नहीं लिखा जाता है।

⁸⁷“Victory for Truth” should not be written under an animal.

¹⁰³सत्य तो एक बाप ही है। ¹⁰⁴जो सच्ची कथा सुनाकर हमको विजयी बनाते हैं।

⁸⁸Only the one Father is the Truth, the One who relates the true story and makes us victorious.

¹⁰⁵सब बातें अच्छी रीति समझाते हैं।

⁸⁹He explains everything very clearly.

¹⁰⁶तुम मास्टर नॉलेजफुल बनते जाते हो।

⁹⁰You are becoming master knowledge-full.

¹⁰⁷जब से नॉलेज सुनना शुरू किया है, इनकी सब मुरलियां रखें तो सारा मकान ही भर जाये।

⁹¹If all the murlis were kept from the time you started hearing this knowledge, they would fill a whole building.

¹⁰⁸कितने कागज खलास करते होंगे और फिर खलास करते रहेंगे।

⁹²You must have used so much paper and you will have to use a great deal more.

¹⁰⁹मुरली बच्चों के पास जरूर जायेगी।

⁹³The murlis will definitely go to the children.

¹¹⁰बहुत कापियाँ निकलेंगी।

⁹⁴Many copies will be made.

¹¹¹झाड़ वृद्धि को पाता रहता है।

⁹⁵The tree continues to grow.

¹¹²बच्चे जानते हैं माया के तूफान तो बहुत आते हैं।

⁹⁶You children understand that many storms of Maya will come.

¹¹³मुहलरा मुख में पड़ा हुआ हो तो माया कुछ नहीं कर सकती है।

⁹⁷Keep a bead in your mouth and Maya will not then be able to do anything.

¹¹⁴बाबा को याद करना बहुत सहज है।

⁹⁸It is very easy to remember Baba.

¹¹⁵हम आत्मा हैं, आत्मा कहती है - मेरा स्वधर्म है शान्त।

⁹⁹I am a soul; I, this soul, say: My original religion is peace.

¹¹⁶हम सब परदेशी हैं। ¹¹⁷इस माया के देश में आते हैं।

¹⁰⁰We are all foreigners who come to this land of Maya.

¹¹⁸एक गीत है ना - ओ दूर देश के रहने वाले..... सब आत्मायें दूर देश की रहने वाली हैं।

¹⁰¹There is a song: O Resident of the faraway land! ¹⁰²All souls are residents of the faraway land.

¹¹⁹तुम अब जान गये हो - बरोबर हम परदेश में हैं।

¹⁰³You have come to know that you are now definitely in a foreign land.

¹²⁰बहुत दूरदेश से आते हैं, जिसको निराकारी दुनिया कहा जाता है।

¹⁰⁴You come from a very faraway land, which is called the incorporeal world.

¹²¹दुनिया में तो बहुत होंगे ना।

¹⁰⁵There are many people in the world.

¹²²तुम जानते हो हम सब परदेशी हैं।

¹⁰⁶You understand that you are all foreigners.

¹²³भक्ति मार्ग में भक्त भगवान को याद करते हैं।

¹⁰⁷Devotees on the path of devotion remember God.

¹²⁴भक्त चाहते हैं कि भगवान आये।

¹⁰⁸Devotees want God to come.

¹²⁵तो आकर क्या करे?

¹⁰⁹What will He do when He does come?

¹²⁶तुम बच्चों को पता है कि बाबा परमधाम से आते हैं।

¹¹⁰You children understand that Baba comes from the supreme abode.

¹²⁷कहते हैं - मुझे कलियुगी पतित दुनिया से स्वर्ग पावन दुनिया बनाना है।

¹¹¹He says: I have to transform this impure, iron-aged world into a pure world of heaven.

¹²⁸तुमको कोई मनुष्य नहीं पढ़ाते हैं।

¹¹²It is not a human being who is teaching you.

¹²⁹मनुष्य न अपनी सद्गति कर सकते हैं, न औरों को दे सकते हैं।

¹¹³A human being can neither bring salvation to himself nor grant salvation to others.

¹³⁰अब नाटक पूरा होता है।

¹¹⁴The play is now coming to an end.

¹³¹अन्त में सब एक्टर्स को हाजिर होना है।

¹¹⁵At the end, all the actors have to be present.

¹³²गीता में भी है। ¹³³सिर्फ शिवबाबा के बदले श्रीकृष्ण भगवानुवाच कह दिया है।

¹¹⁶This is also mentioned in the Gita, except that, instead of Shiv Baba, they have written, “God Shri Krishna speaks.”

¹³⁴श्रीकृष्ण तो है फर्स्ट प्रिन्स।

¹¹⁷Shri Krishna is the first prince.

¹³⁵उनके लिए समझते हैं हमको राजयोग सिखाया था।

¹¹⁸People think that it was he who taught Raj Yoga.

¹³⁶परन्तु अभी तुम जानते हो राजयोग सिखाने वाला भोलानाथ आया है।

¹¹⁹However, you now understand that it is the Innocent Lord who teaches you Raj Yoga and that He has come.

¹³⁷भोलानाथ, नॉलेजफुल बाप को कहा जाता है।

¹²⁰The knowledge-full Father is called the Innocent Lord.

¹³⁸फिर श्रीकृष्ण के ऊपर कलंक लगा देते हैं।

¹²¹People have made allegations against Shri Krishna.

¹³⁹वास्तव में वह श्रीकृष्ण के ऊपर नहीं लगाते, बाप के ऊपर लगाते हैं।

¹²²In fact, they are not made against Shri Krishna but against the Father.

¹⁴⁰पहले दादा के ऊपर कलंक नहीं लगता था।

¹²³Previously, no allegations were made against this Dada.

¹⁴¹बाप के आने पर कलंक लगाये हैं।

¹²⁴It was only after the Father came that allegations were made.

¹⁴²चलते-चलते राही ने आकर प्रवेश किया तब से देखो कितने कलंक लगाते आये हैं!

¹²⁵While he was moving along, the Traveller entered him, and just look how many allegations have been made since then!

¹⁴³यह रास लीला आदि सब खेल उनके हैं।

¹²⁶All of those dances and games etc. are the games of that One.

¹⁴⁴वही बच्चों को बहलाते हैं।

¹²⁷He is the One who entertains the children.

¹⁴⁵बच्चे जानते हैं हमको बाबा मिला है। ¹⁴⁶बाबा से हम रत्नों की झोली भर रहे हैं।

¹²⁸You children understand that you have found Baba and that you are filling your aprons with jewels.

¹⁴⁷शास्त्रों के ज्ञान को रत्न नहीं कहा जाता।

¹²⁹Knowledge of the scriptures cannot be called jewels.

¹⁴⁸यह हैं ज्ञान-रत्न।

¹³⁰These jewels are knowledge.

¹⁴⁹एक-एक रत्न लाखों रूपये का है।

¹³¹Each jewel is worth hundreds of thousands of rupees.

¹⁵⁰इस समय सभी मनुष्य एक दो को पत्थर मारते-मारते पत्थरबुद्धि बन गये हैं।

¹³²At this time, all human beings continue to throw stones at one another and have thereby become those with stone intellects.

¹⁵¹बाप आकर पत्थरबुद्धि से पारस बुद्धि बना देते हैं।

¹³³The Father comes and changes your stone intellects into divine intellects.

¹⁵²कब्रिस्तान से परिस्तान बन रहा है।

¹³⁴He transforms Kabristan (the Graveyard) into Paristhan (the land of Angels).

¹⁵³यहाँ तो घड़ी-घड़ी काल खाकर कब्रदाखिल कर देता है।

¹³⁵Death repeatedly comes here and buries people in the graveyard.

¹⁵⁴वहाँ तो ऐसे नहीं होता।

¹³⁶This does not happen there.

¹⁵⁵जैसे सर्प पुरानी खाल उतार नई ले लेते हैं वैसे पुराना शरीर छोड़ नया ले लेते हैं। ¹⁵⁶यह दृष्टांत बाबा अभी देते हैं।

¹³⁷Just as a snake sheds its old skin and takes a new one, in the same way, souls shed their old bodies and take new ones.

¹⁵⁷इनको फिर संन्यासी लोग अपने काम में लगा देते हैं।

¹³⁸Baba gives this example here; sannyasis then use it for their own purpose.

¹⁵⁸ऐसे समझते हैं कि बुदबुदा सागर में समा जाते हैं।

¹³⁹They believe that a bubble merges into the ocean.

¹⁵⁹कोई कहते ज्योति ज्योत में लीन हो जाती है। ¹⁶⁰अनेक मत हैं।

¹⁴⁰Some say that a light merges into the light; there are many opinions.

¹⁶¹अब तुमको मिलती है एक मत। ¹⁶²उस पर चलना पड़े।

¹⁴¹You now receive one direction that you have to follow.

¹⁶³बाबा कहते हैं तुम जन्म-जन्मान्तर मुझे पुकारते हो, मैं एक ही बार आता हूँ।

¹⁴²Baba says: You have been calling out to Me for birth after birth, but I only come once.

¹⁶⁴तुमने बहुत पुकारा - मैं गुलाम तेरा... बाप आकर गुलाम-पने से छुड़ाते हैं।

¹⁴³You called out a great deal, saying: I am Your slave! ¹⁴⁴The Father comes and frees you from slavery.

¹⁶⁵तुम माया के गुलाम बन पड़े हो।

¹⁴⁵You became Maya’s slaves.

¹⁶⁶बाप आकर उनसे लिबरेट करते हैं।

¹⁴⁶The Father comes and liberates you from that.

¹⁶⁷तुम जानते हो हमने बहुत भक्ति की है।

¹⁴⁷You know that you have done a great deal of devotion.

¹⁶⁸अब भक्ति का फल देने बाप आये हैं।

¹⁴⁸The Father has now come to give you the fruit of your devotion.

¹⁶⁹अब भक्ति का पार्ट पूरा हुआ।

¹⁴⁹The part of devotion is now over.

¹⁷⁰ज्ञान, भक्ति फिर है वैराग्य।

¹⁵⁰There is this knowledge, devotion and then disinterest.

¹⁷¹वैराग्य भी दो प्रकार का है।

¹⁵¹There are two types of disinterest.

¹⁷²वह संन्यासियों का वैराग्य है घरबार छोड़ने का।

¹⁵²The disinterest that the sannyasis have is to leave their homes and families.

¹⁷³यह तुम्हारा है सारी पुरानी दुनिया से वैराग्य।

¹⁵³The disinterest that you have is in the entire old world.

¹⁷⁴यह तो तुम बच्चे जानते हो - यह सब भस्म हो जाने हैं। ¹⁷⁵कुछ भी नहीं रहेगा।

¹⁵⁴You children know that all of this is going to be burnt away; nothing will remain.

²⁶⁵जो पीछे की बातें, कमजोरी की बातें सोचते हैं, पीछे देखते हैं, तो पीछे देखना अर्थात् रावण का आना।

²⁴¹Those who think of the past or of their weaknesses or look back are in fact invoking Ravan.
