9It isn't that happiness and sorrow exist at the same time.

17You remember that which no longer exists.

18अगर सुख होता तो फिर उनकी चाहना क्यों होती  ? agar sukh hōtā tō phir unkī chāhnā kyō̃ hōtī  ? agar sukh[n.m.;sg.,d.] hōnā[pres-part.m.sg.d.] tō phir[adv.]|phirnā[root] vah[pn.pl.kī] chāhnā[inf.m.sg.d.] kyō̃ hōnā[pres-part.f.]  ? if happiness be[pres-part.m.sg.d.] then (then|turn[root]) that[.kī] x[inf.m.sg.d.] why be[pres-part.f.]  ?

18If you had happiness, why would you desire it?

19भल धनवान है , मर्तबे वाले हैं , वह भी सुख को याद करते हैं . bhal dhanvān hai , martabē vālē haĩ , vah bhī sukh kō yād kartē haĩ . bhal dhanvān[adj.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] , martabā[n.m.ā=>ē;sg.o.,m.pl.d.] vālā[adj.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] hōnā[pres.pl.12hon3] , vah[pn.sg.d.] bhī[p.] sukh[n.m.;sg.,d.] kō[postp.] yād karnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] . although x be[pres.sg.23] , status those who be[pres.pl.12hon3] , that too happiness to remember .

19Though someone may be wealthy and in a high position, he also thinks about happiness.

20तो जरुर वह चीज अभी नहीं है जिसको सब चाहते हैं . tō jarur vah chīj abhī nahī̃ hai jiskō sab chāhtē haĩ . tō zarūr vah[pn.sg.d.] chīz[n.f.;sg.] ab[adv.hī] nahī̃[neg] hōnā[pres.sg.23] jō[pn.sg.kō] sab[adj.] chāhnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] . then definitely that thing now not be[pres.sg.23] that[.kō] all x[pres.pl.m.12hon3] .

20So it must definitely be because that does not exist any more, and because everyone wishes to have it.

21प्रेजेन्ट वह होती तो चाहना क्यों रखते  ? present vah hōtī tō chāhnā kyō̃ rakhtē  ? present vah[pn.sg.d.] hōnā[pres-part.f.] tō chāhnā[inf.m.sg.d.] kyō̃ rakhnā[pres-part.m.pl.,o.]  ? present that be[pres-part.f.] then x[inf.m.sg.d.] why keep[pres-part.m.pl.,o.]  ?

21If that thing were present, why should they have a desire for it?

22अब अपना पुरुषार्थ उस चीज के लिए है जो चीज इस दुनिया में है नहीं . ab apnā puruṣhārth us chīj kē liē hai jō chīj is duniyā mē̃ hai nahī̃ . ab[adv.] apnā[pn.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.]|apnānā[root] puruṣhārth[n.m.;sg.,d.] vah[pn.sg.o.] chīz[n.f.;sg.] kē liē[x] hōnā[pres.sg.23] jō[pn.;d.] chīz[n.f.;sg.] yah[pn.sg.o.] duniyā[n.f.;sg.] mē̃[postp.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] nahī̃[neg] . now (one’s own|adopt[root]) effort that thing for be[pres.sg.23] that thing this world in be[pres.sg.23] not .

22We are now making effort for something which does not exist in this world.

23इस दुनिया से किनारा कर लिया है क्योंकि यह है ही पुरानी तमोप्रधान नर्क की दुनिया . is duniyā sē kinārā kar liyā hai kyōṅki yah hai hī purānī tamōpradhān nark kī|key duniyā . yah[pn.sg.o.] duniyā[n.f.;sg.] sē[postp.] kinārā[n.m.ā=>ā;sg.d.] karnā[pres-perf.sg.m.23.root+lēnā] kyōṅki yah[pn.sg.d.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] hī[p.] purānā[adj.ā=>ī;f.] tamōpradhān[adj.] nark[n.m.;sg.,d.] karnā[past-part.f.]|kā[postp.ā=>ī;f.]|key duniyā[n.f.;sg.] . this world from x do[pres-perf.sg.m.23.root+lēnā] because this be[pres.sg.23] only old tamopradhan hell (do[past-part.f.]|of|key) world .

23We have moved away from this world because this is the old, tamopradhan world of hell.

24वह सुख की दुनिया ही और है . vah sukh kī|key duniyā hī aur hai . vah[pn.sg.d.] sukh[n.m.;sg.,d.] karnā[past-part.f.]|kā[postp.ā=>ī;f.]|key duniyā[n.f.;sg.] hī[p.] aur hōnā[pres.sg.23] . that happiness (do[past-part.f.]|of|key) world only and be[pres.sg.23] . 25अब है रात . ab hai rāt . ab[adv.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] rāt[n.f.;sg.] . now be[pres.sg.23] night .

24That world of happiness is something else. 25It is now the night.

26दिन और रात की तो रौनक ही अपनी-अपनी है . din aur rāt kī|key tō raunak hī apnī-apnī hai . din[n.m.;sg.,d.] aur rāt[n.f.;sg.] karnā[past-part.f.]|kā[postp.ā=>ī;f.]|key tō raunak[n.f.;sg.] hī[p.] apnā[pn.ā=>ī;f.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] . day and night (do[past-part.f.]|of|key) then splendour only one’s own be[pres.sg.23] .

26The day and night each have their own beauty.

27तो हम उसके पीछे लगे हुए हैं - ऐसी दुनिया के सुख को प्राप्त करें . tō ham uskē pīchhē lagē huē haĩ - aisī duniyā kē|K sukh kō prāpt karē̃ . tō ham[pn.pl.] uskā[pn.sg.kē] pīchhē lagnā[opt.sg.23]|lagnā[past-part.m.pl.,o.]|lagā[adj.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] hōnā[pres-perf.pl.m.12hon3] - aisā[adj.ā=>ī;f.] duniyā[n.f.;sg.] kā[postp.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.]|K sukh[n.m.;sg.,d.] kō[postp.] prāpt karnā[opt.pl.12hon3] . then we of that[.kē] x (x[opt.sg.23]|x[past-part.m.pl.,o.]|x) be[pres-perf.pl.m.12hon3] - such world (of|K) happiness to reach .

27We are chasing after the happiness of that world.

28इसलिए पुरानी दुनिया से किनारा किया है . isliē purānī duniyā sē kinārā kiyā hai . isliē purānā[adj.ā=>ī;f.] duniyā[n.f.;sg.] sē[postp.] kinārā[n.m.ā=>ā;sg.d.] karnā[pres-perf.sg.m.23] . therefore old world from x do[pres-perf.sg.m.23] .

28This is why we have moved away from the old world.

29यह तो है ही असार संसार . yah tō hai hī asār saṅsār . yah[pn.sg.d.] tō hōnā[pres.sg.23] hī[p.] asār[adj.] saṅsār[x] . this then be[pres.sg.23] only x world .

29This world no longer has any value.

30सार वाला संसार ही दूसरा है . sār vālā saṅsār hī dūsrā hai . sār[n.m.;sg.,d.] vālā[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] saṅsār[x] hī[p.] dūsrā[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] . essence those who world only other be[pres.sg.23] .

30The world that has value is a different world.

31इस दुनिया में जो कुछ है उसकी आसक्ति छोड़नी है . is duniyā mē̃ jō kuchh hai uskī āsakti chhōṛnī hai . yah[pn.sg.o.] duniyā[n.f.;sg.] mē̃[postp.] jō kuchh[x] hōnā[pres.sg.23] vah[pn.sg.kī] āsakti[n.f.;sg.] chhōṛnā[pres.sg.23.oblig1] . this world in whatever be[pres.sg.23] that[.kī] attraction renounce[pres.sg.23.oblig1] .

31You must not have any attraction to whatever exists in this world.

32मान , मर्तबा , धन आदि कोई भी चीज में इच्छा नहीं रखनी है . mān , martabā , dhan ādi kōī bhī chīj mē̃ ichchhā nahī̃ rakhnī hai . mān[n.m.;sg.,d.]|mānnā[root] , martabā[n.m.ā=>ā;sg.d.] , dhan[n.m.;sg.,d.] ādi[adj.] kōī bhī[x] chīz[n.f.;sg.] mē̃[postp.] ichchhā[n.f.;sg.] nahī̃[neg] rakhnā[pres.sg.23.oblig1] . (respect|x[root]) , status , wealth etc. anyone thing in desire not keep[pres.sg.23.oblig1] .

32You must not have any desire for regard, position, wealth etc.

33पहले तो यह कान्ट्रास्ट बुद्धि में रहना चाहिए . pahlē tō yah contrast buddhi mē̃ rahnā chāhiē . pahlā[adj.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.]|pahlē[adv.] tō yah[pn.sg.d.] contrast buddhi[n.f.;sg.] mē̃[postp.] rahnā[imp.pl.2hon.inf+cāhnā]|rahnā[.oblig3] . (x|firstly) then this contrast intellect in (remain[imp.pl.2hon.inf+cāhnā]|remain[.oblig3]) .

33First of all you should have this contrast in your intellect.

34मनुष्य समझते हैं - यह दुःख-सुख सब परम्परा से चला आया है . manuṣhya samajhtē haĩ - yah duḥkh-sukh sab paramparā sē chalā āyā hai . manuṣhya[n.m.;sg.,d.] samajhnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] - yah[pn.sg.d.] sukh-duḥkh[n.m.;sg.,d.] sab[adj.] paramparā[n.f.;sg.] sē[postp.] chalā ānā[pres-perf.sg.m.23] . human being understand[pres.pl.m.12hon3] - this happiness and sorrow all from time immemorial from x .

34People think that happiness and sorrow have continued from the beginning of time.

35परन्तु परम्परा से जो चला आया है वह पुरानी दुनिया की चाल चली आई है . parantu paramparā sē jō chalā āyā hai vah purānī duniyā kī|key chāl chalī āī hai . parantu[conj.] paramparā[n.f.;sg.] sē[postp.] jō[pn.;d.] chalā ānā[pres-perf.sg.m.23] vah[pn.sg.d.] purānā[adj.ā=>ī;f.] duniyā[n.f.;sg.] karnā[past-part.f.]|kā[postp.ā=>ī;f.]|key chālnā[past-part.f..root+calnā] ānā[pres-perf.sg.f.23] . however from time immemorial from that x that old world (do[past-part.f.]|of|key) move[past-part.f..root+calnā] come[pres-perf.sg.f.23] .

35But whatever has continued from the beginning of time would still be continuing in the old world.

36नई दुनिया की तो चाल ही निराली है . naī duniyā kī|key tō chāl hī nirālī hai . nayā[adj.ā=>ī;f.] duniyā[n.f.;sg.] karnā[past-part.f.]|kā[postp.ā=>ī;f.]|key tō chālnā[root]|chāl[n.f.;sg.] hī[p.] nirālā[adj.ā=>ī;f.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] . new world (do[past-part.f.]|of|key) then (move[root]|x) only x be[pres.sg.23] .

36The way everything functions in the new world is totally unique.

37बाप कहते हैं - " इस दुनिया में जो कुछ करते आये हो , उनका फल भी यहाँ ही पाया है . bāp kahtē haĩ - " is duniyā mē̃ jō kuchh kartē āyē hō , unkā phal bhī yahā̃ hī pāyā hai . bāp kahtē haĩ[x] - " yah[pn.sg.o.] duniyā[n.f.;sg.] mē̃[postp.] jō kuchh[x] karnā[pres-perf.pl.m.2.pres-part+ānā] , vah[pn.pl.kā] phal[n.m.;sg.,d.] bhī[p.] yahā̃ hī[p.] pānā[pres-perf.sg.m.23] . the Father says - " this world in whatever do[pres-perf.pl.m.2.pres-part+ānā] , that[.kā] fruit too here only x[pres-perf.sg.m.23] .

37Baba says: You have received the reward here for whatever you have been doing in this old world.

38इस दुनिया की पवित्रता तमोगुणी है . is duniyā kī|key pavitratā tamōguṇī hai . yah[pn.sg.o.] duniyā[n.f.;sg.] karnā[past-part.f.]|kā[postp.ā=>ī;f.]|key pavitratā[n.f.;sg.] tamoguṇī[adj.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] . this world (do[past-part.f.]|of|key) purity x be[pres.sg.23] .

38The purity of this world is tamoguni.

39मैं तुमको सतोप्रधान पवित्रता सिखलाता हूँ . maĩ tumkō satōpradhān pavitratā sikhlātā hū̃ . maĩ[pn.sg.d.] tum[pn.pl.kō] satōpradhān[adj.] pavitratā[n.f.;sg.] sikhlānā[pres.sg.m.1] .
