11So, what is the method to remain cheerful?

13ज्ञान का सिमरण करना . gyān kā simraṇ karnā . gyān[n.m.;sg.,d.] kā[postp.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] simraṇ[n.f.;sg.] karnā[inf.m.sg.d.] . knowledge of remembrance do[inf.m.sg.d.] .

12To churn knowledge.

14जो जितना ज्ञान को सिमरण करते हैं वह उतना ही हर्षित रहते हैं . jō jitnā gyān kō simraṇ kartē haĩ vah utnā hī harṣhit rahtē haĩ . jō[pn.;d.] jitnā[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] gyān[n.m.;sg.,d.] kō[postp.] simraṇ[n.f.;sg.] karnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] vah[pn.sg.d.] utnā[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] hī[p.] harṣhit[adj.] rahnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] . that the more knowledge to remembrance do[pres.pl.m.12hon3] that x only cheerful remain[pres.pl.m.12hon3] .

13To the extent that you churn knowledge, you accordingly remain cheerful.

15ज्ञान का सिमरण ना चलने का कारण क्या है  ? gyān kā simraṇ nā chalnē kā kāraṇ kyā hai  ? gyān[n.m.;sg.,d.] kā[postp.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] simraṇ[n.f.;sg.] nā chalnā[inf.m.pl.,o.] kā[postp.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] kāraṇ[n.m.;sg.,d.] kyā hōnā[pres.sg.23]  ? knowledge of remembrance ∅ continue[inf.m.pl.,o.] of because what be[pres.sg.23]  ?

14What is the reason for not churning knowledge?

16व्यर्थ सिमरण में चले जाते हो . vyarth simraṇ mē̃ chalē jātē hō . vyarth[n.m.;sg.,d.] simraṇ[n.f.;sg.] mē̃[postp.] chalnā[pres.pl.m.2.past-part+jānā]|chalnā[pres.pl.m.2.passive] . wasteful remembrance in (continue[pres.pl.m.2.past-part+jānā]|continue[pres.pl.m.2.passive]) .

15You engage yourself in churning waste.

17व्यर्थ सिमरण होता है तो ज्ञान का सिमरण नहीं होता . vyarth simraṇ hōtā hai tō gyān kā simraṇ nahī̃ hōtā . vyarth[n.m.;sg.,d.] simraṇ[n.f.;sg.] hōnā[pres.sg.m.23] tō gyān[n.m.;sg.,d.] kā[postp.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] simraṇ[n.f.;sg.] nahī̃[neg] hōnā[pres-part.m.sg.d.] . wasteful remembrance be[pres.sg.m.23] then knowledge of remembrance not be[pres-part.m.sg.d.] .

16When there is wasteful churning, there cannot be the churning of knowledge.

18अगर बुद्धि सदा ज्ञान के सिमरण में तत्पर रखो तो सदा हर्षितरहेंगे , व्यर्थ सिमरण होगा ही नहीं . agar buddhi sadā gyān kē|K simraṇ mē̃ tatpar rakhō tō sadā harṣitarahēṅgē , vyarth simraṇ hōgā hī nahī̃ . agar buddhi[n.f.;sg.] sadā gyān[n.m.;sg.,d.] kā[postp.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.]|K simraṇ[n.f.;sg.] mē̃[postp.] tatpar[adj.] rakhnā[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2] tō sadā x , vyarth[n.m.;sg.,d.] simraṇ[n.f.;sg.] hōnā[fut.m.sg.23] hī[p.] nahī̃[neg] . if intellect constantly knowledge (of|K) remembrance in x keep[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2] then constantly x , wasteful remembrance be[fut.m.sg.23] only not .

17If you keep your intellect constantly engaged in the churning of knowledge, you will remain constantly cheerful, and there will not be any wasteful churning.

19ज्ञान सिमरण करने के लिए , सदैव हर्षितरहने के लिए खज़ाना तो बहुत मिला हुआ है . gyān simraṇ karnē kē liē , sadaiv harṣitarahanē kē liē khazānā tō bahut milā huā hai . gyān[n.m.;sg.,d.] simraṇ[n.f.;sg.] karnā[inf.m.pl.,o.] kē liē[x] , sadā x kē liē[x] khajānā[n.m.ā=>ā;sg.d.] tō bahut milānā[root]|milnā[past-part.m.sg.d.] hōnā[pres-perf.sg.m.23] . knowledge remembrance do[inf.m.pl.,o.] for , constantly x for treasure then very (x[root]|receive[past-part.m.sg.d.]) be[pres-perf.sg.m.23] .

18In order to churn knowledge and constantly remain cheerful, you have received many treasures.

20जैसे आजकल कोई बहुत धनवान होते हैं - तो कहते हैं इनके पास तो अनगिनत धन है . jaisē ājkal kōī bahut dhanvān hōtē haĩ - tō kahtē haĩ inkē pās|pass tō anginat dhan hai . jaisā[adj.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] ājkal kōī[pn.;d.] bahut dhanvān[adj.] hōnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] - tō kahnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] yah[pn.pl.kē] pās|pass tō anginat[x] dhan[n.m.;sg.,d.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] . like nowadays some very x be[pres.pl.m.12hon3] - then say[pres.pl.m.12hon3] this[.kē] (x|pass) then countless wealth be[pres.sg.23] .

19Nowadays, when someone is very wealthy it is said that “that one has countless wealth”.

21ऐसे ही ज्ञान का खज़ाना जो मिला है वह गिनती कर सकते हो  ? aisē hī gyān kā khazānā jō milā hai vah gintī kar saktē hō  ? aisā[adj.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] hī[p.] gyān[n.m.;sg.,d.] kā[postp.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] khajānā[n.m.ā=>ā;sg.d.] jō[pn.;d.] milnā[pres-perf.sg.m.23] vah[pn.sg.d.] ginnā[pres-part.f.]|gintī[x] karnā[pres.pl.m.2.root+saknā]  ? such only knowledge of treasure that receive[pres-perf.sg.m.23] that (x[pres-part.f.]|x) do[pres.pl.m.2.root+saknā]  ?

20In the same way, are you able to count the treasures of knowledge that you have received?

22इतना अनगिनत होते हुए फिर छोड़ क्यों देते हो  ? itnā anginat hōtē huē phir chhōṛ kyō̃ dētē hō  ? itnā[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] anginat[x] hōnā[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] hōnā[past-part.m.pl.,o.] phirnā[root]|phir[adv.] chhōṛnā[root] kyō̃ dēnā[pres.pl.m.2]  ? such countless be[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] be[past-part.m.pl.,o.] (turn[root]|then) renounce[root] why give[pres.pl.m.2]  ?

21Since it is countless, then why do you let go of it?

23कोई कमी के कारण ही उस चीज़ का न होना सम्भव होता है . kōī kamī kē|K kāraṇ hī us chīz kā na hōnā sambhav hōtā hai . kōī[pn.;d.] kamī[n.f.ī=>ī;sg.] kā[postp.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.]|K kāraṇ[n.m.;sg.,d.] hī[p.] vah[pn.sg.o.] chīz[n.f.;sg.] kā[postp.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] na[neg] hōnā[inf.m.sg.d.] sambhav[adj.] hōnā[pres.sg.m.23] . some x (of|K) because only that thing of not be[inf.m.sg.d.] x be[pres.sg.m.23] .

22It is only when you think that you lack something that it seems that you do not have that thing.

24लेकिन कमी न होते भी चीज़ न हो , यह तो नहीं होना चाहिए ना . lēkin kamī na hōtē bhī chīz na hō , yah tō nahī̃ hōnā chāhiē nā . lēkin kamī[n.f.ī=>ī;sg.] na[neg] hōnā[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] bhī[p.] chīz[n.f.;sg.] na[neg] hōnā[root]|hōnā[pres.pl.2] , yah[pn.sg.d.] tō nahī̃[neg] hōnā[imp.pl.2hon.inf+cāhnā]|hōnā[.oblig3] nā . but x not be[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] too thing not (be[root]|be[pres.pl.2]) , this then not (be[imp.pl.2hon.inf+cāhnā]|be[.oblig3]) ∅ .

23However, if you do not lack anything, then it cannot be that you do not have that thing.

25ज्ञान के खज़ाने से वह बातें ज्यादा अच्छी लगती हैं क्या  ? gyān kē|K khazānē sē vah bātē̃ jyādā achchhī lagtī haĩ kyā  ? gyān[n.m.;sg.,d.] kā[postp.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.]|K khajānā[n.m.ā=>ē;sg.o.,m.pl.d.] sē[postp.] vah[pn.sg.d.] bāt[n.f.+ē̃;pl.d.] jyādā[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] achchhā[adj.ā=>ī;f.] lagnā[pres.pl.f.12hon3] kyā  ? knowledge (of|K) treasure from that matter more achcha x[pres.pl.f.12hon3] what  ?

24Do you prefer those other things more than the treasures of knowledge?

26जैसे समझते हो कि यह बहुत समय की आदत पड़ी हुई है , इसलिए ना चाहते भी आ जाता है . jaisē samajhtē hō ki yah bahut samay kī|key ādat paṛī huī hai , isliē nā chāhtē bhī ā jātā hai . jaisā[adj.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] samajhnā[pres.pl.m.2] ki[conj.] yah[pn.sg.d.] bahut samay[n.m.;sg.,d.] karnā[past-part.f.]|kā[postp.ā=>ī;f.]|key ādat[n.f.;sg.] paṛnā[past-part.f.] hōnā[pres-perf.sg.f.23] , isliē nā chāhnā[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] bhī[p.] ānā[pres.sg.m.23.root+jānā] . like understand[pres.pl.m.2] that this very time (do[past-part.f.]|of|key) habit fall[past-part.f.] be[pres-perf.sg.f.23] , therefore ∅ x[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] too come[pres.sg.m.23.root+jānā] .

25Is it because you have developed that habit over a long period of time, that it happens even against your conscious wish?

27तो अब ज्ञान का सिमरण करते हुए कितना समय हुआ है  ? tō ab gyān kā simraṇ kartē huē kitnā samay huā hai  ? tō ab[adv.] gyān[n.m.;sg.,d.] kā[postp.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] simraṇ[n.f.;sg.] karnā[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] hōnā[past-part.m.pl.,o.] kitnā[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] samay[n.m.;sg.,d.] hōnā[pres-perf.sg.m.23]  ? then now knowledge of remembrance do[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] be[past-part.m.pl.,o.] so time be[pres-perf.sg.m.23]  ?

26So, how long is it since you started churning knowledge?

28संगम का एक वर्ष भी कितने के बराबर है  ? saṅgam kā ēk varṣh bhī kitnē kē|K barābar hai  ? saṅgam[n.m.;sg.,d.] kā[postp.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] ēk[adj.] varṣh[n.m.;sg.,d.] bhī[p.] kitnā[adj.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] kā[postp.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.]|K barōbar hōnā[pres.sg.23]  ? confluence of one year too so (of|K) x be[pres.sg.23]  ?

29संगम का एक वर्ष भी बहुत बड़ा है  ! saṅgam kā ēk varṣh bhī bahut baṛā hai  ! saṅgam[n.m.;sg.,d.] kā[postp.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] ēk[adj.] varṣh[n.m.;sg.,d.] bhī[p.] bahut baṛā[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] hōnā[pres.sg.23]  ! confluence of one year too very very be[pres.sg.23]  !

28Even one year of the Confluence Age is very long.

30इसी हिसाब से देखो तो यह भी बहुत समय की बात हुई ना . isī hisāb sē dēkhō tō yah bhī bahut samay kī|key bāt huī nā . yah[pn.sg.hī] hisāb[n.m.;sg.,d.] sē[postp.] dēkhnā[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2] tō yah[pn.sg.d.] bhī[p.] bahut samay[n.m.;sg.,d.] karnā[past-part.f.]|kā[postp.ā=>ī;f.]|key bāt[n.f.;sg.] hōnā[past-part.f.] nā . this[.hī] account from see[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2] then this too very time (do[past-part.f.]|of|key) matter be[past-part.f.] ∅ .

29If you look at it in this way, then this is something that you have been doing over a long period of time, is it not?

31तो जैसे वह बहुत समय के संस्कार होने के कारण ना चाहते भी स्मृति में आ जाते हैं , तो यह भी बहुत समय की स्मृति नेचरल क्यों नहीं रहती  ? tō jaisē vah bahut samay kē|K saṅskār hōnē kē|K kāraṇ nā chāhtē bhī smr̥iti mē̃ ā jātē haĩ , tō yah bhī bahut samay kī|key smr̥iti natural kyō̃ nahī̃ rahtī  ? tō jaisā[adj.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] vah[pn.sg.d.] bahut samay[n.m.;sg.,d.] kā[postp.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.]|K saṅskār[x] hōnā[inf.m.pl.,o.] kā[postp.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.]|K kāraṇ[n.m.;sg.,d.] nā chāhnā[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] bhī[p.] smr̥iti[n.f.;sg.] mē̃[postp.] ānā[pres.pl.m.12hon3.root+jānā] , tō yah[pn.sg.d.] bhī[p.] bahut samay[n.m.;sg.,d.] karnā[past-part.f.]|kā[postp.ā=>ī;f.]|key smr̥iti[n.f.;sg.] natural kyō̃ nahī̃[neg] rahnā[pres-part.f.]  ? then like that very time (of|K) sanskar be[inf.m.pl.,o.] (of|K) because ∅ x[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] too awareness in come[pres.pl.m.12hon3.root+jānā] , then this too very time (do[past-part.f.]|of|key) awareness natural why not remain[pres-part.f.]  ?

30So, as that is a sanskar over a long period of time, and you remember it against your conscious wish, then why does this awareness of a long period of time not remain naturally in the same way?

32जो नई बात वा ताजी बात होती है वह तो और ही ज्यादा स्मृति में रहनी चाहिए , क्योंकि प्रेजेन्ट है ना . jō naī bāt vā tājī bāt hōtī hai vah tō aur hī jyādā smr̥iti mē̃ rahnī chāhiē , kyōṅki present hai nā . jō[pn.;d.] nayā[adj.ā=>ī;f.] bāt[n.f.;sg.] vā tājā[adj.ā=>ī;f.] bāt[n.f.;sg.] hōnā[pres.sg.f.23] vah[pn.sg.d.] tō aur hī[p.] jyādā[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] smr̥iti[n.f.;sg.] mē̃[postp.] rahnā[.oblig3] , kyōṅki present hōnā[pres.sg.23] nā . that new matter or hot matter be[pres.sg.f.23] that then and only more awareness in remain[.oblig3] , because present be[pres.sg.23] ∅ .

80अभी बेहद के घर में बेहद का नशा है , फिर हद के घर में जाने से हद का नशा हो जायेगा . abhī bēhad kē|K ghar mē̃ bēhad kā naśhā hai , phir had kē|K ghar mē̃ jānē sē had kā naśhā hō jāyēgā . ab[adv.hī] bēhad[adj.] kā[postp.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.]|K ghar[n.m.;sg.,d.] mē̃[postp.] bēhad kā[x] naśhā[n.m.ā=>ā;sg.d.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] , phirnā[root]|phir[adv.] had[n.f.;sg.] kā[postp.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.]|K ghar[n.m.;sg.,d.] mē̃[postp.] jānā[inf.m.pl.,o.]|jānnā[past-part.m.pl.,o.]|jānnā[opt.sg.23] sē[postp.] had[n.f.;sg.] kā[postp.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] naśhā[n.m.ā=>ā;sg.d.] hōnā[fut.m.sg.23.root+jānā] . now unlimited (of|K) home in unlimited intoxication be[pres.sg.23] , (turn[root]|then) x (of|K) home in (go[inf.m.pl.,o.]|know[past-part.m.pl.,o.]|know[opt.sg.23]) from x of intoxication be[fut.m.sg.23.root+jānā] . 81अभी उमंग-उल्लास जो है वह हद में तो नहीं आ जायेगा  ? abhī umaṅg-ullās jō hai vah had mē̃ tō nahī̃ ā jāyēgā  ? ab[adv.hī] umaṅg-ullās[n.m.;sg.,d.] jō[pn.;d.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] vah[pn.sg.d.] had[n.f.;sg.] mē̃[postp.] tō nahī̃[neg] ānā[fut.m.sg.23.root+jānā]  ? now zeal and enthusiasm that be[pres.sg.23] that x in then not come[fut.m.sg.23.root+jānā]  ?

78Later, you will not go in front of them, will you? 79In that case you would go back and say: “What can we do?” At the present - because of being in the unlimited home - you have unlimited intoxication.

82जैसे अभी बेहद का उमंग वा उल्लास है , उसमें कुछ अन्तर तो नहीं आ जायेगा ना . jaisē abhī bēhad kā umaṅg vā ullās hai , usmē̃ kuchh antar tō nahī̃ ā jāyēgā nā . jaisā[adj.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] ab[adv.hī] bēhad kā[x] umaṅg[n.f.;sg.] vā ullās[n.m.;sg.,d.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] , vah[pn.sg.mē̃] kuchh antar[n.m.;sg.,d.] tō nahī̃[neg] ānā[fut.m.sg.23.root+jānā] nā . like now unlimited zeal or enthusiasm be[pres.sg.23] , that[.mē̃] anything difference then not come[fut.m.sg.23.root+jānā] ∅ .

80However, afterwards - when you go into the limited home - will you have limited intoxication? 81The zeal you have now will not become limited afterwards, will it?
