1सबसे सूक्ष्म बन्धन - बुद्धि का अभिमानsabsē sūkṣhma bandhan - buddhi kā abhimānsabsē sūkṣhma[adj.] bandhan[n.m.;sg.,d.] - buddhi[n.f.;sg.] kā[postp.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] abhimān[n.m.;sg.,d.]the most subtle bondage - intellect of arrogance
1The most subtle bondage is arrogance of the intellect.
2योगयुक्त और बन्धनमुक्त बने हो ? yōgyukt aur bandhanmukt banē hō ? yōgyukt[x] aur bandhanmukt[adj.] bannā[pres-perf.pl.m.2] ? yogyukt and free from bondage become[pres-perf.pl.m.2] ?
2Have you become yogyukt and free from bondages?
3जितना-जितना योगयुक्त उतना ही सर्व-बन्धन मुक्त बनते जाते हैं . jitnā-jitnā yōgyukt utnā hī sarv-bandhan mukt bantē jātē haĩ . jitnā[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] yōgyukt[x] utnā[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] hī[p.] x mukt[adj.] bannā[pres.pl.m.12hon3.pres-part+jānā] . the more yogyukt x only x free become[pres.pl.m.12hon3.pres-part+jānā] .
3To the extent that you become yogyukt, accordingly you become free from all bondages.
4तो योगयुक्त की निशानी है ही बन्धनमुक्त होना . tō yōgyukt kī|key niśhānī hai hī bandhanmukt hōnā . tō yōgyukt[x] karnā[past-part.f.]|kā[postp.ā=>ī;f.]|key niśhānī[n.f.ī=>ī;sg.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] hī[p.] bandhanmukt[adj.] hōnā[inf.m.sg.d.] . then yogyukt (do[past-part.f.]|of|key) sign be[pres.sg.23] only free from bondage be[inf.m.sg.d.] .
4So the sign of being yogyukt is to be free from bondages.
5अपने सर्व बन्धनों को जानते हो ना , कि किस-किस प्रकार के बन्धन हैं जो योगयुक्त होने में रुकावट डालते हैं ? apnē sarv bandhanō̃ kō jāntē hō nā , ki kis-kis prakār kē|K bandhan haĩ jō yōgyukt hōnē mē̃ rukāvaṭ ḍāltē haĩ ? apnā[pn.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] sarv[adj.] bandhan[n.m.+ō̃;pl.o.] kō[postp.] jānnā[pres.pl.m.2] nā , ki[conj.] kaun[pn.sg.o.]|kyā[pn.sg.o.] prakār[n.m.;sg.,d.] kā[postp.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.]|K bandhan[n.m.;sg.,d.] hōnā[pres.pl.12hon3] jō[pn.;d.] yōgyukt[x] hōnā[inf.m.pl.,o.] mē̃[postp.] rūkāvaṭ[n.f.;sg.] ḍālnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] ? one’s own all bondage to know[pres.pl.m.2] ∅ , that (who|what) form (of|K) bondage be[pres.pl.12hon3] that yogyukt be[inf.m.pl.,o.] in obstruction create[pres.pl.m.12hon3] ?
5You know all your bondages, do you not? 6Which types of bondage create obstructions to your becoming yogyukt?
6जैसे सर्व दुःखों की लिस्ट निकालते थे वैसे भिन्न-भिन्न बन्धनों की लिस्ट निकालो . jaisē sarv duḥkhō̃ kī|key list nikāltē thē vaisē bhinn-bhinn bandhanō̃ kī|key list nikālō . jaisā[adj.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] sarv[adj.] duḥkh[n.m.+ō̃;pl.o.] karnā[past-part.f.]|kā[postp.ā=>ī;f.]|key list nikālnā[hab-past.pl.m.] vaisā[adj.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] bhinn[adj.] bandhan[n.m.+ō̃;pl.o.] karnā[past-part.f.]|kā[postp.ā=>ī;f.]|key list nikālnā[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2] . like all sorrow (do[past-part.f.]|of|key) list x[hab-past.pl.m.] x different bondage (do[past-part.f.]|of|key) list x[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2] .
7Just as you used to make a list of all the different types of sorrow, in the same way, make a list of the different types of bondage.
7उस लिस्ट को सामने रखते हुए चेक करो कि कितना बन्धनों से मुक्त हुए हैं और कितने बन्धन अभी तक रहे हुए हैं . us list kō sāmnē rakhtē huē check karō ki kitnā bandhanō̃ sē mukt huē haĩ aur kitnē bandhan abhī tak rahē huē haĩ . vah[pn.sg.o.] list kō[postp.] sāmnē rakhnā[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] hōnā[past-part.m.pl.,o.] check karnā[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2] ki[conj.] kitnā[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] bandhan[n.m.+ō̃;pl.o.] sē[postp.] mukt[adj.] hōnā[pres-perf.pl.m.12hon3] aur kitnā[adj.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] bandhan[n.m.;sg.,d.] ab[adv.hī] tak rahnā[past-part.m.pl.,o.]|rahnā[opt.sg.23] hōnā[pres-perf.pl.m.12hon3] . that list to x keep[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] be[past-part.m.pl.,o.] check do[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2] that so bondage from free be[pres-perf.pl.m.12hon3] and so bondage now until (remain[past-part.m.pl.,o.]|remain[opt.sg.23]) be[pres-perf.pl.m.12hon3] .
8Keep that list in front of you and check which bondages you have become free from and which bondages still remain.
8इससे अपने सम्पूर्ण योगयुक्त अर्थात् सम्पूर्ण स्टेज को परख सकते हो कि कितना सम्पूर्ण स्टेज के नजदीक पहुंच पाये हैं . issē apnē sampūrṇ yōgyukt arthāt sampūrṇ stage kō parakh saktē hō ki kitnā sampūrṇ stage kē|K najdīk pahuñch pāyē haĩ . yah[pn.sg.sē] apnā[pn.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] sampūrṇ[adj.] yōgyukt[x] arthāt sampūrṇ[adj.] stage kō[postp.] parakhnā[pres.pl.m.2.root+saknā] ki[conj.] kitnā[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] sampūrṇ[adj.] stage kā[postp.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.]|K nazdīk pahuñchnā[pres-perf.pl.m.12hon3.root+pānā] . this[.sē] one’s own complete yogyukt that is complete stage to x[pres.pl.m.2.root+saknā] that so complete stage (of|K) x reach[pres-perf.pl.m.12hon3.root+pānā] .
9From this you will be able to recognise your completely yogyukt stage, that is, your complete stage; how close you have come to your perfect stage.
9बन्धनों की लिस्ट सामने लाओ , कितने प्रकार के बन्धन होंगे ? bandhanō̃ kī|key list sāmnē lāō , kitnē prakār kē|K bandhan hōṅgē ? bandhan[n.m.+ō̃;pl.o.] karnā[past-part.f.]|kā[postp.ā=>ī;f.]|key list sāmnē lānā[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2] , kitnā[adj.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] prakār[n.m.;sg.,d.] kā[postp.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.]|K bandhan[n.m.;sg.,d.] hōnā[fut.m.pl.12hon3] ? bondage (do[past-part.f.]|of|key) list x x[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2] , so form (of|K) bondage be[fut.m.pl.12hon3] ?
10Bring the list of bondages in front of you. 11How many types of bondage are there?
10इनकी लिस्ट निकलेगी तो जाल माफिक दिखाई देगी . inkī list nikalēgī tō jāl māphik dikhāī dēgī . yah[pn.pl.kī] list nikalnā[fut.f.sg.23] tō jāl[n.m.;sg.,d.] muāphik dikhāī dēnā[fut.f.sg.23] . this[.kī] list be extracted[fut.f.sg.23] then x x be visible .
12If you make a list of these, it will be like a web.
11कितनी महीन तारों की जाल बनाते हैं . kitnī mahīn tārō̃ kī|key jāl banātē haĩ . kitnā[adj.ā=>ī;f.] mahīn[adj.] tārā[n.m.ā=>ō̃;pl.o.] karnā[past-part.f.]|kā[postp.ā=>ī;f.]|key jāl[n.m.;sg.,d.] banānā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] . so refined x (do[past-part.f.]|of|key) x create[pres.pl.m.12hon3] .
13A web is created of such subtle threads.
12तो अब जज करो कि कितने बन्धन रह गये हैं और कौन-कौनसे रह गये हैं ? tō ab judge karō ki kitnē bandhan rah gayē haĩ aur kaun-kaunasē rah gayē haĩ ? tō ab[adv.] judge karnā[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2] ki[conj.] kitnā[adj.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] bandhan[n.m.;sg.,d.] rahnā[pres-perf.pl.m.12hon3.root+jānā] aur x rahnā[pres-perf.pl.m.12hon3.root+jānā] ? then now judge do[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2] that so bondage remain[pres-perf.pl.m.12hon3.root+jānā] and x remain[pres-perf.pl.m.12hon3.root+jānā] ?
14So, now judge how many bondages still remain and what those bondages are that remain.
13कोई बड़े-बड़े बन्धन हैं वा छोटे-छोटे बन्धन हैं ? kōī baṛē-baṛē bandhan haĩ vā chhōṭē-chhōṭē bandhan haĩ ? kōī[pn.;d.] baṛā[adj.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] bandhan[n.m.;sg.,d.] hōnā[pres.pl.12hon3] vā chhōṭā[adj.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] bandhan[n.m.;sg.,d.] hōnā[pres.pl.12hon3] ? some very bondage be[pres.pl.12hon3] or small bondage be[pres.pl.12hon3] ?
15Are they huge bondages, or are they only little bondages?
14ज्यादा मेहनत किन बन्धनों को चुक्तू करने में लगती है ? jyādā mēhnat kin bandhanō̃ kō chuktū karnē mē̃ lagtī hai ? jyādā[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] mēhnat[n.f.;sg.] kaun[pn.pl.o.]|kyā[pn.pl.o.] bandhan[n.m.+ō̃;pl.o.] kō[postp.] chuktū karnā[inf.m.pl.,o.] mē̃[postp.] lagnā[pres.sg.f.23] ? more effort (who|what) bondage to settled do[inf.m.pl.,o.] in x[pres.sg.f.23] ?
16Which bondages require greater effort to settle?
15सभी से कड़े से कड़ा बन्धन कौन सा है ? sabhī sē kaṛē sē kaṛā bandhan kaun sā hai ? sab[adv.hī] sē[postp.] kaṛā[adj.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] sē[postp.] kaṛā[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] bandhan[n.m.;sg.,d.] kaun sā[x] hōnā[pres.sg.23] ? all from severe from severe bondage which be[pres.sg.23] ?
17What is the most severe bondage of all? 18(Body consciousness.)
16 ( देह-अभिमान ) यह तो सभी बन्धनों का फाउण्डेशन है . ( dēh-abhimān ) yah tō sabhī bandhanō̃ kā foundation hai . ( dēh-abhimān[n.f.;sg.] ) yah[pn.sg.d.] tō sab[adv.hī] bandhan[n.m.+ō̃;pl.o.] kā[postp.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] foundation hōnā[pres.sg.23] . ( body consciousness ) this then all bondage of foundation be[pres.sg.23] . 17लेकिन प्रत्यक्ष रूप में सभी से कड़ा बन्धन कौन सा है ? lēkin pratyakṣha rūp mē̃ sabhī sē kaṛā bandhan kaun sā hai ? lēkin pratyakṣh[adj.] rūp[n.m.;sg.,d.] mē̃[postp.] sab[adv.hī] sē[postp.] kaṛā[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] bandhan[n.m.;sg.,d.] kaun sā[x] hōnā[pres.sg.23] ? but visible Rup in all from severe bondage which be[pres.sg.23] ?
19That is the foundation of all bondages, but which bondage is the most severe in a visible way?
18लोक लाज तो बहुत छोटी बात है , यह तो फर्स्ट स्टेप है . lōk lāj tō bahut chhōṭī bāt hai , yah tō first step hai . lōk[n.m.;sg.,d.] lāz[n.f.;sg.] tō bahut chhōṭā[adj.ā=>ī;f.] bāt[n.f.;sg.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] , yah[pn.sg.d.] tō first[adj.] foot step hōnā[pres.sg.23] . x honour then very small matter be[pres.sg.23] , this then first footstep be[pres.sg.23] .
20People's opinions are a very small matter; that is just the first step.
19सभी से बड़े ते बड़ा अन्तिम बन्धन है श्रीमत के साथ अपने ज्ञान बुद्धि को मिक्स करना अर्थात् अपने को समझदार समझ कर श्रीमत को अपनी बुद्धि की कमाल समझ कर काम में लगाना . sabhī sē baṛē tē baṛā antim bandhan hai śhrīmat kē sāth apnē gyān buddhi kō mix karnā arthāt apnē kō samajhdār samajh kar śhrīmat kō apnī buddhi kī|key kamāl samajh kar kām mē̃ lagānā . sab[adv.hī] sē[postp.] baṛā[adj.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] sē baṛā[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] antim[adj.] bandhan[n.m.;sg.,d.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] śhrīmat[n.m.;sg.,d.] kē sāth[x] apnā[pn.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] gyān[n.m.;sg.,d.] buddhi[n.f.;sg.] kō[postp.] mix karnā[inf.m.sg.d.] arthāt apnā[pn.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] kō[postp.] samajhdār[adj.] samajh[n.f.;sg.]|samajhnā[root] karnā[root] śhrīmat[n.m.;sg.,d.] kō[postp.] apnā[pn.ā=>ī;f.] buddhi[n.f.;sg.] karnā[past-part.f.]|kā[postp.ā=>ī;f.]|key kamāl[n.m.;sg.,d.] samajh[n.f.;sg.]|samajhnā[root] karnā[root] kām[n.m.;sg.,d.]|kām[n.m.;sg.,d.] mē̃[postp.] lagānā[inf.m.sg.d.] . all from very from very final bondage be[pres.sg.23] shrimat with one’s own knowledge intellect to x do[inf.m.sg.d.] that is one’s own to sensible (understanding|understand[root]) do[root] shrimat to one’s own intellect (do[past-part.f.]|of|key) x (understanding|understand[root]) do[root] (lust|task) in attach[inf.m.sg.d.] .
21However, the greatest bondage, the final bondage, is that of mixing your knowledgeable intellect with shrimat, that is, to consider yourself to be sensible and to consider shrimat to be the wonder of your own intellect and then to use it for a task.
20जिसको कहेंगे ज्ञान-अभिमान अर्थात् बुद्धि का अभिमान . jiskō kahē̃gē jñān-abhimān arthāt buddhi kā abhimān . jō[pn.sg.kō] kahnā[fut.m.pl.12hon3] x arthāt buddhi[n.f.;sg.] kā[postp.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] abhimān[n.m.;sg.,d.] . that[.kō] say[fut.m.pl.12hon3] x that is intellect of arrogance .

25Whether someone gives you a signal about your weakness with sweet words, or someone says something bad about your sanskars or nature or service, then, whilst keeping both these things in front of yourself, check if there is the slightest difference in your attitude or in your vision or on your face. 26There should not be the slightest difference.

30It is remembered that you have to maintain equanimity in praise and defamation, victory and defeat. 31That is, although you have the knowledge in your intellect of which is victory and which is defeat, of which is praise and which is defamation, your constant stage should not fluctuate. 32This is known as equanimity.

45To transform a situation or problem and become transparent, that is, to have mercy for those who defame you. 46Just as someone can become your friend because of having the same type of sanskars, in the same way, even if someone defames you, you have to be able to see those who defame you with that same vision of love and co-operation.
42संस्कारों के समानता वाली सखी और ग्लानि करने वाली - दोनों के लिए अन्दर स्नेह और सहयोग में अन्तर न हो . saṅskārō̃ kē|K samāntā vālī sakhī aur glāni karnē vālī - dōnō̃ kē liē andar snēh aur sahyōg mē̃ antar na hō . saṅskār[x] kā[postp.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.]|K samāntā[n.f.;sg.] vālā[adj.ā=>ī;f.] sakhā[n.f.ī=>ī;sg.] aur glāni[n.f.;sg.] karnā[inf.m.pl.,o.] vālā[adj.ā=>ī;f.] - dōnō̃ kē liē[x] andar snēh[n.m.;sg.,d.] aur sahyōg[n.m.;sg.,d.] mē̃[postp.] antar[n.m.;sg.,d.] na[neg] hōnā[root]|hōnā[pres.pl.2] . sanskar (of|K) equality those who friend and defamation do[inf.m.pl.,o.] those who - x for inside love and cooperation in difference not (be[root]|be[pres.pl.2]) .
47Internally, there should not be any difference in your love and co-operation for both: those whose sanskars are the same as yours and also those who defame you.
