4The Father of souls gives us the mirror to be able to see how a pure, charitable soul has become a sinful soul.

5These five vices make you commit sin and it is the task of the Supreme Soul alone to liberate you from that and to make you into a pure, charitable soul.

6So it is the soul that becomes sinful and the soul that becomes charitable.
6ऐसे नहीं कि आत्मा निर्लेप है . aisē nahī̃ ki ātmā nirlēp hai . aisē nahī̃[x] ki[conj.] ātmā[n.f.;sg.] nirlēp[adj.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] . it isn't that that soul immune to the effect of action be[pres.sg.23] .
7It isn't that the soul is immune to the effect of its actions.
7यह तो जो खाने पीने वाले हैं उन्होंने अपना रास्ता खोला है कि शरीर ही सब कुछ करता है . yah tō jō khānē pīnē vālē haĩ unhōnnē apnā rāstā khōlā hai ki śharīr hī sab kuchh kartā hai . yah[pn.sg.d.] tō jō[pn.;d.] khānā[n.m.ā=>ē;sg.o.,m.pl.d.]|khānā[inf.m.pl.,o.] pīnā[inf.m.pl.,o.] vālā[adj.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] hōnā[pres.pl.12hon3] vah[pn.pl.nē] apnānā[root]|apnā[pn.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] rāstā[n.m.ā=>ā;sg.d.] khōlnā[pres-perf.sg.m.23] ki[conj.] śharīr[n.m.;sg.,d.] hī[p.] sab kuchh[x] karnā[pres.sg.m.23] . this then that (eat[n.m.ā=>ē;sg.o.,m.pl.d.]|eat[inf.m.pl.,o.]) drink[inf.m.pl.,o.] those who be[pres.pl.12hon3] that[.nē] (adopt[root]|one’s own) path open[pres-perf.sg.m.23] that body only everything do[pres.sg.m.23] .
8Those who indulge in sensual pleasures have created their own theory that it is the body that does everything.
8अगर ऐसा होता तो जब आत्मा चली जाती है फिर शरीर कुछ कर्मभोग भोगे . agar aisā hōtā tō jab ātmā chalī jātī hai phir śharīr kuchh karmabhōg bhōgē . agar aisā[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] hōnā[pres-part.m.sg.d.] tō jab ātmā[n.f.;sg.] chalnā[pres.sg.f.23.past-part+jānā]|chalnā[pres.sg.f.23.passive] phirnā[root]|phir[adv.] śharīr[n.m.;sg.,d.] kuchh karmbhōg[n.m.;sg.,d.] bhōgnā[past-part.m.pl.,o.]|bhōgnā[opt.sg.23] . if such be[pres-part.m.sg.d.] then when soul (continue[pres.sg.f.23.past-part+jānā]|continue[pres.sg.f.23.passive]) (turn[root]|then) body anything suffering of karma (experience[past-part.m.pl.,o.]|experience[opt.sg.23]) . 9नहीं . nahī̃ . nahī̃[neg] . not .

10The soul contains both good and bad sanskars, and so it is the soul that experiences through the body.
11इसलिए आत्मा परमात्मा एक नहीं कहेंगे अगर आत्मा परमात्मा एक कहें तो परमात्मा ही पुण्यात्मा और पापात्मा हो गया . isliē ātmā paramātmā ēk nahī̃ kahē̃gē agar ātmā paramātmā ēk kahē̃ tō paramātmā hī puṇyātmā aur pāpātmā hō gayā . isliē ātmā[n.f.;sg.] paramātmā[n.m.;sg.,d.] ēk[adj.] nahī̃[neg] kahnā[fut.m.pl.12hon3] agar ātmā[n.f.;sg.] paramātmā[n.m.;sg.,d.] ēk[adj.] kahnā[opt.pl.12hon3] tō paramātmā[n.m.;sg.,d.] hī[p.] puṇyātmā[adj.] aur pāp ātmā[n.m.;sg.,d.] hōnā[past-part.m.sg.d..root+jānā] . therefore soul Supreme Soul one not say[fut.m.pl.12hon3] if soul Supreme Soul one say[opt.pl.12hon3] then Supreme Soul only charitable soul and sinful soul be[past-part.m.sg.d..root+jānā] .
11This is why you would not say that the soul and the Supreme Soul are one. 12If the soul and the Supreme Soul were one, then the Supreme Soul would also become sinful and charitable.
12परन्तु परमात्मा तो पाप , पुण्य से न्यारा है . parantu paramātmā tō pāp , puṇya sē nyārā hai . parantu[conj.] paramātmā[n.m.;sg.,d.] tō pāp[n.m.;sg.,d.] , puṇya[n.m.;sg.,d.] sē[postp.] nyārā[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] . however Supreme Soul then x , charity from unique be[pres.sg.23] .
13But the Supreme Soul is beyond sin and charity.
13आत्मा ही पुण्यात्मा , धर्मात्मा बनती है . ātmā hī puṇyātmā , dharmātmā bantī hai . ātmā[n.f.;sg.] hī[p.] puṇyātmā[adj.] , dharm-ātmā[adj.] bannā[pres.sg.f.23] . soul only charitable soul , x become[pres.sg.f.23] .
14It is the soul that becomes a righteous and charitable soul.
14कई समझते हैं जो वेद शास्त्र पढ़ा हुआ है वो धर्मात्मा है परन्तु धर्मात्मा बनना तो बड़ी स्टेज है . kaī samajhtē haĩ jō vēd śhāstra paṛhā huā hai vō dharmātmā hai parantu dharmātmā bannā tō baṛī stage hai . kaī samajhnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] jō[pn.;d.] vēd[n.m.;sg.,d.] śhāstra[n.m.;sg.,d.] paṛhnā[past-part.m.sg.d.]|paṛhānā[root] hōnā[pres-perf.sg.m.23] vah[pn.;d.] dharm-ātmā[adj.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] parantu[conj.] dharm-ātmā[adj.] bannā[inf.m.sg.d.] tō baṛā[adj.ā=>ī;f.] stage hōnā[pres.sg.23] . some understand[pres.pl.m.12hon3] that Veda scripture (study[past-part.m.sg.d.]|teach[root]) be[pres-perf.sg.m.23] that x be[pres.sg.23] however x become[inf.m.sg.d.] then very stage be[pres.sg.23] .
15Many people think that those who have studied the Vedas and scriptures are righteous souls but, in fact, to become a righteous soul requires a much higher stage.

16For that you have to be completely free from the five vices.

17The dirt of the sin of many births that is on the soul has to be removed and the soul has to imbibe cleanliness for many births.
17यहाँ कोई घर छोड़ने की बात नहीं है परन्तु विकर्मों से छुटकारा करना है . yahā̃ kōī ghar chhōṛnē kī|key bāt nahī̃ hai parantu vikarmō̃ sē chhuṭkārā karnā hai . yahā̃ kōī[pn.;d.] ghar[n.m.;sg.,d.] chhōṛnā[inf.m.pl.,o.] karnā[past-part.f.]|kā[postp.ā=>ī;f.]|key bāt[n.f.;sg.] nahī̃[neg] hōnā[pres.sg.23] parantu[conj.] vikarm[n.m.+ō̃;pl.o.] sē[postp.] chhuṭkārā[n.f.;sg.] karnā[pres.sg.23.oblig1] . here some home renounce[inf.m.pl.,o.] (do[past-part.f.]|of|key) matter not be[pres.sg.23] however sin from x do[pres.sg.23.oblig1] .
18Here, there is no question of leaving your home, but you have to be liberated from your sins.

22If the stains of the five vices are removed, the soul will become beautiful.

23There is the beauty of the body but purity is the beauty of the soul.

24The souls of the deities are pure and so look how beautiful their bodies are.
24तो शरीर और रूह को हम सुन्दर बना रहे हैं . tō śharīr aur rūh kō ham sundar banā rahē haĩ . tō śharīr[n.m.;sg.,d.] aur rūh[x] kō[postp.] ham[pn.pl.] sundar[adj.] banānā[pres.pl.m.prog.12hon3] . then body and spirit to we x create[pres.pl.m.prog.12hon3] .
25So we are now making the soul and the body beautiful.
25जिसका मदार सारी दिनचर्या पर है . jiskā madār sārī dincharyā par hai . jō[pn.sg.kā] madār[n.m.;sg.,d.] sārā[adj.ā=>ī;f.] dincharyā[n.f.;sg.] par[postp.]|par[adj.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] . that[.kā] dependence the whole timetable (at|other) be[pres.sg.23] .
26The basis for this is the whole day's timetable.

27The benefit of good actions is ten-fold and so the punishment for bad actions is also ten-fold.
27तो सारे दिन की दिनचर्या में अपने मन-वचन-कर्म को देखना है . tō sārē din kī|key dincharyā mē̃ apnē man-vachan-karma kō dēkhnā hai . tō sārā[adj.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] din[n.m.;sg.,d.] karnā[past-part.f.]|kā[postp.ā=>ī;f.]|key dincharyā[n.f.;sg.] mē̃[postp.] apnā[pn.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] man-vachan-karm[n.m.;sg.,d.] kō[postp.] dēkhnā[pres.sg.23.oblig1] . then the whole day (do[past-part.f.]|of|key) timetable in one’s own thoughts, words and deeds to see[pres.sg.23.oblig1] .
28Therefore check your thoughts, words and actions throughout the whole day.
28अपने ऊपर ध्यान रखना है कि हमारे में कोई विकार तो नहीं है ? apnē ūpar dhyān rakhnā hai ki hamārē mē̃ kōī vikār tō nahī̃ hai ? apnā[pn.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] ūpar dhyān[n.m.;sg.,d.] rakhnā[pres.sg.23.oblig1] ki[conj.] ham[pn.pl.kē] mē̃[postp.] kōī[pn.;d.] vikār[n.m.;sg.,d.] tō nahī̃[neg] hōnā[pres.sg.23] ? one’s own over attention keep[pres.sg.23.oblig1] that we[.kē] in some vice then not be[pres.sg.23] ?
29Pay attention to yourself that there are no vices in you.
