3हम जो सुनते अथवा सुनाते हैं - यह कोई अपनी मनुष्य-मत वा शास्त्र-मत नहीं है . ham jō suntē athavā sunātē haĩ - yah kōī apnī manuṣhya-mat vā śhāstra-mat nahī̃ hai . ham[pn.pl.] jō[pn.;d.] sunnā[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] athavā sunānā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] - yah[pn.sg.d.] kōī[pn.;d.] apnā[pn.ā=>ī;f.] manuṣhya-mat[n.f.;sg.] vā śhāstra-mat[n.f.;sg.] nahī̃[neg] hōnā[pres.sg.23] . we that listen[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] that is speak[pres.pl.m.12hon3] - this some one’s own directions of human beings or directions of the scriptures not be[pres.sg.23] .
3We listen and we relate. 4These are not the directions of human beings or the directions of the scriptures.
4शास्त्र-मत भी मनुष्य-मत ही है . śhāstra-mat bhī manuṣhya-mat hī hai . śhāstra-mat[n.f.;sg.] bhī[p.] manuṣhya-mat[n.f.;sg.] hī[p.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] . directions of the scriptures too directions of human beings only be[pres.sg.23] .

9God Himself is now relating those original versions, carrying out that task and creating that heaven.

10God has not created any scriptures.

13The Gita is not written by God.

15There is no need for any scriptures there.
16बाकी हम जो सुनते हैं , यह है परमपिता परमात्मा की श्रीमत . bākī ham jō suntē haĩ , yah hai parampitā paramātmā kī|key śhrīmat . bākī|bākī ham[pn.pl.] jō[pn.;d.] sunnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] , yah[pn.sg.d.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] parampitā[n.m.;sg.,d.] paramātmā[n.m.;sg.,d.] kā[postp.ā=>ī;f.]|karnā[past-part.f.]|key śhrīmat[n.m.;sg.,d.] . (others|but) we that listen[pres.pl.m.12hon3] , this be[pres.sg.23] Supreme Father Supreme Soul (of|do[past-part.f.]|key) shrimat .
16Whatever we listen to is shrimat (the elevated versions) of the Supreme Father, the Supreme Soul.
17पहले-पहले तो यह निश्चय चाहिए . pahlē-pahlē tō yah niśhchay chāhiē . pahlā[adj.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.]|pahlē[adv.] tō yah[pn.sg.d.] niśhchay[n.m.;sg.,d.] chāhiē|chāhnā[imp.pl.2hon] . (x|firstly) then this faith (should|x[imp.pl.2hon]) . 18इसमें तो कोई मनुष्य-मत है ही नहीं . ismē̃ tō kōī manuṣhya-mat hai hī nahī̃ . yah[pn.sg.mē̃] tō kōī[pn.;d.] manuṣhya-mat[n.f.;sg.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] hī[p.] nahī̃[neg] . this[.mē̃] then some directions of human beings be[pres.sg.23] only not .
17First of all you need to have this faith; there are no human dictates in this.
19तो फिर वह जो सुनाये , जैसे कराये – उसमें संशय की बात नहीं हो सकती . tō phir vah jō sunāyē , jaisē karāyē – usmē̃ sanśhay kī|key bāt nahī̃ hō saktī . tō phir[adv.]|phirnā[root] vah[pn.sg.d.] jō[pn.;d.] sunānā[past-part.m.pl.,o.] , jaisā[adj.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] karānā[past-part.m.pl.,o.] – vah[pn.sg.mē̃] sanśhay[n.m.;sg.,d.] kā[postp.ā=>ī;f.]|karnā[past-part.f.]|key bāt[n.f.;sg.] nahī̃[neg] hōnā[root]|hōnā[pres.pl.2] saknā[pres-part.f.] . then (then|turn[root]) that that speak[past-part.m.pl.,o.] , like make commit[past-part.m.pl.,o.] – that[.mē̃] doubt (of|do[past-part.f.]|key) matter not (be[root]|be[pres.pl.2]) can[pres-part.f.] .

(x|firstly) this faith (be[imp.pl.2hon.inf+cāhnā]|be[.oblig3]) that we who[.kē] through listen[pres.pl.m.12hon3] ?
19first of all you must have faith in the one through whom you are listening to this.
21पहला फाउन्डेशन यह है . pahlā foundation yah hai . pahlā[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] foundation yah[pn.sg.d.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] . x foundation this be[pres.sg.23] .
20This is the first foundation.
22सुनाने वाला वह समर्थ है . sunānē vālā vah samarth hai . sunānā[inf.m.pl.,o.] vālā[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] vah[pn.sg.d.] samarth[adj.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] . speak[inf.m.pl.,o.] those who that powerful be[pres.sg.23] .
21The One who is relating this to us is the Almighty.
23उनके सुनाने में कोई संशय हो नहीं सकता . unkē sunānē mē̃ kōī sanśhay hō nahī̃ saktā . vah[pn.pl.kē] sunānā[inf.m.pl.,o.] mē̃[postp.] kōī[pn.;d.] sanśhay[n.m.;sg.,d.] hōnā[root]|hōnā[pres.pl.2] nahī̃[neg] saknā[pres-part.m.sg.d.] . that[.kē] speak[inf.m.pl.,o.] in some doubt (be[root]|be[pres.pl.2]) not can[pres-part.m.sg.d.] .
22There cannot be any doubt about anything He tells us.
24माँ-बाप बच्चों को युक्तियों से भल उठा सकते हैं . mā̃-bāp bachchō̃ kō yuktiyō̃ sē bhal uṭhā saktē haĩ . mā̃-bāp[n.m.;sg.,d.] bachchā[n.m.ā=>ō̃;pl.o.] kō[postp.] yukti[n.f.ī=>iyō̃;pl.o.] sē[postp.] bhal uṭhānā[pres.pl.m.12hon3.root+saknā] . parents child to way from although uplift[pres.pl.m.12hon3.root+saknā] .
23The parents can uplift their children with yukti.
25बाकी उल्टी-सुल्टी बातें थोड़ेही करेंगे जिससे हमारा अकल्याण हो जाये . bākī ulṭī-sulṭī bātē̃ thōṛēhī karē̃gē jissē hamārā akalyāṇ hō jāyē . bākī|bākī ulṭā-sulṭā[adj.ā=>ī;f.] bāt[n.f.+ē̃;pl.d.] thōṛēhī karnā[fut.m.pl.12hon3] jō[pn.sg.sē] ham[pn.pl.kā] akalyāṇ[n.m.;sg.,d.] hōnā[past-part.m.pl.,o..root+jānā] . (others|but) anything topsy-turvy matter not do[fut.m.pl.12hon3] that[.sē] we[.kā] loss be[past-part.m.pl.,o..root+jānā] .
24But they would not say anything to harm them.
26बाप तो है ही कल्याणकारी . bāp tō hai hī kalyāṇkārī . bāp[n.m.;sg.,d.] tō hōnā[pres.sg.23] hī[p.] kalyāṇkārī[adj.] . father then be[pres.sg.23] only beneficial .
25The Father is the Benefactor.
27लौकिक रीति भी अपने कर्मों के हिसाब से कहां अकल्याण हो भी जाए , परन्तु बाप बच्चों का कब अकल्याण नहीं चाहेगा . laukik rīti bhī apnē karmō̃ kē|K hisāb sē kahā̃ akalyāṇ hō bhī jāē , parantu bāp bachchō̃ kā kab akalyāṇ nahī̃ chāhēgā . laukik[adj.] rīti[n.f.;sg.] bhī[p.] apnā[pn.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] karm[n.m.+ō̃;pl.o.] kā[postp.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.]|K hisāb[n.m.;sg.,d.] sē[postp.] kahā̃ akalyāṇ[n.m.;sg.,d.] hōnā[root]|hōnā[pres.pl.2] bhī[p.] jānā[past-part.m.pl.,o.]|jānā[opt.sg.23] , parantu[conj.] bāp[n.m.;sg.,d.] bachchā[n.m.ā=>ō̃;pl.o.] kā[postp.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] kab akalyāṇ[n.m.;sg.,d.] nahī̃[neg] chāhnā[fut.m.sg.23] . worldly way too one’s own deed (of|K) account from where loss (be[root]|be[pres.pl.2]) too (go[past-part.m.pl.,o.]|go[opt.sg.23]) , however father child of when loss not x[fut.m.sg.23] .
26In a lokik way as well, according to your karmic accounts, sometimes there is loss. 27However, a father would never wish to harm his children.
28फिर यह तो है ही कल्याणकारी बाप . phir yah tō hai hī kalyāṇkārī bāp . phir[adv.]|phirnā[root] yah[pn.sg.d.] tō hōnā[pres.sg.23] hī[p.] kalyāṇkārī[adj.] bāp[n.m.;sg.,d.] . (then|turn[root]) this then be[pres.sg.23] only beneficial father .
28This One is the Benefactor Father.
29हमारी कर्मों की गति को साफ करने वाला है . hamārī karmō̃ kī gati kō sāph karnē vālā hai . ham[pn.pl.kī] karmō̃ kī gati[x] kō[postp.] sāph[adj.] karnā[inf.m.pl.,o.] vālā[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] . we[.kī] x to clean do[inf.m.pl.,o.] those who be[pres.sg.23] .
29He is the One who clears our karmic situation.
30अपने को यह समझ है – हमको सुनाने वाला वह समर्थ है . apnē kō yah samajh hai – hamkō sunānē vālā vah samarth hai . apnā[pn.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] kō[postp.] yah[pn.sg.d.] samajh[n.f.;sg.]|samajhnā[root] hōnā[pres.sg.23] – ham[pn.pl.kō] sunānā[inf.m.pl.,o.] vālā[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] vah[pn.sg.d.] samarth[adj.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] . one’s own to this (understanding|understand[root]) be[pres.sg.23] – we[.kō] speak[inf.m.pl.,o.] those who that powerful be[pres.sg.23] .
30We have the understanding that the One who is relating this to us is the Almighty.
31इसलिए किसी बात में हम अपनी मत चला नहीं सकते हैं . isliē kisī bāt mē̃ ham apnī mat chalā nahī̃ saktē haĩ . isliē kōī[pn.sg.o.]|kuchh[pn.sg.o.] bāt[n.f.;sg.] mē̃[postp.] ham[pn.pl.] apnā[pn.ā=>ī;f.] mat[n.m.;sg.,d.] chalānā[root]|chalnā[past-part.m.sg.d.] nahī̃[neg] saknā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] . therefore (some|anything) matter in we one’s own directions (x[root]|continue[past-part.m.sg.d.]) not can[pres.pl.m.12hon3] .
31This is why we cannot use our own dictates for anything.
32परन्तु यह तब हो सकता है जब निश्चय हो कि हमें सुनाने वाला कौन है ? parantu yah tab hō saktā hai jab niśhchay hō ki hamē̃ sunānē vālā kaun hai ? parantu[conj.] yah[pn.sg.d.] tab hōnā[pres.sg.m.23.root+saknā] jab niśhchay[n.m.;sg.,d.] hōnā[root]|hōnā[pres.pl.2] ki[conj.] ham[pn.pl.kō] sunānā[inf.m.pl.,o.] vālā[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] kaun[pn.;d.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] ? however this for only then be[pres.sg.m.23.root+saknā] when faith (be[root]|be[pres.pl.2]) that we[.kō] speak[inf.m.pl.,o.] those who who be[pres.sg.23] ?
32But all this can only happen when you have faith in who it is that is relating this knowledge to you.
33बहुतकाल से मनुष्य-मत की बातें बुद्धि में बैठी हुई हैं . bahutkāl sē manuṣhya-mat kī|key bātē̃ buddhi mē̃ baiṭhī huī haĩ . bahutkāl sē[postp.] manuṣhya-mat[n.f.;sg.] kā[postp.ā=>ī;f.]|karnā[past-part.f.]|key bāt[n.f.+ē̃;pl.d.] buddhi[n.f.;sg.] mē̃[postp.] baiṭhnā[past-part.f.] hōnā[pres-perf.pl.f.12hon3] . a long period of time from directions of human beings (of|do[past-part.f.]|key) matter intellect in sit[past-part.f.] be[pres-perf.pl.f.12hon3] .
33For a long period of time you have had in your intellect things that you have been told by human beings.
34इसलिए कई संशय उठाते हैं . isliē kaī sanśhay uṭhātē haĩ . isliē kaī sanśhay[n.m.;sg.,d.] uṭhānā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] . therefore some doubt uplift[pres.pl.m.12hon3] .
34This is why many people have doubts.
35अब हमें जबकि ' बुद्धिवानों की बुद्धि ' मिला है तो उसमें हम कोई संशय उठा नहीं सकते हैं . ab hamē̃ jabki ' buddhivānō̃ kī|key buddhi ' milā hai tō usmē̃ ham kōī sanśhay uṭhā nahī̃ saktē haĩ . ab[adv.] ham[pn.pl.kō] jabki ' buddhivān[n.m.+ō̃;pl.o.] kā[postp.ā=>ī;f.]|karnā[past-part.f.]|key buddhi[n.f.;sg.] ' milnā[pres-perf.sg.m.23] tō vah[pn.sg.mē̃] ham[pn.pl.] kōī[pn.;d.] sanśhay[n.m.;sg.,d.] uṭhānā[root]|uṭhnā[past-part.m.sg.d.] nahī̃[neg] saknā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] . now we[.kō] x ' wise (of|do[past-part.f.]|key) intellect ' receive[pres-perf.sg.m.23] then that[.mē̃] we some doubt (uplift[root]|wake up[past-part.m.sg.d.]) not can[pres.pl.m.12hon3] .
35Since we have found the One who is the Intellect of the Wise, we cannot create any doubts about that.
36उसने तो जो सुनाया , जो कर्तव्य किया – फिर उनके कर्तव्य की प्रालब्ध चली . usnē tō jō sunāyā , jō kartavya kiyā – phir unkē kartavya kī|key prālabdh chalī . vah[pn.sg.nē] tō jō[pn.;d.] sunānā[past-part.m.sg.d.] , jō[pn.;d.] kartavya[n.m.;sg.,d.] karnā[past-part.m.sg.d.] – phir[adv.]|phirnā[root] vah[pn.pl.kē] kartavya[n.m.;sg.,d.] kā[postp.ā=>ī;f.]|karnā[past-part.f.]|key prālabdh[n.f.;sg.] chalnā[past-part.f.] . that[.nē] then that speak[past-part.m.sg.d.] , that activity do[past-part.m.sg.d.] – (then|turn[root]) that[.kē] activity (of|do[past-part.f.]|key) reward continue[past-part.f.] .
36Whatever He related and whatever He carried out was followed by the result of His acts.
37बाद में मनुष्य मत चली है . bād mē̃ manuṣhya mat chalī hai . bād mē̃[x] manuṣhya[n.m.;sg.,d.] mat[n.m.;sg.,d.] chalnā[pres-perf.sg.f.23] . later human being directions continue[pres-perf.sg.f.23] .
37Later on human dictates were followed.
38देवताओं को तो किसके मत की आवश्यकता ही नहीं रही . dēvtāō̃ kō tō kiskē mat kī|key āvaśhyaktā hī nahī̃ rahī . dēvtā[n.f.+ō̃;pl.o.] kō[postp.] tō kaun[pn.sg.kē] mat[n.m.;sg.,d.] kā[postp.ā=>ī;f.]|karnā[past-part.f.]|key āvaśhyaktā[n.f.;sg.] hī[p.] nahī̃[neg] rahnā[past-part.f.] . deity to then who[.kē] directions (of|do[past-part.f.]|key) need only not remain[past-part.f.] .
38Deities do not need directions from anyone.
39उस समय को कहा जाता है सतयुग की आदि . us samay kō kahā jātā hai satyug kī|key ādi . vah[pn.sg.o.] samay[n.m.;sg.,d.] kō[postp.] kahnā[pres.sg.m.23.past-part+jānā]|kahnā[pres.sg.m.23.passive] satyug[n.m.;sg.,d.] kā[postp.ā=>ī;f.]|karnā[past-part.f.]|key ādi[adj.] . that time to (say[pres.sg.m.23.past-part+jānā]|say[pres.sg.m.23.passive]) golden age (of|do[past-part.f.]|key) etc. .
39That time is known as the beginning of the golden age.

40God has enlightened us about all these things.

50गति-सद्गति-दाता भी वही है . gati-sadgati-dātā bhī vahī hai . gati-sadgati-dātā[n.m.ā=>ā;sg.d.] bhī[p.] vahī hōnā[pres.sg.23] . Bestower of Liberation and Salvation too this be[pres.sg.23] .

50He is carrying out His task.
52यह बात निश्चय में आ जाए फिर कोई हलचल नहीं हो सकती है . yah bāt niśhchay mē̃ ā jāē phir kōī halchal nahī̃ hō saktī hai . yah[pn.sg.d.] bāt[n.f.;sg.] niśhchay[n.m.;sg.,d.] mē̃[postp.] ānā[opt.sg.23.root+jānā] phir[adv.]|phirnā[root] kōī[pn.;d.] halchal[x] nahī̃[neg] hōnā[pres.sg.f.23.root+saknā] . this matter faith in come[opt.sg.23.root+jānā] (then|turn[root]) some upheaval not be[pres.sg.f.23.root+saknā] .
