śhirōmaṇī[n.m.;sg.,d.] gītā[n.f.;sg.] hī[p.] gānā[past-part.f.] hōnā[pres-perf.sg.f.23] . x jewel of all the scriptures x Gita only sing[past-part.f.] be[pres-perf.sg.f.23] .
3In fact the Gita, the jewel of all scriptures, has been remembered.
4परन्तु भारतवासियों को मालूम न होने के कारण किसने गाई है , उसका कदर कम कर दिया है . parantu bhāratvāsiyō̃ kō mālūm na hōnē K|kē kāraṇ kisnē gāī hai , uskā kadar cum|kam kar diyā hai . parantu[conj.] bhāratvāsī[n.m.+ō̃;pl.o.] kō[postp.] mālūm[adj.] na[neg] hōnā[inf.m.pl.,o.] K|kā[postp.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] kāraṇ[n.m.;sg.,d.] kaun[pn.sg.nē] gānā[pres-perf.sg.f.23] , vah[pn.sg.kā] kadar[n.f.;sg.] cum|kam[adj.] karnā[pres-perf.sg.m.23.root+dēnā] . however people of Bharat to x not be[inf.m.pl.,o.] (K|of) because who[.nē] sing[pres-perf.sg.f.23] , that[.kā] value (x|less) do[pres-perf.sg.m.23.root+dēnā] .
4But because the people of Bharat do not know who spoke the Gita, their regard for it has diminished.
5भल भगवानुवाच है लेकिन भगवान ने डायरेक्ट गाई है . bhal bhagvānuvāch hai lēkin bhagvān nē direct gāī hai . bhal bhagvānuvāch hōnā[pres.sg.23] lēkin bhagvān[n.m.;sg.,d.] nē[postp.] direct gānā[pres-perf.sg.f.23] . although God speaks be[pres.sg.23] but God ∅ direct sing[pres-perf.sg.f.23] .
5They are the versions of God and they are directly spoken by God.

8But the people of Bharat themselves do not know so how can others know?
9भारत में ही कोर्ट में गीता उठाए कसम लेते हैं . bhārat mē̃ hī court mē̃ gītā uṭhāē kasam lētē haĩ . bhārat[n.m.;sg.,d.] mē̃[postp.] hī[p.] court mē̃[postp.] gītā[n.f.;sg.] uṭhānā[past-part.m.pl.,o.]|uṭhānā[opt.sg.23] kasam[n.f.;sg.] lēnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] . 9It is only in Bharat that they take an oath by the Gita.
10जैसे मुसलमानों का कुरान है , क्रिश्चियन का बाईबल है , वैसे भारत की गीता है . jaisē musalmānō̃ kā kurān hai , kriściyan kā Bible hai , vaisē bhārat key|kī gītā hai . jaisā[adj.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] musalmān[n.m.+ō̃;pl.o.] kā[postp.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] kurān[n.f.;sg.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] , Christian kā[postp.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] Bible hōnā[pres.sg.23] , vaisā[adj.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] bhārat[n.m.;sg.,d.] key|karnā[past-part.f.]|kā[postp.ā=>ī;f.] gītā[n.f.;sg.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] . like Muslim of x be[pres.sg.23] , Christian of Bible be[pres.sg.23] , x Bharat (key|do[past-part.f.]|of) Gita be[pres.sg.23] .
10Just as Muslims have the Koran and Christians have the Bible, so, too, the people of Bharat have the Gita.

12Christ did not say that the Bible is the same as a kalpa ago, because when he came neither his religion nor his scripture existed.

17The Gita exists here, and whilst it is in existence they say: 'The knowledge of Me has disappeared.

" yahā̃ tō practical chāhiē . " yahā̃ tō practical chāhiē|chāhnā[imp.pl.2hon] . " here then practical (should|x[imp.pl.2hon]) .
22Here everything has to be real.
ānā[pres.sg.m.1] . say[pres.pl.m.12hon3] – when of total decay tree be[pres.sg.m.23.root+jānā] for only then I come[pres.sg.m.1] .
23He says: I come when the tree reaches a state of total decay.
26कोई साधू-सन्यासी तो कह नहीं सकते - - मैंने कल्प पहले देवता बनाया था . kōī sādhū-sanyāsī tō kah nahī̃ saktē - - mainnē kalp pahlē dēvtā banāyā thā . kōī[pn.;d.] sādhū-sannyāsī[n.m.;sg.,d.] tō kahnā[root] nahī̃[neg] saknā[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] - - maĩ[pn.sg.nē] kalp[n.m.;sg.,d.] pahlā[adj.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.]|pahlē[adv.] dēvtā[n.f.;sg.] banānā[past-perf.m.sg.] . some sages and sannyasis then say[root] not can[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] - - I[.nē] cycle (x|firstly) deity create[past-perf.m.sg.] .
24None of the sages or saints can say this. 25I created the deities a kalpa ago.
ēk[adj.] mē̃[postp.] hī[p.] buddhi[n.f.;sg.] lagānā[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2] . x , I one in only intellect attach[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2] .
26Manmanabhav: constantly remember Me alone, connect your intellect only to Me.
28अक्षर ही परमात्मा के डायरेक्ट हैं . akṣhar hī paramātmā K|kē direct haĩ . akṣhar[n.m.;sg.,d.] hī[p.] paramātmā[n.m.;sg.,d.] K|kā[postp.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] direct hōnā[pres.pl.12hon3] . word only Supreme Soul (K|of) direct be[pres.pl.12hon3] .
27These are the direct words of God.
29कोई महात्मा गीता सुनायेगा तो भी कहेगा - परमात्मा से योग लगाओ . kōī mahātmā gītā sunāyēgā tō bhī kahēgā - paramātmā sē yōg lagāō . kōī[pn.;d.] mahātmā[n.f.;sg.] gītā[n.f.;sg.] sunānā[fut.m.sg.23] tō bhī[x] kahnā[fut.m.sg.23] - paramātmā[n.m.;sg.,d.] sē[postp.] yōg[n.m.;sg.,d.] lagānā[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2] . some great soul Gita speak[fut.m.sg.23] ∅ say[fut.m.sg.23] - Supreme Soul from yoga attach[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2] .
28Even if a great soul relates the Gita, he would say: Have yoga with God.
30ऐसे नहीं कहेगा मेरे में लगाओ . aisē nahī̃ kahēgā mērē mē̃ lagāō . aisē nahī̃[x] kahnā[fut.m.sg.23] maĩ[pn.sg.kē] mē̃[postp.] lagānā[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2] . it isn't that say[fut.m.sg.23] I[.kē] in attach[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2] .
29He would not say: Have yoga with me.
31तो जरुर परमात्मा ने खुद डायरेक्ट कहा है . tō jarur paramātmā nē khud direct kahā hai . tō zarūr paramātmā[n.m.;sg.,d.] nē[postp.] khud direct kahnā[pres-perf.sg.m.23] . then definitely Supreme Soul ∅ oneself direct say[pres-perf.sg.m.23] .
30So God must have said this directly.
ēk[adj.] mē̃[postp.] buddhi[n.f.;sg.] lagānā[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2] . for only then say[pres-perf.sg.m.23] - I one in intellect attach[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2] .
31This is why He said: Connect your intellect with Me alone.
33यह भी खुद परमात्मा ने समझाया है . yah bhī khud paramātmā nē samjhāyā hai . yah[pn.sg.d.] bhī[p.] khud paramātmā[n.m.;sg.,d.] nē[postp.] samjhānā[pres-perf.sg.m.23] . this too oneself Supreme Soul ∅ explain[pres-perf.sg.m.23] .
32God Himself has explained this.
34तब समझते हैं कि वह डायरेक्ट आकर कह रहे हैं . tab samajhtē haĩ ki vah direct ākar kah rahē haĩ . tab samajhnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] ki[conj.] vah[pn.sg.d.] direct ānā[abs.] kahnā[pres.pl.m.prog.12hon3] . for only then understand[pres.pl.m.12hon3] that that direct come[abs.] say[pres.pl.m.prog.12hon3] . 35शास्त्रों में तो कितनी कहानियाँ लिखी हैं – लश्कर थे , बाणों से लड़ाई हुई . śhāstrō̃ mē̃ tō kitnī kahāniyā̃ likhī haĩ – laśhkar thē , bāṇō̃ sē laṛāī huī . śhāstra[n.m.+ō̃;pl.o.] mē̃[postp.] tō kitnā[adj.ā=>ī;f.] kahānī[n.f.ī=>iyā̃;pl.d.] likhnā[pres-perf.pl.f.12hon3] – laśhkar[n.m.;sg.,d.] hōnā[past.pl] , bāṇ ou vāṇ[n.m.+ō̃;pl.o.] sē[postp.] laṛāī[n.f.ī=>ī;sg.]|laṛānā[past-part.f.] hōnā[past-part.f.] . scripture in then so x write[pres-perf.pl.f.12hon3] – army be[past.pl] , x from (war|x[past-part.f.]) be[past-part.f.] .
33This is why you understand that He comes and tells you directly ..They have written so many stories in the scriptures, for example that there was an army, and that they fought with bows and arrows.
36लेकिन हम तो पक्के अहिंसक हैं . lēkin ham tō pakkē ahiṃsak haĩ . lēkin ham[pn.pl.] tō pakkā[adj.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] ahiṃsak[adj.] hōnā[pres.pl.12hon3] . but we then firm non-violent be[pres.pl.12hon3] .
34However, we are completely non-violent.
37न अस्त्र-शस्त्र की लड़ाई है , न काम कटारी चलाते हैं . na astra-śhastra key|kī laṛāī hai , na kām kaṭārī chalātē haĩ . na[neg] astra śhastra[n.m.;sg.,d.] key|karnā[past-part.f.]|kā[postp.ā=>ī;f.] laṛānā[pres-perf.sg.f.23] , na[neg] kām kaṭārī[x] chalānā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] . not weapons (key|do[past-part.f.]|of) x[pres-perf.sg.f.23] , not x x[pres.pl.m.12hon3] .
35Neither is there any battle in which weapons are used nor do we use the sword of lust.
38असुल तो पवित्र प्रवृत्ति मार्ग था जिसको गृहस्थ आश्रम माना पवित्र स्थान कहते हैं . asul tō pavitra pravr̥itti mārg thā jiskō gr̥ihasth āśhram mānā pavitra sthān kahtē haĩ . asul ou asal[adj.] tō pavitr[adj.] pravr̥itti mārg[x] hōnā[past.m.sg] jō[pn.sg.kō] gr̥ihasth āśhram[x] mānā|mānnā[past-part.m.sg.d.] pavitr[adj.] sthān[n.m.;sg.,d.] kahnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] . x then pure family path be[past.m.sg] that[.kō] household ashram (means|x[past-part.m.sg.d.]) pure place say[pres.pl.m.12hon3] .
36Originally there was the pure family path which was called a household ashram, that is, a pure place.
39वह तो मैं स्थापन करता हूँ . vah tō maĩ sthāpan kartā hū̃ . vah[pn.sg.d.] tō maĩ[pn.sg.d.] sthāpanā, sthāpan[n.m.;sg.,d.] karnā[pres.sg.m.1] . that then I establishment do[pres.sg.m.1] .
37I establish that.
40मुक्ति भी मैं आकर देता हूँ . mukti bhī maĩ ākar dētā hū̃ . mukti[n.f.ī=>ī;sg.] bhī[p.] maĩ[pn.sg.d.] ānā[abs.] dēnā[pres.sg.m.1] . liberation too I come[abs.] give[pres.sg.m.1] .

41अब विनाश तो सामने है और स्थापना भी हो रही है . ab vināśh tō sāmnē hai aur sthāpanā bhī hō rahī hai . ab[adv.] vināśh[n.m.;sg.,d.] tō sāmnē hōnā[pres.sg.23] aur sthāpanā, sthāpan[n.f.;sg.] bhī[p.] hōnā[pres.sg.f.prog.23] . now destruction then x be[pres.sg.23] and establishment too be[pres.sg.f.prog.23] .
39Now destruction is in front of you and establishment is taking place.

(then|turn[root]) then x without effort pure remain[fut.m.pl.12hon3.pres-part+ānā] .
83Then you will remain pure for many births without having to make any effort.
87जहाँ मूल एम ऑब्जेक्ट ही पवित्रता की हैं , वहाँ अपवित्रता की बात कैसे हो सकती . jahā̃ mūl aim object hī pavitratā kī haĩ , vahā̃ apavitratā key|kī bāt kaisē hō saktī . jahā̃ mūl[n.m.;sg.,d.] aim object[x] hī[p.] pavitratā[n.f.;sg.] karnā[pres-perf.pl.f.12hon3] , vahā̃ apavitratā[n.f.;sg.] key|karnā[past-part.f.]|kā[postp.ā=>ī;f.] bāt[n.f.;sg.] kaisā[adj.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] hōnā[root]|hōnā[pres.pl.2] saknā[pres-part.f.] . where there main aim and objective only purity do[pres-perf.pl.f.12hon3] , there impurity (key|do[past-part.f.]|of) matter how (be[root]|be[pres.pl.2]) can[pres-part.f.] .
84The main aim and object is purity. 85How can there be any mention of impurity there?
