8ओम् शान्ति . ōm śhānti . ōm śhānti[x] . Om Shanti .
8Om shanti.
9बाप बैठ बच्चों को समझाते हैं , मनुष्य ' मन की शान्ति , मन की शान्ति ' कह हैरान होते हैं . bāp baiṭh bachchō̃ kō samjhātē haĩ , manuṣhya ' man key|kī śhānti , man key|kī śhānti ' kah hairān hōtē haĩ . bāp[n.m.;sg.,d.] baiṭhnā[root] bachchā[n.m.ā=>ō̃;pl.o.] kō[postp.] samjhānā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] , manuṣhya[n.m.;sg.,d.] ' man[n.m.;sg.,d.] key|karnā[past-part.f.]|kā[postp.ā=>ī;f.] śhānti , man[n.m.;sg.,d.] key|karnā[past-part.f.]|kā[postp.ā=>ī;f.] śhānti ' kahnā[root] hairān[adj.] hōnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] . father sit[root] child to explain[pres.pl.m.12hon3] , human being ' mind (key|do[past-part.f.]|of) peace , mind (key|do[past-part.f.]|of) peace ' say[root] x be[pres.pl.m.12hon3] .
9The Father sits here and explains to you children. 10People become desperate, constantly asking for peace of mind.
10रोज़ कहते भी हैं ओम् शान्ति . rōz kahtē bhī haĩ ōm śhānti . rōz kahnā[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] bhī[p.] hōnā[pres.pl.12hon3] ōm śhānti[x] . day say[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] too be[pres.pl.12hon3] Om Shanti . 11परन्तु इसका अर्थ न समझने के कारण शान्ति मांगते ही रहते हैं . parantu iskā arth|earth na samajhnē K|kē kāraṇ śhānti māṅgtē hī rahtē haĩ . parantu[conj.] yah[pn.sg.kā] arth[n.m.;sg.,d.]|earth na[neg] samajhnā[inf.m.pl.,o.] K|kā[postp.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] kāraṇ[n.m.;sg.,d.] śhānti mā̃gnā[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] hī[p.] rahnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] . however this[.kā] (meaning|earth) not understand[inf.m.pl.,o.] (K|of) because peace ask[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] only remain[pres.pl.m.12hon3] .
11They do say “Om shanti” every day but, because they don’t understand the meaning of that, they continue to ask for peace.
12कहते भी हैं आई एम आत्मा अर्थात् आई एम साइलेन्स . kahtē bhī haĩ I am ātmā arthāt I am silence . kahnā[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] bhī[p.] hōnā[pres.pl.12hon3] I am[x] ātmā[n.f.;sg.] arthāt I am silence[x] . say[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] too be[pres.pl.12hon3] I am soul that is x .
12They even say: I am a soul, which means: I am silence.
13हमारा स्वधर्म है साइलेन्स . hamārā svadharm hai silence . ham[pn.pl.kā] svadharm[n.m.;sg.,d.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] silence . we[.kā] original dharma be[pres.sg.23] silence .
13Our original religion is silence.
śhānti hōnā[pres.sg.23] tō phir[adv.]|phirnā[root] mā̃gnā[inf.m.sg.d.] kyō̃ ? (then|turn[root]) when that original dharma peace be[pres.sg.23] then (then|turn[root]) ask[inf.m.sg.d.] why ?
14If your original religion is silence, why do you then need to ask for it?
15अर्थ न समझने के कारण फिर भी मांगते रहते हैं . arth|earth na samajhnē K|kē kāraṇ phir bhī māṅgtē rahtē haĩ . arth[n.m.;sg.,d.]|earth na[neg] samajhnā[inf.m.pl.,o.] K|kā[postp.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] kāraṇ[n.m.;sg.,d.] phir bhī[x] mā̃gnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3.pres-part+rahnā] . 15Because they do not understand the meaning of this peace, they keep asking for it.
16तुम समझते हो यह रावण राज्य है . tum samajhtē hō yah rāvaṇ rājya hai . tum[pn.pl.] samajhnā[pres.pl.m.2] yah[pn.sg.d.] rāvaṇ rājya[x] hōnā[pres.sg.23] . you understand[pres.pl.m.2] this kingdom of Ravan be[pres.sg.23] . 17परन्तु यह भी नहीं समझते हैं कि रावण सारी दुनिया का आम और भारत का ख़ास दुश्मन है इसलिए रावण को जलाते रहते हैं . parantu yah bhī nahī̃ samajhtē haĩ ki rāvaṇ sārī duniyā kā ām aur bhārat kā ḵẖās duśhman hai isliē rāvaṇ kō jalātē rahtē haĩ . parantu[conj.] yah[pn.sg.d.] bhī[p.] nahī̃[neg] samajhnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] ki[conj.] rāvaṇ[n.m.;sg.,d.] sārā[adj.ā=>ī;f.] duniyā[n.f.;sg.] kā[postp.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] ām[n.m.;sg.,d.]|ām[adj.] aur bhārat[n.m.;sg.,d.] kā[postp.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] khās duśhman[n.m.;sg.,d.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] isliē rāvaṇ[n.m.;sg.,d.] kō[postp.] jalānā[pres.pl.m.12hon3.pres-part+rahnā] . however this too not understand[pres.pl.m.12hon3] that Ravan the whole world of (mango|general) and Bharat of x enemy be[pres.sg.23] therefore Ravan to burn[pres.pl.m.12hon3.pres-part+rahnā] .
16You understand that this is Ravan’s kingdom, but you don’t even understand that Ravan is the enemy of everyone in the whole world in general and Bharat in particular. 17This is why they continue to burn Ravan’s effigy.
18ऐसा कोई भी मनुष्य है , जिसको कोई वर्ष-वर्ष जलाते हों ? aisā kōī bhī manuṣhya hai , jiskō kōī varṣh-varṣh jalātē hō̃ ? aisā[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] kōī bhī[x] manuṣhya[n.m.;sg.,d.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] , jō[pn.sg.kō] kōī[pn.;d.] varṣh[n.m.;sg.,d.] jalānā[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] hōnā[opt.pl.12hon3] ? such anyone human being be[pres.sg.23] , that[.kō] some year burn[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] be[opt.pl.12hon3] ?
18Is there any such human being whose effigy is burnt year after year?
19इनको तो जन्म-जन्मान्तर , कल्प-कल्पान्तर जलाते आये हैं क्योंकि यह तुम्हारा दुश्मन बहुत बड़ा है . inkō tō janma-janmāntar , kalp-kalpāntar jalātē āyē haĩ kyōṅki yah tumhārā duśhman bahut baṛā hai . yah[pn.pl.kō] tō janma-janmāntar , kalpāntar jalānā[pres-perf.pl.m.12hon3.pres-part+ānā] kyōṅki yah[pn.sg.d.] tum[pn.pl.kā] duśhman[n.m.;sg.,d.] bahut baṛā[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] . this[.kō] then x , x burn[pres-perf.pl.m.12hon3.pres-part+ānā] because this you[.kā] enemy very very be[pres.sg.23] .
19They have been burning him for birth after birth, cycle after cycle, because he is your biggest enemy.
205 विकारों में सब फँसते हैं . 5 vikārō̃ mē̃ sab phanstē haĩ . 5 vikār[n.m.+ō̃;pl.o.] mē̃[postp.] sab[adj.] phansnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] . 5 vice in all be trapped[pres.pl.m.12hon3] .
20Everyone is trapped in the five vices.
21जन्म ही भ्रष्टाचार से होता है तो रावण का राज्य हुआ . janm hī bhraṣhṭāchār sē hōtā hai tō rāvaṇ kā rājya huā . janamnā[root]|janm[n.m.;sg.,d.] hī[p.] bhraṣhṭāchār[n.m.;sg.,d.] sē[postp.] hōnā[pres.sg.m.23] tō rāvaṇ[n.m.;sg.,d.] kā[postp.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] rājya[n.m.;sg.,d.] hōnā[past-part.m.sg.d.] . 21Everyone’s birth takes place through corruption. 22Therefore, this is the kingdom of Ravan.
22इस समय अथाह दुःख हैं . is samay athāh duḥkh haĩ . is samay[x] athāh[adj.] duḥkhnā[root]|duḥkh[n.m.;sg.,d.] hōnā[pres.pl.12hon3] . at this time x (hurt[root]|sorrow) be[pres.pl.12hon3] .
23At this time, there is limitless sorrow.
23इसका निमित्त कौन ? iskā nimitt kaun ? yah[pn.sg.kā] nimitt[n.m.;sg.,d.] kaun[pn.;d.] ? this[.kā] instrument who ?
24Who is responsible for this sorrow?
24रावण . rāvaṇ . rāvaṇ[n.m.;sg.,d.] . Ravan .

26No one knows the cause of sorrow.
26यह तो राज्य ही रावण का है . yah tō rājya hī rāvaṇ kā hai . yah[pn.sg.d.] tō rājya[n.m.;sg.,d.] hī[p.] rāvaṇ[n.m.;sg.,d.] kā[postp.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] . this then kingdom only Ravan of be[pres.sg.23] .
27This kingdom belongs to Ravan.
27सबसे बड़ा दुश्मन यह है . sabsē baṛā duśhman yah hai . sabsē baṛā[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] duśhman[n.m.;sg.,d.] yah[pn.sg.d.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] . the most very enemy this be[pres.sg.23] .

30Day by day, they make the effigies larger; sorrow also continues to increase.
31इतने बड़े-बड़े साधू , सन्त , महात्मायें , राजायें आदि हैं परन्तु एक को भी यह पता नहीं है कि रावण हमारा दुश्मन है , जिसको हम वर्ष-वर्ष जलाते हैं . itnē baṛē-baṛē sādhū , sant , mahātmāyē̃ , rājāyē̃ ādi haĩ parantu ēk kō bhī yah patā nahī̃ hai ki rāvaṇ hamārā duśhman hai , jiskō ham varṣh-varṣh jalātē haĩ . itnā[adj.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] baṛā[adj.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] sādhū[n.m.;sg.,d.] , sant[n.m.;sg.,d.] , mahātmā[n.f.+ē̃;pl.d.] , rājā[n.f.+ē̃;pl.d.] ādi[adj.] hōnā[pres.pl.12hon3] parantu[conj.] ēk[adj.] kō[postp.] bhī[p.] yah[pn.sg.d.] patā[n.m.ā=>ā;sg.d.] nahī̃[neg] hōnā[pres.sg.23] ki[conj.] rāvaṇ[n.m.;sg.,d.] ham[pn.pl.kā] duśhman[n.m.;sg.,d.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] , jō[pn.sg.kō] ham[pn.pl.] varṣh[n.m.;sg.,d.] jalānā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] . such very sage , holy man , great soul , king etc. be[pres.pl.12hon3] however one to too this knowledge not be[pres.sg.23] that Ravan we[.kā] enemy be[pres.sg.23] , that[.kō] we year burn[pres.pl.m.12hon3] .

32और फिर खुशी मनाते हैं . aur phir khuśhī manātē haĩ . aur phir[adv.]|phirnā[root] khuśhī[n.f.ī=>ī;sg.] manānā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] . and (then|turn[root]) happiness celebrate[pres.pl.m.12hon3] .
32In fact, they celebrate this festival with even greater happiness.
33समझते हैं रावण मरा और हम लंका के मालिक बनें . samajhtē haĩ rāvaṇ marā aur ham laṅkā K|kē mālik banē̃ . samajhnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] rāvaṇ[n.m.;sg.,d.] marnā[past-part.m.sg.d.] aur ham[pn.pl.] laṅkā[n.f.;sg.] K|kā[postp.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] mālik[n.m.;sg.,d.] bannā[opt.pl.12hon3] . understand[pres.pl.m.12hon3] Ravan die[past-part.m.sg.d.] and we Lanka (K|of) master become[opt.pl.12hon3] .
33They think that Ravan has died and that they have become the masters of Lanka (kingdom of Ravan).
34परन्तु मालिक बनते नहीं हैं . parantu mālik bantē nahī̃ haĩ . parantu[conj.] mālik[n.m.;sg.,d.] bannā[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] nahī̃[neg] hōnā[pres.pl.12hon3] . however master become[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] not be[pres.pl.12hon3] .

38It is shown that Ravan is killed and that Lanka is then looted, but no one understands why they burn Ravan.
40इस समय सब इन विकारों की जेल में पड़े हैं . is samay sab in vikārō̃ key|kī jēl mē̃ paṛē haĩ . is samay[x] sab[adj.] in|yah[pn.pl.o.] vikār[n.m.+ō̃;pl.o.] key|karnā[past-part.f.]|kā[postp.ā=>ī;f.] jēl[n.f.;sg.] mē̃[postp.] paṛnā[pres-perf.pl.m.12hon3] . at this time all (in|this) vice (key|do[past-part.f.]|of) jail in fall[pres-perf.pl.m.12hon3] .

186The Father teaches you and He then becomes the One who takes you back with Him.
189ऐसे बाप को कितना याद करना चाहिए . aisē bāp kō kitnā yād karnā chāhiē . aisā[adj.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] bāp[n.m.;sg.,d.] kō[postp.] kitnā[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] yād karnā[imp.pl.2hon.inf+cāhnā]|yād karnā[.oblig3] . such father to so (remember) .
