शोक वाटिका śhōk vāṭikā (1)

Garden of sorrow, grief, sadness.
When Sītā comes out of the circle of protection drawn by Rām, the demon Rāvaṇ captures her. The garden where Sītā is imprisoned is called in the scriptures aśhōk vāṭikā "garden without sorrow". But since it is in fact a garden where sorrow is found, Baba gives it the name śhōk vāṭikā "garden of sorrow".
