14When a child is adopted he then claims a right.

14लेकिन इसमें तो बच्चा बनकर फिर भी पुरुषार्थ है . lēkin ismē̃ tō bachchā bankar phir bhī puruṣhārth hai . lēkin yah[pn.sg.mē̃] tō bachchā[n.m.ā=>ā;sg.d.] bannā[abs.] phir bhī[x] puruṣhārth[n.m.;sg.,d.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] . but this[.mē̃] then child become[abs.] nevertheless effort be[pres.sg.23] .

15धारणा कर लायक बनना है . dhārṇā kar lāyak bannā hai . dhārṇā[n.f.;sg.] karnā[root] lāyak[x] bannā[pres.sg.23.oblig1] . dharna do[root] worthy become[pres.sg.23.oblig1] .

16You must imbibe in order to become worthy.

16बच्चे बनने के बाद भी फिर बच्चा आज्ञाकारी , सपूत , फरमानबरदार हो . bachchē bannē kē bād bhī phir bachchā āgyākārī , sapūt , pharmānbardār hō . bachchā[n.m.ā=>ē;sg.o.,m.pl.d.] bannā[inf.m.pl.,o.] kē bād[x] bhī[p.] phir[adv.]|phirnā[root] bachchā[n.m.ā=>ā;sg.d.] āgyākārī[adj.] , sapūt[n.m.;sg.,d.] , farmānbardār[adj.] hōnā[root]|hōnā[pres.pl.2] . child become[inf.m.pl.,o.] after too (then|turn[root]) child obedient , worthy , obedient (be[root]|be[pres.pl.2]) .

17After becoming His child you should be obedient and worthy.

17उस लौकिक में तो कैसा भी बच्चा हो - हक ले लेगा . us laukik mē̃ tō kaisā bhī bachchā hō - hak lē lēgā . vah[pn.sg.o.] laukik[adj.] mē̃[postp.] tō kaisā[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] bhī[p.] bachchā[n.m.ā=>ā;sg.d.] hōnā[root]|hōnā[pres.pl.2] - hak[n.m.;sg.,d.] lēnā[fut.m.sg.23.root+lēnā] . that worldly in then how too child (be[root]|be[pres.pl.2]) - x take[fut.m.sg.23.root+lēnā] .

18In lokik life a child would claim a right no matter what he was like.

18लेकिन यहाँ तो बच्चा बनकर भी फिर उनके फरमान पर पूरा चलेंगे तो पूरी-पूरी मार्क्स मिलेगी . lēkin yahā̃ tō bachchā bankar bhī phir unkē pharmān par pūrā chalē̃gē tō pūrī-pūrī marks milēgī . lēkin yahā̃ tō bachchā[n.m.ā=>ā;sg.d.] bannā[abs.] bhī[p.] phir[adv.]|phirnā[root] vah[pn.pl.kē] pharmān[n.m.;sg.,d.] par[postp.]|par[adj.] pūrā[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] chalnā[fut.m.pl.12hon3] tō pūrī[n.f.ī=>ī;sg.]|pūrā[adj.ā=>ī;f.] mark milnā[fut.f.sg.23] . but here then child become[abs.] too (then|turn[root]) that[.kē] x (at|other) full continue[fut.m.pl.12hon3] then (puri|full) mark receive[fut.f.sg.23] .

19But here, even after becoming His child, you will only claim full marks if you follow His directions.

19कहते हैं - सब तुम्हारे लिए है है . kahtē haĩ - sab tumhārē liē hai hai . kahnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] - sab[adj.] tum[pn.pl.kē] lēnā[x] hōnā[pres.sg.23] . say[pres.pl.m.12hon3] - all you[.kē] take[x] be[pres.sg.23] .

20He says: Everything is for you.

20उस बाप को तो कुछ अपनी लालसा रहती है लेकिन यहाँ तो जो करेगा सो पायेगा . us bāp kō tō kuchh apnī lālsā rahtī hai lēkin yahā̃ tō jō karēgā sō pāyēgā . vah[pn.sg.o.] bāp[n.m.;sg.,d.] kō[postp.] tō kuchh apnā[pn.ā=>ī;f.] lālsā[n.f.;sg.] rahnā[pres.sg.f.23] lēkin yahā̃ tō jō[pn.;d.] karnā[fut.m.sg.23] sōnā[fut.m.sg.23.root+pānā] . that father to then anything one’s own x remain[pres.sg.f.23] but here then that do[fut.m.sg.23] sleep[fut.m.sg.23.root+pānā] .

21That father has some sort of expectation but here, whoever does anything will receive a return for what they have done.

21अभी के पुरुषार्थ से सब पदार्थ जन्म-जन्मान्तर के लिए मिल जायेंगे . abhī kē|K puruṣhārth sē sab padārtha janma-janmāntar kē liē mil jāyēṅgē . ab[adv.hī] kā[postp.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.]|K puruṣhārth[n.m.;sg.,d.] sē[postp.] sab[adj.] padārtha[n.m.;sg.,d.] janma-janmāntar kē liē[x] milnā[fut.m.pl.12hon3.root+jānā] . now (of|K) effort from all x x for receive[fut.m.pl.12hon3.root+jānā] .

22Through the effort made now you will receive all material comforts for birth after birth.

22मृत्यु होते भी जन्म-जन्मान्तर हमारा सुख लगातार चलता रहेगा . mr̥ityu hōtē bhī janma-janmāntar hamārā sukh lagātār chaltā rahēgā . mr̥ityu[n.m.;sg.,d.] hōnā[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] bhī[p.] janma-janmāntar ham[pn.pl.kā] sukh[n.m.;sg.,d.] lagātār chalnā[fut.m.sg.23.pres-part+rahnā] . death be[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] too x we[.kā] happiness x continue[fut.m.sg.23.pres-part+rahnā] .

23Even after death in this life, we shall experience happiness for birth after birth.

23इसलिए वहाँ हमारा मरना , मरना नहीं है . isliē vahā̃ hamārā marnā , marnā nahī̃ hai . isliē vahā̃ ham[pn.pl.kā] marnā[inf.m.sg.d.] , marnā[inf.m.sg.d.] nahī̃[neg] hōnā[pres.sg.23] . therefore there we[.kā] die[inf.m.sg.d.] , die[inf.m.sg.d.] not be[pres.sg.23] .

24This is why when we die there we do not really die.

24यहाँ तो अकाले मृत्यु होती है . yahā̃ tō akālē mr̥iityu hōtī hai . yahā̃ tō akālē mr̥iityu[x] hōnā[pres.sg.f.23] . here then untimely death be[pres.sg.f.23] .

25Here, there is untimely death.

Baba say[pres.pl.m.12hon3] – x be[pres.pl.12hon3] then that[.kā] happiness too practical in (should|x[imp.pl.2hon]) .

26Baba says: If you have material comforts, you should experience happiness through using them.

26मनुष्यों के पास धन है तो भी दुःख है . manuṣhyō̃ kē pās dhan hai tō bhī duḥkh hai . manuṣhya[n.m.+ō̃;pl.o.] kē pās[x] dhan[n.m.;sg.,d.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] tō bhī[x] duḥkh[n.m.;sg.,d.]|duḥkhnā[root] hōnā[pres.sg.23] . human being to wealth be[pres.sg.23] ∅ (sorrow|hurt[root]) be[pres.sg.23] .

27Even though human beings have wealth they still experience sorrow.

27तो फिर कह देते हैं कि इच्छा ही न हो क्योंकि देखते हैं कि इच्छा ही खराब चीज है . tō phir kah dētē haĩ ki ichchhā hī na hō kyōṅki dēkhtē haĩ ki ichchhā hī kharāb chīj hai . tō phir[adv.]|phirnā[root] kahnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3.root+dēnā] ki[conj.] ichchhā[n.f.;sg.] hī[p.] na[neg] hōnā[root]|hōnā[pres.pl.2] kyōṅki dēkhnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] ki[conj.] ichchhā[n.f.;sg.] hī[p.] kharāb[adj.] chīz[n.f.;sg.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] . then (then|turn[root]) say[pres.pl.m.12hon3.root+dēnā] that desire only not (be[root]|be[pres.pl.2]) because see[pres.pl.m.12hon3] that desire only bad thing be[pres.sg.23] .

28So they then say that they should not have any desires because desires are bad.

28तो फिर हठ से इच्छाओं को मारने की कोशिश करते हैं . tō phir haṭh sē ichchhāō̃ kō mārnē kī|key kōśhiśh kartē haĩ . tō phir[adv.]|phirnā[root] haṭh[n.m.;sg.,d.] sē[postp.] ichchhā[n.f.+ō̃;pl.o.] kō[postp.] mārnā[inf.m.pl.,o.] kā[postp.ā=>ī;f.]|karnā[past-part.f.]|key kōśhiśh[n.f.;sg.] karnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] . then (then|turn[root]) force from desire to beat[inf.m.pl.,o.] (of|do[past-part.f.]|key) try do[pres.pl.m.12hon3] .

29So they try to kill their desires.

29लेकिन इसमें हठ आदि की बात ही नहीं है . lēkin ismē̃ haṭh ādi kī|key bāt hī nahī̃ hai . lēkin yah[pn.sg.mē̃] haṭh[n.m.;sg.,d.] ādi[adj.] kā[postp.ā=>ī;f.]|karnā[past-part.f.]|key bāt[n.f.;sg.] hī[p.] nahī̃[neg] hōnā[pres.sg.23] . but this[.mē̃] force etc. (of|do[past-part.f.]|key) matter only not be[pres.sg.23] .

30But there is no question of force about this.

30अब मनुष्यों के पास सुख रहता ही नहीं है , तब कहते हैं कि संसार काग विष्टा के समान है . ab manuṣhyō̃ kē pās sukh rahtā hī nahī̃ hai , tab kahtē haĩ ki saṅsār kāg viṣhṭā kē|K samān hai . ab[adv.] manuṣhya[n.m.+ō̃;pl.o.] kē pās[x] sukh[n.m.;sg.,d.] rahnā[pres-part.m.sg.d.] hī[p.] nahī̃[neg] hōnā[pres.sg.23] , tab kahnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] ki[conj.] saṅsār[x] kāg viṣhṭā[x] kā[postp.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.]|K samān[adj.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] . now human being to happiness remain[pres-part.m.sg.d.] only not be[pres.sg.23] , for only then say[pres.pl.m.12hon3] that world x (of|K) equal be[pres.sg.23] . 31यह संसार बना ही नहीं है . yah saṅsār banā hī nahī̃ hai . yah[pn.sg.d.] saṅsār[x] banānā[root]|bannā[past-part.m.sg.d.] hī[p.] nahī̃[neg] hōnā[pres.sg.23] . this world (create[root]|become[past-part.m.sg.d.]) only not be[pres.sg.23] .

31Human beings now do not have any happiness, so they say that happiness is like the droppings of a crow and that this world was never created.

32लेकिन अपने पास नॉलेज है कि सम्पत्ति ही सुख देने वाली है . lēkin apnē pās|pass knowledge hai ki sampatti hī sukh dēnē vālī hai . lēkin apnā[pn.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] pās|pass knowledge hōnā[pres.sg.23] ki[conj.] sampatti[n.f.ī=>ī;sg.] hī[p.] sukh[n.m.;sg.,d.] dēnā[inf.m.pl.,o.] vālā[adj.ā=>ī;f.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] . but one’s own (x|pass) knowledge be[pres.sg.23] that wealth only happiness give[inf.m.pl.,o.] those who be[pres.sg.23] . 33लेकिन सम्पत्ति भी पवित्र हो . lēkin sampatti bhī pavitra hō . lēkin sampatti[n.f.ī=>ī;sg.] bhī[p.] pavitr[adj.] hōnā[root]|hōnā[pres.pl.2] . but wealth too pure (be[root]|be[pres.pl.2]) .

32We have the knowledge that wealth will give us happiness, but for this wealth we should also be pure.

34पवित्र शरीर , पवित्र संसार हो . pavitra śharīr , pavitra saṅsār hō . pavitr[adj.] śharīr[n.m.;sg.,d.] , pavitr[adj.] saṅsār[x] hōnā[root]|hōnā[pres.pl.2] . pure body , pure world (be[root]|be[pres.pl.2]) .

33The body should be pure and the world should be pure.

35हमारे पास पवित्रता का वह बल चाहिए जिससे हर चीज पवित्र हो जाए . hamārē pās|pass pavitratā kā vah bal chāhiē jissē har|her chīj pavitra hō jāē . ham[pn.pl.kē] pās|pass pavitratā[n.f.;sg.] kā[postp.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] vah[pn.sg.d.] bal[n.m.;sg.,d.] chāhiē|chāhnā[imp.pl.2hon] jō[pn.sg.sē] harnā[root]|har|her chīz[n.f.;sg.] pavitr[adj.] hōnā[opt.sg.23.root+jānā] . we[.kē] (x|pass) purity of that strength (should|x[imp.pl.2hon]) that[.sē] (x[root]|x) thing pure be[opt.sg.23.root+jānā] .

34We need to have such power of purity that everything can be purified.

36इस विकारी दुनिया की पवित्रता में कोई बल नहीं है , इसमें विकारी खाता मिक्स है . is vikārī duniyā kī|key pavitratā mē̃ kōī bal nahī̃ hai , ismē̃ vikārī khātā mix hai . yah[pn.sg.o.] vikārī[adj.] duniyā[n.f.;sg.] kā[postp.ā=>ī;f.]|karnā[past-part.f.]|key pavitratā[n.f.;sg.] mē̃[postp.] kōī[pn.;d.] bal[n.m.;sg.,d.] nahī̃[neg] hōnā[pres.sg.23] , yah[pn.sg.mē̃] vikārī[adj.] khānā[pres-part.m.sg.d.]|khātā[n.m.ā=>ā;sg.d.] mix hōnā[pres.sg.23] . this vicious world (of|do[past-part.f.]|key) purity in some strength not be[pres.sg.23] , this[.mē̃] vicious (eat[pres-part.m.sg.d.]|account) x be[pres.sg.23] .

35There is no power in the purity of this vicious world; there are accounts of vices mixed in it.

36If there is purity, there should be purity in birth and death also.

37There should be such a degree of purity that everything is pure.

39इस पुरानी दुनिया की पवित्रता में कोई सार नहीं है - न इसके मर्तबे में , न इसके धन में . . is purānī duniyā kī|key pavitratā mē̃ kōī sār nahī̃ hai - na iskē martabē mē̃ , na iskē dhan mē̃ . . yah[pn.sg.o.] purānā[adj.ā=>ī;f.] duniyā[n.f.;sg.] kā[postp.ā=>ī;f.]|karnā[past-part.f.]|key pavitratā[n.f.;sg.] mē̃[postp.] kōī[pn.;d.] sār[n.m.;sg.,d.] nahī̃[neg] hōnā[pres.sg.23] - na[neg] yah[pn.sg.kē] martabā[n.m.ā=>ē;sg.o.,m.pl.d.] mē̃[postp.] , na[neg] yah[pn.sg.kē] dhan[n.m.;sg.,d.] mē̃[postp.] . . this old world (of|do[past-part.f.]|key) purity in some essence not be[pres.sg.23] - not this[.kē] status in , not this[.kē] wealth in . . 40सब तमोप्रधान हैं . sab tamōpradhān haĩ . sab[adj.] tamōpradhān[adj.] hōnā[pres.pl.12hon3] . all tamopradhan be[pres.pl.12hon3] .

38There is no strength in the purity of this world, neither in its status nor in its wealth; everything is tamopradhan. '

41अभी हमको अपना देश , अपना वतन बुद्धि में घूमता है . abhī hamkō apnā dēśh , apnā vatan buddhi mē̃ ghūmtā hai . ab[adv.hī] ham[pn.pl.kō] apnā[pn.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.]|apnānā[root] dēśh[n.m.;sg.,d.] , apnā[pn.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.]|apnānā[root] vatan[n.m.;sg.,d.] buddhi[n.f.;sg.] mē̃[postp.] ghūmnā[pres.sg.m.23] . now we[.kō] (one’s own|adopt[root]) land , (one’s own|adopt[root]) world intellect in walk around[pres.sg.m.23] .

39We now have our land and our country spinning in our intellect.

42भल आंखों से यह दुनिया देखते हैं लेकिन इनसे बहुत दूर हैं . bhal āṅkhō̃ sē yah duniyā dēkhtē haĩ lēkin insē bahut dūr haĩ . bhal āṅkh[n.f.+ō̃;pl.o.] sē[postp.] yah[pn.sg.d.] duniyā[n.f.;sg.] dēkhnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] lēkin yah[pn.pl.sē] bahut dūr[adj.] hōnā[pres.pl.12hon3] . although eye from this world see[pres.pl.m.12hon3] but this[.sē] very distant be[pres.pl.12hon3] .

40Although we see this world with our eyes, we are very far from it.

41We now have in our eyes the world in which we have liberation and salvation.

44दुर्गति की दुनिया से किनारा कर बुद्धि उसमें लगा दी है . durgati kī|key duniyā sē kinārā kar buddhi usmē̃ lagā dī hai . durgati[n.f.ī=>ī;sg.] kā[postp.ā=>ī;f.]|karnā[past-part.f.]|key duniyā[n.f.;sg.] sē[postp.] kinārā[n.m.ā=>ā;sg.d.] karnā[root] buddhi[n.f.;sg.] vah[pn.sg.mē̃] lagnā[pres-perf.sg.f.23.past-part+dēnā]|lagānā[pres-perf.sg.f.23.root+dēnā] . degradation (of|do[past-part.f.]|key) world from x do[root] intellect that[.mē̃] (x[pres-perf.sg.f.23.past-part+dēnā]|attach[pres-perf.sg.f.23.root+dēnā]) .

42We have moved away from the world of degradation and settled our intellect in that world.

45ऐसे न समझो कि यह कल्पना है , आंखों से नहीं देखते हैं . aisē na samjhō ki yah kalpanā hai , āṅkhō̃ sē nahī̃ dēkhtē haĩ . aisā[adj.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] na[neg] samajhnā[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2] ki[conj.] yah[pn.sg.d.] kalpanā[n.f.;sg.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] , āṅkh[n.f.+ō̃;pl.o.] sē[postp.] nahī̃[neg] dēkhnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] . such not understand[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2] that this imagination be[pres.sg.23] , eye from not see[pres.pl.m.12hon3] .

43Do not think that this is imagination just because we cannot see it with our eyes.

46लेकिन इसमें संशय नहीं होना चाहिए . lēkin ismē̃ sanśhay nahī̃ hōnā chāhiē . lēkin yah[pn.sg.mē̃] sanśhay[n.m.;sg.,d.] nahī̃[neg] hōnā[imp.pl.2hon.inf+cāhnā]|hōnā[.oblig3] . but this[.mē̃] doubt not (be[imp.pl.2hon.inf+cāhnā]|be[.oblig3]) .

44There should be no doubt about this.

45When it happens it will become real.

46It is no human being or cheat who is telling us this, so that there would be something wrong.

49हमारा गुरु निराकार है - यह कब भूलो मत . hamārā guru nirākār hai - yah kab bhūlō mat . ham[pn.pl.kā] gurū[n.m.;sg.,d.] nirākār[adj.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] - yah[pn.sg.d.] kab bhūlnā[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2] mat[n.m.;sg.,d.] . we[.kā] guru incorporeal be[pres.sg.23] - this when forget[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2] directions .

47Do not ever forget that our Guru is the Incorporeal One.

50जब भूलते हैं तब छोटे-छोटे संशय आते हैं . jab bhūltē haĩ tab chhōṭē-chhōṭē sanśhay ātē haĩ . jab bhūlnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] tab chhōṭā[adj.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] sanśhay[n.m.;sg.,d.] ānā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] . when forget[pres.pl.m.12hon3] for only then small doubt come[pres.pl.m.12hon3] .

48When you forget this, you develop doubts.

49If it were a question of something that could be seen with these eyes, then why would there only be a handful out of multi-millions? 50In that case everyone would be able to know.

52यही गुंजाइस है , इसमें भूलो मत . yahī guñjāis hai , ismē̃ bhūlō mat . yahī[pn.;d.] guñjāis[n.f.;sg.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] , yah[pn.sg.mē̃] bhūlnā[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2] mat[n.m.;sg.,d.] . this margin be[pres.sg.23] , this[.mē̃] forget[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2] directions .

51This is the only possibility; do not forget this.

53जो कुछ होना है वह तो होना ही है . jō kuchh hōnā hai vah tō hōnā hī hai . jō kuchh[x] hōnā[pres.sg.23.oblig1] vah[pn.sg.d.] tō hōnā[inf.m.sg.d.] hī[p.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] . whatever be[pres.sg.23.oblig1] that then be[inf.m.sg.d.] only be[pres.sg.23] .

52Whatever has to happen will happen.

54बनाने का समय अब है . banānē kā samay ab hai . banānā[inf.m.pl.,o.] kā[postp.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] samay[n.m.;sg.,d.] ab[adv.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] . create[inf.m.pl.,o.] of time now be[pres.sg.23] .

53The time for action is now.

54Now there isn't. enough time for someone to die and then come back and take knowledge.

55Little children cannot take knowledge.

57इसलिए ही कहते हैं कि यह तुम्हारा अन्तिम जन्म है . isliē hī kahtē haĩ ki yah tumhārā antim janm hai . isliē hī[p.] kahnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] ki[conj.] yah[pn.sg.d.] tum[pn.pl.kā] antim[adj.] janm[n.m.;sg.,d.]|janamnā[root] hōnā[pres.sg.23] . therefore only say[pres.pl.m.12hon3] that this you[.kā] final (life|be born[root]) be[pres.sg.23] .

56This is why it is said that this is your final birth.
