10All other human beings are orphans.

17Although people say they want peace, they don’t know what peace is or where they can find it. 18Can peace be found by going into a forest?
16सुख-शान्ति कब और कौन देते , तीर्थो पर किसलिए जाते ? sukh-śhānti kab aur kaun dētē , tīrthō par kisliē jātē ? sukh-śhānti[n.m.;sg.,d.] kab aur kaun[pn.;d.] dēnā[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] , tīrth[n.m.+ō̃;pl.o.] par[postp.]|par[adj.] kisliē jānā[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] ? happiness and peace when and who give[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] , pilgrimage place (at|other) x go[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] ?
19Who gives peace and happiness and when? 20What do people go on pilgrimages for?
17यह भी कोई जानता नहीं . yah bhī kōī jāntā nahī̃ . yah[pn.sg.d.] bhī[p.] kōī[pn.;d.] jānnā[pres-part.m.sg.d.] nahī̃[neg] . this too some know[pres-part.m.sg.d.] not .
21No one knows these things.
18सिर्फ सुना है कि भक्ति करने से भगवान मिलेगा . sirph sunā hai ki bhakti karnē sē bhagvān milēgā . sirph[adj.] sunnā[pres-perf.sg.m.23] ki[conj.] bhakti[n.f.;sg.] karnā[inf.m.pl.,o.] sē[postp.] bhagvān[n.m.;sg.,d.] milnā[fut.m.sg.23] . only listen[pres-perf.sg.m.23] that devotion do[inf.m.pl.,o.] from God receive[fut.m.sg.23] . 19जानते भगवान को भी नहीं . jāntē bhagvān kō bhī nahī̃ . jānnā[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] bhagvān[n.m.;sg.,d.] kō[postp.] bhī[p.] nahī̃[neg] . know[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] God to too not .
22They have just heard that they can find God by performing devotion, but they don’t even know God.
20बाप कहते हैं मैं आकर तुम बच्चों को सुख-शान्ति देता हूँ . bāp kahtē haĩ maĩ ākar tum bachchō̃ kō sukh-śhānti dētā hū̃ . bāp kahtē haĩ[x] maĩ[pn.sg.d.] ānā[abs.] tum[pn.pl.] bachchā[n.m.ā=>ō̃;pl.o.] kō[postp.] sukh-śhānti[n.m.;sg.,d.] dēnā[pres.sg.m.1] . the Father says I come[abs.] you child to happiness and peace give[pres.sg.m.1] .
23The Father says: I come and give you children peace and happiness.
21अब सुख-शान्ति , सम्पत्ति किसके पास नहीं है . ab sukh-śhānti , sampatti kiskē pās|pass nahī̃ hai . ab[adv.] sukh-śhānti[n.m.;sg.,d.] , sampatti[n.f.ī=>ī;sg.] kaun[pn.sg.kē] pās|pass nahī̃[neg] hōnā[pres.sg.23] . now happiness and peace , wealth who[.kē] (x|pass) not be[pres.sg.23] .
24At this time, no one has peace, happiness or prosperity.
22देने वाले को भी कोई जानता नहीं . dēnē vālē kō bhī kōī jāntā nahī̃ . dēnā[inf.m.pl.,o.] vālā[adj.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] kō[postp.] bhī[p.] kōī[pn.;d.] jānnā[pres-part.m.sg.d.] nahī̃[neg] . give[inf.m.pl.,o.] those who to too some know[pres-part.m.sg.d.] not .
25No one even knows the One who gives it.

27Gandhiji also used to call out: O Purifier, come and purify us!
25गाते हैं पतित-पावन सीताराम , परन्तु अर्थ का पता नहीं . gātē haĩ patit-pāvan sītārām , parantu arth|earth kā patā nahī̃ . gānā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] patit pāvan[n.m.;sg.,d.] sītārām[n.m.;sg.,d.] , parantu[conj.] arth[n.m.;sg.,d.]|earth kā[postp.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] patā[n.m.ā=>ā;sg.d.] nahī̃[neg] . sing[pres.pl.m.12hon3] Purifier x , however (meaning|earth) of knowledge not .
28They sing, “Rama who belongs to Sita is the Purifier”, but they don’t understand its meaning.
26भक्ति क्यों करते , उससे क्या मिलेगा . bhakti kyō̃ kartē , ussē kyā milēgā . bhakti[n.f.;sg.] kyō̃ karnā[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] , vah[pn.sg.sē] kyā milnā[fut.m.sg.23] . devotion why do[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] , that[.sē] what receive[fut.m.sg.23] . 27कुछ भी जानते नहीं . kuchh bhī jāntē nahī̃ . kuchh bhī[x] jānnā[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] nahī̃[neg] . anything know[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] not .
29They don’t know anything at all about why they perform devotion or what they receive by doing it.

32People don’t know what Ravan is or how much longer they will continue to burn an effigy of Ravan.

39No one knows how they received their kingdom or where the kingdom went afterwards; no one knows the beginning, middle or end of creation.
40तुम इस नॉलेज से स्वर्ग के मालिक बनते हो . tum is knowledge sē svarg K|kē mālik bantē hō . tum[pn.pl.] yah[pn.sg.o.] knowledge sē[postp.] svarg[n.m.;sg.,d.] K|kā[postp.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] mālik[n.m.;sg.,d.] bannā[pres.pl.m.2] . you this knowledge from heaven (K|of) master become[pres.pl.m.2] .
40You become the masters of heaven through this knowledge.
41स्कूल में पढ़ाई से कोई वकील , जज बनते हैं , लक्ष्मी-नारायण नहीं . school mē̃ paṛhāī sē kōī vakīl , judge bantē haĩ , lakṣhmī-nārāyaṇ nahī̃ . school mē̃[postp.] paṛhāī[n.f.ī=>ī;sg.]|paṛhānā[past-part.f.] sē[postp.] kōī[pn.;d.] vakīl[n.f.;sg.] , judge bannā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] , lakṣhmī-nārāyaṇ[n.m.;sg.,d.] nahī̃[neg] . school in (study|teach[past-part.f.]) from some lawyer , judge become[pres.pl.m.12hon3] , Lakshmi and Narayan not .
41By studying at school, students become judges or barristers; they don’t become Lakshmi or Narayan.
42यह किस पढ़ाई से पद पाया ! yah kis paṛhāī sē pad pāyā ! yah[pn.sg.d.] kaun[pn.sg.o.]|kyā[pn.sg.o.] paṛhāī[n.f.ī=>ī;sg.]|paṛhānā[past-part.f.] sē[postp.] pad[n.m.;sg.,d.] pāyā[n.m.ā=>ā;sg.d.]|pānā[past-part.m.sg.d.] ! this (who|what) (study|teach[past-part.f.]) from status (x|x[past-part.m.sg.d.]) ! 43यह किसको पता नहीं . yah kiskō patā nahī̃ . yah[pn.sg.d.] kaun[pn.sg.kō] patā[n.m.ā=>ā;sg.d.] nahī̃[neg] . this who[.kō] knowledge not .
42No one knows through which study they claimed their status.
