46No one in the golden age teaches you to consider yourselves to be souls.

42शरीर पर नाम तो पड़ता ही है . śharīr par nām tō paṛtā hī hai . śharīr[n.m.;sg.,d.] par[postp.]|par[adj.] nām[n.m.;sg.,d.] tō paṛnā[pres-part.m.sg.d.] hī[p.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] . body (at|other) name then fall[pres-part.m.sg.d.] only be[pres.sg.23] .

47Names are always given to bodies.

43नहीं तो एक-दो को बुलावें कैसे . nahī̃ tō ēk-dō kō bulāvē̃ kaisē . nahī̃ tō[x] ēk-dō kō[postp.] bulānā[opt.pl.12hon3] kaisā[adj.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] . otherwise one another to call[opt.pl.12hon3] how .

48Otherwise, what would you call one another?

44यहाँ तुमने बाप से जो वर्सा पाया है वही प्रालब्ध वहाँ पाते हो . yahā̃ tumnē bāp sē jō varsā pāyā hai vahī prālabdh vahā̃ pātē hō . yahā̃ tum[pn.pl.nē] bāp[n.m.;sg.,d.] sē[postp.] jō[pn.;d.] varsā[n.m.ā=>ā;sg.d.] pānā[pres-perf.sg.m.23] vahī prālabdh[n.f.;sg.] vahā̃ pānā[pres.pl.m.2] . here you[.nē] father from that inheritance x[pres-perf.sg.m.23] this reward there x[pres.pl.m.2] .

49The inheritance you received from the Father here is received as a reward there.

45बाकी बुलायेंगे तो नाम से ना . bākī bulāyēṅgē tō nām sē nā . bākī|bākī bulānā[fut.m.pl.12hon3] tō nām[n.m.;sg.,d.] sē[postp.] nā . (but|others) call[fut.m.pl.12hon3] then name from ∅ .

50However, you would still call one another by your names.

46श्रीकृष्ण भी शरीर का नाम है ना . śhrīkr̥iṣhṇa bhī śharīr kā nām hai nā . śhrīkr̥iṣhṇa[n.m.;sg.,d.] bhī[p.] śharīr[n.m.;sg.,d.] kā[postp.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] nām[n.m.;sg.,d.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] nā . Shri Krishna too body of name be[pres.sg.23] ∅ .

51Shri Krishna too is the name of a body.

47नाम बिगर तो कारोबार आदि चल न सके . nām bigar tō kārōbār ādi chal na sakē . nām[n.m.;sg.,d.] bigar tō kārōbār[n.m.;sg.,d.] ādi[adj.] chalnā[root] na[neg] saknā[past-part.m.pl.,o.]|saknā[opt.sg.23] . name without then x etc. continue[root] not (can[past-part.m.pl.,o.]|can[opt.sg.23]) .

52Activities cannot continue without names.

48ऐसे नहीं कि वहाँ यह कहेंगे कि अपने को आत्मा समझो . aisē nahī̃ ki vahā̃ yah kahē̃gē ki apnē kō ātmā samjhō . aisē nahī̃[x] ki[conj.] vahā̃ yah[pn.sg.d.] kahnā[fut.m.pl.12hon3] ki[conj.] apnā[pn.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] kō[postp.] ātmā[n.f.;sg.] samajhnā[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2] . it isn't that that there this say[fut.m.pl.12hon3] that one’s own to soul understand[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2] .

53It isn't that anyone there would say: Consider yourself to be a soul.

49वहाँ तो आत्म-अभिमानी रहते ही हैं . vahā̃ tō ātma-abhimānī rahtē hī haĩ . vahā̃ tō ātma-abhimānī[adj.] rahnā[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] hī[p.] hōnā[pres.pl.12hon3] . there then soul conscious remain[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] only be[pres.pl.12hon3] .

54There, everyone remains soul conscious.

50यह प्रैक्टिस तुमको अभी कराई जाती है क्योंकि पाप बहुत चढ़े हुए हैं . yah practice tumkō abhī karāī jātī hai kyōṅki pāp bahut chaṛhē huē haĩ . yah[pn.sg.d.] practice tum[pn.pl.kō] ab[adv.hī] karānā[pres.sg.f.23.past-part+jānā]|karānā[pres.sg.f.23.passive] kyōṅki pāp[n.m.;sg.,d.] bahut chaṛhnā[opt.sg.23]|chaṛhnā[past-part.m.pl.,o.] hōnā[pres-perf.pl.m.12hon3] . this practice you[.kō] now (make commit[pres.sg.f.23.past-part+jānā]|make commit[pres.sg.f.23.passive]) because x very (climb[opt.sg.23]|climb[past-part.m.pl.,o.]) be[pres-perf.pl.m.12hon3] .

55You are inspired to practise this at this time because a lot of sin has accumulated.

51आहिस्ते-आहिस्ते थोड़ा-थोड़ा पाप चढ़ते-चढ़ते अभी फुल पाप आत्मा बन पड़े हो . āhistē-āhistē thōṛā-thōṛā pāp chaṛhtē-chaṛhtē abhī full pāp ātmā ban paṛē hō . āhistē thōṛā[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] pāp[n.m.;sg.,d.] chaṛhnā[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] ab[adv.hī] full pāp ātmā[x] bannā[pres-perf.pl.m.2.root+paṛnā] . gradually short x climb[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] now full sinful soul become[pres-perf.pl.m.2.root+paṛnā] .

56Sins have gradually accumulated little by little and you have now become full sinful souls.

52आधाकल्प के लिए जो कुछ किया वह खलास भी तो होगा ना . ādhākalp kē liē jō kuchh kiyā vah khalās bhī tō hōgā nā . ādhākalp[n.m.;sg.,d.] kē liē[x] jō kuchh[x] karnā[past-part.m.sg.d.] vah[pn.sg.d.] khalās[n.m.;sg.,d.] bhī[p.] tō hōnā[fut.m.sg.23] nā . for half a cycle for whatever do[past-part.m.sg.d.] that x too then be[fut.m.sg.23] ∅ .

57Whatever you have been doing for half of this cycle has to end.

53आहिस्ते-आहिस्ते कम होता जाता है . āhistē-āhistē kam hōtā jātā hai . āhistē kam hōnā[pres.sg.m.23.pres-part+jānā] . gradually decrease .

58Gradually, that will continue to decrease.

54सतयुग में तुम सतोप्रधान हो , त्रेता में सतो बन जाते हो . satyug mē̃ tum satōpradhān hō , trētā mē̃ satō ban jātē hō . satyug[n.m.;sg.,d.] mē̃[postp.] tum[pn.pl.] satōpradhān[adj.] hōnā[root]|hōnā[pres.pl.2] , trētā[n.f.;sg.] mē̃[postp.] satō, satōguṇ bannā[pres.pl.m.2.root+jānā] . golden age in you satopradhan (be[root]|be[pres.pl.2]) , silver age in sato become[pres.pl.m.2.root+jānā] .

59In the golden age, you are satopradhan. 60In the silver age, you become sato.

55वर्सा अभी मिलता है . varsā abhī miltā hai . varsā[n.m.ā=>ā;sg.d.] ab[adv.hī] milnā[pres.sg.m.23] . inheritance now receive[pres.sg.m.23] .

61It is now that you receive the inheritance.

56अपने को आत्मा समझ बाप को याद करने से ही वर्सा मिलता है . apnē kō ātmā samajh bāp kō yād karnē sē hī varsā miltā hai . apnā[pn.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] kō[postp.] ātmā[n.f.;sg.] samajh[n.f.;sg.]|samajhnā[root] bāp[n.m.;sg.,d.] kō[postp.] yād[n.f.;sg.] karnā[inf.m.pl.,o.] sē[postp.] hī[p.] varsā[n.m.ā=>ā;sg.d.] milnā[pres.sg.m.23] . one’s own to soul (understanding|understand[root]) father to remembrance do[inf.m.pl.,o.] from only inheritance receive[pres.sg.m.23] .

62Only by considering yourselves to be souls and remembering the Father do you receive the inheritance.

57यह देही-अभिमानी बनने की शिक्षा बाप अभी देते हैं . yah dēhī-abhimānī bannē kī|key śhikṣhā bāp abhī dētē haĩ . yah[pn.sg.d.] dēhī-abhimānī[adj.] bannā[inf.m.pl.,o.] karnā[past-part.f.]|kā[postp.ā=>ī;f.]|key śhikṣhā[n.f.;sg.] bāp[n.m.;sg.,d.] ab[adv.hī] dēnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] . this soul conscious become[inf.m.pl.,o.] (do[past-part.f.]|of|key) teachings father now give[pres.pl.m.12hon3] .

63It is at this time that the Father gives you the teachings to become soul conscious.

58सतयुग में यह शिक्षा नहीं मिलती . satyug mē̃ yah śhikṣhā nahī̃ miltī . satyug[n.m.;sg.,d.] mē̃[postp.] yah[pn.sg.d.] śhikṣhā[n.f.;sg.] nahī̃[neg] milnā[pres-part.f.] . golden age in this teachings not receive[pres-part.f.] .

64You don't receive these teachings in the golden age.

59अपने-अपने नाम पर ही चलते हैं . apnē-apnē nām par hī chaltē haĩ . apnā[pn.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] nām[n.m.;sg.,d.] par[postp.]|par[adj.] hī[p.] chalnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] . one’s own name (at|other) only continue[pres.pl.m.12hon3] .

65Each one continues to move along as per his or her own name.

60यहाँ तुम हर एक को याद के बल से पाप आत्मा से पुण्य आत्मा बनना है . yahā̃ tum har ēk kō yād kē|K bal sē pāp ātmā sē puṇya ātmā bannā hai . yahā̃ tum[pn.pl.] har ēk[x] kō[postp.] yād[n.f.;sg.] kā[postp.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.]|K bal[n.m.;sg.,d.] sē[postp.] pāp ātmā[x] sē[postp.] puṇya[n.m.;sg.,d.] ātmā[n.f.;sg.] bannā[pres.sg.23.oblig1] . here you each one to remembrance (of|K) strength from sinful soul from charity soul become[pres.sg.23.oblig1] .

66Here, each one of you has to become a pure and charitable soul from a sinful soul with the power of yoga.

61सतयुग में इस शिक्षा की दरकार ही नहीं . satyug mē̃ is śhikṣhā kī|key darkār hī nahī̃ . satyug[n.m.;sg.,d.] mē̃[postp.] yah[pn.sg.o.] śhikṣhā[n.f.;sg.] karnā[past-part.f.]|kā[postp.ā=>ī;f.]|key darkār[n.f.;sg.] hī[p.] nahī̃[neg] . golden age in this teachings (do[past-part.f.]|of|key) need only not . 62न तुम यह शिक्षा वहाँ ले जाते हो . na tum yah śhikṣhā vahā̃ lē jātē hō . na[neg] tum[pn.pl.] yah[pn.sg.d.] śhikṣhā[n.f.;sg.] vahā̃ lē jānā[pres.pl.m.2] . not you this teachings there carry .

67Neither is there any need for this knowledge in the golden age nor do you carry these teachings there.

63वहाँ न यह ज्ञान , न योग ले जाते हो . vahā̃ na yah gyān , na yōg lē jātē hō . vahā̃ na[neg] yah[pn.sg.d.] gyān[n.m.;sg.,d.] , na[neg] yōg[n.m.;sg.,d.] lē jānā[pres.pl.m.2] . there not this knowledge , not yoga carry .

68You neither carry this knowledge nor this yoga there.

64तुमको पतित से पावन अभी ही बनना है . tumkō patit sē pāvan abhī hī bannā hai . tum[pn.pl.kō] patit[adj.] sē[postp.] pāvan[adj.] ab[adv.hī] hī[p.] bannā[pres.sg.23.oblig1] . you[.kō] impure from pure now only become[pres.sg.23.oblig1] .

69It is only at this time that you have to become pure from sinful.

65फिर आहिस्ते-आहिस्ते कला कम होती है . phir āhistē-āhistē kalā kam hōtī hai . phirnā[root]|phir[adv.] āhistē kalā[n.f.;sg.] kam hōnā[pres.sg.f.23] . 70Then, your degrees gradually decrease, just as the degrees of the moon decrease until there is just a line left.

67तो इसमें मूँझो नहीं . tō ismē̃ mūnjhō nahī̃ . tō yah[pn.sg.mē̃] mūnjhnā[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2] nahī̃[neg] . then this[.mē̃] be confused[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2] not .

71So, do not be confused about this.

68कुछ भी न समझो तो पूछो . kuchh bhī na samjhō tō pūchhō . kuchh bhī[x] na[neg] samajhnā[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2] tō pūchhnā[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2] . anything not understand[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2] then ask[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2] .

72If you don't understand something, you can ask.

69पहले तो यह पक्का निश्चय करो कि हम आत्मा हैं . pahlē tō yah pakkā niśhchay karō ki ham ātmā haĩ . pahlā[adj.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.]|pahlē[adv.] tō yah[pn.sg.d.] pakkā[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] niśhchay karnā[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2] ki[conj.] ham ātmā haĩ[x] . (x|firstly) then this firm have the faith that I am a soul .

73First of all, have the firm faith that you are souls.

70तुम्हारी आत्मा ही अभी तमोप्रधान बनी है . tumhārī ātmā hī abhī tamōpradhān banī hai . tum[pn.pl.kī] ātmā[n.f.;sg.] hī[p.] ab[adv.hī] tamōpradhān[adj.] bannā[pres-perf.sg.f.23] . you[.kī] soul only now tamopradhan become[pres-perf.sg.f.23] .

74You souls have now become tamopradhan.

71पहले सतोप्रधान थी फिर दिन-प्रतिदिन कला कम होती जाती है . pahlē satōpradhān thī phir din-pratidin kalā kam hōtī jātī hai . pahlā[adj.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.]|pahlē[adv.] satōpradhān[adj.] hōnā[past.f] phirnā[root]|phir[adv.] pratidin kalā[n.f.;sg.] kam hōnā[pres.sg.f.23.pres-part+jānā] . (x|firstly) satopradhan be[past.f] (turn[root]|then) day by day degree decrease .

75At first, you were satopradhan and then, day by day, your degrees continued to decrease.

72मैं आत्मा हूँ - यह पक्का न होने से ही तुम बाप को भूलते हो . maĩ ātmā hū̃ - yah pakkā na hōnē sē hī tum bāp kō bhūltē hō . maĩ ātmā hū̃[x] - yah[pn.sg.d.] pakkā[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] na[neg] hōnā[inf.m.pl.,o.] sē[postp.] hī[p.] tum[pn.pl.] bāp[n.m.;sg.,d.] kō[postp.] bhūlnā[pres.pl.m.2] . I am a soul - this firm not be[inf.m.pl.,o.] from only you father to forget[pres.pl.m.2] .

76When you don't make it firm that you are souls, you forget the Father.

73पहले-पहले मूल बात ही यह है . pahlē-pahlē mūl bāt hī yah hai . pahlā[adj.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.]|pahlē[adv.] mūl[n.m.;sg.,d.] bāt[n.f.;sg.] hī[p.] yah[pn.sg.d.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] . (x|firstly) main matter only this be[pres.sg.23] .

77This is the first and foremost thing.

155This knowledge and devotion cannot both exist at the same time, just as day and night cannot exist at the same time.

148दिन सुख को कहा जाता और रात दुःख अर्थात् भक्ति को कहा जाता है . din sukh kō kahā jātā aur rāt duḥkh arthāt bhakti kō kahā jātā hai . din[n.m.;sg.,d.] sukh[n.m.;sg.,d.] kō[postp.] kahnā[past-part.m.sg.d.] jānā[pres-part.m.sg.d.] aur rāt[n.f.;sg.] duḥkh[n.m.;sg.,d.]|duḥkhnā[root] arthāt bhakti[n.f.;sg.] kō[postp.] kahnā[pres.sg.m.23.past-part+jānā]|kahnā[pres.sg.m.23.passive] . day happiness to say[past-part.m.sg.d.] go[pres-part.m.sg.d.] and night (sorrow|hurt[root]) that is devotion to (say[pres.sg.m.23.past-part+jānā]|say[pres.sg.m.23.passive]) .

156Day refers to happiness and night refers to sorrow, that is, to devotion.

149कहते हैं प्रजापिता ब्रह्मा का दिन और फिर रात . kahtē haĩ prajāpitā brahmā kā din aur phir rāt . kahnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] prajāpitā brahmā[x] kā[postp.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] din[n.m.;sg.,d.] aur phirnā[root]|phir[adv.] rāt[n.f.;sg.] . say[pres.pl.m.12hon3] Prajapita Brahma of day and (turn[root]|then) night .

159You Brahmins understand that you experience happiness for half a cycle. 160Then, there is sorrow for half a cycle.
