10Whatever songs people compose or whatever scriptures they relate, they don’t understand anything.

11Whatever people have been reading, no one has benefited from it, but there has instead continued to be a loss.

19If you churned the ocean of knowledge on even one point, this wouldn’t happen.
18जानवरों में जितना अक्ल है , आजकल के मनुष्यों में उतना भी अक्ल नहीं . jānvarō̃ mē̃ jitnā akla hai , ājkal K|kē manuṣhyō̃ mē̃ utnā bhī akla nahī̃ . jānvar[n.m.+ō̃;pl.o.] mē̃[postp.] jitnā[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] akla[n.f.;sg.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] , ājkal K|kā[postp.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] manuṣhya[n.m.+ō̃;pl.o.] mē̃[postp.] utnā[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] bhī[p.] akla[n.f.;sg.] nahī̃[neg] . animal in the more sense be[pres.sg.23] , nowadays (K|of) human being in x too sense not .
20Human beings of today don’t even have as much sense as animals.

21Animals (cows) eat grass and then continue to chew the cud.

22You too receive food, but you then don’t chew it throughout the day.

23Cows continue to chew it throughout the day.
23यह तुमको मिलता है ज्ञान घास . yah tumkō miltā hai gyān ghās . yah[pn.sg.d.] tum[pn.pl.kō] milnā[pres.sg.m.23] gyān ghās[x] . this you[.kō] receive[pres.sg.m.23] x .
24You are receiving the grass of knowledge.
24योग और ज्ञान . yōg aur gyān . yōg[n.m.;sg.,d.] aur gyān[n.m.;sg.,d.] . yoga and knowledge .
25There is yoga and knowledge.

26Continue to churn the ocean of knowledge throughout the day.
26जिनको सर्विस का शौक नहीं , वह विचार सागर मंथन करके क्या करेंगे . jinkō service kā śhauk nahī̃ , vah vichār sāgar manthan karkē kyā karē̃gē . jō[pn.pl.kō] service[n.f.;sg.] kā[postp.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] śhauk[n.m.;sg.,d.] nahī̃[neg] , vah[pn.sg.d.] vichār sāgar manthan[x] karnā[abs.] kyā karnā[fut.m.pl.12hon3] . that[.kō] service of interest not , that x do[abs.] what do[fut.m.pl.12hon3] .
27What would those who don’t have any interest in doing service do by churning knowledge?
27शौक नहीं तो करेंगे भी नहीं . śhauk nahī̃ tō karē̃gē bhī nahī̃ . śhauk[n.m.;sg.,d.] nahī̃ tō[x] karnā[fut.m.pl.12hon3] bhī[p.] nahī̃[neg] . interest otherwise do[fut.m.pl.12hon3] too not .
28Because they don’t have that interest, they don’t do anything.
28कोई-कोई को ज्ञान धन देने का शौक रहता है . kōī-kōī kō gyān dhan dēnē kā śhauk rahtā hai . kōī[pn.;d.] kō[postp.] gyān[n.m.;sg.,d.] dhan[n.m.;sg.,d.] dēnā[inf.m.pl.,o.] kā[postp.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] śhauk[n.m.;sg.,d.] rahnā[pres.sg.m.23] . some to knowledge wealth give[inf.m.pl.,o.] of interest remain[pres.sg.m.23] .
29Some are interested in giving the wealth of knowledge.
29गऊशाला में मनुष्य जाकर गऊओं को घास आदि देते हैं . gaūśhālā mē̃ manuṣhya jākar gaūō̃ kō ghās ādi dētē haĩ . gaūśhālā[n.f.;sg.] mē̃[postp.] manuṣhya[n.m.;sg.,d.] jānā[abs.] gaū[n.m.+ō̃;pl.o.] kō[postp.] ghās[n.f.;sg.] ādi[adj.] dēnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] . x in human being go[abs.] x to x etc. give[pres.pl.m.12hon3] .
30People go and give grass to cows in a cowshed.
30वह भी पुण्य समझते हैं . vah bhī puṇya samajhtē haĩ . vah[pn.sg.d.] bhī[p.] puṇya[n.m.;sg.,d.] samajhnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] . that too charity understand[pres.pl.m.12hon3] .
31They consider that to be an act of charity.
31बाप तुमको यह ज्ञान घास खिलाते हैं . bāp tumkō yah gyān ghās khilātē haĩ . bāp[n.m.;sg.,d.] tum[pn.pl.kō] yah[pn.sg.d.] gyān ghās[x] khilānā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] . father you[.kō] this x feed[pres.pl.m.12hon3] .
32The Father is feeding you with this grass of knowledge.
32इस पर विचार सागर मंथन करते रहेंगे तो खुशी में रहेंगे और सर्विस का शौक भी होगा . is par vichār sāgar manthan kartē rahē̃gē tō khuśhī mē̃ rahē̃gē aur service kā śhauk bhī hōgā . yah[pn.sg.o.] par[postp.]|par[adj.] vichār sāgar manthan[x] karnā[fut.m.pl.12hon3.pres-part+rahnā] tō khuśhī[n.f.ī=>ī;sg.] mē̃[postp.] rahnā[fut.m.pl.12hon3] aur service[n.f.;sg.] kā[postp.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] śhauk[n.m.;sg.,d.] bhī[p.] hōnā[fut.m.sg.23] . this (at|other) x do[fut.m.pl.12hon3.pres-part+rahnā] then happiness in remain[fut.m.pl.12hon3] and service of interest too be[fut.m.sg.23] .
33If you continue to churn this, you will remain happy and also have an interest in doing service.
33कोई लोटा भर लेते हैं अथवा बूँद लेते हैं , वह भी स्वर्ग में चले जायेंगे . kōī lōṭā bhar lētē haĩ athavā bū̃d lētē haĩ , vah bhī svarg mē̃ chalē jāyēṅgē . kōī[pn.;d.] lōṭā[n.m.ā=>ā;sg.d.] bharnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3.root+lēnā] athavā būnd[x] lēnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] , vah[pn.sg.d.] bhī[p.] svarg[n.m.;sg.,d.] mē̃[postp.] chalnā[fut.m.pl.12hon3.past-part+jānā]|chalnā[fut.m.pl.12hon3.passive] . some x fill[pres.pl.m.12hon3.root+lēnā] that is drop take[pres.pl.m.12hon3] , that too heaven in (continue[fut.m.pl.12hon3.past-part+jānā]|continue[fut.m.pl.12hon3.passive]) .
34Those who take an urn or even just a drop will still be able to go to heaven.
34स्वर्ग के द्वार तो खुलने ही हैं . svarg K|kē dvār tō khulnē hī haĩ . svarg[n.m.;sg.,d.] K|kā[postp.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] dvār[n.m.;sg.,d.] tō khulnā[inf.m.pl.,o.] hī[p.] hōnā[pres.pl.12hon3] . heaven (K|of) gate then open up[inf.m.pl.,o.] only be[pres.pl.12hon3] .
35The gates to heaven are to open.
35यूँ तो ज्ञान सागर को हप करना है . yū̃ tō gyān sāgar kō hap karnā hai . yū̃ tō[x] gyān sāgar[x] kō[postp.] hap karnā[pres.sg.23.oblig1] . x Ocean of Knowledge to swallow .
36In fact, you have to swallow the ocean of knowledge.
36कोई तो सारा हप करते हैं , कोई तो बूँद लेते हैं फिर भी स्वर्ग में तो जायेंगे . kōī tō sārā hap kartē haĩ , kōī tō bū̃d lētē haĩ phir bhī svarg mē̃ tō jāyēṅgē . kōī[pn.;d.] tō sārā[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] hap karnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] , kōī[pn.;d.] tō būnd[x] lēnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] phir bhī[x] svarg[n.m.;sg.,d.] mē̃[postp.] tō jānā[fut.m.pl.12hon3] . some then the whole swallow , some then drop take[pres.pl.m.12hon3] nevertheless heaven in then go[fut.m.pl.12hon3] .
37Some swallow it completely and others come and just take a drop, but they will still definitely go to heaven.
37बाकी जितना-जितना धारणा करेंगे उतना ऊंच पद पायेंगे . bākī jitnā-jitnā dhārṇā karē̃gē utnā ūñch pad pāyēṅgē . bākī|bākī jitnā[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] dhārṇā[n.f.;sg.] karnā[fut.m.pl.12hon3] utnā[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] ūñch[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] pad[n.m.;sg.,d.] pānā[fut.m.pl.12hon3] . (others|but) the more dharna do[fut.m.pl.12hon3] x elevated status x[fut.m.pl.12hon3] .
38The more you imbibe, the higher the status you will claim.
38बाकी स्वर्ग में एक बूँद से भी चले जायेंगे . bākī svarg mē̃ ēk bū̃d sē bhī chalē jāyēṅgē . bākī|bākī svarg[n.m.;sg.,d.] mē̃[postp.] ēk[adj.] būnd[x] sē[postp.] bhī[p.] chalnā[fut.m.pl.12hon3.past-part+jānā]|chalnā[fut.m.pl.12hon3.passive] . (others|but) heaven in one drop from too (continue[fut.m.pl.12hon3.past-part+jānā]|continue[fut.m.pl.12hon3.passive]) .
39You can go to heaven with even just one drop.
39मनुष्य मरते हैं तो उनको गंगा की एक बूँद देते हैं . manuṣhya martē haĩ tō unkō gaṅgā key|kī ēk bū̃d dētē haĩ . manuṣhya[n.m.;sg.,d.] marnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] tō vah[pn.pl.kō] gaṅgā[n.f.;sg.] key|karnā[past-part.f.]|kā[postp.ā=>ī;f.] ēk[adj.] būnd[x] dēnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] . human being die[pres.pl.m.12hon3] then that[.kō] Ganges (key|do[past-part.f.]|of) one drop give[pres.pl.m.12hon3] .
40When someone is dying, they put a drop of the Ganges water in his mouth.
40कोई-कोई घर में सदैव गंगा जल ही पीते हैं . kōī-kōī ghar mē̃ sadaiv gaṅgā jal hī pītē haĩ . kōī[pn.;d.] ghar[n.m.;sg.,d.] mē̃[postp.] sadā gaṅgā[n.f.;sg.] jalnā[root]|jal[n.m.;sg.,d.] hī[p.] pīnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] . some home in constantly Ganges (x[root]|x) only drink[pres.pl.m.12hon3] .
41In some homes they drink the water of the Ganges all the time.
41कितना पीते होंगे . kitnā pītē hōṅgē . kitnā[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] pīnā[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] hōnā[fut.m.pl.12hon3] . so drink[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] be[fut.m.pl.12hon3] .
42How much would they drink?
42गंगा तो बहती रहती है . gaṅgā tō bahtī rahtī hai . gaṅgā[n.f.;sg.] tō bahnā[pres.sg.f.23.pres-part+rahnā] . Ganges then x[pres.sg.f.23.pres-part+rahnā] .
43The Ganges continues to flow all the time.
43उनको तो कोई हप कर न सके . unkō tō kōī hap kar na sakē . vah[pn.pl.kō] tō kōī[pn.;d.] hap karnā[root] na[neg] saknā[past-part.m.pl.,o.]|saknā[opt.sg.23] . that[.kō] then some swallow not (can[past-part.m.pl.,o.]|can[opt.sg.23]) .
44They can’t swallow it all!

46Those who come close to the Ocean of Knowledge and do a lot of service will be threaded in the rosary of Rudra.

73Those people renounce their homes and families and run away and yet they have no attainment.
