46अच्छा उनसे भी ऊपर देवता रहते हैं . achchhā unsē bhī ūpar dēvtā rahtē haĩ . achchhā[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] vah[pn.pl.sē] bhī[p.] ūpar dēvtā[n.f.;sg.] rahnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] . achcha that[.sē] too over deity remain[pres.pl.m.12hon3] .

46It is a very subtle element. 47OK, deities reside even beyond that.

47वह भी पोलार है . vah bhī polar hai . vah[pn.sg.d.] bhī[p.] pōlār hōnā[pres.sg.23] . that too empty space be[pres.sg.23] .

48That too is space.

ākāśh mē̃ baiṭhē haĩ . ākāśh[n.m.;sg.,d.] mē̃[postp.] baiṭhnā[pres-perf.pl.m.12hon3] . ether in sit[pres-perf.pl.m.12hon3] .

49They are sitting beyond the sky.

49फिर उनसे भी ऊपर और आकाश , उसमें भी आत्माओं के बैठने की जगह है . phir unsē bhī ūpar aur ākāśh , usmē̃ bhī ātmāō̃ K|kē baiṭhnē kī jagah hai . phir[adv.]|phirnā[root] vah[pn.pl.sē] bhī[p.] ūpar aur ākāśh[n.m.;sg.,d.] , vah[pn.sg.mē̃] bhī[p.] ātmā[n.f.+ō̃;pl.o.] K|kā[postp.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] baiṭhnā[inf.m.pl.,o.] kī jagah[x] hōnā[pres.sg.23] . (then|turn[root]) that[.sē] too over and ether , that[.mē̃] too soul (K|of) sit[inf.m.pl.,o.] x be[pres.sg.23] .

50Beyond that is another sky. 51That too is a place for souls to sit.

50वह भी आकाश है , जिसको ब्रह्म तत्व कहते हैं . vah bhī ākāśh hai , jiskō brahm tatva kahtē haĩ . vah[pn.sg.d.] bhī[p.] ākāśh[n.m.;sg.,d.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] , jō[pn.sg.kō] brahm tatva[x] kahnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] . that too ether be[pres.sg.23] , that[.kō] brahm element say[pres.pl.m.12hon3] .

52That sky is called the brahm element.

, sūkṣhma[adj.] , mūl[n.m.;sg.,d.] . this x element be[pres.pl.12hon3] - physical , subtle , main .

53There are the three elements: Corporeal, subtle and incorporeal.

ātmāyē̃ tō jarūr polar mē̃ rahē̃gī nā . ātmā[n.f.+ē̃;pl.d.] tō zarūr pōlār mē̃[postp.] rahnā[fut.f.pl.12hon3] nā . soul then definitely empty space in remain[fut.f.pl.12hon3] ∅ .

54Souls would definitely reside in a space.

ākāśh[n.m.;sg.,d.] hōnā[past-part.m.pl.,o..root+jānā] . then x ether be[past-part.m.pl.,o..root+jānā] .

55Therefore, there are three skies.

54इस आकाश में खेल होता है तो जरूर रोशनी चाहिए . is ākāśh mē̃ khēl hōtā hai tō jarūr rōśhnī chāhiē . yah[pn.sg.o.] ākāśh[n.m.;sg.,d.] mē̃[postp.] khēlnā[root]|khēl[n.m.;sg.,d.] hōnā[pres.sg.m.23] tō zarūr rōśhnī[n.f.ī=>ī;sg.] chāhiē|chāhnā[imp.pl.2hon] . this ether in (play[root]|play) be[pres.sg.m.23] then definitely light (should|x[imp.pl.2hon]) .

56The play takes place under this sky and so light is needed.

, vah[pn.sg.kō] brahm tatva[x] kahnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] . soul world in (play[root]|play) not be[pres-part.m.sg.d.] , that[.kō] brahm element say[pres.pl.m.12hon3] .

57There is not a play in the incorporeal world.

56वहाँ आत्मायें निवास करती हैं . vahā̃ ātmāyē̃ nivās kartī haĩ . vahā̃ ātmā[n.f.+ē̃;pl.d.] nivās[n.m.;sg.,d.] karnā[pres.pl.f.12hon3] . there soul x do[pres.pl.f.12hon3] .

58That is called the element of brahm, where souls reside.

57वह है ऊंच ते ऊंच तीन लोक अर्थात् तीन मंजिल हैं दुनिया की . vah hai ūñch tē ūñch tīn lōk arthāt tīn mañjil haĩ duniyā key|kī . vah[pn.sg.d.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] ūñch tē ūñch[x] tīn[adj.] lōk[n.m.;sg.,d.] arthāt tīn[adj.] mañzil[n.f.;sg.] hōnā[pres.pl.12hon3] duniyā[n.f.;sg.] key|karnā[past-part.f.]|kā[postp.ā=>ī;f.] . that be[pres.sg.23] highest-on-high x x that is x destination be[pres.pl.12hon3] world (key|do[past-part.f.]|of) .

59That is the highest of all. 60There are three worlds, that is, three storeys of the world.

58ऐसे नहीं सागर के नीचे कोई लोक है . aisē nahī̃ sāgar kē nīchē kōī lōk hai . aisē nahī̃[x] sāgar[n.m.;sg.,d.] kē nīchē[x] kōī[pn.;d.] lōk[n.m.;sg.,d.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] . it isn't that ocean under some x be[pres.sg.23] .

61It isn't that there is another world below the sea.

ṭhaharnā[pres.sg.m.23] . (water|x[inf.f.]) under nevertheless adopt[pres.sg.f.23] , that (at|other) (water|x[inf.f.]) stay[pres.sg.m.23] .

62There is just earth below the water. 63The water stays on top of that.

60तो यह हैं तीन लोक . tō yah haĩ tīn lōk . tō yah[pn.sg.d.] hōnā[pres.pl.12hon3] tīn[adj.] lōk[n.m.;sg.,d.] . then this be[pres.pl.12hon3] x x .

64These are the three worlds.

61साइलेन्स , मूवी और टॉकी . silence , movie aur talkie . silence , movie aur talkie . silence , silent movie and film with sound .

65Silence, movie, talkie.

62यह शिवबाबा बैठ समझाते हैं . yah śhivbābā baiṭh samjhātē haĩ . yah[pn.sg.d.] śhivbābā baiṭhnā[root] samjhānā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] . this Shiv Baba sit[root] explain[pres.pl.m.12hon3] .

66Shiv Baba sits here and explains these things.

āṅkh[n.f.+ē̃;pl.d.] band[adj.] karnā[root] yād karnā[pres.sg.23.oblig1]  ? what Shiv Baba to eye closed do[root] remember  ?

67Do you have to have your eyes closed in order to remember Shiv Baba?

64नहीं . nahī̃ . nahī̃[neg] . not .

68No.

65दूसरे लोग आंखे क्यों बन्द करते हैं  ? dūsrē lōg āṅkhē kyō̃ band kartē haĩ  ? dūsrā[adj.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] log[n.m.;sg.,d.] āṅkh[n.f.+ē̃;pl.d.] kyō̃ band[adj.] karnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3]  ? other people eye why closed do[pres.pl.m.12hon3]  ?

69Why do other people close their eyes? 70Because their eyes deceive them.

66क्योंकि आंखे धोखा देती हैं . kyōṅki āṅkhē dhōkhā dētī haĩ . kyōṅki āṅkh[n.f.+ē̃;pl.d.] dhōkhā[n.m.ā=>ā;sg.d.] dēnā[pres.pl.f.12hon3] . because eye deception give[pres.pl.f.12hon3] .

71People say that God is beyond name and form.

67मनुष्य खुद कह देते हैं परमात्मा नाम-रूप से न्यारा है . manuṣhya khud kah dētē haĩ paramātmā nām-rūp sē nyārā hai . manuṣhya[n.m.;sg.,d.] khud kahnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3.root+dēnā] paramātmā[n.m.;sg.,d.] nām rūp[n.m.;sg.,d.] sē[postp.] nyārā[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] . human being oneself say[pres.pl.m.12hon3.root+dēnā] Supreme Soul name and form from unique be[pres.sg.23] . 68फिर कहते हैं पत्थर भित्तर सबमें हैं . phir kahtē haĩ patthar bhittar sabmē̃ haĩ . phir[adv.]|phirnā[root] kahnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] patthar[adj.] bhittar[n.m.;sg.,d.] sabmē̃ hōnā[pres.pl.12hon3] . (then|turn[root]) say[pres.pl.m.12hon3] stone x x be[pres.pl.12hon3] . 6924 अवतार हैं . 24 avatār haĩ . 24 avatār[x] hōnā[pres.pl.12hon3] . 24 incarnation be[pres.pl.12hon3] . 70कच्छ मच्छ अवतार है . kachchh machchh avatār hai . kachchh machchh[x] avatār[x] hōnā[pres.sg.23] . fish and alligator incarnation be[pres.sg.23] .

72They then say that He is in the pebbles and stones and in everything, that He takes 24 incarnations and that He incarnates as a fish and a crocodile.

. x be[pres.sg.23] all of falsehood only of falsehood .

73In fact, all of that is nothing but lies.

72ईश्वर को सर्वव्यापी कह कितना रोला कर दिया है . īśhvar kō sarvavyāpī kah kitnā rōlā kar diyā hai . īśhvar[n.m.;sg.,d.] kō[postp.] sarvavyāpī, sarvavyāpak[adj.] kahnā[root] kitnā[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] rōlā[n.m.ā=>ā;sg.d.] karnā[pres-perf.sg.m.23.root+dēnā] . God to omnipresent say[root] so problem do[pres-perf.sg.m.23.root+dēnā] .

74By saying that God is omnipresent, they have created so much confusion.

73भक्ति मार्ग है ही धक्का खाने का मार्ग . bhakti mārg hai hī dhakkā khānē kā mārg . bhakti mārg[x] hōnā[pres.sg.23] hī[p.] dhakkā[n.m.ā=>ā;sg.d.] khānā[inf.m.pl.,o.]|khānā[n.m.ā=>ē;sg.o.,m.pl.d.] kā[postp.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] mārg[n.m.;sg.,d.] . path of devotion be[pres.sg.23] only x (eat[inf.m.pl.,o.]|eat[n.m.ā=>ē;sg.o.,m.pl.d.]) of path .

75The path of devotion is the path for stumbling.

74मुझे भी पूरे धक्के खिलाते हैं . mujhē bhī pūrē dhakkē khilātē haĩ . maĩ[pn.sg.kō] bhī[p.] pūrā[adj.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] dhakkā[n.m.ā=>ē;sg.o.,m.pl.d.] khilānā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] . I[.kō] too full x feed[pres.pl.m.12hon3] .

76They even make Me stumble around so much.

75अब भक्त भगवान को याद करते हैं कि हमको भक्ति से , धक्कों से बचाओ . ab bhakta bhagvān kō yād kartē haĩ ki hamkō bhakti sē , dhakkō̃ sē bachāō . ab[adv.] bhakt[n.m.;sg.,d.] bhagvān[n.m.;sg.,d.] kō[postp.] yād karnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] ki[conj.] ham[pn.pl.kō] bhakti[n.f.;sg.] sē[postp.] , dhakkā[n.m.ā=>ō̃;pl.o.] sē[postp.] bachānā[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2] . now devotee God to remember that we[.kō] devotion from , x from save[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2] .

77Devotees now remember God in order to become free from devotion and from stumbling around.

. when here come[abs.] receive[pres.pl.m.12hon3] then say[pres.pl.m.12hon3] Baba we[.nē] you[.kō] very discover[past-part.m.sg.d.] .

78When they come here and meet Him, they say: Baba, I have searched for You a great deal.

77बहुत धक्के खाये परन्तु आप मिले नहीं . bahut dhakkē khāyē parantu āp milē nahī̃ . bahut dhakkā[n.m.ā=>ē;sg.o.,m.pl.d.] khānā[past-part.m.pl.,o.] parantu[conj.] āp[pn.pl.] milnā[past-part.m.pl.,o.]|milnā[opt.sg.23] nahī̃[neg] . very x eat[past-part.m.pl.,o.] however you (receive[past-part.m.pl.,o.]|receive[opt.sg.23]) not .

79I have stumbled around a great deal, but I didn't find You.

78अरे कब से धक्के खाये  ? arē kab sē dhakkē khāyē  ? arē kab sē[postp.] dhakkā[n.m.ā=>ē;sg.o.,m.pl.d.] khānā[past-part.m.pl.,o.]  ? Oh! when from x eat[past-part.m.pl.,o.]  ?

80Since when have you been stumbling around?

79बाबा यह पता नहीं . bābā yah patā nahī̃ . bābā yah[pn.sg.d.] patā[n.m.ā=>ā;sg.d.] nahī̃[neg] . Baba this knowledge not .

81Baba, I don't know this.

80अब बाप समझाते हैं ज्ञान से ही सद्गति होती है . ab bāp samjhātē haĩ gyān sē hī sadgati hōtī hai . ab[adv.] bāp[n.m.;sg.,d.] samjhānā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] gyān[n.m.;sg.,d.] sē[postp.] hī[p.] sadgati[n.f.;sg.] hōnā[pres.sg.f.23] . now father explain[pres.pl.m.12hon3] knowledge from only salvation be[pres.sg.f.23] .

82The Father now explains that it is only through knowledge that there can be salvation.

81मनुष्य कुम्भ के मेले पर धक्के खाने जाते हैं . manuṣhya kumbha K|kē mēlē par dhakkē khānē jātē haĩ . manuṣhya[n.m.;sg.,d.] kumbh[x] K|kā[postp.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] mēlā[x] par[postp.]|par[adj.] dhakkā[n.m.ā=>ē;sg.o.,m.pl.d.] khānā[inf.m.pl.,o.]|khānā[n.m.ā=>ē;sg.o.,m.pl.d.] jānā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] . human being kumbh (K|of) fair (at|other) x (eat[inf.m.pl.,o.]|eat[n.m.ā=>ē;sg.o.,m.pl.d.]) go[pres.pl.m.12hon3] .

83People go to the Kumbha mela to stumble around.

82जहाँ भी पानी होगा वहाँ जाकर स्नान करेंगे . jahā̃ bhī pānī hōgā vahā̃ jākar snān karē̃gē . jahā̃ bhī[p.] pānā[fut.m.sg.23.oblig1] vahā̃ jānā[abs.] snān[n.m.;sg.,d.] karnā[fut.m.pl.12hon3] . where there too x[fut.m.sg.23.oblig1] there go[abs.] bathing do[fut.m.pl.12hon3] .

83कुम्भ अर्थात् संगम . kumbha arthāt saṅgam . kumbh[x] arthāt saṅgam[n.m.;sg.,d.] . kumbh that is confluence .

85“Kumbha” means a meeting.

86In fact, it is the meeting of souls with the Supreme Soul, but on the path of devotion they have made it into a meeting of the ocean and the river.

86देश-देशान्तर मेला लगता है . dēśh-dēśhāntar mēlā lagtā hai . dēśh-dēśhāntar[n.m.;sg.,d.] mēlā[x] lagnā[pres.sg.m.23] . x fair x[pres.sg.m.23] .

Triveni in go[pres.pl.m.12hon3] , understand[pres.pl.m.12hon3] that Purifier be[pres.sg.23] .

149They go to the Triveni of rivers (meeting of the three rivers) thinking that to be the Purifier.

148कोई-कोई को यह भी मालूम नहीं नदियाँ कहाँ से आती हैं . kōī-kōī kō yah bhī mālūm nahī̃ nadiyā̃ kahā̃ sē ātī haĩ . kōī[pn.;d.] kō[postp.] yah[pn.sg.d.] bhī[p.] mālūm[adj.] nahī̃[neg] nadī[n.f.ī=>iyā̃;pl.d.] kahā̃ sē[postp.] ānā[pres.pl.f.12hon3] . some to this too x not river where from come[pres.pl.f.12hon3] . 149पहाड़ से आती हैं . pahāṛ sē ātī haĩ . pahāṛ[n.m.;sg.,d.] sē[postp.] ānā[pres.pl.f.12hon3] . x from come[pres.pl.f.12hon3] .

150Some don't even know where the rivers come from; they come from the mountains.

ānā[pres.sg.m.23] . however (water|x[inf.f.]) then ocean from come[pres.sg.m.23] .

151However, water comes from the ocean.

151बादल बरसते हैं तो ऊंचे पहाड़ होने कारण बर्फ जम जाती है . bādal barastē haĩ tō ūñchē pahāṛ hōnē kāraṇ barph jam jātī hai . bādal[n.m.;sg.,d.] barasnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] tō ūñch[adj.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] pahāṛ[n.m.;sg.,d.] hōnā[inf.m.pl.,o.] kāraṇ[n.m.;sg.,d.] barph[n.f.;sg.] jamnā[pres.sg.f.23.root+jānā] . cloud shower[pres.pl.m.12hon3] then elevated x be[inf.m.pl.,o.] because x x[pres.sg.f.23.root+jānā] .

152When clouds rain, then, because the mountains are high, the water becomes ice.

152फिर धूप लगने के कारण जब बर्फ गलती है तो पानी इकट्ठा होकर नदियों में आता है . phir dhūp lagnē K|kē kāraṇ jab barph galtī hai tō pānī ikaṭṭhā hōkar nadiyō̃ mē̃ ātā hai . phir[adv.]|phirnā[root] dhūp[n.m.;sg.,d.] lagnā[inf.m.pl.,o.] K|kā[postp.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] kāraṇ[n.m.;sg.,d.] jab barph[n.f.;sg.] galnā[pres.sg.f.23] tō pānī[n.m.;sg.,d.]|pānā[inf.f.] ikaṭṭhā[adj.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] hōnā[abs.] nadī[n.f.ī=>iyō̃;pl.o.] mē̃[postp.] ānā[pres.sg.m.23] . (then|turn[root]) sunshine x[inf.m.pl.,o.] (K|of) because when x x[pres.sg.f.23] then (water|x[inf.f.]) together be[abs.] river in come[pres.sg.m.23] .

153Then, when the sun shines, the ice melts and the water collects and flows into the rivers.

153अब विचार करो कि पतित-पावन परमपिता परमात्मा ज्ञान का सागर वा ज्ञान नदियाँ  ? ab vichār karō ki patit-pāvan parampitā paramātmā gyān kā sāgar vā gyān nadiyā̃  ? ab[adv.] vichār[x] karnā[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2] ki[conj.] patit pāvan[n.m.;sg.,d.] parampitā[n.m.;sg.,d.] paramātmā[n.m.;sg.,d.] gyān kā sāgar[x] vā gyān[n.m.;sg.,d.] nadī[n.f.ī=>iyā̃;pl.d.]  ? now x do[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2] that Purifier Supreme Father Supreme Soul x or knowledge river  ? 154वा पानी का सागर और नदियाँ  ? vā pānī kā sāgar aur nadiyā̃  ? vā pānī[n.m.;sg.,d.]|pānā[inf.f.] kā[postp.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] sāgar[n.m.;sg.,d.] aur nadī[n.f.ī=>iyā̃;pl.d.]  ? or (water|x[inf.f.]) of ocean and river  ?

154So, now, just think about it: Are the Supreme Father, the Supreme Soul, the Ocean of Knowledge and the rivers of knowledge the Purifier, or is it the ocean and rivers of water?

155बहुत अन्धकार में धक्का खाते रहते हैं . bahut andhkār mē̃ dhakkā khātē rahtē haĩ . bahut andhkār[n.m.;sg.,d.] mē̃[postp.] dhakkā[n.m.ā=>ā;sg.d.] khānā[pres.pl.m.12hon3.pres-part+rahnā] . very darkness in x eat[pres.pl.m.12hon3.pres-part+rahnā] .

155People are stumbling a lot in the darkness.

156अब उनको कैसे बतायें कि यह पतित-पावनी नहीं है , यह तो बरसात का पानी है . ab unkō kaisē batāyē̃ ki yah patit-pāvnī nahī̃ hai , yah tō barsāt kā pānī hai . ab[adv.] vah[pn.pl.kō] kaisā[adj.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] batānā[opt.pl.12hon3] ki[conj.] yah[pn.sg.d.] patit pāvan[n.f.ī=>ī;sg.] nahī̃[neg] hōnā[pres.sg.23] , yah[pn.sg.d.] tō barsāt[n.f.;sg.] kā[postp.ā=>ā;m.sg.d.] pānā[pres.sg.23.oblig1] . now that[.kō] how tell[opt.pl.12hon3] that this Purifier not be[pres.sg.23] , this then rain of x[pres.sg.23.oblig1] .

156How can you tell them that rivers are not the Purifier and that that is just rainwater?

ānā[pres.sg.m.23] , bādal[n.m.;sg.,d.] phir[adv.]|phirnā[root] sāgar[n.m.;sg.,d.] sē[postp.] pānī[n.m.;sg.,d.]|pānā[inf.f.] khīñchnā, khaiñchnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] . cloud from (water|x[inf.f.]) come[pres.sg.m.23] , cloud (then|turn[root]) ocean from (water|x[inf.f.]) pull[pres.pl.m.12hon3] .

157Water comes from the clouds; the clouds draw water from the ocean.

158पानी तो पतित-पावन हो नहीं सकता . pānī tō patit-pāvan hō nahī̃ saktā . pānī[n.m.;sg.,d.]|pānā[inf.f.] tō patit pāvan[n.m.;sg.,d.] hōnā[root]|hōnā[pres.pl.2] nahī̃[neg] saknā[pres-part.m.sg.d.] . (water|x[inf.f.]) then Purifier (be[root]|be[pres.pl.2]) not can[pres-part.m.sg.d.] .

158Water cannot be the Purifier.

, hē patit pāvan[n.m.;sg.,d.] ānā[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2] . sing[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] too be[pres.pl.12hon3] Purifier x , x Purifier come[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2] .

159They sing: The Purifier is Rama who belongs to Sita. 160O Purifier, come!

160आत्मायें कहती हैं हे पतितों को पावन बनाने वाले बाबा रहम करो . ātmāyē̃ kahtī haĩ hē patitō̃ kō pāvan banānē vālē bābā rahm karō . ātmā[n.f.+ē̃;pl.d.] kahnā[pres.pl.f.12hon3] hē patit[n.m.+ō̃;pl.o.] kō[postp.] pāvan[adj.] banānā[inf.m.pl.,o.] vālā[adj.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] bābā rahm[n.m.;sg.,d.] karnā[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2] . soul say[pres.pl.f.12hon3] x impure to pure create[inf.m.pl.,o.] those who Baba mercy do[opt.pl.2,imp.pl.2] .

161Souls say: O Purifier of the impure! 162Baba, have mercy!

161बाप समझाते हैं - यह भक्ति के धक्के खाने से कोई पावन बनते नहीं हैं . bāp samjhātē haĩ - yah bhakti K|kē dhakkē khānē sē kōī pāvan bantē nahī̃ haĩ . bāp[n.m.;sg.,d.] samjhānā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] - yah[pn.sg.d.] bhakti[n.f.;sg.] K|kā[postp.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] dhakkā[n.m.ā=>ē;sg.o.,m.pl.d.] khānā[inf.m.pl.,o.]|khānā[n.m.ā=>ē;sg.o.,m.pl.d.] sē[postp.] kōī[pn.;d.] pāvan[adj.] bannā[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] nahī̃[neg] hōnā[pres.pl.12hon3] . father explain[pres.pl.m.12hon3] - this devotion (K|of) x (eat[inf.m.pl.,o.]|eat[n.m.ā=>ē;sg.o.,m.pl.d.]) from some pure become[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] not be[pres.pl.12hon3] .

163The Father explains: No one becomes pure by stumbling around in devotion. 164Rivers are eternal.

162यह नदियाँ तो अनादि हैं ही . yah nadiyā̃ tō anādi haĩ hī . yah[pn.sg.d.] nadī[n.f.ī=>iyā̃;pl.d.] tō anādi[adj.] hōnā[pres.pl.12hon3] hī[p.] . this river then eternal be[pres.pl.12hon3] only .

165Water is for drinking and for irrigating the fields.

168I have come to make you pure.

169The golden age was a pure world.

ānā[pres.sg.m.1] tum[pn.pl.kō] pāvan[adj.] banānā[inf.m.pl.,o.] . I come[pres.sg.m.1] you[.kō] pure create[inf.m.pl.,o.] .

170This is an impure world.

167सतयुग पावन दुनिया थी . satyug pāvan duniyā thī . satyug[n.m.;sg.,d.] pāvan[adj.] duniyā[n.f.;sg.] hōnā[past.f] . golden age pure world be[past.f] . 168यह है पतित दुनिया . yah hai patit duniyā . yah[pn.sg.d.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] patit[adj.] duniyā[n.f.;sg.] . this be[pres.sg.23] impure world .

171Those who were pure have become impure by taking 84 births.

169जो पावन थे वही 84 जन्म ले पतित बने हैं इसलिए फिर पावन बनने के लिए बाप को बुलाते हैं . jō pāvan thē vahī 84 janma lē patit banē haĩ isliē phir pāvan bannē kē liē bāp kō bulātē haĩ . jō[pn.;d.] pāvan[adj.] hōnā[past.pl] vahī 84 janma lēnā[opt.sg.23] patit[adj.] bannā[pres-perf.pl.m.12hon3] isliē phir[adv.]|phirnā[root] pāvan[adj.] bannā[inf.m.pl.,o.] kē liē[x] bāp[n.m.;sg.,d.] kō[postp.] bulānā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] . that pure be[past.pl] this 84 x impure become[pres-perf.pl.m.12hon3] therefore (then|turn[root]) pure become[inf.m.pl.,o.] for father to call[pres.pl.m.12hon3] .

172Therefore, they call out to the Father to make them pure. 173There has been the stage of descent for half a cycle.

ādhākalp sē utartī kalā hōtī āī hai . ādhākalp[n.m.;sg.,d.] sē[postp.] utarnā[pres-part.f.] kalā[n.f.;sg.] hōnā[pres-perf.sg.f.23.pres-part+ānā] . for half a cycle from go down[pres-part.f.] degree be[pres-perf.sg.f.23.pres-part+ānā] .

174Bharat was very happy in the golden age; it was pure.

171भारत सतयुग में बहुत सुखी था , पावन था . bhārat satyug mē̃ bahut sukhī thā , pāvan thā . bhārat[n.m.;sg.,d.] satyug[n.m.;sg.,d.] mē̃[postp.] bahut sukhī[adj.] hōnā[past.m.sg] , pāvan[adj.] hōnā[past.m.sg] . Bharat golden age in very happy be[past.m.sg] , pure be[past.m.sg] .

175It is now unhappy because it is impure.

172अब दुःखी है क्योंकि पतित हैं इसलिए पुकारते हैं ओ गॉड फादर और फिर कह देते उनका नाम-रूप है नहीं . ab duḥkhī hai kyōṅki patit haĩ isliē pukārtē haĩ ō god father aur phir kah dētē unkā nām-rūp hai nahī̃ . ab[adv.] duḥkhnā[pres-perf.sg.f.23] kyōṅki patit[adj.] hōnā[pres.pl.12hon3] isliē pukārnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] O God Father[x] aur phir[adv.]|phirnā[root] kahnā[root] dēnā[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] vah[pn.pl.kā] nām rūp[n.m.;sg.,d.] hōnā[pres.sg.23] nahī̃[neg] . now hurt[pres-perf.sg.f.23] because impure be[pres.pl.12hon3] therefore call[pres.pl.m.12hon3] x x and (then|turn[root]) say[root] give[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] that[.kā] name and form be[pres.sg.23] not .

176This is why they call out: O God, the Father! 177Then they say that He doesn't have a name or form. 178So, to whom are they calling out?

173तब पुकारते किसको हैं  ? tab pukārtē kiskō haĩ  ? tab pukārnā[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] kaun[pn.sg.kō] hōnā[pres.pl.12hon3]  ? for only then call[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] who[.kō] be[pres.pl.12hon3]  ?

179They don't even understand this much!

174यह भी समझते नहीं जैसे कहते हैं आत्मा स्टॉर मिसल है . yah bhī samajhtē nahī̃ jaisē kahtē haĩ ātmā star misal hai . yah[pn.sg.d.] bhī[p.] samajhnā[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] nahī̃[neg] jaisā[adj.ā=>ē;m.o.,m.pl.] kahnā[pres.pl.m.12hon3] ātmā[n.f.;sg.] star misāl[x] hōnā[pres.sg.23] . this too understand[pres-part.m.pl.,o.] not like say[pres.pl.m.12hon3] soul star example be[pres.sg.23] . 175चमकता है अजब सितारा . chamaktā hai ajab sitārā . chamaknā[pres.sg.m.23] ajab[adj.] sitārā[n.m.ā=>ā;sg.d.] . x[pres.sg.m.23] x star .

180They say that each soul is like a star, that a wonderful star shines in the centre of the forehead.

176आत्मा बिल्कुल छोटी बिन्दी मिसल है . ātmā bilkul chhōṭī bindī misal hai . ātmā[n.f.;sg.] bilkul[adv.] chhōṭā[adj.ā=>ī;f.] bindī[n.f.ī=>ī;sg.] misāl[x] hōnā[pres.sg.23] . soul at all small point example be[pres.sg.23] .

181A soul is absolutely tiny like a point.

182They also apply a tilak to the forehead and say that a wonderful star shines in the middle of the forehead. 183An imperishable part of 84 births is recorded in the soul, which is as tiny as a point.
